We enjoyed our yum cha brunch today at Box Hills Golden Lily Restaurant. Like much of Box Hill at the moment, it was less busy than I have experienced in the past but that meant for a more relaxed experience and us not being shoved out the door. There was a good variety of dishes but we seemed to notice a lot more fried carts heading in our direction when it was steams we were after. The staff were attentive and friendly and got us requested dishes for the kids and congee for the late riser. Overall enjoyable but a more expensive yum cha experience than usual and oddly no one returned our change after we paid the bill... under $5 but would have been nice to at least have had the option to take it or leave it.
Love the interior of this place! Great place to have yum cha and enjoy the view from the Chen. Very rare is there a yum cha place with the great interior they have. Food is quite decent as well. Little bit pricey compared to the norm but not too bad given the location and aesthetic
Very clean, lovely staff. Slightly more expensive than the average yumcha but you pay for what you get. The stuff is fresh and tasty!
Came here for dinner with the family (about 15 of us), only driven past this place but never thought that there was a good Chinese restaurant here.
Decorations were nice & just reminded me of being in a high-ish end restaurant in China.
The parents order a variety of dishes like a normal Chinese meal. This consists of roast meats, chicken, seafood hotpot, veggies, fish & other Chinese dishes.
Most noteworthy is the chicken, very tender & tasty. Also the fish (even though fried) was very good.
The roast meats on the other hand were a bit of a miss, other places in Box Hill do it much better.
They also have a fruit platter (oranges & watermelon) & Chinese green bean sweet soup for dessert as a complementary dish.
Overall a 4.2/5, recommend this place for some good Chinese food for a family gathering.

Staff are friendly!! Although it will be better if the waiters are slightly more attentive.
The flavours are just right, not too flavoursome like some other places. I don’t know why but I feel like the taste is better and better each time I go! Compared to the first time I’ve been.

Nice setting and decorations, friendly staff with some specialty. Mango pancake and the purple rice wrap with prawn and veggies are a must. Please make sure to pre order if making any booking.
Went there for yum Cha with family . I would say this is one of the best yum Cha place in Melb with great service and a good selections of dim sums . Very nice decor too and seatings are very comfortable unlike other cramping yum Cha restaurants. Will definitely come back for yum Cha again ...
Is so tasty 👍🏻 i wondering why the google review is under 4. Service is good but maybe a bit slow due to staff shortage, please be patient to this. But what i can recommend is, their food is so so so so tasty then other Yum Cha . You should try it, you wont regret.
Excellent service
Well priced for the quality and atmosphere. We loved every dish especially the prawn salad dish 🤤🤤🤤 we couldn’t wait to dig in so didn’t get a great shot of the food but trust me presentation was 100%!

Very fresh and delicious dim sum especially the xo white radish cake everything’s is perfect the service also very good as them always keep checking our tea pot got water or not… this will be my favourite dim sum place

Located inside the new Chen Hotel, Golden Lily was a delightful find. Great food, service and ambience. We dined in the private dining rooms which gave us some privacy with our own friends that I enjoyed. I would definitely come back again, particularly for live seafood.
