Review Myoko Sushi Bar - Bondi

Good fresh food. We appreciated the portion sizes that were quite generous especially for a Japanese restaurant so beware of that as we definitely ordered too much. The sashimi, nigiri plates, and the soft shell crab were delicious and the presentation was beautiful.

Made an online dinner order for 2, waited at least 10mins for them to confirm my order. Had to call for them to put it through. Delivery took an hr and 45mins despite being only 10min from the restaurant. Tried to call them twice between 5min intervals after an hour and they didn't even bother to answer, was hung up on. Delivery driver was friendly at hand off but unsure they realized my order was delivered late. Website and tracking link in email says it updates with a live status, that is untrue so do not rely on it. Very unfortunate experience. Perhaps dining in would be a different story. Try delivery at your own risk. Food was ok but nothing to write home about. My salmon in the bento was overcooked, the sashimi could be of a higher quality and the chicken karage was floury. Found portion size to be lacking (especially the salmon in the bento) but bentos had a good variety. Edit: can't take a call from a customer but will be quick to reply to a bad review, says enough

Such a beautiful blend of all flavors and textures! The sashimi is extremely fresh and the best soft shell crab I've ever had!

Came here on a date night and loved it! Ordered their ramen special and it was flavourful and affordable, their dumplings were crispy and juicy, and their sushi was made to order! So nice!

I love getting the bento box here. Sashimi is always good and sushi roll. The hot and cold food is good. They are always quick with the food and still tastes good. Staff are friendly. I would recommend to come to this place if your in Bondi!

Terrible service and intoxicated We went yesterday for the first time, and it will be the last time. Three on 4 of us had fish and got sick (stomach cramps, vomiting, and feeling unwell); the fourth one was vegetarian and was alright. But for the rest of us, myself included, we have been feeling terrible since last night, and today, not able to work. Besides that the service was terrible, they served us the wrong dishes then we had to repeat the order four times. On top of that, we've seen one of the waitresses going into the kitchen and starting to eat the plate, which was a mistake. Then she came back to us asking again what we ordered while chewing in front of us the foo that she just had before in the back. Anyway, running away from this venue it’s the worst Japanese sushi that we had tried. Munchies sushi is way better and worth it for your money and health.

Always fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. Worth a visit for a cute low key date night or grab some takeaway for an evening on the couch. Heaps of delicious options including lots of healthy choices.

Small shop hidden behind Bondi Beach, serves fresh and truly tastefull sushi. There is table service and also train style spin dishes. Visual menú, combined with the regular one, gives you an expectation of the food you are ordering. Not really busy along the visit, they provide of booking slots as well, while other similar sushi restaurant around do not do. Would have been a 5 star, thanks to the incomparable food quality. What keeps this place down is the only waiter on the floor (which I believe is not common standard), whom is in charge of all service process, slowing it down a bit. Also the place lacks of ambience, music would be a nice add to go with your food. Summing things up, Myoko lasts as my favourite sushi I've tried so far. Chapeau.

The best sushi in Sydney.

Gotta love the sushi here!!! They have the most authentic Japanese style of Sushi and dishes! Best part is that they are close by to Bondi Beach!

Myoko are serving up stunning dishes from hand rolled sushi, sashimi, karrage, katsu, salads and more. Their attention to detail is impeccable and the freshness of the ingredients is evident with every bite. A great dining experience in Bondi which I definitely recommend checking out. Reasonably priced sushi considering the portion that they are served; 4 sushi per plate, but can easily be 6 pieces at other sushi restaurants. The sushi was quite bland tho.

Hands down best Japanese food I have had. Every dish that came out was better than the next. Loved the Sashimi, so fresh and had unique flavours. Service was beautiful, so friendly and really hospitable. Highly, highly recommend this place. Located in Bondi and amazing for lunch or dinner.

The food was ok, but it wasn't amazing. The sushi rolls were small, I enjoyed my meal but probably won't ever come back here. There are definitely better Japanese places around ..

Came here after looking around Bondi for a nice Japanese restaurant we could dine at for dinner, this one took our fancy. Although we weren't greeted immediately and we basically sat ourselves at a table, the service was good and our meals came out quite fast. We ordered a Teriyaki Chicken main and a Bento Box which was quite good! Nice teriyaki flavour to the sauce but was sort of a bit rip off as the Teriyaki Chicken main didn't come with any rice - which we had to order separately. Other than that, was a slightly above average meal to fill the Japanese cravings we had on holiday.

Stopped in one random weekend night for a quick bite and it truly was quick. I think we were in and out of there in under 15 minutes. The place has an ok sushi train, though it wasn't the best quality sushi i had.

Place had next to no atmosphere and i felt like everyone else in there was doing exactly what we were doing--eating as fast as possible and then bailing.

Really good sushi at reasonable prices. I found the selection decent and the sushi quite well done. The vegetable gyoza were really good.

Tucked away in the quiet end of Gould street, Myoko is home to some to the freshest, tastiest sushi in the Eastern suburbs. The hand rolls are huge and you even have the option of having them made to order with brown or white rice. You can get prawn tempura, perfectly battered with avo, fresh or cooked tuna and teriyaki chicken. You can get two rolls for $10, and if you’re feeling adventurous I recommend forking out the extra $2 for a miso soup too.

Poor service, run by thai or viets who are constantly talking among themselves in the kitchen. Fish is not fresh, yucks!

Eat in only - Delivery unreliable. Decent food in store, perhaps a little over priced for the quality and lack of atmosphere, but I always mistakenly get sucked in by the convenience of the home delivery service; after waiting 2 hours for delivery again, I'm not confident that eating sushi that has been driving around the eastern suburbs in a car all night is a good idea and I won't be ordering from this sushi bar again.

The online site says 45 mins - 1 hour delivery, but when the food hasn't arrived after an hour and a half the same response is always given by the staff member answering the phone "the driver collected it 45 mins ago, it's on it's way". Unfortunately as my credit card has been charged, all I can do is wait and hope that the driver didn't have the heat up full in the car.

No apology from the management or staff in either instance, and when it is raised with the delivery driver he says "please complain to the store", as he only picked it up recently.

Next time I'll be popping up to Randwick to get takeaway from Sushi Fusion and be back home in the time it takes Myoko to realise that there is an online order to get out!

Good Japanese, although a little overpriced.... Nice Japanese, in a relaxed setting that feels a bit more than a cheap Sushi bar. It's not super fresh Japanese but still the quality is quite good. Feels a bit overpriced for a simple Japanese restaurant, but we are in Bondi...

Enjoy!
