Review Neighbourhood Bondi - Bondi

It's been a while but Neighborhood is still just as great as always. Great list of drinks, great jaffles and beat of all, the staff are still legends. It's dog friendly too. Longer visit required asap.

My new favourite bar in Sydney. Awesome atmosphere, banging drinks, simply perfect casual food. Have the Wrong Island Spiked Tea or the Wake Me Up Before you Coco. Best drinks you'll have in a long time.

The best Sunday roast I've ever had! We went there with our 2 kids (aged 8 & 10) early on a Sunday evening during happy hour. The kids loved the jaffles and we loved the roast beef with all the trimmings.

Nice burgers and good selection of drinks, very friendly staff, definitely will go back, thank you

Beware of this place if you’re gluten intolerant!!! I ordered the burger and I was assured the bun was gluten free when in fact it wasn’t… the staff just assured me it was a really good gluten free bun. My body told me differently… unless it was covered in crumbs from contamination…. They were super busy but it made me quite sick so keep this in mind if you have an allergy and avoid food here if you are celiac

Not my style. Very dark (need flash) and too rustic. The food was ok. It had a lot of flavours that were quite strong burger was very salty, the rice was sauced up.

Rather disappointing if you're not vegetarian - food looked nice, but steak wasn't made properly, portion was very small and having paid $30 I pretty much ledt the restaurant hungry. Vegetarian options ordered by my colleague looked better tho

I had a jaffle which is actually just a silly name for a toastie which is quite funny haha. Anyway, I went for a walk today and then had my 16th beer in Sydney

Incredible food & great vibe. There was a group of us down from Brisbane for the day & absolutely everything was on point and worth every cent. Highly recommend!

Yesterday I celebrated my 30th birthday at Neighbourhood Bondi. It was absolutely perfect. The staff were so so helpful, nothing was too much for them. They were extremely friendly. The bloody Mary's are in my opinion the best in Sydney, homemade tomato juice with a spicy kick. Nibbles were perfect too. I highly recommend this for parties, casual drinks, food! Thanks so much for your hospitality- expect more bookings from me and my friends

I had my birthday dinner at Neighbourhood a few weeks ago with a large group of friends. The staff were amazing, so lovely and so accomodating. The ambiance, food and drinks were also really great! We all had a fabulous night. A huge thanks to the neighbourhood team for making my birthday awesome! Would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking to have dinner with a group of people, these guys will really look after you!

Great venue with very friendly staff. Could do with a better craft beer list but other than that, great place for a drink with your mates.

The bloke who owns or runs the joint is very hospitable, very friendly and they make nice cocktails, as well as an Old Fashion. The meze plates are nice too.. good vibes all round. It's small and cozy - music is cool too.

Cracking night, great drinks and was well looked after by some lovely staff and can't wait to get back there sometime very soon !!! best food in Bondi !!!

Great decor, staff well trained and welcoming. I had a great cheese burger and a delicious cocktail. A wide range of drinks and food. Highly recommended. We will return.

Popped my red grape on their house Sangiovese. 10/10

Had lunch at here today, burger actually tasted quite good. Really bad value though, $22 for a small burger and shoe string fries. I suggest charging $15/16 and have a busy Sunday lunch rather than being half empty. Thanks

Is there a better place in Bondi, nay, Sydney, right now where you can get a meal that will feed your soul, a drink that will lift your spirits and banter with the crew that will make you feel like you're part of the family better than Neighbourhood. I think not. 5 stars xxxxx

Best service. Best food. Best drinks. Best everything.

Awesome place. Great food and cocktails.

The food is ok, nothing special, the environment is cool though! The staff is not so friendly...I wouldn’t come back unless they have a great special

Nice cosy restaurant with a lovely area behind the building. We ordered our free burgers through EatClub (Cheesy Royale Burger). Burger was nothing special - a bit dry and too small. We also had tortillas with extra sour cream and that costed $13. The chips were very large and awkward sized, but the snack was tasty. Toilet was also nicely decorated. Located very close to Bondi Beach!

Staff were friendly. Came here for the jaffles but was disappointed to know that their menu has changed since. Food was so-so. Wings were at most average. Ordered our steak medium rare but arrived medium.

The V Burger at Neighbourhood is delicious!!! I love the ambience of this place, it’s got a modern and rustic feelings. The service was great and the food was even better. It’s the best place to go after a hot day at the beach for a quick bite and a drink. They have a tasty Eggplant Salad and some finger licking shoestring fries.

Stopped in for a late lunch over the Easter long weekend and was pleasantly surprised. All staff were extremely nice and super attentive, which can be very rare in Bondi. We ordered the John Dory, special and Royale with cheese burger.<br/><br/>Fish was well battered & cooked, sauce made the dish. <br/>Burger bun was soft, good amount of sauce/mustard & chopped pickles, beef was cooked well done as requested. Only down side was it was a bit small for the $14 price tag with chips costing extra, but then again a lot of places are charging this much just for burgers.<br/><br/>Overall experience was great.

What a find this place was! Not only are they open Monday night but from 5-6 they have $2 oysters! Any place that has a cocktail menu and then a separate extra fancy cocktail menu has won me over! The menu is huge and has something for everyone including a selection of jaffles, small plates and larger meals. However Monday is $15 burgers and beer night so that is what we went for! And you would think with a special like that you would be stuck with the house larger but no it's an American atomic pale ale that pairs perfectly with a burger. My friend is vegetarian and she had their vego burger - tofu with satay sauce, jalapeño chutney, coleslaw and cheese. She loved it! The bar has an upmarket American diner feel and with a different special everyday we will be back

Really enjoyed dining here. Came here with my mum and sister on a Wednesday night (my family visit this place quite frequently) and couldn't complain. The dishes are simple but hearty (this was the first place I've visited with jaffles on the menu) and the cocktails were SO good! The waitress who served us was lovely and I look forward to coming back. Order the mandarin cocktail and if you get dessert MAKE SURE you order the secret garden- you will definitely not regret it!

Best bar in Bondi that has it all: great drinks, delicious food, staff that know what they are doing (chefs, bartenders, waiters), great vibe and nice outlet.<br/>My favorite are still their super yummy chicken wings.<br/>Thanks for some good nights!

Real fun with a great vibe- rosè's for days! And the beers pretty good too. Didn't eat there but the food looked epic. Service was good. Fan!
Katrina Rio
Was an absolutely fine experience until they accused my friends of being too intoxicated! And threatening of being one punch potential... We were a group of 6 girls and we hadn't even had a drink before then. Good luck to them!
Those Who Love To Eat
What's a Saturday without stopping into the neighbourhood for 'a' drink. Yes, so... This time it was actually just ONE drink. Heck, if you could only down one, you would obviously go for a cocktail ofcourse. I must say, their cocktail list was drool worthy! By that I meant, intersting names with intersting concoction! check out the 'Hood's Zombie' that explicitly states:<br/>**strictly one per customer** with this disclaimer, you know it's potent! Their spring cup was a great drink on a warm sunny Saturday afternoon in Bondi.<br/>Anyways, if you're in this neck of the wood, and feeling slightly thirsty, this place is a great pit stop to quench your thirst and a chillax

This place is great. The atmosphere is relaxed and its great for cocktails and unwinding. Make sure you order the potplant dessert - its freaking delicious and you wont be disappointed as you go through the layers.

“Let me spoil you a little babe ” weeknight date or the “I want to be seen with you” weekend date... The vibe differs depending on when you come here....Must order: The oregano and lime Split King Prawns and the Mahi Mahi are a favourite and make sure you get the donut balls with camaralised apple and cinnamon ice cream to share.

Right on trend, Neighbourhood’s exposed brick, speakeasy vibe had us from the start. The nods of approval from the other guests at its opening night confirmed what we were thinking. This place is an instant treasure. - See more at: http://mrandmrsromance.com/2013/08/friday-drinks-neighbourhood-restaurant-bar-and-radio-bondi-beach.html#sthash.DK6iwhIE.dpuf

The new kid on the block in the Bondi neighbourhood is, Neighbourhood. The team here are as trendy as they come and are making the good old fashioned jaffle sexy again, god bless them. You won’t find baked beans and spaghetti here though; combinations include pulled pork with BBQ sauce and baked beans and my favourite the Philly cheese steak. A party in your mouth for only $10… Winning!
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
“ Bondi needs more small bars ,” says Simon McGoram, former bar manager of Porteño , as we grab the last table in the house. Seems real estate is tough, so Neighbourhood has injected new life into an ailing community radio station. It’s working; people pile onto the pavement while next-door’s restaurant owners look on with envy. “ All of our cocktails are signature ,” says McGoram, which is ambitious, until you see the menu. I try the Caramel-Corn Old Fashioned ($18) with buttered-popcorn and bourbon; it’s bittersweet with salted caramel syrup lurking amongst the ice – and definitely one of a kind. Food is very Southern American meets Bondi, think Popcorn Cajun Prawns ($10) ... ...and Big Mamma’s Slaw ($8) alongside Sydney’s favourite bar snack, the jaffle. The Cheeseburger Jaffle ($10) , with shoestring fries (on the inside), is a truly tasty ‘burger’ that vegetarians can enjoy too. Chorizo Quesadillas ($19) seem popul

Reggae Breakfast, man. Lovely, lovely staff at Neighbourhood make this local worth a visit. It's chilled on the weekends for brunch and it's music choice makes it a top spot. While I found the breakfast / brunch menu full of the usual suspects & not particualrly appealling, if you were in the mood for an indulgent special, the creamed corn & bacon jaffles might hit the spot. It has a great atmosphere, reggae music on a Saturday morning turns the noise of a busy week right down and people watching from the bench style window seating with a chai tea is a treat.

Home of cocktails in Bondi. Easily the best cocktail bar in Bondi, great service, innovative list, reasonably priced, will be back

Amazing cocktails!. Love this place! Great homely decor, friendly staff and top-notch food and drink. The food is fab, a mixture of Aussie, South American and American (!) perfect for sharing and is served promptly. The tuna ceviche with prawn tortilla chips is superb and my friends go ga-ga for the beef cheeks! If you have a sweet tooth, do not go past the oreo cheesecake, it is served in a glass with the most amazing peanut brittle. The cocktail list is extensive and delicious, obviously a lot of thought has gone into the menu, they clearly know their stuff here! If you are looking for a conservative formal affair with traditional entree/main style dishes and stock-standard commonplace drinks, this is not for you, however if you want a great time with your friends over some inexpensive, fantastic food and imaginative cocktails, this is definitely the place to go and keep coming back to!

I was looking forward to visiting this bar as I had read some good reviews and wanted to go to a new place in my neighbourhood. My friends had warned me that I'd be dissappointed but I didn't want to believe them, unfortunately they were right. Not only is the service slow and the bar staff very unethused but the drinks list is over priced and leaves a lot to be desired. Please do not order the sav blanc! The name might sound good but I would recommend going to the local pub over this place, trust me!

I am pretty disappointed after my visit to neighbourhood. The surrounds were very nice but the service was slow and waitress seemed grumpy when we asked for anything. They didn't have enough menus left for our table when we asked for two more, they stuffed up our drinks order and didn't have two of the small list of mains. I ended up with a very poor pumpkin salad and my friends with terrible looking vege burgers. I would not go here again.

Came to get a coffee before volunteering at a festival this morning and it was such a nice experience. Relaxing good live music (great touch for a Sunday morning!), friendly staff, quick delicious coffee. Would definitely come back here again

Went for breakfast here and the service could have been a bit more attentive but the food was great. Recommend the white pudding.

Typically Bondi, hit this place on a Fri night, cool & relaxed bar staff with a 25-35 age group crowd & got quite busy. Tasty food deep fried Southern America vibe, will def be back!
