Review Katzy's Food Factory - Bondi

Off the path Jewish butcher with a small (6 seats?) dine in area for the deli. Availabilities for the Reuben sandwich are iffy since we came in the day before Christmas eve in the arvo. The very very nice and friendly lady took our order of matzo ball and chicken soup, a pie and a perogen. Which was delicious. The soup and matzo ball portions were generous and would've easily been shared by two people. Unfortunately she got our order wrong, we got two chicken soups and two matzo balls instead of just one of each. I know I ordered correctly because she asked whether we were sharing and I said yes. I understand however, that they might have been very busy because it was just before Christmas. Their service was exemplary, I saw the butchers help little old ladies carry their massive orders and also double check everything.

I would not recommend this place and I won't be comming here again. The hamburgers were like eating charcoal, the schnitzel was dry, even succeded to ruin a simple salad. the only normal dish was the fish sticks. The fries were soggy with oil. my order was almost 200$ and i got three small katchup containers, when i asked for a few more i was asked to pay for it.

First time at a kosher restaurant in Sydney. Friendly service and prompt food service. Onion rings and fish burger are a must try! Chicken and vegetable pie is home made and delicious. Wasn't a fan of the beef pie or beef burger, which was average. After their renovation a month ago, the new setting is modern, clean and bright. Kudos to the owner for making the change!

Food good (3 stars for the food) Service - the Worst ! Extremely bad bad bad. - 3 of us arrived. 2 staff behind counter chatting, after 20 mins waiting for someone to bring us menus we had to go up and ask for menus. Another 15 minutes for them to walk around the counter with menu. Place was practically empty so they were definitely not run off their feet serving other people. Wine order : we ordered 1 x glass of white, one plain water and one sparkling water. - glass of white wine comes (took another 20mins) and the waitress says the other glass of white and red will be with us soon. - We never ordered 3 glasses of wine - only one. FOOD: Both of my dishes served were NOT what I ordered. - wrong soup given to me and wrong small salad. This is not rocket science - most basic of dishes ordered and they could not get it right. They did not provide cutlery for soups - we asked but they just kept walking past. We had to get up and get our own cutlery. Nice staff yes - but level of service is really bad. Shame as the food ( when I eventually received the food I ordered) was very nice. Extremely disappointing.

We really enjoyed the nice Aussi food there. If you are a meat lover , you gotta go there and have a real burger or spare ribs. Portions were huge, take away option and nice comfortable space. We actually ate there a few times the same week. A must kosher visit of Sydney.

Am a little shocked really..
I stopped by after a craving for matzo ball soup. I had to check that it was chicken soup. Aside from being quite thick, and a red/orange colour, and no sign of any chicken, it was extremely salty and tasted like vegetable stock. The matzo ball was nice though.
I also ordered a side of egg salad, which was absolutely delicious.

... this was the sort of sandwich that is pure uncomplicated comfort food.

The bread is very lightly toasted, is smeared with Dijon mustard and packed generously with hot shaved corned beef that almost had a bacon flavour to it. No pun intended. Thick cut pickles come on the side.

The food is good enough but the attitude is terrible.
Plenty of other kosher restaurants around that are friendly
