Review Kellys Bar And Grill - Bondi

Alexandra Strydom
Great location, food is excellent, somewhat pricey though. I ordered a main, and when choosing a side I asked for chips and veggies. The waiter informed me that I could only have one or the other. When my meal arrived, it had the one side and a heap of fried onion on the side. A simple garden salad in place of the fried onion would have really improved the meal. It seems all of the meals come with fried onion, regardless of whether you ask or not. When you’re paying over $32 per main, I’d have expected to be able to choose 2 sides. Nonetheless, food is excellent.

This bar and grill is on the top level of Bondi Junction shopping centre and near the cinema so it is perfect for grabbing dinner before a movie. It is a large restaurant so not too many dramas with it being booked out. I went with my family for dinner and service was prompt and friendly. We got some amazingly soft and sweet bread to start and a few drinks. All of the table ordered a steak of different cuts. With the exception of one, most steaks were a tad over (ie the medium rare was medium, the medium was well etc.) The ones that were cooked effectively were the rare ones. That said, it is quality meat that was very nice. We got a range of sides like sweet potato fries and stringy onion rings which were great. I like that the menu is super large, you can choose your sides, sauces and order extra additions. In the higher price range so suitable for a special dinner.

Great bar n grill in the Junction. Boerwoers are a must and also creamed spinach! Careful with the complimentary brioche, it's massive!Awesome views of the east and city from almost every seat.

Kelly's at Bondi is my family's favourite for a great feed. We've been coming here for years! Our go to spot for occasions and special visits. Tonight's service was exceptionally great but overall consistent quality of food over the years is second to none. We always order lamb ribs, garlic prawns and Caesar salad. Tonight's eye fillet couldn't be more mouth watering. Barramundi was the special fish and cooked very well and taste very fresh. Keep up the great service and delicious food! Ps. My photos are terrible!

The food is great especially the steak however the service is average. Staff is a bit cold and not attentive. Good location near the cinema. Will be a good choice before or after movie.

Thumbs up for customer service! They accidentally made a mistake with our group booking but fixed it up later on. We had the set menu E - serving size was very generous. I was full from their entrees. Their foods were very high quality and tasty!

A relatively large steak and rib restaurant that’s very convenient for pre or post movie viewing. Kelly’s has been a cornerstone of the restaurant quarter since its inception, outlasting all its neighbours. It’s been some time since I was last there and I have to say I was disappointed. The food is still good, the steak perfectly cooked but it was all the little things the brioche bread is no longer complimentary (we still ordered it but it was small, not the “medium” size described) and it’s not fresh, whereas before it always came fresh out of the oven. The salt and pepper now comes in a supermarket pre-mixed disposable grinder and the bbq sauce is no longer in a proper bottle but a jar. All of which would have been ok if it were a pub meal but Kelly’s is charging proper restaurant prices. Others are now doing it better but there’s still hope that Kelly’s can hit their sweet spot again

The steaks are reasonably good, even though they are slightly expensive compared to the same quality you get elsewhere. The before-meal breads are surprisingly soft and tasty. Staff service is good. Look forward to dine properly here next time.

Use to be so good a few years ago. I was sorely disappointed this time, the pork ribs weren’t fresh and for $40-$50 for pork ribs, we only got one small sad row of baby back sized ribs. The beef ribs tasted much better but again the serving was smaller than any other rib place I’ve been to. I would not go back or recommend Kelly’s anymore.

Wonderful experience. Great taste. Decent vegetarian options and lovely service. A must visit place for Sydney siders. :) A perfect kitchen and grill.

I ordered food via deliveroo it was cold and 30mins late. It wasn’t even warm it was actually cold. This deliveroo service reflects on Kelly’s and my experience of Kelly’s bar and grill. What a shame I’ll never go back or recommend Kelly’s to anyone.

Friendly staff
nice view
Pork is plain which below expectation not as good as hurricane's seafood and chicken wing is soso
Their free bread is surprisely very good
Who would the best highlight of the dinner is free

This restaurant is absolutely up to standards. Food variety, service, location and atmosphere is quite amazing. Not to mention that mouth watering complimentary bread that they serve. This bread is defiantly exclusive to only Kelly's. A mix of softness and sweet, I have never had anything better. Ribs and steaks are great here, succulent and cooked well to your requests. Even though there isn't seating outside looking over the Bridge, you do have the option to walk outside and enjoy the view. In regards to booking, This is a place you will require to book in advance to avoid disappointment at the door especially if they are occurring a busy night. I have returned on many occasions and defiantly will come back especially if they still have that bread!!

Situated on the top floor of one of Westfield Bondi Junctions buildings.

Quick and friendly service, seated straight away near the windows which had a lovely view of Bondi and beyond.

Variety of menu options to choose from, along with some cocktails and a wide diversity of wines as well. Menu items weren’t surprisingly expensive as it is Bondi after all, but the prices of everything were well suited when the food came out.

Got served some bread and butter without asking (just complimentary) for a little entree before our main meals. My friend ordered the fish of the day (which was grilled barramundi fillets) and I ordered the boerewors platter (which is just bangers and mash with a serving of peas and onion rings??) and both dishes were delicious.

Would definitely recommend this place if you’re in the Bondi Junction area😌

Food recommendation: boerewors platter🍽

Came here again to give this place another shot re: my previous review below. The only thing that was better was the service. We ordered different things to last time. The crispy pork special was definitely a frozen box of nuggets deep fried and lathered in sauce. The chargrilled beef ribs, were just ordinary ribs. I still don’t think much of the food they serve or the pricing that goes along with it.

Original review: Don’t waste your time on this place. We came here on a Sunday for lunch and the restaurant wasn’t overly busy. We waited over 30min for the mains to come out, I’m not sure if they were hunting the pigs themselves!? Its safe to say that the pork ribs looked old and the food definitely wasn’t worth waiting for. The staff weren’t too phased at amount of time it took for the food to come out. The food pricing is not proportionate to the quality of food you get. I won’t be visiting here again.

This restaurant is located on the top for of Bondi Junction with the Best view and plus, u get to enjoy a delicious meal too. One of the nicest steakhouses and what’s nice is you can make up your own dish if u don’t want exactly what’s printed on the menu. The best part of the meal is the brioche bread that they give u to start ❤️ if you like a good steak or even some boerewors then this place is calling u 😉
Quality! It Shouldnt Be That Hard! Love A Wonderful Mouth Full Of Wholesome FOOD!
I can here to celebrate my with a friend a his new job, it’s a prime location with harbour bridge views and the city.

The staff are nice, we had the waiter take our order. One of the mains came out wrong but my friend didn’t want to case any problems. He ordered Caesar salad with chicken. It came with out he chicken.

The complimentary bread is so fresh and yummy I just want to eat it all. I only had a little bit because I wanted to save room for my pasta.

We also order the garlic bread it looked like it would have a lot of taste but was a little tasteless.

It all came out straight after one another so quickly, the spinach pasta was way over priced for the serving of it. What u see in the photo is all you get the was a single layer of pasta 8-9 pieces max...

The cocktails where strong and good.
I wouldn’t rush back here. But the experience was ok!
I have to say their food is so average. Ribs taste really bad, not enough sauce on ribs.
Service is fine, but they delivered me wrong food.
Snail is average, pretty creamy but not enough flavoursome. In short, not gonna come next time.

AMAZING FOOD! I always went there for birthdays and their steak is to DIE FOR 💦😍! Service was great, view was amazing and loved the mash potatoes 😩❤️

If you want great steak, then this is the place to go. Make sure you book ahead or you will be turned away. I've always enjoyed my meals here and it's always been consistently good. I haven't tried anything else on the menu so I can't comment on the quality of other menu items but the steak is definitely beautifully cooked.

I had the grilled barramundi with rice and vegetables while my darling had a pepper burger. The food quality was below our expectations. My fish was a scrawny little piece. The burger patty was so dry, and the pepper sauce tasted so starchy. My poor darling also had to tolerate cold chips. It was disappointing!

Disgusted. I told them I was vegan so I was served the vegetarian platter ... no halomi and no creamed spinach ... was given boiled rice instead. There was no flavour and no sauces. They charged $29.95 for boiled rice, baked potato, steamed veg, corn and bland mushrooms. I told them I was disappointed and they should be ashamed to charge $30. They said that I had given them food for thought. No apology. No attempt to make it right. No attempt to retain me as a client. Shame on them.

I ordered online through Deliveroo. I'd been to Kelly's before at the junction and it was a reasonable meal for the $ with friends .
I spent a $100 thinking I'd get something similar . Wow, was I disappointed !!!!!
I ordered ribs ( 500g ) this included a side , I ordered the greens as my side ( 2 florets of broccoli and 10 green beans literally, I counted ) A Caesar salad with chicken $24 paid for this , I'd say cost $4 to make judging by what I got. 8 chicken wings and mashed potato $8.95 ( two spoonfuls in a plastic container at most )
I work in the industry, so called to voice my disappointment . I told the girl I spoke with ( who was professional ) that I wanted nothing in return, that I felt I should call and let know how poor the product I received was as I would want to know if this happened in one of my businesses. I was told owner would contact me, but nothing. I guess as long as they got the cash, they couldn't care. I will not be ordering again online.

Thursdays mean Adventure time with @theskinnyonsam and today saw us venture over to Bondi where we visited @kellysbarandgrill in Westfield for lunch.

Beef burger: 250g prime grade beef, tomato, Spanish onion, pickles PLUS I added a 250g prime beef patty with a 3 pepper corn crust, crispy bacon, cheese and pink sauce 🍔

Double 250g patties makes for a big burger 💪 but the pepper crust was amazing, and the tang of the pink sauce lifted each mouthful. The snails, garlic bread and mango smoothie may also have slowed down proceedings but I have no regrets 😅👌
This big eatery is set up high in the Westfield building and is certainly in a choice spot. With high ceilings and sweeping city views, the setting is bright and airy. It’s a whole new world up in the restaurant precinct and it’s hard to believe you are actually in a shopping centre! Wow – the menu is so extensive and looks enticing. Share plates and entrees, lovely salads, seafood and of course MEAT! Do it your way here – the menu is designed to be flexible. Eat a little or a lot, share, don’t share, choose your salad and meat combinations, add some sides, choose your sauces – we love all this choice! It really is about the customers being happy here. It felt like a cocktail moment, so we ordered a pine-lime crush and a berry martini. Nice! The berry martini was a rich deep crimson colour and had a lovely fruity kick to it. The pine-lime was reminiscent of a splice - as it should be.

Kellys Bar and Grill is the ideal destination to cater to all you steak needs. They use the finest produce, and prepare your steak preference to perfection. Overall, very impressed with the service, food presentation and the quality of produce available. Definitely recommending to all my friends and family.

Marinate your taste buds with a casual lunch and a skyline view in the distance, but unfortunately with a little sour level of service. Prepare your feast starting with the mixed entree platter and a side of lightly crumbed camembert. Continue on to mains whether it be the steak or rack of ribs which were both pretty delicious.
Excuse Me Waiter
Kelly’s Bar and Grill has been a fixture in the Eastern Suburb food scene for some 20 years, and we were excited to give it a try one sunny afternoon. Being an airy and bright restaurant, we were seated next to the windows which gave us the beautiful vista of Sydney skyline from the Harbour Bridge to the CBD.

There are a few things that spell great night out for me and Kelly’s Bar and Grill can offer them: smoky grilled meat, ribs, fresh plump seafood and something nice and strong to wash it all down with. Chambord lychee crush $18Lychee caipiroska $18 Southern peach tea $18. Complimentary brioche challah

With a view that sets the scene, Kelly’s Bar and Grill is the perfect spot to finish up a day of intense shopping or sun-tanning on the beach. Whether for a hearty dinner or a couple of drinks watching the sun set behind the bridge, Kelly’s should be on your list!. To start the evening, complimentary bread was served. It was brioche style, sweet and moreish. We had to remind ourselves not to finish every crumb as this was just the beginning.

Kelly's is our family's default for catch ups and non significant birthdays which was the occasion today. The menu selection is varied but steak is where they shine. Whilst today two of the five steaks ordered were very over, this is unusual for Kelly's in my experience and they brought out replacements. I sometimes think I come here just for the complimentary brioche loaf. WHO DOESNT LOVE FREE BRIOCHE. We got some cocktails today too, really good.

We always go for their ribs and steak everytime we dine here but this time we choose their seafood platter instead.. I'd say the portion is just right for sharing and you simply got a chance to try lil bit of everything. Grilled king prawn was a bit dry and fishy but the deep fried calamari was so tender and crispily good. The fish was lightly battered and you can also choose which sauce to go with the mussels (neapolitan or cream sauce).

Had their eye fillet as well, asked for medium but they arrived medium well - Still fine for us as long as it's not "well-donely burnt" and the middle part was still juicy and tender

After a busy week, we were all looking forward to having dinner and drinks with a view at Kelly’s Bar and Grill in Bondi Junction! The menu at Kelly’s has some amazing steak and ribs options, but also a bunch of great vegetarian friendly dishes too! We decided to skip the entrees and grab a few main dishes to share, so that we’d have room for dessert afterwards.

Kellys Bar and Grill is a restaurant located on the top floor of Bondi Junction which specialises in steak and rib dishes. The location of the restaurant gives it a great view of Sydney Harbour and the eastern suburbs which is quite nice in the evening and the venue is generally quite busy most days of the week.

Dined at Kelly's on a Friday night and it was a pleasant experience. The staff were on the ball ensuring everything was alright. We ordered various dishes from the mussels, garlic prawns, entree platter, steaks and veal parmigiana and they were all excellent. The steak was ok good quality - what you'd expect from a stead house - and the entrees were very tasty.

A fantastic place for dinner with a gorgeous view of the city skyline ! The menu is great and i love meat so this place is like my heaven! I highly recommend the 500gm T-bone and the Pork Ribs. Customer service is very attentive and it has a great atmosphere.

It is a good place for dinner if it is followed by a movie upstairs or a good place for lunch to start a long shopping in Westfield. You will have a good view if you have a seat by the window. The mussel and wine-taste soup are so delicious and unforgettable. I love it and strongly recommend it!

Comparing kelly with hurricane, I still prefer hurricane for their pork ribs and complimentary bread. Kelly definitely server better steak, scotch fillet would be my favourite. We also had linguini prawn and mussel with cream sauce, very average I would say. Service was great, it was a enjoyable dinner :).

Undisputed best steak house in Sydney's East. While other "brands" have lowered their standards and become more commercialised, Kelly's his maintained their high performance. Exceptional value for money, great portions and awesome service; for steaks, highly recommended.

Was skeptical going in as the steaks I've had in Sydney so far haven't been particularly good, especially because I'm comparing them to the best steaks in the world from South Africa. Kelly's, however, delivered a great piece of fillet and plate of boerewors that were cooked perfectly and tasted just like home. It seems to be modeled off a steak house in SA, and the owner is from SA so not surprised! Despite being in a mall the setting is very nice. The quality and flavor is the best I've found in Sydney yet, would recommend this as the best option in Sydney for hearty steak lovers, especially South Africans!

My friend and I came here to catch up over lunch and as we were the first diners, we sat by the window that had a view of the city. I haven't been here for ages and I was craving some meat so instead of going to the foodcourt downstairs, this was my first choice to book.

During the week, they have a lunch special menu where there is a selection of food items and a still/sparkling water or soft drink for $19.95 or beer/house wine for $23.95. I opted for their sirloin ($5 extra) which came with salad and chips and my friend tried their calamari. She enjoyed hers and my meat was good but if it was cooked medium rare as I requested, it would have been more tender and juicier compared to the medium I received.

Staff were friendly but service was a bit slow as there weren't many staff on the floor, but i didn't mind so much as we weren't in any rush today.

We were visiting from Melbourne and our daughter found this venue on Zomato. My wife was skeptical at first because it was located next to the cinemas. Everything we had was delicious - scotch fillet, snails, French onion soup, kids sausages, kids fish and chips, and kids schnitzel. The brioche bread was really good too. Our boy asked me to give this a 5 out of 5, and he's a real fussy eater.
Artforartssake
Kelly’s Steakhouse has been an institution in Bondi Junction for many years and that’s no mean feat - especially for a restaurant - to have survived and prospered for such a long time. So full marks to them for perfecting the art of running a restaurant and for providing a consistently high standard of food and service every time. And despite the crowds – and believe me, it’s always full, even on a weeknight - Kelly’s runs like a well-oiled machine.

The menu is fairly extensive – you can check it out online – with a large selection of mainly meat dishes, but with some vegetarian, pasta and fish choices. No matter what you choose though, you can be sure the quality will be first class.

The venue at the Westfield Shopping Centre is accessible and convenient. Parking is free after 7.00pm (except for Dec) or two hours free before 7.00pm (inc Dec). Westfield have also introduced a new ticketless parking scheme for added simplicity. So there’s no fiddling around with tickets anymore and so far, although it’s a fairly recent innovation, it works like a charm. Your registration number will be scanned when you drive in, even if you’re not registered with them. When you’re ready to leave just enter your reg. number using the keypad on the payment machine. All so easy now, as your number is scanned again as you leave. But I digress from the subject at hand, which is Kelly’s.

Despite its popularity, I find Kelly’s overly expensive and I wouldn’t eat here without a voucher or some other deal. We came for a friend’s birthday, which entitled our party to a 20% discount. That kept my share of the bill, for my wife and I to $75 and for that we got two juicy and tender steaks with all the trimmings, a small dish of pepper sauce, a Roquefort salad and a bottle of Fat Yak Pale Ale. See what I mean? Without the discount that would have been $95 for two main meals, one salad and a beer (which, by the way you can pick up a six-pack of for around $12 at BWS, that’s $2 a beer that they flog for $9).

I don’t find Kelly’s a particularly relaxing venue either or conducive to quiet, thoughtful conversation. The wooden chairs and tables, concrete floors and tiles and glass everywhere make this a noisy place and you can bank on it being pretty full most nights to make matters worse.

But having said all that, we did have a hassle-free evening. Our food was of the usual high standard we have come to expect from Kelly’s. My steak was a winner: tender meat, beautifully cooked just the way I like it with no red bits, but no sacrificing on taste. The chips and onion rings were crunchy and full of flavour and the black pepper and cream sauce (add another $3 for that) made the perfect accompaniment. My health conscious wife choose vegetables with her steak; they were fresh and nutritious. The Roquefort salad with its crispy lettuce and creamy blue cheese was an inspired choice. Portion sizes were just right, at 250g for the steaks and, with all the extras, that added up to a filling and satisfying meal.

Service from our pretty, cheerful waitress was fast and professional. Orders were quickly taken and meals came out promptly and in the correct order. I guess one consolation for the high prices is the free bread they always deliver to your table before the meals. Roughly one small knotted loaf for every four people, it’s a bit sweet for my liking, but I polished it off anyway.

Toilets are generally clean and well stocked and easy to find at the back of the restaurant. The menu is clearly laid and simple to follow.

So all in all, our evening went off without a hitch and everybody left feeling full and contented. No need to raid the fridge when you get home! Once again, Kelly’s delivered the goods, but at a cost.

But I guess I’m stuck with it now as every year, like clockwork we get our birthday vouchers. And who can pass up such a generous offer? So despite my misgivings, we’ll continue to go back – year after year.

Kelly's is absolutely delicious. We dropped by late on Thursday night after a movie (9pm), so it was no problem to get a seat. I had the sirloin steak with pepper sauce and baked potato, and my partner had the lamb shanks on mash. Everything was delicious!

My steak was amazing, and the black pepper and cream sauce was to die for. Great portions, too. The complimentary brioche bread was a nice touch, and super yummy too.

Overall, delicious food and brilliant service on top of that. Will happily come by again!

I've been there quite a few times now and its been beautiful! Only a 4.5 because it is a bit expensive, especially since I'm a student, but the photo is great quality!!! would recommend to everyone!

If you are into meat, steaks and burgers, this is the place to go! Very tasty food and it is brought out in a timely manner. The staff is generally very friendly.

Came for dinner and ordered Camembert cheese, Pork ribs, Kelly's hot bite. The cheese was fried and melted in your mouth also enjoyed the cranberry dip which went well as a dish. The pork ribs was nice and tender with right amount of sauce glazed. The steak had a nice peppercorn crunch but the texture for the price wasn't worth it. It was very annoying the fact that my steak knife didn't cut and had to use so much finger strength that my hands hurt after the meal. The price came to $107.05 gave $110 and the waitress said "do you need the change" never have I heard that. Answered no it's ok as I was so shocked. It was over priced and that quote from the staff topped it off.

Time after time I've had nothing but pleasant experiences at Kelly's bar and grill. Great service however they can get extremely busy so bookings are a must on weekends! One of my favourite mains is the lamb cutlets with a side of mash and salad, yum!!

NEVER AGIAN. It was my husband’s birthday so we wanted to order a large table for Friday night.
Over the phone everything seemed to be ok, then the woman said I need to complete a Booking form – um, ok (WTF?)
So the form stats that: I give my card details and for every person that doesn’t show up within 15 min I will be charged $10 ,That I can’t be more than 15 minutes late- they will take the table away, And Finally – a service charge of $40 – just because they felt like it – it doesn’t even go to the poor waitress.
We had 1 waitress – she was nice and good- but with 15 people just to order mains took almost 30 min. By the time we started eating it was a full hour.
Having to stress about when my guests will arrive and if they can’t arrive then having to pay a fine absolutely ruined the experience. If I had know in advance that these were to conditions I would have never ordered a place with them.
My friends and I all agreed that the experience isn’t worth the food!
And on top of everything else – the restaurant was half empty the whole time!!

Great steak but average ribs for me.. They also baked a very soft and delicious bread for starters! Service is ok and the atmosphere of the place is great :) Make sure you make a booking on weekends ..

There was much to love about Kellys Grill. Sitting atop Bondi Junction Westfield, it boasts fantastic view of Sydney’s skyscrapers and Harbour Bridge. The design of the restaurant itself is very stylish and posh. The food is, of course, exceptional without the need to queue or wait. Although, It is always suggested to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Pork ribs were good, not amazing or anything like that. It didn't reach my expectation as no meat was falling off the bone.
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
TrueLocal claims this is the best steakhouse in the state, so Alex Harmon had to see whether it deserved the meaty medallion. Here's what she thought: Located on top of Westfield Bondi Junction , I am blown away by the view - I've never been much of a shopping mall diner until now. Sydney Harbour dazzles me as I check out the menu, which ranges from steaks to vegetarian bakes. King Prawns ($20.99/4) are butterflied and honoured with a tinge of lemon and a crunchy head. Vegetarian Frittata ($14.95/2) are overly cheesy but still good on taste. I like it when a 'grill' isn't superficial about vegetable options, like overpriced garnishes. The coveted Sirloin ($27.95/250g) was wet aged 30 days and very tender; but somehow the Lamb Ribs ($27.95/small) stole the limelight - even outshining the view. They were toe-curlingly good, with a smoky barbeque flavour that seemed to come from within. The only fault I made was ordering Onion Rings ($6.95/small) - they come as a side and really sho

It was all wrong. Unfortunately when you have inexperienced/untrained people running a place this is what you get. The atmosphere is ok, the views are fantastic but we had a terrible food experience. Why do they give you free brioche when you have ordered garlic bread, I don't get it? The garlic bread was under cooked, the steak was over cooked, the sauces did not arrive till we asked for them and the salad was drowned in dressing. They charge high end prices for a very low end product. The kitchen does not seem to have a chef and in our experience, kitchen hands cannot cook. Try Hurricanes if you want a decent steak in Bondi.

A cut above. Food arrival well timed, quality high, staff friendly, overall cannot be faltered.
Have eaten here several times prior to reviewing and has retained the same
level of efficiency and quality each time. Great to be served meals of a
superior nature, not something you would cook at home.

Meh. My friend got the ribs I got the chicken burger...worst burger ever. I can get those sesame seed buns from woolies/coles. Not even mildly toasted. I guess I've had better. Tried my friends ribs. They were ok..hurricanes is better. Maybe next time I'll try a steak.

Don't bother.. Went to Kelly's with a group of 15. We were treated with such disdain by the staff. For a place that has 'just ask' on the menu, you wouldn't expect the manager to shout at you when you asked your question. I made the mistake of putting my cutlery down to talk to my friends, the waitress attempted to take away my half eaten food, only asking if I was done when she was walking away. There was not one polite worker there, all very arrogant. Settle down Kelly's, you're a 'restaurant' in a food court, not a Michelin hat degustation.
Kennnn_l
Went there for lunch yesterday. Service was poor. Forgot the complimentary bread and no apologies. Steak was overlooked and the chicken burgers looked very ordinary. The waitress wearing all black avoided eye contact and deliberately ignored us right up to the stage of trying to get the bill to get out of there. Will never go back again. (Was told by fellow diner that the boss was not there today). Terrible!!!

Not how it used to be. The main reason for our going was that our daughter was craving the lamb ribs. However when she picked them up the meat all fell off the bone and they had a definite slow cooked feel not the delicious barbecued crispiness.
My husband and I had a T bone and Sirloin respectively and although cooked correctly (medium rare) lacked the marinaded flavour that sets Kelly's apart from other Steakhouses. We will not be going back.

Went there today for lunch. Lunch menu is quite cheap. $20.95 for a sirloin with chips and salad. Steak was good. Bill took a long time to be collected but besides that it was pleasant.

Always wanted to go to this place and never have. If only this place opened before midday at 11am. It seems strange no weekend lunch menu only a weekday one.

Fabulous Steak!. This restaurant provides excellent steak, with brilliant service and a wonderful view of the harbour bridge, as well as the surroundings. Prices are not too steep either. I highly recommend to all.

Terrible service!. Food was decent but the waitresses were all rude and dismissive with superiority complexes. It was hard to get a hold of someone (and when we did they all looked very annoyed and unwelcoming), took almost an hour to get our orders in, almost another hour for the food to arrive, and even at the end as we approached the counter to pay (not wanting to wait any longer for yet another rude waitress to come along with our bill for us to pay), the cashier took my card for payment without even a glance at me! You could get the same quality food with much better service, and at least be welcomed, elsewhere. Definitely not worth it for the prices charged if all you're paying for is food to be delivered to your table.

I've been to this restaurant twice, once three years ago and today. I loved my first experience, dinner was splendid. Today lunch was disappointing. Food was delicious, as expected, but the long haired brunette waitress serving us was disgustingly rude. At one stage when we asked for extra cutlery, she walked away obviously shaking her head and rolling her eyes. Not to mention, we had to wave at her for ten minutes until we got her attention so we may order. Kelly's, I've experienced great service from your staff before, I know you guys have the potential for greatness, today wasn't your day.

That middle aged manager ( that is a male and almost balding) is on shift every evening is rude as well. Very smart assy attitude and makes silly jokes that are uncalled for. Mut!!

The worst unpleasant service ever. Great food and nice view. Sounds like it has all necessary elements to be a good restaurant. But all of the staff in this restaurant has forgotten a simple rule of serving a customer. A service with a smile. Everytime we try to make an eye contact with this waitress, she seemed very unwilling to attend to our needs. On top of that, the manager is absolutely arrogant. We came 15min late, apologized for not being able to call or answer his call because i was driving. Guess what he said; next time give the phone to someone who is not driving. I was just lost with words. Never expected that kind of attitude from a restaurant manager. I and my partner very like the food here but i gotta agree to some of the reviews down, too bad because we won't be coming back again. What a shame that this restaurant is just throwing away chances to gather more customers. Some people have good comments but don't be surprised to have the same experience we had to have.

RUBBISH. Over priced for the very very average food and awful service.

The male Maitre d' is so lovely, his communication skills are unlike that of other restaurants. We come here often and whether it is extremely busy on a weekend or calmer during the week, the service is second to none and the food is always exceptional quality. We continue to come here time after time and are yet to be disappointed.

The pork ribs: not as tasty as Hurricane's but they give you baby pork which is WAY softer than what they give you at Hurricane's. It's subjective but my parents like dining here better, better ambience and service was quicker. You've gotta try the fried onions they put next to your pork ribs. It's a win.

Best steaks in Sydney. Never been disappointed. Always choose Kelly's when the opportunity to go out arises.

Average food. Nice location. Food was pretty average. I had their pork ribs and there wasn't much flavour in it. We had a booking for 6pm but we have to leave at 8pm as they have a 2 session policy. For the price I paid, I would have got a better meal at Bondi Pizza or Hurricanes.

Don't go here. This restaurant is the most overpriced, disgusting restaurant I have ever been to. The staff were incredibly rude to us, telling us that our friend who arrived late could not order at a separate time to us as it is "too confusing for the staff". The air of superiority our waiter had was also very unpleasant and made us feel incredibly unwelcome. It took them around 45 minutes to come to our table and take our order, and then another 45 minutes for the food to arrive. I ordered the hamburger which was one of the worst burgers I've ever eaten. It was dry, tasteless and $20. For $20 I would expect something far superior to that dry lump of tasteless nothing. I would have enjoyed a McDonalds burger more (and probably gotten better service). The people on the table next to us got up and left because the same staff members were so rude to them, perhaps I'll do the same if I'm ever forced to go to this terrible restaurant again.

Omg waiting for ages for food to be ready. Almost an hour and it's not on a busy day. Food is average.

Service unimpressive, but the steaks were nice. The waitress was a bit too involved in wiping down a table and chairs, then sweeping rather than taking our order. The server who brought out the King Prawns entree somehow spilled oil all over my Mother's jacket. The manager came out to 'investigate' and merely offered to reimburse the dry cleaning. The jacket is now ruined, and the least he could have done was offer to not charge us for the entree. Too bad the food was so nice because we won't be coming back again.

Love the food and the classiness. Kelly's is a very upmarket restaurant. It has superb views of the harbour and the staff and service is outstanding and professional. Be sure to get a seat by the window. You won't regret it. I've been dining there for many years, since it first opened. I love the steaks and rib dishes. The complimentary bread they bring as a starter is a nice touch. I'd really like to try the wagyu steak some day. I've heard that it's amazingly succulent and tasty. I always enjoy eating at Kelly's and there's no doubt that I'll be back there soon.

This place is overpriced and the food is poor. Our chicken was dry and the sticky date was the worst I've ever had - tasteless and spongy. At least the staff were great.

Cold steak , with rudeness.. On a previous visit -- cold steak , on a cold plate ; on next visit , 3/11/11/ warned waitress about cold steak ; recieved rude argument , ie, impossible !! and then again recieved cold steak on a cold plate ; sent the meal back to re heat. On leaving restuarant , I informed head-waiter/manager, more augument and rudeness and no apology. This used to be my favourite eatery ,, what a shame !!!

Amazing steak. I like it blue and the cook it - or don't cook it - to perfection!

Ribs!. Kellys has survived the shopping centre experience and shows what a good restraunter can do in this style of environment. It remains as good today as the day it opened.

The Ribs are soft, tender, melt in the mouth - just what you want when they are piled up on your plate. I don't think there is a cut on the menu that doesnt live up to its reputation. The sides are generous and flavoursome.

Finish it off with a Don Pedro - a Sth African liquor thick-shake.

Steak and boerewors are great but last 3 times we have been there they got the order wrong and we found metal shavings in a burger. Won't be going back.

Excellent service - waitresses knew what portion of salad was right for us even though she could have easily made us order a large one. Steaks were cooked just right for medium rare. The meat tasted very good - top grade. All in all very satisfactory. Highly recommended.

Happy South Africans!. Steakhouse serving Westfield shoppers and movie goers. Captive audience. So do they try? Staff are friendly. Servings are large enough. Challah or brioche style warm loaves to fill one's tum tum ahead of the meal is a nice touch. Atlantic Salmon very nice. Friend's steak meal looked fantastic. Happy South African patrons to boot who return. Safe choice for an evening out. Try Bondi Pizza across the aisle in case this one is full. GregFresser

James Squires Golden Ale and a rack of lamb ribs. Great BBQ joint and perfect pre movie meal. Fast service, helpful staff

Had the Pork Ribs. It was tough, no where near soft or falling off the bone and burnt. The waitress came over and asked me how everything was. I told her it was a bit tough, she ignored me and walked away as if it was a passing comment that did not needed an answer. Second time I have been there and the last.
Johnny
The best steak I've had in a long time. Beautiful food and awesome service. Sure to come back here many times again.
Gavin
Love the ribs. If I want ribs - this is where I go. Pork and lamb - shared - is recommended. It is often booked out during peak dining times - so book ahead or eat early or late. The views can be impressive - overlooking the eastern suburbs through to the harbour - depending on your seat. I prefer the meat here to Hurricane in Bondi.

Fantastic burgers, great location and the kids love it.
