Review Pizza Works - Box Hill

Banksy’s Kitchen
I love their gluten free Americana pizza salami was spicy and delicious 5stars Haven’t had a pizza for a while but tonight the salami was different Not Spicy and tasted more like a processed sausage If so please change back The original salami was awesome

The pizzas always great. My regular pizza joint. UPDATE: I think there may of been an ownership change. The new lady who’s taken my last 2 orders over the phone has struggled to take my order & gotten it wrong both times. Will give one more chance before moving onto a new pizza store. (Sorry) Latest Update: Ordering over the phone is just too hard now. The pizzas are still great so if you can go in or order online you can get around it. 5 stars for the pizza and 2 for the service = 3 stars. FINAL UPDATE: Under the new management they have removed their federation with Menu Log. I’m done.

Ordered dinner 6.10 which said will be able to pick up in 20 min. Went to pick up 35min later only to tell me I haven't ordered from them! Upon constantly saying no I did order they checked the system only to find my order there at 6.10 still in the system. No apology whatsoever. Said can make it now if I want! Never going there again. Bye!

Without a doubt, the best pizza in Box Hill!! Great family business and much appreciated.

Pretty good and have been eating there for a few years. Not the best half/half pizza though so room to improve on with new staff.

Good tasty pizza! No complaints!!

Fantastic customer service, especially the young Indian Chap who serve us, very attentive and helpful. I hope you can preserve this positive and professionalism no matter where you work with in future (we need more people like you in the society!). There's a little dinning area in the restaurant if you choose to eat there. Friendly customer service Nice pizza, I really enjoy it. However lasagna is too watery.

Great pizza including gluten freebases. Always good quality - assuming you can make your order understood over the phone

We had the prosciutto pizza. High hopes. No balsamic drizzle at all (as was promised) and little to no rocket or fresh Parmesan. The tandoori pizza was meant to come with tzatziki, but clearly it was just Greek yoghurt. Very disappointing

Found this pizza place by chance and was pleasantly surprised! The prawn pizza was a great hit with the family!

New to the area so currently searching for a good pizza place. We tried 'The Works' pizza. Crust was nice and thin, cooked perfectly. There was just the right amount of toppings on there. Definitely a contender to be our regular pizza joint.

Love this place, and regularly buy from here. Food is fantastic but little annoyed when ordering with menu log as after you put in your order and want delivery, they send an sms saying it'll be anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours before it will arrive. I've ignored this and know it'll take only 20 minutes as they're just around the corner but it is frustrating knowing how far off the delivery time is.
I regularly order chocolate mouse too, which is amazingly delicious. Sometimes when in store, there is rarely chocolate mousse in the fridge, thawed, and ready to go. When buying from store or ordering online, please note that it may be frozen. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that but it isn't really chocolate mousse if it is. This is annoying but still easy to think of it as chocolate mousse-flavoured ice cream.

I would give a 5 star rating for this but as this issues are a reoccurring problem, I'm unable to.

Would definitely recommend this pizza shop, however :)

Great place!
Reasonably priced pizzas! Ordered four larges and got a garlic bread thrown in as well. Service was lovely! Also for their price point tasted great! Pizza places can be hit and miss but this place definitely a hit

Ordered the chicken Parma , chips , garden salad and gnocchi calabrese....
Chicken Parma was literally all soggy crumbs and an inch thick of mozzarella cheese with a very thin slice of manufactured processed chicken ...chips were a decent serving ... gnocchi calabrese was tasty but the sauce was all oil ..the garden salad was divine .. service friendly enough and the premises looked clean

It was 10 o'clock I craved for some late pizza. I called the shop and they were happy to take my last minute order. I ordered the meat works and bbq chicken with extra cheese. The pizza was great! The texture of the bread is thin and crisp, cheese is to die for. Too bad that the pizza don't have a lot of sauce. The staffs are friendly. They also serve gelato if you are a sweet tooth. This is Stephie signing out!

One of the best pizza places in Box Hill. Thin crust with fresh ingredients. Price is reasonable and service is good. Highly recommend if your having a night in

Pleasantly surprised by this little find. Had the capricciosa and added capsicum. It was really delicious and juicy. Crusts could have been a touch better, a cut above my other local pizza shop, beneditti's.

Top class pizza, shifted to doncaster east, and still go in there to pickup my pizza
Pizzalover
My favourite!. I have been going here regularly since they first opened a few years ago & its now my favourite pizza place in the area. The pizzas are loaded with fresh & great quality toppings, moist & tasty unlike revolting dominos/pizza hut with those horrible dried up bits they call food. They are more like the traditional style pizza of years past. They are also great value, around $13 for a traditional large or $17 for gourmet large, cheaper & better than most of the so called gourmet competitors in the area. The only complaints i have is about the bases, they're not terrible but a bit on the dry side, the overall taste compensates for this though.
edit: last order the other night was a bit scabby on toppings compared to usual, hope these guys aren't going downhill!

Pizza Works have gone down hill very badly , has to be the new management so unfriendly .
Less topping pizza & waited too long .
Shame !

Use to be good. Really loved Pizza Works when it first opened. Now, it is all down hill. Do not know if it is due to management change or it was a bad night but it was awful, truly awful.

Sad to see the only decent pizza place in and around Box Hill go. The choice of cuisine in Box Hill is diminishing, I don't feel like Asian take away all the time.

Farewell Pizza Works.
Gsh
Fantastic. Forget pizza hut...Pizza Works have beautiful handmade pizza full of quality ingredients at a reasonable price. Owner operated you can't go past how much better they are than the mass merchants.

Good Pizza and Good Prices. Finally a decent pizza joint this side of Elgar Rd, as a local I watched the shop get built and expected it to be the usual average pizza, we were very happy to be proven wrong with a clean & neat place offering good pizzas at good prices unlike the ultra expensive Pizza Capers in Belmore Rd who also make a lovely pizza but at South Yarra prices.
Well done Pizza Works !! keep the tasty pizzas flowing and keep those good prices.

Awesome pizzas! We get delivery at least once a fortnight and never had a bad pizza.

What a gem. Ok. Let me start by saying we have pizza regularly as my husband is obsessed, I can do without it. Then I bumped into an old friend who said this local place had opened so I thought would try that night for hubby. Well, we were both impressed. I am now a pizza convert. They are amazing pizzas. Made by real Italians, sizes are generous and to date we have not had a bad pizza. We order at least once a week and have done for last 2-3 months.
GREAT PIZZAS. MUST TRY!

I get the feeling most of these reviews were written by the owners. I ordered the BBQ chicken although I couldn't taste any BBQ due to the fact that there I was one squirt of sauce, on the crust. I found the pizza to be bland and incomparable to other pizza in the area

Works For Me. Good pizza, friendly service, reasonable prices - a decent local pizza place, and we will definitely be back.
We enjoyed the BBQ Chicken and Napoletana pizzas.

Pleasantly Surprised. I wasn't sure whether to expect good quality pizza from here, especially with the great deals and reasonably cheap prices. I was surprised. I had the Margarita with garlic which was amazing and the other half was americana (pepperoni). They did not use the salami sparingly! Would definitely recommend pizza works and will be back soon.
Home Chef
Gourmet pizza done well!! Very happy we 'gave them a go' and we've been going back ever since. Genuine friendly people running place too
Happy YumYum
Hooray!! Finally a decent local pizza place. We've been too long without a good pizza joint in the local neighbourhood. So sick of Asian food. These pizzas are delicious, hearty and cheap! Good quality (and lots of it) toppings. And a brilliant gluten free pizza! I hope you put Bubbas (yuck) and Da Pinos (rip off, pretentious) out of business.
Gourmet Queen
