Review Bondi's Best - Bondi

First time to be there and had no idea about what to order. The staff nicely recommended the chips with fired flathead and another (couldn't remember the fish's name lol). Dished are well presented and the taste gave us a "wow". Thanks

Great staff. Tasty and delicious food. The quality of the fishes is extraordinary. It is very casual and not pricey at all, fair price for excellent food. Strongly recommend: spicy edamames, spicy tuna roll, prawn tempura roll and the best fish and chips. Everything was to die for.

It is supposed to be a seafood shop but now its menu show more sushi and sashimi (their utensils are interesting: fork, knife and chopsticks). Their fish is delicious though it's a bit small in portion.

We had dinner here and it was super tasty. We had a few sushi rolls, the prawn tempura and salmon aburi - the prawn tempura was delicious and the salmon aburi lacked flavour. We also had the special flathead curry which we really enjoyed. There are lots of dairy free options and the food is super fresh!

Delicious-ly fresh seafood - grilled snapper (special) and crispy skinned barramundi. Cauliflower side waa also yum! Attentive service too!

Excellent food. It's like they can read my mind - perfectly grilled fish and can get papaya salad AND miso eggplant ! This is one of my favourite restaurants in Sydney. Every dish is very good, including their chips.

Randomly chose this place for our dinner after a visit at the Bondi Beach and what a pleasant surprise it was! Very delicious food. It can get very very busy tho.

Food and service are perfect! Fish and chips taste really delicious with the combination of the tartar sauce.

Great food like its sister restaurant in North Bondi, but lacks the atmosphere and local feel that it is so much a part of the experience in the other location. We've ordered take away a few times when it first opened which was fine. We sat in for the first time last night and our favourites fish and chips for him, salmon and greens for me. It was considerably more expensive than North Bondi and the service was polite but very pushy. We'll be heading back to North Bondi next time.

We had a very nice lunch here and with 1 paying adult 1 child ate free which was a great deal. Crispy tofu was nice and spicy miso soup we had the barramundi and chips they were nice as well, very clean would recommend.

Fish was perfectly cooked however the chips were small in size and really oily. Our orders were taken promptly and our meals arrived shortly afterwards. Friendly service. We finished the night off with icecream from the cake shop directly opposite which was incredible.

Because I ate one of the best dishes of my life here: Glacier 51 Patagonian toothfish. Miso marinated, perfectly cooked, fatly glistening on smoked mash. Ooooooohhhhhh, smoked mash is a revelation, I want to eat it with everything. There was a very generous scoop of tobiko and a salad of pickled daikon and shitake the whole dish as balanced and perfect as a dealer's scales.

I was ignorant of what a fascinating fish the old G51PSJ is but I think it was handled with such respect and skill that I went to look it up after eating it. Bravo.

Fantastic little spot for a long lunch. Exquisite oyster dressings, fresh seafood, great wine list and fantastic staff. Definitely worth a visit.

I saw in a review that this was BYO.....now it is licensed with a very good small non commercial wine list. The spicy miso hit the spot. But then i am a fan of spice and heat in food. The fried tofu salad was light, yet full of flavour and a nice savoury/umami taste/texture to it.The snow roll with scallops was amazing. The warm ingredients were very well matched in texture and tastes with the cool ingredients.A great informal venue. They also do takeaway. And there is a second venue in Bondi as well (Campbell Pde). Was certainly not, in a very good and positive way, what I was expecting of a seafood/Japanese restaurant. The 2 guys, Max and sorry forgot the other guy's name, were welcoming and attentive to detail and service.Highly recommended.

They've done it! I wasn't sure whether the quality at the Bondi's Best hole-in-the-wall in Campbell Pde could be replicated, but it has been. And it's as delicious as ever!

We had a really good dinner here on a Friday night. The host knew it was going to be a busy night and we didn't have a booking but he sat us anyway which was nice. Luckily we're American which means it takes us 5.2 seconds to eat most dishes.

We ordered the scallops to start and had the barramundi and ahi for mains. The food was very tasty and I definitely recommend going. Just beware that the prices are no joke--pretty expensive to eat here casually. We were well over $100 for two of us only ordering 3 dishes and without any alcohol.

Super great place, I am all about the fish and chips- always a winner- perhaps alittle yellow tho. Still great, service is good- ask Chris about his monkey attack, it's a randomass story.

Really enjoyed the food here, bouillabaisse is a must, the seafood curry was perfectly balanced and good serving portions

I will return

This is by far the best seafood restaurant, actually, restaurant, that I've been to in Sydney for awhile. The food is amazing; fresh and delicious. The staff are fabulous, super friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend. Another bonus is it's BYO! Winning...
