Review Onesta Cucina - Bowral

A great eating experience. The food was sensational. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and helpful with our orders. The scallops as an entree were delicious. We were told there would be a wait for the lasagna which we ordered and the other pasta dish. The lasagna was nice but could've used more herbs; the other pasta was superb. The decor was nice too. The only blip for the evening was paying. We waited a few minutes as one of the workers was preoccupied with the computer. Once we finally got his attention, he was abrupt and dismissive. The EFTPOS machine was extremely slow and didn't work a couple of times. Once it did work he pretty much turned away and left us to leave on our own. An unfortunate end to an otherwise pleasant evening.

Whilst down in the Southern Highlands, we dined at Onesta Cucina. The family owned and operated fully restaurant is large, and chatter of the guests made it feel very homely. We visited with my family and small baby, and we found it a welcoming place. The food is wonderful, high quality Italian food with a good range of options from pasta to slow cooked meats and more. We tried a steak, the confit duck, pork belly and a pasta. The food was all presented beautifully too. We loved it! Can we recommend ordering a side of the delicious peas with pancetta and polenta fries. Service was exceptional and food was served in a timely fashion.

Very cosy restaurant with a good vibe. Good service. I highly recommend the pasta dishes. We had the rigatoni and pumpkin rotolo which was excellent!! The crumbed pork was good but the polenta chips were very hard and we could not eat them.

First time visiting Onesta and will definitely not be the last. The food was absolutely delicious. We chose the scallops and calamari to start and then I chose the risotto which was perfectly creamy and a great portion size. Husband chose the barramundi. All the food arrived in a timely manner and was utterly delicious. Despite obviously being short staffed, the staff were friendly, helpful and easy to chat too. Looking forward to visiting hopefully next week!

An absolutely wonderful meal. We had a beautiful window table, the service was professional yet personable and very knowledgeable. The menu was exciting to read and the dishes prepared that we selected were absolutely delicious, very memorable. We would highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely re book when visiting Bowral next.

We enjoyed beautiful food and great customer service at Onesta Cucina. Within minutes we settled into the little restaurant that was full of chatter & laughter. It was really nice seeing tables of people enjoying dinning out again & the wait staff interacting so much. A great little find for our dinner & my husband felt special with a complimentary limoncello for his birthday.

My partner and I had a great dinner to celebrate our engagement. The food was excellent, the staff were lovely and they provided everything we need. I can confidently recommend Onesta and we'll definitely be back.

Pretty good wait staff and bustling, slightly glamorous ambiance Food is a bit pricey for what it is, but that still leaves room for it being quite good food and ingredients. Bathroom needs some work, partially because it is quite cold. Some plants, or an end table with dried flowers on it could be nice to enhance the vibe. It sounds a bit pedantic, but bathrooms are an component of the experience in a restaurant. They need to measure up. The end to end food experience 😄
