Review La Maison De L'eclair - Bondi

I have been a customer now with la Maison de eclair and Croquebouche Patisserie for many years. They have the most delicious breakfast food in town with beautiful French touch ... very delicious and very clean food all freshly baked bread and croissants..super delicious eclairs and definitely the best coffee! the staff are very friendly and makes you feel like you are at home. I have recently started using them for functions and catering for events they have proved themselves again. Very professional and delivering even on weekends was never an issue right on time. The sandwiches and salads were just amazing and super fresh. Mayliss and Laurence are amazing and I can’t recommend them enough if you are planning for big occasions and events. This is to whom who enjoy their food and specially French cuisine.

This little cafe has delicious authentic french treats! the idea of re-creating perfect snack memories from childhood works! it's yum. The french family staff helped find the perfect crepe for our hunger and are warm, friendly and generous. Highly recommended!

We found ourselves in Bondi on a gorgeous sunny afternoon and having recently seen a feature on this place on Sydney Weekender thought we would take the kids for lunch. The cafe is sparkly clean, the counter display was amazing and the staff were very friendly & helpful. I had a savoury eclair, my daughter a ham & cheese croissant and dad & son had the special "pulled pork on sourdough with salsa and a fried egg" - incredible! Afterwards there was just enough room for some of the amazing sweet eclairs and they were in two different sizes - my recommendation is the salted caramel but the children loved the lemon meringue. Delicious!

Very French cosmopolitan cafe. Food and staff are excellent atmosphere also in the high good. Recommend to everyone that is after Breakfast, Morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea! Friendly staff and will come back again- feels like little France tucked in Botany.

Been hearing good feedbacks and reading reviews about how good the place is. After three weeks, I finally gave in and travelled 1 hour to be greeted with disappointment. Friendly staffs - not exactly or maybe it’s just one of those days for the staffs, feeling tired and exhausted. Over-rated, definitely yes. Ordered a double espresso, tasted like expired soy sauce. Not a coffee connoiseur but yes, it was that bad. Ordered an eclair, tiramisu and that roulade with salted caramel. Eclair - honestly nothing special so i don’t understand the rave. Tiramisu - descent portion but not worth the trip, there are better ones elsewhere. Salted caramel - Saltier than the dead sea. The food cabinet where the croissants were stored at was not closed properly and I waited for when the staffs comes to realize. Unfortunately nothing happened after sitting in there for 15 so minutes. As a chef myself, I know how hard we chefs/ cooks work to serve food to our customers. The only reason I give two stars is because of the tiramisu and the hard work chefs put into preparing all the food.

Little mouthfuls of sweetness and beauty, that is what you can expect to find at this lovely little cafe. The food is as good as it looks and the staff are the friendliest ever. One of the best French exports to have hit the eastern suburbs. We will be back often.

I came with my buddy in the morning and tried a French Crepe called La Botany. It tastes good. Although I am not familiar with French cuisine, I will try more french food after enjoying my breakfast here this morning.

YES!! Yes all round! This place looks absolutely amaaaazzinnnggg..! There's a huge counter of delectable eclairs that are just heaven on the eyes. I had a hard time deciding which one I wanted! Macarons are so last season. Eclairs are where it's at. Actually, I never fancied macarons; never understood the hype. Eclairs, however, are a whole different story. I've always been a fan! There's a bus stop right across the road from it that you can catch from Bondi Junction Train station, but since we were going to be gorging on these we decided to walk the 20 minutes to the store! Pre-emptively burn off those calories because once you're inside you won't remember you're on a diet! Also, don't have lunch or breakfast before you go!!! They have breakfast/lunch sets where there's omelettes and savoury eclairs! Get the mini eclairs instead of the large ones so you can try more flavours. Om nom nom nom. Stop reading these reviews and go eat some eclairs. Also, take me with you!
