Review Mojo's Tapas Bar - Bondi

Daniel Tan
It’s really nice to have Tapas close to the beach, we came during happy hours and got like 30% off our dishes so that’s a bonus, really good spot to eat and chill!

By far one of the best restaurants in Bondi beach with an inviting casual atmosphere. A creative mix of worldly inspired tapas fusion. All of the dishes exceeded our expectations. Having spent many months in Spain I would call the tapas a refreshing take on many staples and some new twists. The whole octopus were by far one of the most original and flavourful I’ve ever experienced. The staff was very kind and attentive. The owner was beyond gracious and was kind enough to show us the karaoke lounge in the restaurant to my children’s amusement. This was a highlight on our Australian vacation and I would encourage anyone to make the trip if in the Bondi beach area.

It was such a great place to hang out at. I was with my friends on a Sunday evening and there was nothing else to do because the weather was horrible. But we had a great time, best place to have tapas at Bondi and the staff were very friendly. And we also ended up having fun at the karaoke room after, it was such a great night. Would definitely love to come back again.

My girl had one of the best birthdays at this restaurant! The food was amazing and the cocktails were great! The staff were just lovely and always attentive. We even got to do karaoke there and my friend- the birthday girl got complimentary drinks! Definitely worth trying!

Thank you guys for a fabulous evening of delicious food! A great place in Bondi to share Tapas with friends or just one other. We highly recommend it: friendly service, good value, great choices in tapas plates, cocktails and deserts. Haven't been there since COVID lockdowns - great to see it still going strong. We'll definitely be back!

Great choice of cocktails although contains too much ice. Food was great like the squid, some dishes were average like chicken wings.

This is such a fun and fantastic place to go for dinner, drinks or with a group of people for kareoke! It is so well priced especially considering the location and the food is really yum! The best part is definitely how kind, fun and accommodating the staff are!! We love this place! 😊

We came here on a Wednesday night expecting a casual quiet meal, but were surprised to find a full restaurant with great lively atmosphere. The food was delicious, well-priced and the service very personable. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. I would gladly come back again.

Great, friendly service, big servings, amazing quality food, pleasant ambience. This place is well worth the visit. Very generous with the avocado, the chips were very crispy, and the tropical sex cocktails are delicious and good value. There was air conditioning too.

If you’re ever feeling peckish in Bondi, consider stopping by Mojos. Open for brunch, lunch and dinner, every bite is filled with happiness. Our group enjoyed a bit of everything from all the menus. My favourite dishes were the tacos, the entire tapas menu, and those desserts are to die for!. Big thanks to Theresa and her team, and @adriancantcook for organising 😘

The food there were pretty nice and creative. I especially love their soft shell crab benedict, french toast and pancake.<br/><br/>Their hospitality is awesome. The vibe makes me feel comfortable while dining there

Highly recommended!!! Mojos will not disappoint! Beautiful presentation, SUPER delicious food, friendly staff and strategic location (right across Bondi Beach)! Honestly couldn’t ask for a more perfect day. Drop by soon and you’ll know what I mean!

I was blessed with the opportunity to try Mojo's Tapas new spring menu and there's a lot of great dishes that are coming along. The menu maintains it's spanish flavours but also has an asian infusion twist. There was many dishes ordered but my favourites were definitely the Ribs, Eggs Benny (both salmon and soft shell crab), Crispy Pork Belly and the Creme Prawn Carbonara!<br/><br/>Besides the mains, Mojo's also offer a Tapas menu, filled with great snacks to share for the whole table. There's so much variety on the menu, there's something for everyone here at Mojo's! <br/><br/>I have a huge sweet tooth so I can't fault any of the desserts. I must say the French Toast was a highlight for me, the flavours were amazing. The bread was soft yet still crunchy on the outside and it wasn't too sweet. The Fairy Flossom tree is an amazing dessert to take photos off. All dishes were beautifully presented and I will definitely be back not only for the food but the amazing service from Theresa and her team.<br/> <br/><br/>13/1: I came back over the weekend and once again I must commend the flavours of the soft shell crab burger, delicious! The coffee was slight downfall for me as I felt it tasted too watery and not enough coffee flavour. My mocha tasted a little burnt.

two things – the world famous Bondi Beach and Mojo’s Tapas Bar.  Both of them are enough reason to warrant a. trip to Bondi on a glorious sunny day. . Mojo’s has been in the business for over 15 years serving. authentic Spanish tapas. It is a hard decision between patatas bravas,

[4.5/5] I was invited by a fellow food blogger @adriancantcook + @mojotapasbar along with a few others so I was able to try everything on the brunch and tapas menu. Thank you so so much!!Can confirm that all the dishes looked stunning and most were delicious; it looked as good as it tasted.<br/><br/>The highlights for me were:<br/>•The ‘Eggs Benedict’ with slow cooked pork - egg and slow cooked pork on point as it was soft and tender <br/>•The ‘French Toast’ with meringue shards - delicious and stunning french toast <br/>•The ‘Tempura Prawn’ tacos - never had tempura prawns on a taco before, prawns were crunchy and went well with the hard shell taco <br/>•Garlic prawns - full of garlicky prawn flavour <br/>•Stuffed mushrooms with cheese - a different take on a non-meat tapas dish <br/>•Chocolate empanadas - a must have after your tapas meal as the warm chocolate was oozing out <br/><br/>Non-highlights for me were:<br/>•Soft shell crab burger - the part I had tasted a bit fishy but another food blogger had it as well and said she loved it so maybe it was just the part I ate?<br/>•Shakshuka - I felt it was a bit lack luster as it didn’t taste as hearty as other shakshukas I’ve had before and the flowers on top sort of detracted the dish

Mojos Tapas Bar located on Campbell Pde across the iconic Bondi beach is the perfect spot to indulge in a range of Spanish tapas, breakfast or lunch along with a pitcher of sangria or two. <br/><br/>Food here not only looks vibrant and aesthetically pleasing, it tastes absolutely devine. I was transported to Spain with the classic, rich flavours on offer, from corn, tomato to soft baja fish tacos 🌮🤤👌🏽<br/>.<br/>So what’s in the table?!<br/>🥥Tropicana chia bowl<br/>🍳Shakshuka<br/>🌽Zucchini & corn fritters<br/>🌮Tempura prawn tacos<br/>🌮 Tofu tacos<br/>🍔Soft shell crab charcoal burger<br/>🥑Smashed avacado on multigrain<br/>🥗Mojo’s bowl with smoked salmon<br/>🍞Mushroom bruschetta <br/>New menu items:<br/>🦀Tempura soft shell crab soba noodles<br/>🐟Grilled salmon and corn sauce<br/>🥓Crispy pork belly with corn<br/>🍜Grilled salmon soba noodles

I’m going to be completely honest: OMG! I am so in love with this place. Special thank you to the incredible team at Mojos Bondi for their hospitality and gorgeous array of delicious dishes. The owner Theresa oozes generosity and passion and it shows. Thank you to the amazing @adriancantcook for the invite and @kerabeareats for the guidance and company. <br/>They offer the best tapas BUT they also do killer brunch and dessert (posts to come). <br/>I love the skill, craftsmanship and fusion on offer. Fresh, delicious combinations that leaves you salivating for more. see me @foodbyzeebee on Instagram<br/>

Excellent food, location, staff...everything just on point! Loved to try their new brunch menu: loved the tacos, mojos bowls, crab burguer and salmon with polenta! You have to try to french Toast and waffle 🤤🤤

Mojo’s Tapas Bar in Bondi Beach just launched their brunch menu, hey brunch by the beach? Why not?<br/><br/>I tried most of all the brunch menu from the savoury to sweet dishes, the highlight was their crunchy french toast which was really amazing 😭😭😭 like it every single bits and for the savoury one my favourite was the mushrooms Bruschetta with polenta and I think I tasted the truffle oil too 🤩<br/><br/>Don’t forget to try their tapas food too, you gonna love their chilli prawns, couscous balls, meatballs and nachos and many more

Mojos - what a nice surprise! A couple of friends and I decided to try something different and have the quiet and unassuming Mojos a try a couple weeks ago. Wow! I was not expecting such a fresh and amazing spread of brunch foods - French toast (which was incredible btw - highly recommend), avo toast, hotcakes, they literally have so many options it’s crazy! Would defs return for a satisfying, well presented and portioned feed with the nicest staff ever and beach views. Love.

Olé olé, olé olé! Spanish tapas is taking over the shores of Bondi with Mojo’s Tapas Bar serving a smorgasbord of tapas plates and brunch options.<br/><br/>Really enjoyed the food here and the staff are super friendly too. My recommendations would be the Shakshuka, Taco Tacos Man and Soft Shell Crab Burger.<br/><br/>If you'd like to read more of my reviews, please check out my zomato page and visit @cynthiaeats_ on Instagram for more photos!<br/><br/>My thanks to Mojo’s Tapas Bar for the invite.

Tapas with a view - Mojo’s Tapas Bar<br/><br/>Never noticed this wonderful restaurant until I had brunch with my friends there last month. What have I been doing this whole time?<br/><br/>Mojo’s is a Spanish resto with a new brunch menu recently launched so we had to try out both brunch items and tapas.<br/><br/>Soft shell crab burger - tempura soft shell crab, slaw, chilli mayo, apple and lime in a charcoal bun<br/>Can’t resist anything with soft shell crab and this one didn’t disappoint. Crispy soft shell crab, tangy apple and slaw as well as the slightly spicy mayo made a perfect burger that left me wanting more.<br/><br/>French toast - berry coulis, cheese stuffed, seasonal fruits, vanilla ice cream, oreo crumbs, banana and meringue shards<br/>We all went OMG when the french toast was served as it was just spectacular and it was as yummy as it looked. Crunchy french toast with cheese filling, ice cream and berries was heavenly. Make sure you share with your friends cos the portion is HUGE.<br/><br/>Mojo’s bowls - quinoa rice, roasted sesame dressing, smoked salmon, seaweed salad, avocado, edamame, pickled ginger, pomegranate and cucumber<br/>Poke bowl is still very popular these days and it’s a good choice to make us feel less guilty with all the healthy ingredients. Loved how fresh every item was and the refreshing flavours definitely balanced out other evil items of the meal. <br/><br/>Chorizo with lemon is not the most photogenic item but it was really flavourful and not too salty! <br/><br/>Garlic prawns is my must-order for tapas. The prawns were bouncy, fresh and nicely coated with garlic sauce. <br/><br/>It’s a very satisfying meal and this place is highly recommended!

The new brunch menu has launched recently at Mojos and I absolutely love it. I’ve been maybe 4-5 times in the last month alone for brunch and tapas and consistently enjoy it. Though I have been visiting for years for tapas.<br/>Being Spanish, I love the flavours in the tapas dishes, they honestly remind me of the way my grandmother and mother make Spanish food. I also brought my mother who loved it too! She especially loved the white bait, saying it was the exact same way Nona made it, which is nice. My recommendations for tapas would be garlic prawns, haloumi, white bait, creamy potatoes and the meatballs. ❤️<br/>The brunch menu is amazing, great tastes but also look amazing too. <br/>My picks would definately be the French Toast and also the Eggs Benedict - potato rosti, pulled pork and poached eggs 😍<br/>I highly recommend Mojos, good, honest, generous food. <br/>

A new brunch menu has landed at Mojo's Tapas Bar, conveniently located opposite Bondi Beach. This is the perfect place for a bite for breakfast before a swim or surf or a lazy brunch catch up with friends with views of Sydney's most iconic beach. The menu features classic brunch favourites and a great selection of healthy dishes which is perfect for the health conscious crowd (being located on Bondi Beach of course. <br/><br/>I was recently treated to the new brunch menu, here is my review: <br/>Tropicana chia bowl with coconut cream chia pudding and house made granola - Loved this dish, the coconut chia was extremely creamy.<br/>Shashuka with baked beans, egg and organic sourdough - great classic baked eggs.<br/>Eggs benedict with slow cooked pulled pork on a crispy potato rosti - this dish was a standout and one of my faves, the flavours worked so well tog. Definitely a worthwhile twist on a classic eggs benny to try!<br/>Zucchini and corn fritters with smoked salmon - I enjoyed the addition of the baby dutch carrots in this dish. <br/>Tempura prawn tacos - crispy prawns, I personally prefer soft shell tacos but this was still tasty (albeit a bit difficult to eat_.<br/>Smashed avo with Persian feta - a good classic dish.<br/>Soft shell crab burger in a charcoal bun - one of my faves (and also owner Theresa's) - the crab was crispy, and the bun was extremely soft. Loved the homemade mayo on the side. <br/>Mojo's bowl with quinoa rice, seaweed salad, edamame and salmon - one of my fave dishes, I loved all the combined flavours, and the fact it's such a healthy dish. <br/>French toast with cheese stuffing, oreo crumbs and meringue shards - one for all the sweet tooth's out there! Warning, it's a massive serving size, I would suggest that you share!<br/>Hot cake with fruit, chocolate ganache, cream cheese mascarpone and meringue shards - these hot cakes were extremely fluffy, a great menu item. <br/>Scrambled eggs on toast - classic breakfast dish. <br/>Mushroom bruschetta on potato chips with roasted brocolini - a decent standard dish.<br/><br/>Mojos also runs its regular Spanish tapas menu, I was also treated to a selection of classic tapas dishes (it was a day of feasting on this particular occasion!).<br/><br/>My faves of the tapas selection were:<br/>Prawns in chilli tomato - loved the flavour<br/>Prawns in garlic and white wine - great dish!<br/>Baked potatoes, garlic cream and parmesan - this dish was extremely addictive and moreish, couldn't get enough of it! <br/>Roasted capsicum <br/>Fried halloumi cheese - who can't say no to fried cheese!<br/>Ceviche - extremely fresh, loved the zingy flavours. <br/><br/>A big thank you to the hospitality of Theresa and her team from Mojo's! I'll definitely be back again and share the food love with my family and friends. <br/><br/>Note: I dined as a guest of the venue. All views and opinions expressed above are my own.

Mojos Tapas just released their new menu with delicious tapas. Finally I found in Australia a typical Mediterranean type of calamari with its legs. Cocktails & Sangria + latino music makes you happy and you may start dancing. I will definitely come back.

I dined here on a Saturday as part of an organised foodie event (thanks @adriancantcook for organising). We tried a selection of dishes from the upcoming new brunch menu (due to start from the 25th May) as well as some tapas dishes.  Some of the standout dishes for me from the brunch menu were <br/>- french toast ($19) - decadent and generous, the french toast had all you would want from a french toast. <br/>- prawn tacos ($18) - tacos were light and tasty. <br/>- eggs benedict ($21) -  my favourite brunch dish on the menu, perfect poached eggs, pulled pork and potato rosti. Yum!<br/><br/>From the tapas menu, my favourite dishes were<br/>- gambas picantes ($14) - perfectly cooked prawns in a chilli tomato sauce.  <br/>- patatas crema ($10) - definitely a guilty pleasure food. If you love garlic, you will love these potatoes.<br/><br/>We also tried a series of cocktails and drinks off the menu.  It was quite pleasant drinking sangria at 11am so would do it again. <br/><br/>Overall, I had a great time at Mojos. Great location down at Bondi Beach with a picturesque view.

Great place we stumbled upon after our Bondi - bronte walk! Just in time for happy hour, mind you great drinks :) good food - I ordered the octopus & calamari and was very pleased with the food! Great value for money :) the best for last, the staff are so friendly and attentive :))

We love tapas - it’s a great way to share a variety of tasty dishes. It also reminds us of Spain - a counter visit regularly for a variety of reasons - a key one being their food! Mojo’s is across the road from Bondi Beach in a prime location. We managed to snare the best spot there too, the front table just inside the front window.

Very nice place to have a good meal with friends. Super friendly staff and the environment is very pumping. My favorite plates are zuchinni flower, halloumi cheese and the baked eggplant. Ofcourse you cannot miss the chocolate empanada 100% recomended. If you want as well you can go for karaoke for free while drinking sangria. Just a very cool place to go :)

Very delicious food and wonderful staff. Would recommend the stuffed mushrooms, garlic prawns and any of the cocktails or sangria! Definitely will come again!

My favourite tapas place. Great food, wonderful vibe and super friendly staff. What else do you want! We had a fantastic dinner time. Definitely will come back!

This Girls Gotta Eat
Food poisoning.<br/><br/>It's not really a place to go have dinner and a chat. They are more a restaurant then bar, however they seem to be striving for more of a bar vibe. The music is so loud you can't even chat over dinner. We ordered a whole bunch of dishes, I was a little confused what cuisine it was. Then spent half the night sick.<br/><br/>Staff were all lovely but all in all I wouldn't suggest to go here.

Outstanding service, felt well looked after, staff were very attentive and the food was amazing. Would definitely recommend scallops on the specials menu!

Disappointing experience. Food was ok but not worth returning for. Service was less than stellar. Better options available, even for Bondi. First and last time visiting.

Mojo's Tapas Bar is a fun and enjoyable bar which serves a non-exhaustive range of tapas and cocktails. The bar overlooks the Bondi Beach and you can hear the screams and yells from surfers and beachgoers from the cushioned sofas in the bar. <br/><br/>I tried the grilled chicken sewers, creamy mushrooms and chilli prawns at the bar last week. Food was pretty average and not exceptional (You can prepare them at home). However, I commend the bar for using fresh ingredients (prawns, mushrooms, etc) rather than using bleached and packaged ones.

Super nice service. Great tapas, with a huge choice. Would recommend the mixed platter if you are two people. Great Value for Bondi and the owner is a top bloke.

When it comes to value for money - Mojo's is great! It has a nice vibe and friendly staff. The food is good too! Perfect for a casual dinner in Bondi.

We dinned here last night and found it to be excellent. We had baby squid, potatoes(creama) salad with rocket and tomatoes(although it had sliced tomatoes in it not diced) garlic prawns, chicken wings and white bait. It was all cooked to perfection. Service was awesome, music was a tad bit loud.- but it is a Friday night. I think this is a little gem in Bondi, it is not fine dining just good yummy food.

I used to be a big fan of Mojos 4 or 5 years ago, visited the place recently after a 4 years and was quite dissapointed with the quality of the food and service. The table next to us found cockroaches on their table and left the restaurant, it was a warm night and we all know cockroaches all exists in sydney and come out when its a bit warm and humid but still finding it on your table while you are out dining is not a pleasant thing for anyone.

Highly recommend for dinner if you're near or in Bondi! Awesome location. The food was awesome, a must have when you go are the tuna croquettes and garlic potatoes. Both are so rich and creamy! Service was great and the music in there set amazing vibes x

Excellent night. Food and staff were great! Beautiful location, and they were very generous in wishing my daughter a happy birthday. We are a long way from home but the owners made us feel very welcome. Was recommended by a friend, and we'll certainly recommend it to others. Thanks again!

A must do in Bondi! Cheap, delicious, spanish tapas with views of the Beach. They offer happy hour everyday from 4pm - 6pm on tapas, cocktails, beers and wine.. as if the menu couldn't be cheap enough? Best for groups, but also nice for a cosy dinner for two. I've been here millions of times and will return a million more.

Found this quaint little place at Bondi beach . We were there during the happy hour 💃 Delicious cocktails for $8!!!! We had the strawberry Caprinha and the Mojito .. Both were well made . For tapas we tried the Garlic meatballs , juicy tender and delicious ! Also had the Chorizzo sausages which were Delish ! Also on our table we had the Filipino style chicken wings ... Which I didn't enjoy all that much , but my partner loved them ❤️<br/>The view on the ocean is amazing as well ! <br/>And I think on Sunday they have an offer of all day $8 cocktails ! WooHoo!! <br/>I think I'll return here on my next visit to Bondi ❤️
Nick
Actually disappointed with Mojo Tapas.. Enough to not come back again. The food was average and overpriced, the music was too loud. I Ordered corn chips with Guac for $9. It was $4 dish at best. They had one Spanish beer that wasn't the best. Half of the others on the menu they don't have. I have been here twice before years ago and both times really enjoying the vibe and the menu. So I'm only judging off previous dinner's. Not sure if management has changed or what the deal is but won't be coming back again and by the look of the empty seats around on a Saturday night.. Neither are the others. May aswell change their name to tapas bar because they definetly lost their Mojo !!

Well the night was perfect with the family had some great food ripped out some great tunes and was well and truly spoiled by Theresa and the team. Great night, Great food, great service we have promised Theresa we will be back and we live in WA!!

Highly recommend for dinner if you're in Bondi and/or Sydney. Perfect location, friendly staff, good service, yummy food and sangria. My phone was on low battery and they offered me a power block so I could charge my phone at the table. If I'm ever in Sydney again, I will definitely be going back.

What a mixed bag. We went to Mojo's at 7pm on a Sunday. We were waiting at the front for about 3 minutes before someone attended to us. The waitress' English was not fantastic thus her manner was quite abrupt. The music was incredibly intrusive; it was more suited to a city club at a weekend than a casual beachside tapas bar. In addition, their sound system had serious faults, including loud static transitioning between songs. <br/><br/>However, the food itself was fantastic. My boyfriend and I had four tapas plates. The quality was fantastic and the waitress' recommendation as to quantity for the two of us was spot on. However, we ordered a salad to accompany our plates; this didn't arrive until we were taking our last bites of our meals. Poor planning. <br/><br/>This restaurant has such a great position and menu but it doesn't come together unfortunately. The ambience is incongruous and needs to be improved upon, in addition to the service and general friendliness of the staff.

Pleasant dinner, staff were really nice and table service quite prompt. They offered us bread on the house at the start which was really good, warm and fresh. Out of 3 tapas we ordered between the 2 of us the crispy ricotta with tomato salsa (can't remember the actual names so describing the food) was our favorite. Then came the polenta balls with aioli our least favorite of the night was the burrito it was bland and boring. <br/>We had the cucumber martini which was actually quite refreshing overall decent menu would have loved to try the calamari, hopefully next time.

Amazing service, absolutely loved the food and would 100% recommend this place! Stayed in Bondi with some friends and went here twice! Best food, the owners were so friendly, other staff were very attentive. Amazing cocktails too!

Had a good meal for 4 here.  The food was solid, but we weren't blown away by anything in particular.  I think it's a great spot for a casual dinner if you're from Bondi and aren't trying to go to far.
Manon Dallee
Very clearly this place is Spanish, albeit a seemingly strange gothic/pirate/skater interpretation of a Spanish restaurant.
Miss Kris
Awesome place at the top of Bondi with happy hour on weekends from 4pm to 6pm. Couldn't ask for more!

Another great meal at Mojos. The staff are great and the food is tasty and authentic. Highly recommended.

Have been a few times over the years! LOVE the tapas! Tasty yum yum and great cocktails! ✌️ I haven't had a dish I don't really like..... Quality. A bit noisy for me at times but I soldier on due to enjoying the food so much!

Do you want cheap tapas with amazing service and an ecstatic atmosphere?. The service from the wait staff were so attentive and amazing. They continuously checked up on us and wondered if we were happy with the food and everything else. I love the team, they all communicated so well with each other and did everything they could to help other customers in such a fluid and efficient way. the happy hour pricing for the cocktails and tapas is definitely bang for your buck! even at normal pricing, the quality does not differ. What i really enjoyed most was the music playlist, mixing a ton of classic 80s music that can both hype us up and also relax us. There are many spanish music to listen to, some absolutely energetic and rub off a positive vibe. Ive seen people just dancing to it and the staff just smiling and laughing with them! Definitely recommend and absolutely coming back.

Fantastic night out. Went to Mojos last Saturday and to put it simply, it wont be the last time. With great staff service and excellent food/drinks, me and and my friends will be spending more time at this amazing restaurant.

Amazing food. I have been to Mojos a few times now and will always keep coming back. Every visit the food, drinks and service has always been amazing.<br/>My parents were recently over from the UK and they love there tapas food., We brought them here and they was very happy with the quality of the food and extensive menu choice. The cost of food is always reasonable also.

...if you’re after authentic Spanish tapas, you needn’t go further afield than Mojos at Bondi. Make sure you book though, as this place is always abuzz with noisy banter from happy beachgoers, even in winter when the backpackers have buggered off. This is

They come out as 4 large sized meatballs and I was pleasantly glad they didn’t turn out dry, rather, they were soft and no sides were over or under cooked. The distinctive sauce could be described as rich tomato flavo

Mojos Tapas Bar is now one of my favourite places to eat and drink, so much so I was reluctant to write this post to better my chances of getting a good seat at the next happy hour. Perched on the south side of Bondi’s beach on Campbell parade, Mojo’s Tapas Bar is the perfect place to sit in the sun and people watch on the weekend while drinking and eating your night away.

Monsieur and I are heading to Bondi for the Sculptures by the sea exhibition. Before the walk, we fill up on Spanish food. Mojo’s Cafe and tapas bar serves hearty and genuine tapas. We ask the waitress how much we shall order and she’s kind not to push for over consumption, advising most patrons would go for 4 to 5 plates for 2. We trim down to 4 tapas and this is actually more than sufficient! The fall-off-the bone meat of the chicken wings is to die for!

The interior design reeks of old school Spanish style; rustic furniture, crosses and skulls.

Thought I'd do something different and start with a video! Have I mentioned I LOVE my new Nikon D90? Mojo is that good friend who lets you in their house on a cold night when you car refuses to start. Warm, cosy, good company, good food. Brad and I have d

Worst food to come out of any kitchen. Don't. Go.. We dined at Mojo Bondi Beach yesterday evening and were looking forward to tapas in our neighbourhood. My goodness, we wont be doing that again. The staff were superb, friendly, efficient and lovely. However the food - was just TERRIBLE. The cheese fritter was done well, but lacked any flavour, the sides of guacamole and salsa were void of any flavour, and no amount of salt would fix it. The serving sizes for this was close to 1.5 kitchen tablespoons. The chicken skewer - well it was slap dash, overcooked, no flavour. The meat balls had more on the palate than the rest - but was dry and overcooked, the prawns, were of the frozen variety and had zero flavour, no mount of salt dowsing or their special chilli sauce dousing eased the bland, tasteless dish. The plain rice was fantastic. The jerk chicken was a varied take on honey soy drumlets, don't quite know what part of that of Caribbean - perhaps only by way of intention. The sirloin was cooked to perfection - however it was vacuous - it was a piece of meat that was void of any flavour - it actually tasted like licking a piece of paper, a juicy, superbly cooked piece of paper. The sangria was not a sangria, think Ribena, with a dash of cask wine and some fruit for notation - that too a bad side note. Its almost like they defrosted frozen food, sous vided it, then popped in on the stove or the microwave<br/><br/>Add to this - the dire deco in their back room, with flashy led lights, balloons, and cheap crepe paper (apparently for valentines day) - et voila.. that was our evening. We could not wait to get out of there. And wont be returning. Its a shame ,as they do have a great team and a decent location. None of it was Spanish - bar some of the lovely wait staff. We would have been better off with frozen meals from the off cuts of Aldi, sitting in a bad re-enactment of a terrible 2nd cousins wedding (cheesy music included), with fake booze. Please take the word Pintxos off the menu, for I am certain that the folk in the Basque country would be ready to launch the 2nd Spanish Armada in sheer disappointment on the gross misrepresentation of their hallowed dining region.

I was totally underwhelmed by this dining experience. The chichen wings were bland, the beef ribs were inedible - there was no meat, just fat and sauce, the burrito was uninteresting and the patatas bravas were very plain. The restaurant looked great and the staff were attentive but the food was below average. Shame.

Average drinks, bad food, odd service.... Decided to stop in after seeing an 85% rating on urbanspoon. Not sure how its scored this high....<br/><br/>Drinks: arrived during happy hour, had a mojito which was fine. Then a jefe, (rum Kahlua and bitters) a risky choice I'll admit, which turned out to be....well, just odd. Not terrible, but not something I'll be trying again.<br/><br/>Food: had chicken wings, albondigas meatballs and patatas. The wings were clearly very low quality, and the way they'd been cooked left the fat gelatinous. Meatballs were solid and flavourless, with the sauce adding just a bit of tomato flavour and nothing more. Patatas were more like wedges smothered in thick (and tangy) tomato sauce. But the added herbs were burned and the potato's themselves were half well done / half under cooked. (Should point out I ate anyway as I was extremely hangry)<br/><br/>Service: Hard to explain, service was attentive and quick, but they kept clearing plates off my table as soon as I was done with them, rather than letting me finish my meal. That combined with the speed of taking my order almost felt like I was being rushed back out the door.<br/><br/>In summary, do not eat here. By all means stop off for a couple of drinks during happy hour as the place is lively and well presented. Come on Mojo's, you had some really good reviews on here in the past, but as one other reviewer pointed out, perhaps a change in management is taking this place in a different (worse) direction.

Happy hour makes me happy. Absolutely recommend for happy hour (Sat and Sun 4-6pm). The meatballs are just divine and the cocktails are $8 during happy hour. You can't go wrong! Squid also lovely.

Disappointment. Having been to Mojos often over the past 4 years, we decided to revisit this joint expecting the same quality of food and service. Some dishes were decent whilst other staples such as empanadas had cheap and nasty fillings. The steak dish was chewy and lacked flavour as did the zucchini flowers. Service was all over the place. Have a feeling ownership has changed and unfortunately we will never be back.

Smashed it. Absolutely spot on, service was extremely attentive, they smashed it. Food was delicious, cocktails where delicious, atmosphere was awesome, music was hip and fun until the end of the night, but after a few cocktails it didn't matter and it was all reasonably priced. We ordered 7 tapas and 6 cocktails between two people which came to 80 a head... being in Bondi and a tourist mecca. We didn't leave hungry or sober that's forsure. Recommended you go.

Love food!! Love staff ! Loved cocktails !! Love love love!!! Will be returning on my next visit to Bondi!! Also met owner, very fair & welcoming!! Although I did find some patrons manner less & passing by drinkers annoying but owner handled well :)

Save Mojo's. Mojo's is my fave Sydney tapas bar mostly because of the happy hour(s) - the cocktails are really well made, my favourite cocktails are : margarita, kiwi caiprioska and salma. My favourite dishes are: albondiga's, pulpo, salt n pepper squid, patatas crema/bravas, even the plain manchego with fruity olive oil is wonderful. Staff are always nice and the music is always good. I am not sure if Mojo's will have the same atmosphere and quality of cocktails without the Patrizio the barman!

Ate there after being recommended by a friend who had raved about the food at this tapas bar. Left the place perplexed and disappointed. While I understand that with great location comes great cost, the odour of penny-pinching emanated from the kitchen and eventually overpowered my appetite. <br/><br/>The size of servings were minuscule - even for a tapas bar in Bondi. Food itself were vastly overpriced and tasted of mediocrity. Chicken skewers, for example, were $12 for two cold, tiny sticks. Stuffed mushrooms were of inconsistent size (how do we decide who gets the tiny one?) and filled with virtually unseasoned pork mince. While the bread, albeit hot and fresh, were charged separately. The octopus, perhaps to balance out the hot bread, had chunks of ice still attached and had the texture of old rubber tires. <br/><br/>The experience was redeemed somewhat by attentive and courteous staff who exemplified everything positive about Aussie customer service and a dish of baked ricotta, which, while tasty, were too small in portion (yes, for a tapas bar) to satisfy anyone. <br/><br/>An overall disappointing experience with the flow-on effects of: 1. Never visiting again and 2. Never trusting my friend in question with food recommendations again.

Mojos Bondi Beach. Great views; always packed; a bunch of us went last sat. night and food was awesome; the onion rings, beef ribs and garlic prawns were really special, washed down with sangria; was not expensive we spent about 29 per head and that's got to be value. My girlfriend was impressed.

Tasty Tapas. Visited Mojo's with another couple on a busy Saturday night. Very tasty tapas. The portions are relatively small so make sure you order enough dishes. <br/>The chorizo and bravas were the highlights. <br/><br/>Lovely bottle of Rioja, reasonably priced. Friendly waitresses. The front of of the restaurant is more lively and a has a better atmosphere. <br/>The back is a little dark and cold but I'd definitely go again.

Great Tapas. I insisted on taking my girlfriend here after a walk from Coogee. I told her we won't be disappointed and we weren't. I highly recommend it. The staff are very caring and the vibe is great. It also helps when they play an old Santana record I used to own in the 90s.

:)). Mojo's Cafe and Tapas Bar was an exotic restaurant. The atmosphere was calm, relaxing and definitely welcoming. The workers were all lovely, and made the restaurant comfortable to be in. Along with that, the food was exquisite, came out relatively quickly and definitely different from anything I've ever tried. I would certainly recommend this place, and I can't wait to return.

Totes Amazeballs. I love Mojos! I always come here on Saturday afternoons between 4 and 6 for Happy Hour HALF PRICE delicious tapas and amazing, strong cocktails!<br/>You get sooo much food and get so drunk, and then you get the bill and you're like, 'is that all?'<br/>The Tapas are all about $7 each and all huge cocktails are $9 each during the 4-6 happy hour. <br/>Its fun to come with a bunch of people.. there are heaps of good looking waiters to perve on and the vibe is really fresh and fun!<br/>100% recommend this place on the weekend.<br/>My fave tapas dishes include the tuna croquettes, the chorizo, the chicken sticks and the fried haloumi.....<br/><br/>Will continue to return :)

A lively vibe!. Mojo's Tapas dishes are quite up there! Their food ranging from the Tuna Croquette to the Sirloin and with desserts such as the Empanada are simply well presented, holding true to the look of tapas! With the dishes stunning appearance comes along with such a delectable taste! Servings of selected dishes come along with a warm and welcoming smile from the waiters! Altogether, Mojo's is must for those who are keen for a great meal and an enjoyable night with those around them.

A place to have fun and be urself. The staff so friendly and service was great, the food everything was too perfect and the best sangria ever had. I would recommend to you all and taste the true tapas food with a care free atmosphere.

Great meatballs.. I've been to this place several times on my visits back to Sydney. The food is always delicious and never over complicated. Simple clean flavours with a good variety of dishes. The meatballs are a favourite - perfectly juicy with perfect seasoning. Waiting staff very friendly.

Always fabulous and a special moment. We live in rural NSW and have had a number of short breaks in Bondi. We have always LOVED food and service at Mojo's. Best experience was when my husband proposed..we knew we would be late for our booking, rang and explained and arrived to a great table, champagne and a round of applause from the diners. Never forget it. Love the garlic mushies, whitebait fritters, potatoes and sangria. Is our measure stick whenever we have Tapas...not may places meet the standard set here.

THE WORST. Just ate at this restaurant, had the worst meal experience i've EVER had in my life. every dish was not fresh quality and when we nicely explained to the the waitress about the dishes being inedible we were treated with a rude attitude. NEVER going back and i strongly recommend you do not go either. you have been warned.

Worse Dining Experience Ever!. We arrived at 7.30pm(on time). Order not taken till 9pm, despite asking 2 servers twice each.Meals arrive at 10pm - no excuse for a Tuesday night. No second drinks ordered offered and when we wanted one, told to go down to the bar and ask there! Huh...obviously not interested in making money over the largest profit margin product - Have a dedicated drinks waiter fools! Told at 10.30 if we wanted desserts/coffees anything else we had 5 minutes to order it as the kitchen was closing(as if they could manage anything like an order, let alone a another dish in that time frame) - We just wanted the bill, but that took till 11pm - a ninety minute event took 4 hours, we had barely anything resembling a real meal ( ate at McD's on the way home).Worse service we have ever had, one waitress to about 30 patrons, writes the order down then goes and spends 10 minutes doing data entry at a PC ( 10 feet from the kitchen), here's a idea buy a remote order terminal!...potential to do so much better..never eating there again.

This is probably my favourite tapas restaurant, we had the happy hour menu and ordered about 20 delicious mains between 2. The service was wonderful and we sat outside and just watched the beautiful view. I will be coming back for sure!

Great happy hour value. Fantastic time had here. We happened to come early and indulged in many cheap happy hour cocktails followed by some tapas. The front tables have nice glimpses of beautiful Bondi Beach. I was impressed by the size of the tapas plates and quality of cocktails, no happy hour price skimping at all. I could not fault the service or the food and drinks. If I lived here in Bondi this would be one of my favourite haunts. Later in the evening the place became really busy so my advice is to come early.

Not Managing @ All!. We visited the cafe as a group recently. The food was suffice but nothing to write home about. We ordered around 12 dishes between the 4 of us.<br/>One of the dished we ordered was the chilli prawns but what came out before them was the Garlic Prawns. As they were put down in front of us we alerted the waitress that we ordered chilli prawns and not garlic. She placed the prawns on the table and said "I will go and see what we can do, they will be free" as as you do we ate them.<br/>When we asked for the bill - lo and behold the garlic prawns were on the bill. I called over Alice (lovely girl) and told her the mix up. She went over to our original waitress and told her of the problem. She then came over to the table and said "I never said they were for free - if you ate them then you have to pay for them". Astounded at her turn around we asked to speak to the manager. Phillipe came over and in front of a full restaurant of people proceeded to say that we were lying about the waitress saying we could have the dish for free, and generally showing he was not manager material.<br/>In the end in order to stop his act we said that is he felt that strongly that we did not oder but ate the prawns, we would pay for them.<br/>Coming from the service industry, a small plate of prawns given away vs having an argument in front of not just the table but the restaurant, and alot of bad word behind it, I want to ask Phillipe and the restaurant owner (Patrice) whether it was all worth it?

4 out of 5. Great food, good location, good vibe. Price of tapas adds up after a while, can get on the expensive side

Mojo's missing!. I have on numerous occasion brought friends to mojo's but will never again! On the last occasion not only did the waitress not take our order fully but then proceeded to only give half of what she had taken to the kitchen. after waiting 50mins for our tapas and watching numerous tables around us come and go we were still tapas-less, our food apparently going to the wrong table. The wait staff then accused us of eating the food and then claiming that we hadn't recieved it when clearly we hadn't eaten. We were assured that we would recieve a dish free of charge as an apology. Alas at the end of the very long night we recieved the full bill and the explaination that, "we're not Macdonadls!".... Clearly!

Great atmosphere and nice food for a reasonable budget.

Great Food and Service. This Tapa's bar is a favorite. It's busy most often, but the service and the food is great. The cost for two people on average is around $90 with drinks. The quality of the food is an excellent standard, and quite authentic.
