Amazing atmosphere! Cheap pints, friendly staff and clientele plus the live music was fantastic!!! A good night was had by all.

Nice place, good music and cheap food. Not the cheapest but decent food for the price. The beer is cold and the environment is warm.

Great for Thursday nights!!! There is free steak if you buy a drink. The music is great on the weekends and its a perfect for a relaxing drink after work. The staff are friendly and it has a real Irish feel to it.

The bar had a nice atmosphere and the food was pretty decent the ladies behind the bar seemed really happy to help ( one in particular, not sure on the name) The accommodation was bunk beds. I arrived and had sand on my bed. The building is really outdated and old and there is mould on the bathroom ceiling and there are holes in the ceiling with pipes sticking out. In the bathroom there was hair all over the shower. Its cheap for a room but if stayed in cheaper and better accommodation. The manager needs to spend less times on the parties and the bar and more time on fixing up the accommodation as it is in serious need of refurbishment

Visit, but don't stay! The pub was lively, and the food was delicious, but the hostel upstairs was appalling. This was by far the worst hostel I've ever stayed at. Even at $25 a night this place is overpriced. There were no pillows and no blankets provided. That was only the beginning. Our dorm mates had been living in our room for months, and it was destroyed. The other rooms we saw were just as bad. The bathrooms were hardly functional and hadn't been cleaned in a long time (ever?). Everything was dirty and dilapidated. It might sound like I'm being dramatic, but I'm very low maintenance. I can only refer you to the pictures I was compelled to take. Check out my pictures and realize that it's actually much, much worse. On a side note, management was very friendly and I think they were even fed up with how bad it was, but the owner isn't willing to put in the effort to run an acceptable hostel. You have been warned!! But, stop by for the chili mussels and a Guiness before continuing on to your alternative accommodation.

Alright, I only stopped in for a quick drink before seeing my solicitor (and no, quick drinking was not the reason I needed to see my solicitor). It was the middle of a weekday afternoon, so it was very quiet inside. It seemed large and dim, with dark wood. Terribly Irish. So I had a snort of Bushmills, neat. I'm sure it'd be a good place for a boozy night out.

Would highly recommend the cock n bull as best Irish bar in around Sydney! Steak and chips on a Monday with a schooner was only $12 incredible food brilliant service and chips to die for, great services and prices nowhere could beat!

The Sunday Carvery for $15 is definitely great value for money. Choice of ham or beef. I went with beef. The meat was tender, a few fatty bits but that's needed for flavour. The serving comes with a huge serving of mash potatoes, pees, broccoli, carrots, potatoes and a yorkshire pudding. The plate then gets smuthered in gravy. A bit too much gravy for my liking but it is delicious. Can definitely recommend. πŸ‘πŸ»

It was relatively calm inside, and for 15 bucks you could get rump steak or fish and chips. I went with the fish and chips and a Guinness. The portion size was pretty magnificent compared to what I'm used to.

I went in a few times over the years; it’s patronised almost entirely by homesick Irish backpackers. Once I went in when there was a band playing, and I realised they were singing an IRA anthem. I left before they started passing the hat for the Provos.

Just when I thought a $2 steak from the Beach Palace Hotel in Coogee was the beez neez of all cheap steaks around I find out from a reader comment by Gobsmack'd that this Irish pub also does them for the same price on Saturdays. The steak might only be 25

$1 rip off. The steak you get for a $1 is great. The side you get for $2, good. The sauce you get for $1.50, not too bad. The selection of drinks they have on offer is okay. The total bill is not okay. Both times I have been overcharged. First time I thought nothing of it, maybe she'd ordered extra side for me by accident...she hadn't. Second time I challenged it and was told 'that's how much it cost'...then she give me SOME of my change back that I was owed. Strange, so it doesn't cost that much then, make your mind up love. Each time was only a few dollars, no big deal and still the overall cost was so cheap for the food you get. Just annoying these rude, arrogant members of staff are overcharging and I can't help but feel there's something a little fishy about it

Decent food at a good price however the portions tend to be a little small.

Went to this up last Sunday for a drink. Good Irish atmosphere, staff are friendly and the food was good (we had the potato skin with cheese and mince meat a snack which I would recommend).
