Review The Tin Pin Bakery - Bondi

Absolutely brilliant cafe in a quaint little street. Chanced upon it from all the great reviews. Best iced long black for a sunny day and the chocolate almond croissant is to die for.

My favourite coffee shop and bakery in all of Bondi! Their fresh bread and pastries are baked daily and are all so delicious, my favourite loaf would have to be their original sourdough - it’s so soft! Love starting my day off with their delicious coffee. All of their staff are so friendly, kind and generous and make every visit memorable. Can’t wait for my next visit. Thank you TinPin!

EDIT:Very good coffee but unfortunately very slow in the morning. 15 min wait for one coffee with one person in front of me while the barista (Asian girl) was chatting to her customers and not focusing on making coffee. Very relaxed atmosphere but not so good If you're in a rush to work.

Start to be my favourite place in Bondi. I have done a lot of coffee shop around and the food is very good for the best price. Event the coffee is not very expensive. Love the services. Keep going and see you very soon lol

What a rude cramped place!! Was in a queue to get food and told by the lady in front about how annoying I was just standing there without saying a word. It’s so cramped, where do you expect me to stand, while you are pushing into my lap! Potentially a racist attack since I am coloured and she was white! I write this review mins after getting out WITHOUT getting any food. Will never visit again!!

The baked goods so-so. But they have a nice collection of sugar free drink. 🤗

A small customer service observation but I think how a business responds to small problems determines its success. I stopped in on a lazy Easter Monday morning hungry for bacon and egg roll. The previous bakery made them from scratch for $5 but the new owners provide them pre-made for $7.50. The bakery is quite dear in general ($18 for 6 pack of hot cross buns) but that seems to be to norm now in Bondi. The person taking my order asked what sauce I wanted; I said BBQ is fine. I handed her $20 and she said that will be $8, I pointed to the sign showing $7.50 and she said sauce is 50 cents extra. I said no sauce then thanks (as I was taking it home) and she said OK $7.50. Good customer service would have had her mention there was a charge for sauce beforehand (and when you're paying $7.50 for a re-heated bacon and egg roll I would think good customer service also includes complimentary sauce). Anyway about ten minutes went by and no sign of my sandwich when the manager asked me if I was waiting for coffee and I said no, a bacon and egg roll. The manager then sent another staff person to get my order. Meanwhile the original person who took my order was going out of her way to cease providing me service. It felt rude. In the end the sandwich was ok, not as good as the fresh made one's provided by the previous owner for $5 (including sauce).

One of my favourite bakeries in Sydney. Savoury Focacias yum. Anything with custard yum, the brioche OMG! Coffee good. And I love the LITTLE chairs and tables.

Tin Pin Bakery is more than just a bakery, it has a plethora of gourmet goodies that are perfect for breakfast, lunch and even dinner all of which can be enjoyed inside their cosy little cafe space. Their bread comes in all shapes and sizes and they make one of the best gluten free options I have tasted to date.

I ordered a flat white and was given a cappacino. When I pointed this out to the staff member I got a bit of an argument and she turned her back on me and walked out to the back. The other staff member sorted my order out and said that the 1st staff member was new and young.

Hey Lauren .G .you are kidding yea !. The organic produce in there is some of the best prices i've seen and i know for a fact he sells eggs at less any supermarket for the true organic quality, he just wants to cover the cost of what he uses. sorry luv but this place rocks !

Love it!. How great is it that Tin Pin is open from 5am?!! You can actually have a leisurely coffee ( and AMAZING fruit bun) in the morning without having to rush off to work! The coffee is consistently great. I love how un pretentious the atmosphere is in there.

Tin pin is wonderful! Most.... Tin pin is wonderful!
Mostly because it's one of those places that remember your coffee order - which by the way is delicious.
They are part of the Bondi rd fabric and for those days when you have to wake at an ungodly hour you know they'll be open with a warm coffee, a decedent almond croissant and smile.

Way over priced organic stuff

Simon Food Favourites review. Lots of tempting baked goodies and breads in store although just tried a Cappuccino ($3.50) which was very good. Nice flavour and depth with no bitterness. Babyccino was mostly froth as preferred but cup was only about half filled and could have been more generous as it didn't take long to be finished. Also tried a Raspberry Tart ($4.50) which looked promising in the display counter but short crust pastry was a bit dense and filling for some reason was a touch icy making me suspect the cabinet might be a bit too cold? Plenty of raspberries on top though but I still much prefer La Renaissance in The Rocks. Service was friendly. Decor rustic and limited seating.

Yummy sandwiches & focaccia. Don't hesitate to demand to be served cause otherwise they'll just ignore you. Service needs work.
