Review Skinny Dip - Bondi

Cool, layed back place with excellent breakfasts. My favorite best place in Bondi

Awesome flavours with really well served portions. The Mushroom potato stack was delicious and all of us left with very full bellies. The place has character and staff is friendly. Will come back for sure!

Food was nice enough. Service was friendly but not great as they lost our order, then after we chased them they got the replacement order wrong. Didn't offer any discount due to there multiple mistakes. They also lost the order of the people sitting next to us. Maybe they where having a really bad day, who knows... despite the problems was enjoyable enough but probably wouldn't bother going back, specially with how many great cafes there are in Sydney. Maybe one for the locals that seem to be starved of high calibre cafes.

Great atmosphere. Laid back. Tasty food. And the coffee is amazing. The staff are extremely friendly. The guy who makes the coffee has been known for years for making the best coffee in town.

Great food, great prices, good service. LOVED the sumac tomatoes with brekky. Eggs poached perfectly (soft) and staff were really accommodating with the changes we wanted. Set us up for the cliff walk.

Tasted pretty good but way too expensive for what it was. Staff weren't interested in us and I had to wave multiple times to get their attention. One female staff member was rude, unfriendly and wasn't interested. Didn't make my breakfast time enjoyable.

Took good care of gluten free, the chef has personal experience with celiacs. Food tasted great, generous portions. Decent coffee as well.

Won't be going back. Everything overcooked - hard poached eggs and almost un-chewable bacon. In addition the service was really below expectations for a quiet Tuesday daytime. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but it was the worst brunch I've had in Bondi so far.

went on a Sunday morning for a casual brunch. The food was nice and had a huge portion I really enjoyed my avo toast. However, my friend and I were absolutely disappointed as we sat outdoor and the flies kept bugging us and that just ruined our appetite.

If you like your eggs poached hard and your 'sourdough' being cheap white bread, you'll love this place. On my way home now to cook myself something I can eat.

Had breakfast midday on Saturday, the place was packed but a 5min wait and we were able to get an outside table. The service was fast, food was great and the coffee excellent. We really enjoyed the breakfast and outdoor setting... well done.

Breakfast here Saturday morning. The place was full and we had a group of 6. The owner pulled out a folded table and put it up for us. We were impressed. Menu was good with lots of different variations of the usual brekkie stuff. I got the caprese salad with boccicini, pesto sourdough and poached egg. It was yum. They were also happy to split the bill for us.

Great cappuccino, awesome chocolate brownies, nice pancakes & corn fritters but absolutely terrible shakshuka - tasted like pasta sauce out of a jar with super runny, almost raw eggs and so much coriander!

This week we had some visitors in the office I work in, from one of our other offices in Manila and all week they begged us to take them to Bondi Beach… so on Saturday, with the sun shining (well, it did until about 3pm at least), R and I piled our three new friends into R’s car and drove down to the beach. I complained the entire drive about being hungover (thanks Christmas Party) and hungry, so demanded breakfast happened before beach. Not knowing the area that well, and trying to keep to a budget, we ended up at popular local haunt, Skinny Dip, which has nothing on the menu over $15 and served all day breakfast, yes this would suit us just fine. Well… me at least, because it turns out I was the only one who wanted breakfast – everyone else ordered lunch! Hanging out with my new Manila crew The menu at Skinny Dip has lots of skinny, healthy options for those bikini-concious beachgoers, but my hangover was having none of that, so I ordered the mushroom and roast potato hash with poached eggs, feta and basil pesto: Having been to several brunch spots recently that stinge you on the bread (hey, just because I’m a stinge, doesn’t mean I appreciate being stinged on the cheapest thing ever!), so was thrilled to received two proper sized pieces of toast. Having said that, I would’ve probably liked more mushrooms – because there’s no such thing as too many mushrooms. The roast potatoes were crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle and worked well with the basil pesto and the small amount of balsamic glaze on the plate (next time more balsamic glaze too please!) and earthy mushrooms and feta pair classically, so the whole thing was my kind of hangover food, soaked in tangy poached egg yolks that I spilled all over my food. J ordered thee teriyaki chicken baguette and while I cannot speak for the chicken itself, my hangover propelled me towards some of the discarded bread which was that perfect balance of doughy centre a
2 Hungry Guys
Like most people, I like to search places to eat at 2am in the morning because you know, I’m not hungry enough or anything. From then it begins, stalking the menu, Instagram, Facebook for any crumbs of photos, building the anticipation. So, after a plethora of mouth-watering snaps I decided on Skinny Dip at Bondi Beach. Eggs Russian ($15.50) Generous amounts of smoked salmon topped with warm poached eggs and homemade hollandaise sauce with a side of creamy avocado. First up, I was a bit taken by the size of the plate, it was massive and I could barely fit both dishes into my square photo for Instagram (tragic, I know). This dish was a well executed classic brunch with the eggs, salmon and avocado. Smashed Avocado ($15) + Halloumi ($3.90) Obviously the anticipation must have gotten to me because I didn’t bother to read the menu properly and skipped the fact that this dish already had bacon, leading me to order extra halloumi. The savoury bacon and halloumi balanced well with the rye toast and creamy avocado. Believe it or not, there was actually spinach (I’m sometimes maybe healthy) in this dish but basically covered by the ridiculously generous amount of bacon. Chai Latte My friend did a great job pouring the chai through the strainer (insert sarcasm detector here). Although, it was great to see that the cafe used organic leaves, not the overly sweet powdered stuff. Skinny Dip is a great member of the cafes along Hall st, covering all the basic brunch craves. It’s also close to the beach and great to visit on weekends, especially when the markets are on. Contributed by Katrina

The Skinny Dip Cafe in Bondi is my favorite local breakfast place. It's walking distance from home, has many tables outside, and offers great food & coffee. What more could you want on a Sunday morning? I love that they offer tofu scramble

Hi there Sydney! Talk about a jetsetting life, back from America on a Tuesday and off to Sydney with Brad on a very early Friday morning. On a flight which got very delayed. Which means I got very hungry. Which means I demanded eggs upon arrival of my dea

Pretty fair breakfast. I don't mean to sound like a prudish old nanna but I don't want to see the waitresses buttcheeks... Get some longer shorts! We got served quickly and it was pretty good. Expected a bit more from the home made beans but they were alright. Big menu and huge portions. Almond milk coffee was really nice and juice was good too.

Always a favourite. You cannot fault the food as it is simply delicious.
The menu caters for all with your basic bacon and eggs to the mushroom stack with feta.
Plenty of options and they do breakfast all day!
8.5/10... Only downfall is the staff.
Half the time they're pretty rude and don't even acknowledge you as they give you menus.

Quite disappointing for a place that has such great food

Always delivers. I have been coming to skinny dip for years. Everyone has their bad days but I have been amazed at how consistent skinny dip has remained over the years. Friendly and efficient service, with the food always a high standard. Even during busy times, it still manages to deliver. Easily in my top 3 cafe's in Bondi area

Incredible chorizo pasta and strawberry salad. Topped off with a milk chocolate and white chocolate brownie. Highly recommend!

Delicious for brunch!! Always have the mushrooms, spinach and Parmesan toast. Coffee is great! One of our favourites :)

Best breakfast in bondi! And my kids love it ( and clear their plates)
Coffee is good but there is better around but the poached eggs are heaven.

Terrible quality of ingredients offered up at today's breakfast. One had the omelette, one had the Dean Bean. The eggs had the flavor of Coles's $1.99 for a dozen cage eggs. The bacon was fatty and limp. The beans weren't canned but they may as well have been. The thick cut toast had the flavor, freshness and density of a half loaf of Tip Top ultra cheap bread.

The coffee was quite good though, just skip the food.

Excellent coffee with real flakes of chocolate for sprinkles for Skinny Dips cappuccinos. This is just one example of Skinny Dip going the extra mile. Consistently busy, it's easy to frees and nosh here. Love it.

Great salads. Always a great vibe too.

My All Time Favourite. I don't live at Bondi Beach anymore and the one thing I miss most about Bondi (other than the surf) is Skinny Dip. Great coffee and the best muesli & fruit salad breaky in Sydney
