Review Paleo Cafe - Bondi

Conventional wisdom says, cheap, fast, good, pick any two. Paleo Cafe isn't interested in conventional, and picks good three times. Good service, good food, good for you. The friendly staff provide excellent service, and whilst the prices aren't cheap, they're entirely reasonable for the excellent quality, and generous servings. Even our kids enjoyed the Paleo options they provide.

I had high hopes for this place being the newest paleo-friendly cafe in the area but sadly i was not impressed. The food looks appealing and exciting on the menu but when it comes out it looks a bit like fast food, especially the zucchini fritters which taste like nothing. I also grabbed a takeaway bircher cup and it took about 20 minutes to come and it was tiny and not worth the price. The only good thing about this place is that they offer paleo-friendly products such as coconut ice cream, paleo bread, flour that you can grab and go.

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING. They served food that you will never eat otherwise but advertising it as paleo, people are more curious and willing to eat it. I have just tried a raw coconut slice. Quite expensive first of all. Secondly, I could not eat it. Even with a knife, you could not cut it. I pointed that out to the waitress and she said that Maybe I would have needed to wait a couple of hours before eating it. This is just ridiculous. I was having my breakfasts and if I want to buy stuff to eat them later I go to the supermarket not to a cafe. Horrible food, terrible service.

The food is good. It's paleo. It's delicious! You are what you eat... Need I say more?! (I will anyway!) The bircher museli is delicious, and well completed by my (organic) long black. The prices are very competitive, but be prepared to fight for a seat if you're there for breakky on the weekend. There are Paleo Cafés in Cairns, Brisbane and on the Mornington Penninsula too. And word is that soon there'll be one in Albury too! Hooray!

Disappointed only in that I have found better paleo options at non-paleo cafes/restaurants (indeed, sometime the best paleo option at such places is not actually identified as paleo on the menu). The meals were fast and fresh and they were happy to swop out one ingredient in my partner's dish. Beverages are amazing - try the matcha!. Avoid the coconut milk for your coffee - coconut cream works much better in coffee than coconut milk.

Good and healthy food, nice service. To be honest though, I liked the previous version of the "pulled pork" dish when it was with side sweet potatoes. The new version with tortillas is not as great.

The lamb shank was great and the size of the meal was more than enough and the price was perfect. Lots of other things on yhe menu i'd like to try.

Lovely and friendly staff. The cavemens breakfast was delicious. Thumbs up for the crispy bacon! Will most certainly be back!
