Review Bondi Massive - Bondi

D L
Possibly the best coffee in Bondi. Lots of regulars getting takeaways at the hatch (always a good sign). Relaxed vibe in the cafe. Love the inside/outside window-seats where you can watch the world go by. Also like the fact that if you just want a quick coffee on the run, you can ask for it in a glass (rather than a disposable cup) and just drink it at the outside bench seats by the window, while keeping a lookout for the next 333 bus!!

It was convenient to look at the menu because breakfast menu and lunch menu were divided, and I was happy with delicious food. But I was sad that there was no draft beer, and the location was close to Bondi Beach, but I couldn't see it. Although it was not a place to see the beach, the vintage atmosphere of the restaurant led people. This place is popular with people. Also It's close to the bus stop!

It's BONDI massive because it's BONDI awesome. Massive serves the South BONDI (SOBO) and traveling community with passion, spirit and dedication. Open early and closing late the service, food, coffee and location will keep you coming back for more. Oh and the value for money 👍. Hang out at Bondi Massive and make it your local 'go to'. You'll never look back.

Sloppy sloppy service. Ordered a take away flat white and the barista literally slopped into the cup with no care whatsoever and completely destroyed the creme. Not very strong - a flat white should not be a milky latte. Meh. Waste of a coffee.

What a fantastic spot. Awesome coffee. Friendly service. Tasty food. Perfect people watching. A consistent hit in a competitive market. Go hang with the locals and you'll be glad you did.

Have been trying different dishes here. The staff is friendly, the spot is great, the coffee is good. But the food is not as fresh and as good as other places around. For example the pancake tasted like it was pre-made, wasn't smooth and nice or hot. Came with fruits that weren't fresh. Could be better for the price.

One of the worst omelette's I've ever had - watery (from throwing in large slices of seeded tomato in at the last minute) with hard lumps of cheese. The bacon was burnt (I asked for well-cooked). The whole thing was inedible. The chef came out to ask me what the problem was and said it was the first time he'd had a complaint about the omelette. Reading other reviews I doubt it. I'm giving this 2 stars because the waitress was very nice and the freshly squeezed orange juice was delightful. There's a lot of competition in Bondi so they really need to up their game with the food.

Great coffee!! Very good service; cosy atmosphere.

Coffee is ok and Chai tea was nice. Food was extremely basic for the hype and cost. Cheap sour dough and gluten free toast which was cold when it arrived at our table. Produce was cheap and zero seasoning. I had the Avo Smash and the avo was overload and really cold (on top of the cold gluten free toast) My friends ordered salads which was just a pile of cheap spinach and my partner a cheese mushroom melt which was a pile of mushrooms with tasty cheese melted on top (again zero seasoning or flavour.)Would grab coffee and tea from the takeaway again but wouldn't ever eat there again. $18 for cold toast and avo - No thanks.

Best breakfast. Best service. Highly recommend this place for brunch. Bondi is littered with places for brunch. If you want it done right, go here!

This place is perfect ... Great set-up, great food & Bondi's best coffee! It's even got an ubundance of free on-street parking just around the corner ✔️

Food is pretty good, service is great and the place is nice and comfy BUT they charge you $3 for lemon and hot water although I have ordered a coffee....

just didn't work for me. I just wanted simple, straight forward cappuccino and some scrambled eggs on toast. I didn't get scrambled eggs, toast or a cappuccino.

Went with my husband for breakfast. We both really enjoyed it. It was delicious and reasonably priced. Staff was nice and the restaurant was clean.

Excellent local place for brunch! Always been impressed.

Literally the best coffee in Bondi by far. Especially the almond milk lattes. ❣️

My husband is making a gorgeous vegan latte in our home here in Canada and he pipes up "I wonder what's going on at Bondi Massive today" we were just there in November and we know its going to be good. Bondi Massive one of our favourite stops in the world and you know it, we'll be baaaaaaack soon ;)

The best place for coffee in Bondi! Always a good bunch of people to serve you too.

Wow, the menu has gone up a notch here. Always great coffee. Best in Bondi. I almost feel like I'm in Fitzroy. By the beach. Nice.

I visited this shop when I went for the Bondi kite festival. Everywhere is crowded on that day, so we walked away from the beach, and was looking for some places to have a lunch and a rest.

The shop is not located right next to the beach, but at the corner of Campbell Parade.
There is no window so it's really noisy.

#Classic Bacon & Egg Roll# well it is not good in appearance but tastes OK.
#Ricotta & Lemon Pancakes# Soft but thick pancake with the bananas on top and the syrup. Although the pancake is not big, but it's thick enough and will make you full.
#Open Club Stack# has chicken, bacon and vegetables piling up on the top of sourdough toast.

They have take away windows where you could buy some bakeries and coffee.

We were staying nearby and had coffee here every morning. The coffee was so nice! Best in Bondi I reckon 😋 we also ate dining in and the food was nice as well!

Enjoyable breakfast with superb coffee is on offer at Bondi Massive. Staff are hospitable although we were kind of put off that if you eat in you cannot have your coffee in a takeaway cup. Absolutely absurd. However the coffee really is good so hubs got over it pretty quickly.

Menu sounds amazing, but the food is average. Not sure how it made the Urban List top 10.
Average service with really uncomfortable seats. Coffee was pretty good (although the large latte is a jug)

On the rare occasion that I surf Bondi Beach, I visit this cafe for my post surf coffee and a snack. This cafè has in house seating and a take away window. The take away window is always abuzz with activity. People after their post surf or exercise coffee, dog walkers and others getting their routune caffine fix. Tobys estate is the brand of coffee they use here, which I quite like. Food wise they serve a range of kind of healthy baked goods like bran and berry muffins and a varity of pre made gourmet sambo's. If you are eating in the cafe they have the usual breakfast opions. This place is good for a coffee and a quick bite to eat. Grab a coffee stroll down to the beach, take in the scenery and the Bondi vibe.

This cafe near the beach is very good for the brunch, with a nice atmosphere. I had the Benedict eggs and the superfood bowl. They were both delicious, especially the birchermuesli in the Super Bowl!

Very small and cozy Resto. I tried salad and homemade fruit salad at different times. Both were good and healthy. Very well priced. If you stop by for a coffee, it will be a good start of the whole day. Plus, all the waitresses are friendly and pretty.

Great cafe situated in Bondi. Food was fantastic, coffee was amazing and service was great. Had the pancakes which were delicious. Will definitely be going back. Highly recommended.

Probably the best coffee in Bondi. When they're not busy. Then, it's luck.

The "Avocado Smash", is more of a "Avocado Cubed", so it's chunkier than Serena Williams. Needs the addition of bacon to complete the dish.

Cool vibe inside, and there's a tuck shop style window for takeaway. The place is probably a bit small, and the service is highly variable. Would work well in Surry Hills, but one must know one's audience.

The service, they will love you as long as you don’t knock Collingwood

A joke. This place is incredibly under staffed. The waitresses always seemed flustered and overwhelmed... it's not their fault. They just need more staff! The food is nice... but incredibly over priced. I'm not quite sure how people find it worth it (a coffee is as far as I went). I also overheard a male staff member (perhaps owner?) abusing a female staff member. I felt so sorry for her! It made me feel very uncomfortable. Also, any "extra" cost $4.50... I added the price of my friends meal up and almost pissed myself. It took me a while to realize that was had made the meal so expensive. Not a fan.

Tea. Beautiful pot makes it more delish

Terrible service and no apologies. Recently read about bondi massive being a must try brunch place on the urban list. We were seated quickly and told that food would take at least 20 mins due to the kitchen being quite busy. We ordered coffee to start off at 11 and food at 11:10. At 11:30 we were approached by another waitress (despite our original waitress meandering around doing nothing) asking if we had put in our orders. We RE-ORDERED our food and it finally came out at 11:50 .. so all in all it took 40 minutes and 2 reorders and poor service with no apologies for the mixup to FINALLY get our food. I'm sorry that I can't even say the food was anything spectacular. Definitely won't be returning here. If you want brunch don't come here because it'll end up being lunch.

I could not believe how hard it was to catch the wait staffs eye, they were so busy. It was as though they were trying to ignore you, hoping someone else would have you as their problem.
The good was good, despite forgetting an additional egg.
Some times these community institutions get so busy they forget what made them great.

Terrible service, go elsewhere. Food was acceptable but the service was atrocious. The staff were so run off their feet that it took an age to get an order placed. I regularly saw people sitting down then leaving without ordering because it simply took too long to get noticed. Staff will go around various tables holding items asking if that was their order because they simply have no idea which table ordered what! It took almost 1hr to get two dishes and I saw other tables who arrived later get their food earlier. The ordering system here is clearly broken and this was at 3pm. Even the coffee was pretty bad. Food was ok but I would not bother again considering the MASSIVE hassle!!

Awesome granola.. Nice coffee and the 'massive' granola is to die for! Would go back anytime for the granola. Egg breakfast was a bit small

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!. I usually have a take-away coffee at Bondi Massive before going to work. The coffee is great and I get it in 2 minutes even if I ́m the 10th person in the queue.
I like going there on weekend to have breakfast.
I ́m in love with the zucchini and corn fritters sooo yummy!

Terrible coffee

Really great coffee and great service. I had a Vegan with me and they made a special wrap for her. I had the Batler - excellent! Would recommend it!

Nothing flash but great service and a good bircher. Not quite sure I got 2.50 worth of berries though

Very nice coffee! Brunch food portion looks small on the plate, but very filling! Very good customer service as well, happy to visit again.

If u like your daily coffee consistently well made, with a full rich taste & aroma..then Bondi Massive it is!
Never burnt, or sickly tasting...& served with pleasure & a smile. I bonus these days in customer service.

Best baked eggs!. This is my local coffee place and I love it. Friendly service and great food. You can get takeaway coffee/breakfast/sandwiches or dine in. If you dine in for breakfast, definitely get the baked eggs, they are amazing!

Bondi Massive Ego. Bondi Massive has very ordinary coffee and a sh!tty attitude to match. I have tried coffee here before and not liked it preferring to walk much further down the road to Gusto's. However on New Years Day it appeared to be the only place open. After waiting a while and watching people who had ordered after me get their coffees I said 'I'm just waiting on a soy flat white". His response? In a dismissive and patronising voice "well, I can give you your money back, today is not the day to be busting our nuts luv". what the f*ck? are you for real??! one, I was just after my coffee. two, if you're not in a state to work then don't open your f*cking business. I work from home and on average buy 2 coffees a day. Kiss over $2k from your revenue for 2012 and go f*ck yourselves Bondi Massive.

Massively Impressed with Bondi Massive. For 6 years I have been looking for a breakfast cafe that knows how to poach eggs properly, today I found one.
Bravo Bondi Massive, your poached eggs are the bomb.

We stopped here for a late breakfast of poached eggs, rye sourdough, roasted tomatoes, bacon and beans for one, prosciutto, mushrooms and fetta for the other. Winning combinations all 'round. The eggs were poached to perfection and the accompaniments were delicious.

The atmosphere is cosy and opens onto the street. The staff are lovely and don't seem to have that aire of "we're from Bondi and therefore better than you" about them - so refreshing. All up, breakfast was about $40 for the both of us and we left happy as pigs in mud.

Apparently we're not the only ones who think Bondi Massive is a great place, the waitress informed me that Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr had been there a few weeks prior (she seemed quite star struck), I stopped short of telling her that Miranda had been part of my family for about 4 years and my brother still has dinner with her, Orlando and Flynn in LA - just an average day...

Thanks Bondi Massive, I will be back, for eggs, coffee, those killer ANZAC cookies and some celeb spotting. :)

Fantastic Experience. Delicious food and cosy intimate atmosphere. Cute staff.
Yummy beer and wine selection.

Had the arrancini balls; salmon; tomato guspacho shots; and the Lamb cutlets with grilled eggplant pomegranate and yoghurt... Absolutely heavenly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great coffee. Best coffee in Bondi and none of the pretensions of the precious little cafes up Hall Street. You want plastic people, go somewhere else - real folks get their cup of morning cha at the massive.
