Review The Bondi Bach Cafe - Bondi

Great Israeli food served here incl. falafel, hummus and salads. Fresh and tasty selection of food in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. We’ll worth a visit if in Bondi Beach. On a nice day you can sit outside and watch the world go by.

Absolutely delicious! Big breakfast was on point and we'll priced. Coffee was perfect. Only sun drenched seating we could find on the street and it ended up being a place that I will definitely return to. Sammy was so friendly and provided great service! And Buddy Franklin is just a few tables over 😯

Visited this lovely little café this morning for brunch. We were greeted by a friendly staff member when we entered. We ordered the $22 shakshuka and the $14 bacon and egg sandwich. We also ordered two English breakfast teas which were served in large pots. We ordered and paid at the counter. The food came out quickly. The shakshuka was served in the pan and came with two slices of toasted sourdough and hummus which was useful for dipping into the rich shakshuka sauce. We enjoyed our meals and will return in the future.

I loved the cosy breakfast we shared here - Israeli Bowl & Shakshuka were great, only wish we'd been able to try the Hot Porridge which sounded great too!

Replying to owners comments below: Hi! The staff were lovely, the place was great and the coffee was good. The main negative was that we were only a table of two, and there was one other table of 5 but we waited 45 mins after ordering for our food to come. The other negative was that I ordered the Shakshuka and my girlfriend ordered the bacon and egg sandwich, and with both the eggs were really over cooked (ie a rock hard yolk) - unsure if this was intentional but we didn’t think so and it really took away from the (other wise lovely) meals. If this was intentional, it may be better to give guests a choice if they want runny or hard eggs - in any event it was a disappointment after the very long wait.

We went there for dinner, the food was amazing, brought me back to Tel Aviv! The service was also top! Liran and Aaron are the perfect duo. Can't recommend enough. My new favorite!

That's where we go for a nice shakshuka breakfast , they also have a vegan option with a the nicest hummus I have ever tasted.

Amazing food and coffee (I had the shakshuka with feta and a chai latte) - really friendly and lovely staff. Will definitely be back!

Overcharged!
Yet another cafe with hit and miss charges for a simple iced latte. Not the one with cream etc, just a latte with cold, not hot milk and a few cubes of ice!

Today when I asked why I was paying an extra $1.50 ($5.00 total) for my iced latte he said;

* it was because there was extra milk in it (my keep cup is a regular size so no room for more milk?

* it takes labour to get the ice.... what about the lack of labour & electricity NOT heating up milk?

Yet another cafe to strike off the list just because I can't drink hot drinks.

A small Bondi cafe delivering big flavours in the Shakshuka which you can also order as a share dish for two. Four eggs are nestled in a rich, flavoursome tomato sauce and served with a side of hommus and toast for a satisfying brunch.

Great place in Bondi with a wonderful vibe. Quick service, good coffee and the best salads. Friendly service and well worth eating at. Highly recommended.

Visited Lyfe cafe in Bondi for brunch on a sunny Saturday. The cafe was reasonably busy, we were greeted and seated by the the owner who was a real character, quite funny and welcoming. Coffee and shakshukas ordered all around. The coffee was decent and the shaks were tasty. The sauce was thick with a bit of spice and the portions substantial. Worth a visit if you are looking for a decent coffee and shakshuka.

ha, somehow the atmophere, the kitchen, the dress codes of the waiters and waitress(only one) shows that this is an Israeli style cafe. there is an air in here that something is unintentionally chaotic, but somehow all works out fine. the food is also very israeli mama cooking style, comfortable and happy to eat. the host was funny. he kept asking where was my other half before sitting me down. there was a long queque on the new year's day so i guess he wanted to make sure that i really have another half to join me-:). my husband asked him about the tahini. he told him where to get it. i was amazed by this as i was expecting him to say this is trade secret-:).

Lyfe cafe has an Israeli style menu with a variety of gourmet sandwiches, salads and mezze plates. I highly recommend the shakshuka which is cooked in a spicy tomato, onion, capsicum and chilli sauce and is served with bread and hunmus on the side. The hummus and daily made fresh bread is something you cannot go without! Next time I'm certainly trying one of the gourmet sandwiches including the zaatar chicken or the pastrami.

One of my top spots in Bondi! The owner is such a legend, truly makes you feel welcome and well looked after hence his large group of regulars. Food is amazing, he keeps the menu small and the flavors true and powerful. Great for brunch in Bondi.
