Review Grill'd Bondi Junction - Bondi

I loooooooooove their burgers and even more so the vegetarian & vegan options. The first time I've ordered their beyond meat veggie burger, I thought I had to complain that they've given me an actual meat burger by mistake because it was so insanely good and tasted like real meat. Their different options of fries are great too, especially the zucchini fries! I order from Grill'd whenever I crave comfort food. Highly recommended.

Disappointed! I bought sweet potato chips 8.8 dollars, the size is small and non any chips were crunchy! it was wet and so oily I can smell the old oil that they used for chips too. Won’t go back there again

Grill'd have been promoting plant based burgers again, with their current "Meat Free Mondays" 2 for 1, dine-in burger special starting from $13.50. I like having mine outside, at the stable & generously sized tables, elevated above street level. The service is always friendly, & the burgers are consistently good. For an extra $1.50 per burger - you can choose the Gluten free option - which is pretty good.

I often go here and get their burgers which always taste fresh and delicious. I also love their sweet potato fries (best I have found!) The staff are all lovely and gave me a vou her for a free burger after I had my bank card stolen. Definitely recommended and will keep going back.

I’ve always found the staff at grilld really friendly, however the owner of the Bondi consistently makes my day. He’s so lovely and friendly, takes the time to get to know you and none of it is forced, he just genuinely wants everyone to have a good time. I see it with every single person that walks in, including delivery drivers. Vegan burgers consistently good as well but the guy who runs the place is what keeps me returning.

Grill’d is located just outside Bondi Westfield shopping centre directly across the road from the main bus stops. It’s a perfect spot to met up with friends or a group. There is plenty of seating inside and outside; all covered. Ordering and prepaying at the counter is easy and your meal is brought straight to your table. The food is ok.

I normally love grill’d and used to get it a lot but the last few times I felt like the quality and freshness of the food wasn’t what it used to be and put me off of it a bit. Good concept and love the vegan burgers normally though!

omg! Grill’d, My favourite. There is nothing else to say but amazing. the food is high quality and tasted scrumptious. The one thing i love is their Panini bread. It is the only bread i eat with burgers so good on them. Their staff are quick and nice and everything tastes great. highly recommended

The veggei mushroom burger is back on menu finally and is even more delicious ! Other vegetarian and vegan options on the menu are great too.

Found a bug in my burger which was really off putting. The service has improved since I first ate here. Lots of seating available too - inside and outside. Just outside and across from the Westfield.

First time I’ve been to grill’d in Bondi Junction.

Lovely atmosphere and wide menu selection. Affordable prices and lots of seating available, but still somewhat busy as it was late night shopping at Westfield Bondi just across the road. I ordered the bacon and cheese burger with a side of ‘snack’ fries and both were delicious. I just ordered the traditional bun which was crispy and soft. However my mate got the panini style bread and he said it was way too hard.

Overall a good experience. Will definitely visit the other Grill’d outlets around Sydney 😊

Food recommendation: crispy bacon and cheese🍔

Worst service I have ever received at a grill’d chain restaurant. The staff were rude and just didn’t listen. We had to repeat our order to the cashier 3 times and still she got it wrong. And when our meals came out wrong we were told too bad it’s what you ordered and if you want something else you have to buy it. Thanks for ruining our valentines evening Grill’d Bondi Junction.

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to pass on that your staff are really great and friendly! 9pm on a Monday night I wouldn’t have expected such good service. Please pass onto your team!

I came in to try the new speciality burger range. My friend and I got Wagyu Winder and Summer Sunset with some herb fries to share. The burgers were tasty and with the fries made a filling meal.

I wanted to call out the fabulous, very friendly and helpful staff that made the dining experience great.

Grill'd - This name always strikes a positive chord in me! Yummy,. nutritious burgers!

Thankfully, they do have a few vegetarian options as well. Veggie Vitality is my favourite burger here. I usually go for the low carb bun.

The cost does tend to be a bit on the higher side, but good food doesn't come cheap! I certainly recommend this place!

Food - 4.5/5
Service - 4/5
Ambiance - 4.5/5
Value for money - 3.5/5
Overall - 4/5

After a spot of shopping, I went to Grilled for a quick dinner. It needed to be light, whilst a bit of energy before boxing training. I've been to grilled before and like all the options they have. A large space with many tables so fits lots of people when busy. There's almost 20 burgers to choose from; beef, lamb, chicken, vegetarian and vegan. The have some different chips to choose from too. I got the beef burger with Dijon, tomato, cheese, pickles and bacon. I chose the low carb bread. This was the lowest calorie option at around 2000kj and it was very tasty. I enjoyed it a lot. Service was fast, the employees were friendly and came and checked I was happy with my food. Another thing I liked is that you get a bottle top when you buy your meal and you pop in a jar with a charity name on it. They donate money to the respective charities according to how many bottle tops in the jar - community focused too 😘

Grill'd is a guilty pleasure. It's delicious. So delicious. I've never had a burger disappoint. I do though always find myself going back for the Simply Grill'd which has the combination of tomato relish and herbed mayo that I love. I can also recommend the Baa Baa burger which has lamb and avocado and all sorts of goodies. I will say however that the chips are a little average and is the only reason I give 4.5 as opposed to 5. But when the burgers are so flavoursome and filling, you won't miss the chips.

Very disappointed. Got the veggie falafel burger that promised pumpkin tsaziki and humus all of which didn't seem to be there. The burger was just a dry patty with cabbage :( got takeaway as well so only found this out when I got home

Went with mates for the 2nd time at Grill'd Bondi Junction for the greatest burgers in the vicinity. The burgers were amazing, the atmosphere and everything the restaurant has to offer is on point. I believe the chips are an acquired taste, however. Would recommend to anyone for the best burgers in the junction!

Surprising decent burgers at reasonable prices. Friendly and helpful staff. Average food turnaround times. Fantastic that they support local communities and causes.

I went into Grill'd Bondi junction today for lunch with a friend, and I was definitely not disappointed. The restaurant has a trendy, relaxed atmosphere about it, perfect for hanging out with friends. I ordered a 'Zen Hen' burger, which was absolutely delicious. Ideally sized burger that left me feeling perfectly full, but not overly bloated. Perfect harmony of flavours with an extra kick from the peanut and coriander. The menu is extensive and states the kilojoules in each item, making it perfect for every palette and those who want to watch the calories. There is also a range of buns to choose from, including a low carb bun with only 9 carbs in total. This place is also perfect for families. Overall a great and very happy, satisfying experience! I'll be back

Yummy burgers! Love the grain-free bun option, still very tastey and feels healthy. Zucchini chips are like tempura. Normal chips are fine, nothing special. Next time I'll try the sweet potato.

The only downer is the feckless staff ... forgetting to add pickles to one of our burgers (which were part of the burger as written on the menu), putting the jalepenos ordered on the side directly on another burger, unable to work the cash register or understand questions about the buns ... We just gave up in the end. How can something so simple be so hard ... anyway, I guess it's the luck of the draw. Some staff seem to know what they are doing.

FOOD TYPE
This is basically a burger joint, but they do salads as well. They stock a small selection of boutique beers.

FOOD QUALITY
We’ve dined here many times and never been disappointed with the food, and this last time was no exception. We started with a shared “superpower salad”. It was an outstanding dish and excellent value at $14. Lashings of tender, succulent chicken, neatly cut into small edible squares with avocado, beetroot, almonds, tomatoes, lettuce, onion, carrot, mint and topped with a tangy olive oil dressing – a welcome addition to the menu, replacing the bland and tasteless mushroom and “dukkah” salad they used to offer. For my burger, I choose the Mustard & Pickled one ($12) which has Dijon mustard, pickles, cheese, salad and relish. The meat was well cooked but tender, just the way I like it. To go with it I chose the traditional chips ($5). They were long and crispy, and the perfect accompaniment to the burger. (We’ve tried the sweet potato and the zucchini chips but they’re both awful. So give them a miss.) The portion sizes are decent and you shouldn’t leave here hungry.

ATMOSPHERE
This is a casual joint which doesn’t have too much atmosphere. The space is large with tables of different sizes spread out over two levels with a few tables on a little terrace outside as well. The style is basic, utilitarian wood and stone. With the front section wide open to the street though, it’s an ideal venue for summer dining (but it can get chilly in winter). As it was a hot night in late Feb, we decided to sit outside. It was pleasantly cool, although I found it a tad noisy from the passing traffic. There’s usually a smattering of diners here to keep you company, so you won’t dine alone although it’s never overly full.

SERVICE
I’ve always found the service to be friendly and efficient. The ordering counter is right at the front as you enter. The drill is that you’ll choose a table then select someone in your party to go up and order. You’ll be given a number and within about 10 minutes, the food is brought to the table. That generally seems to work fairly smoothly and we’ve never experienced any delays or hiccups.

COMFORT
The wooden benches or stools are slightly uncomfortable but then one normally doesn’t stick around too long after finishing ones meals so it’s not really a problem. The solid wooden tables though are ideal for eating burgers – and they’re large enough to fit all your meals and drinks comfortably. And without table cloths you can make as much mess as you like.

MENU
The menus are printed double sided on plain paper, so I guess they’re just reprinted daily as needed. You won’t find them on the tables but in a little basket just in front of the ordering counter. They’re exactly as you see on the web, so no surprises there.

TOILETS
There are no toilets in the restaurant per se. So you need to use the ones next-door at the Easts Leagues Club. Just tell the security staff there that you’ve been eating at Grill’d and they’ll let you through. And what’s odd about these toilets is that they’re unisex, which I find distinctively uncomfortable, especially with the half stable-like cubicle doors. Apart from that, they’re clean and well provisioned.

ACOUSTICS
You’ll have no problem conversing here even though there are no carpets or other noise absorbers. That’s because it’s a large place and the tables are well spaced out and it’s rarely overly full.

COST
We always come here with our Ent Book voucher (there are three in the current 2015/16 book) which offers one free main meal with every one bought. So that kept our cost down to a reasonable $41 for two burgers, one serve of chips, a salad and a bottle of Little Creatures Pale Ale.

PARKING/ACCESS
We usually park at the Westfield Shopping Centre across the road, which has two hours free or, if you get in after 7pm, it’s totally free.

SUMMARY
Solid value here and decent burgers for the price. Atmosphere is easy-going and relaxed and you can always get a table. Staff are efficient and friendly. An ideal place for a casual bite.

RECOMMENDATION
The new “superpower salad” is well worth trying, either as an entrée or as an extra after your burger.

Burgers tasted good as always with Grill'd.
Friendly staff and a more of a DIY kind of vibe where you go up and order instead of someone taking orders. Serving sizes are filling and the price is reasonable.
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
They claim to be the healthiest, but I don’t buy into any ‘the burgers are better’ sing-song; and the number of calories written by the burger may as well be foreign currency to me. That said: there’s no clouding of judgment when I say that the burgers here are damn good. The latest to spring up is in Bondi Junction; not an easy hustle, but Grill’d aim high. They’re licensed, provide al fresco dining, and even donate a buck from every meal to a local charity of your choice. Now, the burgers are big: the Summer Sunset ($12.50) is your classic Aussie beef burger with avocado, pineapple and bacon (just missing beetroot). It’s juicy and messy - the way it should be. Field of Dreams ($11.50) caters to the vegos with mushroom, basil pesto, roasted peppers, cheese and a mayo that makes the mouth sing. Somewhere in the middle there’s the Baa Baa Burger ($12.90) . While the name may make sensitive vegetarians wince, this lamb burger will transport you to a ha

Spacious with friendly staff. We popped in here for a quick lunch and found the staff very friendly and food good as the other Grill'd chains we have visited.

The location is spacious with seating inside and out but the toilets are located two doors down in the club itself.

today I had the chicken and pomegranate salad and my husband tried the summer sunset beef burgers. The disappointment was the sweet potato chips which were more burnt and soggy. Still, it was a quick and filling lunch.

In love this place! Always polite fast and delicious.
Not only don't hey offer gluten free but you can opt out of a bun all together!!! The beef burgers (in a bowl!) Rock my work

Came in after passing it a few times thinking it was just a burger joint and would be too big and greasy after the gym but it was perfect. I ordered the beef grilled and it was healthy and tasty. Not huge and greasy at all. Love the friendly customer service and the charity projects too. Good on you guys!

These guys are kidding!. Classic example of clever marketing and very little substance. I reluctantly came here to try (usually go to Burgercrave) as I go to the gym upstairs and pass it several times, nice shop fitout (music too loud tho)....had the "hot hombre" chicken. Chicken was dry, cold sauce with black beans and corn chips???? Ate half and wasn't happy- so order a beef burger "hot mamma" - was just ok, too much sauce and bread. Strange combinations of fillings...Sorry guys but Burgercrave smashes you!!
P.s how these burgers are healthy/healthier is beyond me?? Very pricy also, paid nearly 30$ for 2 burgers and chips!
