A lovely place for a quick bite, the staff are lovely and quick.
The food was delicious, I would definitely come back for more on my next trip to Sydney
I first tried Sushi Train in Newtown, and this time in Bondi Junction. I love their sushi even though it is more expensive compared to other places. You can really tell the difference in the food quality, especially the grilled scallops.. they just melt in my mouth... the only thing with sushi train is I have to constantly watch out for the price while eating..
I haven’t been to this sushi train in so many years and even though I now live close by, we finally decided to check this place out after it got a refurb a month or so ago.
Usually we see a line out the door but as we were having a very early dinner, it wasn’t that busy and we were in and out in 30mins!
Their scallops and soft shell hand rolls were bad as well their eel or tamago based sushi but my husband wanted to try their wagyu grade 9 sushi but this was so tough and disappointing for the price. Negatives are the hot dishes being cold like their karrage chicken or soft shell crab. My son enjoyed his plain udon and their stools with the backing is a safer seating for toddlers.
Staff were friendly and maybe we will come back again and stick to the dishes we know.
Sushi Train is our favourite sushi place and we always visit when we’re near one (as it’s not in Melbourne). Enjoyable experience at this one particularly as the staff were extra friendly and happy to be there. Really good sushi, lots of variety and fast service. Fresh and tasty. Pricey if you want enough to be really full, but good value for a light lunch.
Fresh and tasty sushi. Friendly & fast service. One time I ordered a plate of a sushi and it was ready in 15 minutes. Expect queues during lunch / dinner peak hours.
Such good sushi!! But it's always very busy and crowded so be aware it's bustling and quite loud. There's a conveyer belt, or you can order what you'd like. Friendly and quick service.
Not the best sushi i've tried but i really like the "train system", the sushis are rotating all the time so you can choose whatever you want just by looking at them. The attention was very fast and really nice!
Very friendly and helpful staff, I do like the ambience. It was homely and also kids friendly.
I had grilled salmon, scallop, tuna, engawa, king fish and tempura.
All taste good and I'd love to come back.
It's located near westfield in Bondi Junction.
My favourite sushi train, always busy and some time you have to line up a bit - but proves its popular and always fresh ;) They are so friendly when you come in, always welcoming you. Service is quick, getting your drink and any orders quickly. The sushi on the train is always fresh and warm (gyozas). I always get sashimi and a prawn roll which are consistently good. You can order as well, any of your preferences or edamame or tofu or udon meals. Always a good experience. when you leave they are so enthusiastically saying "thank you so so much". Easily found near Westfield. They do points for discounts etc as well.
Love this sushi train. The food is always fresh and you never wait more than a few minutes. I love their aburi salmon and sashimi. The atmosphere is always friendly.
This place is definitely worth the wait. Yes they can me busy but what does that tell you? That their sushi is fresh, funky and great tasting. Expect to pay about $20-$25 per head but its worth it. Can't see something you want on the train? They'll make it for you. Try the scallop nigiri or chicken crunchy roll. The staff are super friendly and will always greet you in Japanese.
Very nice and fresh. All the classics and some new plates.
Super friendly, enthusiastic, attentive staff. Not the most inspiring location but that's hardly the point, and it is convenient. I'll keep returning.
My #1 favourite sushi train in Sydney and I go to a lot.Great service, fantastic food and I don't have to wait long to get inside or to receive the sushi I have ordered.
Great value for money. I had sushi and sashimi only a few nights prior at another sushi train so instead, ordered the chicken udon noodles. At only $10, I wasn't expecting anything big but was pleasantly surprised with portion size, flavour and price. Probably one of the best udon noodles I've had. Service was fast and friendly. Would come again!
Best sushi train I've tried in Sydney really fresh and tasty highly recommend this place very friendly staff good service great sushi.
The grilled scallop is a must to get here! They have really good and fresh sushi and somehow their menu is different than any other Sushi Train's (in a good way by the way!). Just 1 thing though, sushi is expensive everywhere in australia.. so I can only go there once a month :(
Good for a quickie. This place is good if ur after a quickie and don't wanna wait. The sushi is usually reasonably fresh but u can ensure this by keeping an eye on when the staff puts out the fresh plates... Avoid the ones that have been going around for more than a few rounds! Much better than the sushi place across the road... Avoid that like the plague!!
Great service and good food. Don't bother if there is a queue. There is a great sushi place across the road that u don't wait in line for.
I liked this place. It was a quick eat and the food was actually good. Only gripe was that the tuna didn't taste fresh. But overall great value for money.
Convinient & Yummy. I love Sushi Train, it is convienient, healthy and tasty.
Recently they have been doing blazed scallops ($5.50) which are delicious. The staff are always very friendly. This is not fine dinning sushi so don't go in with super high expectations, it's basically like fast food for sushi - quick, easy and very yummy!
My favourito place for sushi. Great vibe, excitable staff. Tip for newbies is that sushi train is actually on spring st not oxford. Please keep this joint a secret.
This is the best sushi I've ever eaten! It's always busy so the food is always fresh. I'd recommend any sushi lovers to try it!
Out of the numerous sushi trains this one stands out. I was initially drawn by the queue that forms from opening to closing time, just to see what the fuss was about. Fun atmosphere and great, fresh sushi. The soft shell crab is a must!
