Review Elva - Bondi

Joana Cerejo
Went in around closing time and the kitchen staff was incredibly nice to still accept us in. There was no vegetarian pasta in the menu, which was a bit disappointing at first, but when I asked the waiter, he said the chef could make something for me, which I really appreciated. I had a delicious pasta with tomato sauce and burrata! The portions were good. Again, great service.

Beautiful buzzing corner restaurant on Bondi Road. Plenty of outdoor seating. Wine list is incredible and pasta is home made. Perfect for a casual night out, we will be back.

We three Melbourne girls (in our 50’s) were in Sydney for a couple of nights last weekend. We happened upon Elva and were blown away by the professionalism of the wait staff, the sophisticated atmosphere and the outstanding food. We had a booking elsewhere the following evening but ended up just having pre dinner drinks before making our way back to Elva! And boy we were glad we did. We tried almost everything we hadn’t on our first night (it’s a small menu) and again, were blown away. Can’t wait to get back there!!

We walked in and were lucky to snag a spot for five on a Saturday night. It was super good. Lovely wait staff and excellent bartender. Wine suggestion on point and delicious food (?? a touch salty) in a nice space. Thank you.

Amazing food. Everything was soo delicious. Try the ravioli, ink pasta, crem brulee. The service was awesome! We had our dog with us and the waitress was so friendly towards him. She even gave him a treat. Great job!10/10😊

A beautiful bar restaurant classically decorates with a contemporary look. The food was good - pasta, namely, and the baked cheese. A couple of dishes were over salted and it’s probably just a teething issue of being a new restaurant. Worth a shot.

Service was really good here, our waiter was really attentive. The olives were very tasty and the polenta chips and cauliflower were yummy too

Good service and delicious food. The roasted artichokes and baked cacciotella are great to share, but are so tasty, you will want to keep them all for yourself! Our greens concisted entirely of snow peas (maybe they were out of beans and spring onions), but we hardly ever get snow peas, so that was perfect. The rib eye was served in two pieces, so my wife and I were able to have one piece each. It was cooked rare as requested and was soft, juicy and tasty. The rigatoni con ragu was not up to the same excellent standards as the rest of the food and the restaurant was quite noisy, but apart from that, I'd highly recommend it to others.
