Review Vida - Bondi

Jerry Soer
It's a surf shop, coffee shop, smoothie shop. Pretty pricey smoothies at $10 but hey it's Bondi. Really delicious. Great stopover on the way to the beach. Nice open air set up and on the corner of Curlewis and Gould st. Literally one block from the beach and diagonally across from Drake Eatery. I recommend the Very Berry smoothie, mixed berries mango almond butter and macadamias.

They serve a very nice Açaí bowl in a nice and relaxing set up. The bowl is tasty and filled with extra goodies. One thing though is the staffs are quite unfriendly, which is surprising judging from everything this shop is set up to portray. It can be quite a put off for some people walking into the shop expecting a friendly environment and face this group of super unfriendly staffs that couldn’t even bother to serve you. If you are happy to overlook that I highly recommend this place for a nice healthy meal.

It’s a surf shop AND a foodbar. Little range of cool surf clothing and surfboards. Had a smoothie over here and very yummy! A bit expensive but that’s what you get at Bondi. Friendly staff. Will come again!

This is the perfect place to grab coffee and breakfast in Bondi. It's location is ideal and the staff are all incredibly friendly. Plus, once you've finished your delicious coffee you can rent/buy a board and hit the beach!

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this place but the bowls are delicious. Casual vibes and great for a healthy breakfast in Bondi.

Cool shop with a variety of tshirts and surfing equipment. Cafe was also delicious and their peanut butter protein bowl was amazing.

I come here to work often as I really like the vibe. I was quite surprised to read all the reviews. The acai and other smoothis bowls are really very good and are of a generous size. The coffee is decent too. I've never come at the weekend, so maybe the service is not as good then... but they have always been friendly to me! Highly recommend as a place to work/eat/catch-up with friends.

I've always wanted to come and check this place out, it looks community minded, cool and vibrant from the outside. So, I took my fiance and a friend here for breakfast this morning. As I was ordering, the manager (American bloke) came and interrupted me whilst I was ordering to yell at the cashier about not serving up boiled eggs like porch and parlour do and then looked at me as if I was the one wanting boiled eggs (I didn't want boiled eggs and if you have to give feedback to staff, pull them away and speak with them privately. Completely unprofessional). The two others got their meals.... And finished them, and our orange juice, acai smoothie or my meal were no where to be seen. I asked how long and they said soon, 5 minutes passed and we got our drinks (slammed on the table) the and they said another 7 minutes on my breakfast. It was way too late by this stage so I asked for a refund and I got a bacon and egg roll elsewhere. They treated us like horribly from start to end, they treated us like horribly when we raised concerns and there was zero conflict resolution. Moral of the story, you may be busy, you may be stressed, you may be grumpy... But if you're a customer service establishment.... Act like one. Let your customers know the realistic wait times, show attentive care and understanding, don't be rude... You've turned an experience that I was so stoked on, into literally the worst cafe experience I've had in my life.

Super rogue

I left two of my children's sufer boards in November 2017 to be sold on consignment.
The boards were sold and Vida Surf NEVER NEVER paid me the boards and disappeared with my money!
CAUTION!!! NOT TO BE FOOLED

Located a street off of Bondi, after a day at the beach Vida Surf is so refreshing! I tried the not so green bowl which was absolutely delicious! Don’t let the green fool you, all you can taste is the fresh banana and nut butter, (match made in heaven!)
I’ve been here a few times because of the proximity to the beach and it never disappoints!
Whether it’s a sweet smoothie bowl or savoury the food is always delicious, decent space with a lot of light, Genga blocks to play with on the table.... the list goes on! I always leave with a smile

This cafe has an amazing beachy vibe to it and a ton of vegan options. We ordered the brazilian cheese bread, vegan waffles, eggs benedict and mango bowl. Trust me, the portions here are huge. It was all super delicious and the service average. I'll definitely come back for those waffles again

Acai bowls are tasty with generous servings & pretty decent sizes, especially considering being in central Bondi (I recommend adding PB to your bowl for extra delicious-ness). The service can be a bit dismissive & there is limited seating which can be an issue due to the cafe being in such a popular location

The food here is amazing but the staff and service are absolutely terrible! Racist & discriminatory 😠
This used to be my absolute go to in Bondi & would travel across Sydney just to get an açai fix
I usually go for take-away but I thought it would be nice to eat in and catch up with my friend, especially as it the cafe didn’t have any customers at the time. We ordered and sat down and not long after my friends order of an açai bowl came. However for my vegan breaky bowl, I waited over an hour.. I saw customers who had ordered after me receive their hot food orders and I was still waiting.. after around 45 mins, I approached a member of staff to ask about my order as it was a pretty ridiculous time to await for a bowl that was premade where they either just had to get reheated or plated. She rudely replied that she was “currently making it” and so I went to sit back down and wait a little longer. As I was sitting down I could see the server whom I had asked about my order mockingly pull faces at me and imitate me to her other coworkers. This made me feel so self conscious & terrible about myself, my looks, my race & I think that if I were Caucasian, it would never of happened to me.. I honestly think that I can no longer go here.. Sorry Vida but you’ve lost yourself a loyal customer.

although presentation was nice, there was too much of the toppings and too little smoothie bowl.. the smoothie bowl itself was a bit overpriced for what you got compared to other places :/

A really super cute vibe .. very touristy which is fun.. not really a local Bondi vibe though.. very busy too which is positive for them.. Lively backpacker staff ... Great for tween crowd 🍭

this place is tucked away on Curlewis St, and has a beachy, reggae vibe to it. It is also a surf shop that stocks surfboards and surf wear. There are a range of raw treats and baked goods in the front. I ordered the vegan brekkie which was a massive serving and was absolutely delicious! The dips were so flavoursome, and the kale had a nice salty flavour. The chickpeas had a lovely smokey sauce, and the tofu scramble had quinoa within it. The service was not the best but I was very pleased with my food.

I got the breakfast bowl and it was $18 for literally a bite sized amount which was bland, nice staff & a cool vibe but the food is mediocre at best.

Everyone was happy with their food and in comparison to every other place around bondi it is way more cheaper around 11-15$ instead of over 20$. One of my friend is a barrista and she like that coffee very much. We ordered benedikt breakfast18$, wraps 12$ and acai bowl 14$.

Good location, not crowded, decent price, enough space for ourself, nice staff

Stylish and delicious 😋 This well suited cafe for Bondi was hip and offered excellent coffee ☕️ The açai bowls seemed to be popular, so will have to go back to give them a go,but my eggs and avo did the trick and was just what I felt like. Good place to hang out on your own with a good book .

Disappointed they had run out of the dish I wanted at 10am on a Saturday...however the acai bowl I had was delicious. Extra $1.50 for extra granola and $1 for peanut butter. $16.50 for the acai bowl. Very busy and quite loud between blenders, customers and shoppers. The granola used in the dish was the standout!

Super refreshing and generous size bowls.
Be prepared to be very full afterwards.
Only disappointment was that the extra peanut butter we payed for was highly processed and we expected it to be a healthy unprocessed peanut butter based on their branding, but admitingly we should've asked. Still delicious as a whole!

Great vibe and friendliest service in Bondi. You'll get to know the amazing team by name and feel like no matter how busy they are, there's time for a rocking Acai bowl; kickass coffee or all around great food - always served up with a small and some Brazilian flair.

Great relaxed vibe. Good coffee, friendly and prompt service, and delicious food! Took my kids here and there was plenty of room for them to play...even a Jenga game to play! Wouldn't hesitate to go back....

I was just walking around this morning trying to find a place that was open to have a late brekky and I saw the cafe across the street. I wanted something light so I ordered the bacon and egg roll and hot chocolate. The bread was so light and fluffy and airy it was perfect. The egg was perfectly cooked just the way I like it. As for the hot chocolate, not so much, it wasn't hot at all, a little bland and I had to add sugar to it so it could taste at least a bit chocolatey. Nevertheless, staff was friendly.

Awesome mellow vibe, decor is earthy and beachy, and great fresh delicious foods. Vegan options.
I had the protein smoothie bowl and it was in a coconut shell bowl which I loved

Best acai bowls, awesome hipster/surfer vibe. Cute little local cafe close to the beach. I'm a big fan and have been back many times! I definitely recommend
