Review Ninety Nine Thai - Bondi

Cute family owned restaurant. Very well priced with large portions and the young waiter was very nice and friendly. The food came out very quick and was the best Thai food we’ve every had. You will leave the restaurant a whole NEW person. Been there a few times now and it never disappoints. It is now my go to local Thai.

Elle is an amazing host very professional & great sense of humour. Friendly beyond most Thai restaurants in my experience. Delicious food and comes out very quick. Very generous servings & lovely service. Strongly recommend!

Apart from the tofu that did not have a very pleasant flavour, our two mains were very good. The heaven duck was really tasty and so to was the yellow curry that comes with chicken only. Neither of these dishes were very spicy so should suite people who don't eat spicy food. One problem with the restaurant is that it is cash only and like most people who don't carry a lot of money, we didn't have enough to buy any desserts, so ended up getting desserts elsewhere.

I used to go there quite often and I was never disappointed but lately the quality got worse. The soft shell crab was extremely spicy, very difficult to eat for me that I usually like spicy dishes. The chicken and shrimps noodles instead were ok but a bit watery and with not enough meat and veggies but just lots of noodles. Considering what you will pay for a dish here, I don’t think I will be back.

Delicious Thai from a beautiful family restaurant! So happy to have found a local go-to. Highly recommend

Decent Thai on Bondi road. The highlight for me was the banana sticky rice. Tasted exactly like the banana rice tools I ate in Thailand in the 80’s. Yum.

Great service! The restaurant owner is so friendly and always recognises and greets the regulars. However, the portion is quite small compared to some other Thai restaurants in the area. The menu is also not as diverse. Great for takeout if you live in the area, do not recommend sit down.

This is our local. Everything on the menu is delicious but the Mussamum lamb shank is a must and all of the chef's specials are all top notch.

Never have I ordered takeout from a restaurant and thrown it all in the trash without even eating it, until today. We ordered a few dishes which included a chicken chilli with cashews, pad thai and satays. The chicken chilli was sitting in an entire container of oil. The pad thai, a hard dish to get wrong, consisted of little more than dry tasteless noodles and the satays were so unpleasant looking they never even left the container. The entire order unfortunately ended up in our rubbish about ten minutes after it arrived. Do yourself a favour and run ninety nine miles before even thinking about ordering food from this so-called restaurant. If I could rate this a zero I certainly would.

This is the worst Thai food I have ever had!!! Avoid it at all costs!!! I would be embarrassed to call myself Thai serving this food up!!! Yuck!!!

Honestly?.... Quite average. Nothing particularly nice about the food, adequate flavour, but otherwise nothing special.

The menu is very affordable, with a vast selection different stir fries and soups.

The food is a little disappointing...overly salty and over-cooked. The flavour is there but doesn't really taste authentic, I suspect a lot of MSG accounts for this.

This is probably one of the sub-par Thai restaurants of the Eastern Suburbs, there are many cheaper and better options available.

Awesome... Been meaning to go here for a while and all I can say what a shame I didn't go sooner. Food was amazing. We had the tasting plate to star, Pork and Duck mains and coconut rice.. YUM.. I can't believe there are bad reviews on here. The ladies were really friendly the food came out fresh and fast and full of flavor.. We'll go back weekly only live across the road and at $55 for two with BYO it was an absolute bargain. thanks :)

Poor quality thai. Thai had quite a lot more vegetables then meat, sauce has no consistency to it, really runny like soup, I ordered curry , chicken cashew and tom yum prawn soup. The soup had a very thick layer of oil on top leaving my mouth very oily after each mouthful , the prawns. Were very over cooked as of they'd been cooked several days ago and nuked in the microwave and the chicken I had in my curry was also very chewy and tasted days old.
Overall this is the worst Thai Iv ever had, the quality was below restaurant standards do not eat there

Poor Form on multiple occasions. Steer clear of this place guys, it is:
- Expensive
- Rude staff
- Dishes with little to no substance and poor flavor
It's is a convenient location but ill never go back.

Best Thai we have had in Sydney, friendly staff and food is great. Went there for my 30th birthday with a group of 16 people and everyone loved it.

Favourite Thai in Syndey. Probably the best Thai I've had in Sydney. It's unusual in that the food is great for eat-in and as a take-away. We've eaten here a few times and the service has always been wonderful, friendly and helpful. It's also great value as the portions are large. We've ordered take-away for large numbers before and everything ordered was there and superb. I recommend the laksa and duck dishes. Even hubby, who isn't a fan of spicy food, enjoys the share starters and rice dishes.

Good value. Above average Thai food that is reasonably priced. Stand outs are Heavenly Duck and crispy pork belly. Friendly staff and quick delivery when ordering in. This is our go to Thai option for this area (Bondi Rd & jct).

Great service. Large portion sizes. Out of our group of 4, 3 were very happy with their chosen meal (1 person found the pad Thai sauce too sweet). Would come again though!

Great choice. Table booking 8pm on a Saturday night. Restaurant was almost full when we arrived. Our first time. Great night! Food was excellent. Staff were very polite. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back!
