Review The Bellagio Tuck Shop - Bondi

Sandy L
Nice cosy little spot for breakfast with both indoor and outdoor seating. Food was promptly served. The bowl was a generous serving size. The breakfast burger was a little on the smaller side.

Excellent Pablo and Rusty’s coffee, outdoor seating, nice menu and very close to Bondi junction. It’s one of the gem cafes on the edge of Bondi junction, if you are visiting Westfield and looking for something decent then go visit.

Usually I love this place, but what happened to the service today? The team is isually bustling and on it. But today, I visited during a lull. Cute young waiter ignored me to serve his buddy first. Then had a chat with his mate while my holding my drink and let it go cold. I checked on my order and was about to cancel it, when it arrived. How long does toast take? Great flavours, always good chai here, and yummy toast! But, hey, please don't treat me like I'm invisible (kudos to the friendly waitress).

Nice little cafe at one end of Bondi Junction. Modern Australian with a tinge of Mediterranean influence. We came for a Thursday lunch and it wasn't crowded. The waitress was lovely and friendly. Had the Green Bowl and Southern Fried Chicken which was very well presented and had fresh ingredients, but both dishes were too heavily salted, which was disappointing.

First time eating here even though i walked past this place for the last 3 years. Very impressed by sandwhich serving sides, very tasty and crunchy. (French toast and Cauliflower sandwich) Didn't have to wait long considering it was a Monday mid morning.

It’s one of the few places around Bondi Junction with nice, healthy breakfast/lunch options. Although we visit this place regularly, I find the menu a bit limiting. I like their sweet options (almond croissants are amazing). If you’re picky about your bread (as I am), I’d definitely try the bread here. The quality is really good! During the weekends it can get quite busy, but its worth the wait. Usually it’s a 10-15min wait. You can sit inside (bigger communal tables; it’s cozy) or outside (it’s a busy road though). I like the turmeric latte, although the coffee is good too!

A busy little spot just outside the Bondi junction mall. The staff were on point and very friendly, the chai was out favourite brand (Prana) and Iggy's bread is some of the best in Sydney. The hummus dish was fresh and tasty, with good texture between the hummus and the Freud chickpeas. The smoky relish was a nice finishing touch. Will definitely be back!

I must say, this was a surprise. Coffee is excellent. Service is nice. The ambience is very simple and clean. I had the brisket sandwich with was filled with coriander, coconut slaw, and delicious meat. Surprising and tasty. The cinnamon scroll was delicious too. Great little place!

Unfortunately since they've changed to Bellagio tuckshop, the food has gone downhill and the portion is a lot smaller. It used to be my go to place every weekend but yesterday I had the tuckshop brekky and the bread was almost as thin as cruskits, everything was cold when it arrived and to top it off they forgot the tomatoes and didn't even apologise when I mentioned it. If I pay $22 for breakfast I expect it to make me feel content and I don't have to ask for what's meant to be on my plate.

Food is good, a nice twist to the usual breakfast, but it is definitely overpriced and doesn't match the plain interior and slightly uncomfortable furniture. It's also a bit disappointing they don't have high chairs for toddlers - don't think I ever been to a place that doesn't have that before.

Breakfast Nelson Road this morning was superb Avo smash was sooo good. Excellent coffee & great service

Best breakfast in Sydney. There are at least four meals on the breakfast menu that are a 10/10. The brisket is incredible!!!

My partner and I took some of his relatives from overseas here for lunch and it was the best decision. Everyone absolutely loved their food and the coffee was delicious. A great experience! We were so glad we chose Nelson Road Tuck Shop!

Arrived to get some take away coffee and juice with my kid to be told immediately they weren't child friendly, had no juice and to go to their other cafe if we wanted juice. After waiting 15 mins for coffee and a toastie they forgot the food order and the coffee was the pits. Sour and bitter. Won't ever go again.

Highly recommend! Always great coffee and friendly staff
Alison Webster
Dirty plates and a human hair artfully draped across the food. Staff disinterested and less than professional.

Update: I’ve been here three times now and I am always very impressed. The food is just so tasty! Their buckwheat beer porridge is textured and delicious, don’t be fooled by its looks! The brisket bowl is also packed with flavor, with a generous serving, and honestly every bite was orgasmic. The service here is also super welcoming and friendly. Definitely worth it! Officially my favorite cafe!

Tuckshop Breakfast : 😍 Amazing
Quinoa & Coconut Bircher : 😍 Amazing
French Onion & 3 Cheese : 😁 Great

Lovely little corner cafe that was a nice treat on a nice day. Tuckshop Breakfast was a soldi fulfilling dish that had little bits of things that made it all compliment each other. Loved the Quinoa & Coconut Bircher! It was refreshing and delicious. 3 cheese sandwich was a bit too ‘cheesy’ for me but my sister absolutely loved it so I think it’s up to the diner. Friendly staff that accommodated to our needs and served us with lovely smiles. Highly recommended.
Susan
Good service with good coffee. The food here was absolutely delicious. The Tuckshop Brekkie was fulfilling and each element was full of flavour, especially the gin cured salmon ! The muesli was also delicious and refreshing from both the dried and poached pineapple. The sago in the Bircher was an interesting touch.

Wow unexpected delicious lunch. Chanced upon this cute little cafe. Eggs on toast were so tasty. The bread was perhaps best I’ve ever had Partner had the brekkie sandwich. It was so decadent and so so tasty. Cannot fault the food. The service was warm and friendly A great experience.

This tuck shop had some nice outdoor seating to enjoy the street views. However, the wait for the breakfast toastie was just a tad too long. The place wasn’t full but I hadn’t expected a 30min wait for just an average toastie.
Lollieats
Good spot for a healthy breakfast. Coffee was good and food was tasty. Had the toast with ricotta and poached fruit, nice portion size and reasonably priced. Baked good looked delicious. Atmosphere pleasant, would definitely go back for more.
Stephanie Cuda
We ordered a three cheese toastie which was more like a ginger, cabbage toasted sandwich and their signature breakfast had too many strong spices on all the foods on the plate. The flavours were contrasting and overpowering. The food was also over priced.
Amanda Nguyen
Presentation on point. Food smells fresh, food taste fresh. Bread was also fresh and absolutely amazing. I’m happy that I came to eat here. Salmon was a bit on the salty side but still fresh. Cucumbers were thinly sliced, capers were surprisingly not entirely salty. Beautiful!

Renamed as Bellagio Tuck Shop, Nelson Road Tuck Shop is a contemporary cafe in Bondi Junction which offers an assortment of brunches with a fresh twist.

As usual, my day started with a flat white. The flat white was served scalding hot and had a much higher proportion of espresso than milk. Hence, it tasted bitter and crawled on my palate. I waited 30 minutes for my lunch, a certain Indian Breakfast Dahl but it didn’t arrive. Service is very slow, it seems.

I usually come here during week time, tye the coffee guy is always super kind and smiling and always nailed my coffee. Came here weekend time, the guy taking the order got it wrong (weak skinny cap instead of mocha) and the guy who mad the coffee did it wrong as well delivering a not at all weak coffee. Not an happy customer today sorry guys.

Awesome staff, great food and fantastic coffee - and that's a big compliment coming from Melbournians ;) definitely recommend!! Only downside is there was a lot of coriander on the menu and mixed in the food, so it couldn't be left out....
@burgersnbikinis
Follow my insta @burgersnbikinis

The line up to get a table at Nelson Rd Tuckshop should give you all the hint you need - the food here is worth waiting for. This corner cafe is not your average Bondi brunch either - it's fancy brunch at super reasonable prices.

I went with a group of friends for Sunday brunch, and while the location is nothing special, the food certainly is.

Take a look at the photos for an idea of our spread. We got everything from the pumpkin smash toast, to the beautiful take on fruit salad and yoghurt, a fried chicken burger and the most stunning creation of cured salmon I have ever seen.

The food is on point, your insta game will be strong, and you can conveniently hit the shops to work off your brunch.

Saz - Burgersnbikinis

Xx

We were on holidays it was a Saturday morning 9am and we couldn't believe we had to stand on the footpath while we where placed on a waiting list to have breakfast. My Lord was it worth the wait a quirky healthy menu with heaps of variety and our meal was plentiful that left your taste buds wanting for more. The Coffee was one of the best coffee's I experienced in Sydney. Well Done we will visit again some day:)

Unique menu. A total stand out amongst the crowd. Busy and people waiting for tables yet the customer service is top notch for those at tables and also for those waiting. Breakfast today was out of this world amazing! Have eaten here plenty of times before and can guarantee it's always this good.

Always busy here and for very good reason. An extensive menu, great coffee (served with a little chocolate coated coffee bean) and delicious bottled smoothies. Something g to please everyone.

Best breakfast / brunch before you hit the beach
Light and refreshing. It will brighten your day with no doubt.
Toothsome food, refreshing drinks, great coffee in a relaxed setting
Highly recommended What did we order?
1. Sri Lankan Curried Egg on pumpkin pumpernickel (an absolute WINNER! Must try)
2. Beetroot & Gin Cured Salmon Tartine
(Not a fan of gin cured salmon)
3. Blood Orange & Grapefruit Bircher
(nutty and refreshing, LOVE it )
4. Orange, Almond and Pistachio Cake (Divine!)

Buzzfeed told me to go here and dam they was right. Beautiful atmosphere, beautiful staff, food presentation perfection and quality coffee. Good for those tourists thinking about a pre beach to beach walk.

Stopped in for a free coffee for international coffee day promo, thanks to Zomato and Nelson Road Tuckshop. The cafè has a cool rustic set up and the staff are friendly. I browsed the menu and there were a few options that tickled my fancy, so I decided to dine in. I was tossing up between

Stopped in here for a couple of coffees but after seeing the food coming out will definitely be back to sample. Some of the breakfast options that caught our eye include the Sri Lankan curried eggs, smashed avo and 4 cheese toastie! This cafe is on a popular corner in Bondi Junction with seating inside and out and it's not unusual to see a line up for tables or takeaway coffee. This place has a great vibe and the treats at the counter look tempting. If you come after 11:30 you can get the lunch options including pulled pork sandwich and the southern fried chicken burger. This is one tuck shop we will be coming back to

This cute cafe in bondi junction is absolutely gorgeous. Coffee is great and the food is absolutely delicious. Smoked salmon hash is definitely worth a try. And I have to write this: your tastebuds will awake with the saltiness from the smoked salmon, buttery-ness from the potatoes, bittersweetness from the fried brussel sprouts, and freshness from the zucchini and fennel salad. Moreover, you get a poached egg covered in hollandaise sauce on top. Perfecto!

Awesome coffee, great customer service and delicious food. Will be back!

My favourite breakfast place. Coffee is great, menu is original (everything I've tried so far is different from standard thoroughfare and tastes great), friendly staff and music is great. Only downside is it gets very busy later in the morning and isn't the largest place so go early (not really their fault). Great for sit down breakfast but go before 9am.

Great coffee - never had a bad one here. Comes with chocolate coffee beans sometimes. Helpful and attentive staff. I've had a sub par dish from this place after being vegetarian I decided to chop and choose a dish - fail. Shout out to the guy who haves as complimentary muffins one afternoon when I spent almost 2 hours chatting with my friend.

Love this place! Coffee is consistently great & can't go past the winter green brekkie bowl! My BFF's fav is the pork + fennel sausage roll! Grab a table outside in the sunshine. Service is good too!

Tuckshop Breaky & Breakfast Toastie are amazing!
They also change their salads weekly. Awesome if you like some variety from your favourite coffee place.
(Yes, their coffee is excellent too!)

I have been to this little gem of a Cafe a couple of times now and I keep coming back. The menu is just too convincing and wants to get explored. My favorite so far was their 5 Grain Winter Porridge with Poached Pear which was cooked in Pale Ale- something completely new for me and so ridiculously good!!
The service is relaxed and always on point and I love the big glass doors which in warm days are all open and let the fresh air flow around, their huge vases with pretty flowers and shelfs full of house made pickles, chutneys, marmalades and other good stuff.
I can not recommend the Tuckshop highly enough!
Suzy Of Sydney
Had lunch here today: yum yum yum. I ate the hot smoked salmon with curried egg, pumpernickel and a green pickly salad. So delicious! The coffee (Campos) is good too. Pastries look and taste beautiful. We were lucky to find a table on a Sunday at prime brunch time, especially since the bench seats are very uncomfortable! The service is good but I think staff were a little bit flustered and so appeared rude at times. But, nonetheless, I'll definitely we back!

Great for some tasty vegetarian options. Had the kale salad with a soft boiled egg. Was quite delicious and very filling. The coffee was ok and the layout and ambience was quite nice. A must try for the sweet tooth in you... Red velvet cronut!

So we got a bit hungry on the way to Bondi Beach and we stopped by here for a light lunch. Four of us squeezed around a round table outside which seemed perilously small in amongst the strong gales of wind coming at us and looked through the menu for something small to order. There wasn't much in terms of meals under $15, but after being firmly encouraged by a very enthusiastic waiter to hurry up and order, two of us ordered breakfast toasties, the other two of us ordered two sides of chicken and we got a serving of chips to share.

The toastie was a pleasant surprise. Crisp sourdough with generous amounts of ham and some delicious bacon chutney. The Southern-Fried Chicken w/ Sriracha and chips weren't bad either. We were all surprisingly full.

Would probably return for a proper lunch next time I'm in the neighbourhood.

Stopped here for a late breakfast. I was running late so I asked my friend to order me something filling and arrived to one seriously impressive dish.
The tuckshop breaky was eagerly awaiting for me to devour it, a great mix of flavours of pumpkin, egg, surprisingly sweet vine tomatoes and avocado. The crispy pastrami was a first for me and I absolutely loved it. The staff are fun and welcoming and really compliments the great vibe that is flowing in the Cafe. Just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Bondi Westfield which is a nice little bonus as well. Try not to pay at the counter as you will be immediately overwhelmed by the diet ending treats. But if you were wondering the gluten free brownie was delicious. Great value and I cannot recommend enough.

Pretty happy with this place!

The staff are into it - into their food, and into giving you good service. The menu is creative and interesting, and the kitchen manages to pull it off nicely.

My tuckshop brekky was balanced, substantial and unusual in a really satisfying way, and even though my friend was a bit disappointed that her salmon was cold, her meal was delicious and I thought very well executed.

Yummy chai, good coffee, space with personality, sincere attentive staff, and a menu that I want to explore to the end. Looking forward to returning.

Not greasy or heavy! A menu that I couldn't stop reading! I love it when I come across a menu that's not the same same as everywhere else. Except, I was here to try a dish regularly ordered by a friend, with a few changes to it! The food was delicious, the service was a little slow, it was very popular with lots of people waiting for tables, and the juice super tasty. I will be back to work through more of the menu.

{ _anne_with_an_e // review }
I'd generally lean towards the savoury breakfast choice but decided on the French Toast. If ever there was a breakfast meal that would convert me - it would be this. The entire dish was so balanced - not too sweet but just enough, great combination of textures, surprisingly refreshing and light. Very satisfying! Recommended.

Must haves // french toast

Food: 4/5
Ambience: 4/5
Service: 4/5

Bondi beard town. Like the ronin of old, I wander around getting into mini-food adventures - Saturday Petersham/Dulwich Hill, Sunday Bondi Junction. Upping on the beard quotient would certainly indicate you've wandered closer to the city. Had heard different views about this place so decided to head there early to check it out. Had been past it several times before later in the day and always packed out with good looking people. Had the Tuckshop Brekky - boiled eggs, pancetta, confit tomatoes, avocado and sourdough. And with a side of beef brisket. What a combination. Sat at the long table and have to say that beef brisket was really really good and the water was cold - yay! Plenty of other food to take away but I didn't bite.

Ex-personal trainer Corina and husband Felix from the Bellagio Cafe have opened up a tuck shop to specifically cater to the needs of health conscious eastern suburbs taste buds. There will be no potato salads here! What you will find behind the glass display is a selection of substantial meals disguised as

... such fond memories of the Eggs & soldiers – Boiled eggs, chive sour cream, crispy capers & sourdough soldiers with asparagus ($14) that I just had to have it again – continuing in my love of egg dishes in glass containers with other things added to it....

Delicious and satisfying. This place is a real treat. I was holidaying from Melbourne with my sister and her kids and we stumbled across this place. Prices initially seemed a bit steep but we walked away feeling satiated and full of nutrients and definitely did not feel that we paid too much for what we got. The kale salad with quinoa falafel seemed small when it arrived but was packed with falafel and avocado and was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The smoothies were excellent, (the kids fought over them!)and the burger was perfectly fine. Contrary to what others have said our waiter and waitress were patient and engaging even though we had a slightly whiny child with us and we were being annoying with not being able to decide what to eat! The only let down was the pork and fennel sausage roll which was very dry and bland with only one flavouring of too much fennel, so not great, even for someone who really likes fennel like me. We plan to return during our short stay.

Yummiest coffee in The Junk.

Good coffee. Take away flat white was well made ....$4 though ..too exxy imo

Weekend service not great. I came here on a Saturday morning, food was great, service not. Wasn't offered water & when i asked for it, the waiter slammed it on the table & the cup was dirty :( Had to get up again to ask for a spoon to eat porridge. Shame their weekend service not the same as their weekday service :(

Excellent, original breakfast. I had the tuckshop breakfast with pancetta, (not-so-smashed) peas and soft boiled eggs. So light and refreshing for a "big brekky". My first time here and I will definitely be back.

Small menu, not much option for vegan/vegetarian - granola was delicious 6/10
Chai latte wasn't the best I've tried although thumbs up for using fresh tea leaves! 6/10
