Been here a few times already ,one of my favourite Korean BBQ.
Pro:
1. The sweet soy sauce and other dipping sauce there is top knotch
2. The side dish like kim chi and bean sprouts are up there with some of the best.
3. Excellent variety of paid drinks
4. The bulgogi beef and chicken giblets are fantastic
5. Good selection of stuff including soups for a buffet.
6. Price including drinks are very good for a korean buffet.
7. The grill they use is different from most, produce way less smoke.
8. Cook yourself, u can ask for help if you need but not having someone stand there awkwardly cooking for u is a plus for me.
Con:
1. No ox tongues... best item in any korean BBQ.
2. No parking ... always have to park far and walk there.
3. Ice cream can be as hard as rock.
4. Rice always runs out.
... done
First timer at this restraunt and korean bbq found it a novelty to cook my own food, totally loved the food l cooked totally fresh meat and marinated meats, beef, pork, and chicken and squid for your choice to cook, fresh salads and traditional salads as well as rice and soup all your sauces and desert is ice cream 3 choices my favorite was the curry pork with the vermacelli salad fried onion
And salad yum family enjoyed too thank you to the staff who was very friendly and welcoming
My first time going Korean BBQ was awesome! Staff were really friendly and the food.... SO GOOD. Cannot recommend enough. =]
Not only was the food delicious but the atmosphere and company was amazing. Cheers to our waitress i think lucy who remembered me (ily) (can't believed you still remembered me from 1 year ago) #solidcustomerservice #letmepromoteyou
And gave us massive food coma afterwards. Deffs reccommend as vibes were 10/10. I'll deffs be back for sure x
Just finished all-you-can-eat dinner at Seoulia with my uni k-culture club KIMBAP, and just wanted to say that the service was some of the best I have had, particularly for a fully booked all-you-can-eat! Will be back again! :)
Best place to get Unlimited feed on Samgyupsal with their All-you-can-eat buffet !!!
It was lovely time!!! People are so kind and helpful. Food was great! Thank you Seoulia
Nice place to enjoy Korean BBQ n K style soups.
Awesome place and the food is amazing. Will defs be back soon
Holy smoke! Just finished our all you can eat meal and it was awweeesome~! Thanks so much, we will all defiantly be back!
Finish exams. This calls for a celebration :D
I very much enjoyed dining at this restaurant!
It is all you can eat of great quality fresh cuts of meat, chicken and seafood. I also loved the Korean soup and the traditional Korean sides. This place is great for yummy food and value!
This place is underrated mainly because there’s so much Korean bbq in the area.
You don’t get a lot of options for sides etc as the other places but the meat is just as good and it’s generally got a table free with more seating space to stretch your legs than other Korean bbqs I’ve been to.
If you haven’t had Korean bbq or if you’re just looking for a big feed of rice and marinated meats which you can eat until your hearts content than I recommend giving this place a go.
Kind word of advice to management : working on atmosphere and ambience would see a lot more people coming through the doors.
The winner here is definitely the service. Went above and beyond when they did not have to. Plenty of meats and cuts to choose from as well as a decent selection of sides. Only downside may be paper being used on the grills. Very good value for what you pay!
All you can eat korean BBQ what else u need 🍴😁 options are very basic but it’s great to catch up with friends (especially if you’re hungry). Ps do not wear your good clothes!! You will smell like BBQ after your meal
I use to come here once a week for all you can eat Korean bbq! It was so good but the price has gone up and quality has diminished as the years have gone by
Came here occasionally in the past for the all you can eat buffet, the price certainly went up. Foods here are pretty good but some of the beef looks frozen :/ but still enjoy eating here especially the glass noodle.
Had such a great time. Staff was welcoming and helpful. A lot of variety as for food and delicious at that. $33 per person is such a great price for an all you can eat with a variety like that. I will be reccomending this place to my mates and taking them here.
We had a great time at Seoulia! We had a rocky start with our BBQ not working properly so we had to move tables but once things were going it was all extremely delicious. My only real qualm was that everything seemed dirty. My glass of water had a film of oil on top of it, and I could see specks on all of the clean bowls and plates which I found off-putting. Despite this, it's a really fun night out, and the curry pork belly which may sound strange was my stand out favourite.
A nicely renovated all you can eat korean restaurant. Been here a couple of times and the food has always been constistent. Good food for the price.
29.50 all you can eat! That's a bargain. Decent variety of meats was all help yourself. Cook your self so it was quite enjoyable and comfortable. Quality was quite decent as well would definitely come back.
We've been here more times than I can remember. The first time we came, the buffet cost $28.50 on weekdays! Each time the food has been great, although they seem to have improved since last time we came - which explains the increase in all you can eat pricing. More varieties of meat which are refilled regularly and more sides also! On the occasion that we dined here most recently, we had to wait around 35 to 40 mins to get a table, even though we put our name down on a list (I think we had been forgotten). The waitress apologised and offered us free drinks, which was lovely of her. Just like every other time, we enjoyed the food and left with big bellies.
Pretty good for what you pay, lots and lots of pork belly! Some of the side dish menu items were refilled really slowly (the sweet potato one).
Staff was very very friendly!
Came here with a party of 7. Korean bbq for myself has aways been a more enjoyable experience with a group. This way, you can order and try a variety of the menu. Seoulia offers a clean, professional korean barbecue. Their venue had great ventilation, important for any bbq restaurant, uses coal, and has good attentive staff. Meals suit the prices, with premium cuts well marinated. Special mention for their seafood pancake and soondabu tofu. stew
It's good for value if you can eat a lot. It's a very casual place - you grab your own food (toppings, meat, rice, etc) and then you cook it yourself.
Was having a mad craving for korean bbq, decided to come her for a change. I live on the western suburbs of melb, so it was a fair drive... It was $33.( and somethign cents) a person so round it to $35 per head for 100 mins to eat.. Minus abit of your chit chat or multitask and youll have heaps of time to eat!
Tables had cute buttons on the side that when you press it actually sends a message to the register and inform that your table is asking for assistance which is very smart!
Quite a decent affordable price if you ask me ! Food are placed in a design literally like a buffet.. Theres chicken and pork and beef... Calamari and squid.
Vegetables: lettuce, pumpkin slices and sweet potato , onions
For your condiments you have kimchi, bean sprouts and 3 more other noodle alike salads in the cold section.
Rice and 2 types of soups! Food isn't FANTASTIC BUT its a casual place for a quick dinner thats good enough to satisfy your cravings for korean bbq! I thought the environment was great, I am a kimchi addict so I felt great not having to bother the waiter to get me more kimchi..
Waiters were nice ! Quick service would defs come back again !
Best place to get your fix on Unlimited Samgyupsal through their All-you-can-eat buffet 😉 they brought back the buffet bar and the price have gone up to $32.50/pp but it is still worth it 😍
A good place to have Korean BBQ with friend, love Korea sake and stone hot dish. Though not too many seats, open till 3am that allows BYO too. Service is very nice!
All you can eat Korean BBQ... Need I say more? I generally book before coming here, especially on weekends. The service is generally quick. The meat could be a little more spiced, but it isn't bad considering the fact that you are provided an unlimited selection for 100 minutes, all at an affordable price. My friends and I are always keen for some pork belly, and Seoulia does not disappoint!
Great Night and Friendly Staff. Spent Mother's Day dinner for the first time at a Korean restaurant. For a first time diner to a Korean restaurant, the Staff were very helpful and friendly, and took the time to explain the menu, especially the bbq buffet.
They did not rush you, and constantly asking you if everything was ok. The place was very busy, but the service was still exceptional.
I thoroughly recommend this place, Seoulia, and in fact we are coming back again.
Only down-side was that they didn't have jugs for the water......very minor...but the food was great.....
Good Food, Good Mood
+4.5
Seoulia happened to be one of the places we dined at often. The restaurant recently had MAJOR renovations and was closed for almost a month! They now have installed booths, the space is cleaner and IT IS NO LONGER ALL YOU CAN EAT *cries*. For $29.50 per person, I had the luxury of choosing my own food amount from the vast choices in the buffet, with complimentary tea and ice cream to look forward to when I had finished eating. I'm assuming it is under new management because Seoulia was the best All You Can Eat KBBQ place, ever. If anyone can recommend a new place to try then please let me know! I took the liberty of taking photos of the new menus items that are reasonably priced with good portions. There is also a separate sheet with set menu combinations, all under $40 from memory. Giraffe and I ordered C1 - for $25.00 per person. It included jasmine rice, bean sprout soup
Great dinner spot. I usually come here on weekdays because bbq buffet is cheaper and less ppl on weekdays. I was surprised that one of their banchan(sidedish) was japchae and you can grab more from the food bar!! I love the beef and pork bulgogi. We ordered ddeokboke to share (only $9.80!!!!) and it was yummy!! The price is cheap, food is awesome! Great for group dinner!
Bad service, good food, nice water, no chicken. the waiters constantly forget the orders.
Enjoyed:). I went to this restaurant after the exam with 8friends. I had all you can eat for 100mins and received group discount. I also ordered sausage stew and it was the best stew I have tried :) All enjoyed buffet and stew and the price was reasonable for everyone. I preferred new style buffet because I could choose the meal from the variety of menu. It was exciting to have the meal with k-pop video clip on the wall!!! I will come back soon:-)
Renovations. I went to the restaurant today for friends 20th.
Unfortunately the restaurant is closed :-(
It looks like they are going under big renovations till mid May.
Cant wait to see their new menu.
Hopefully they will give out some special coupons on the opening day.
All ya-can-eat BBQ. Straight out, I didn't care for their chief's special of soba noodles. While light and tangy, served in a small almost sauce bowl, this was not the main course. Although as soon as these soba noodles came out of the kitchen they were quickly snapped up. The main course is meat, and plenty of it, and half a dozen options from calamari and baby octopus to chicken, pork and bulgogi beef. All perfectly more than acceptable quality. The quantity is a bonus. Yes, there is also rice, two soups of the day, and cheap ice cream on a cone, but that is not why one comes to Seoulia. There is a small selection of fruit, next to the larger selection of veges, but these are the garlic and onion garnishes for the meat, as well as the cabage to wrap the meat and garnish with, after dipping them into your own sauce, which I recommend the soy mix with the chilli, in 30/70 portions. And if one of party is a vegetarian, the staff is amenable for the person to purchase from the vegetarian resturant a few stores down and eat in Seoulia with a small fee if they also wish to have fruit, soup or ice cream.
If you're craving Korean bbq meat and want lots of it come here. It's a cheap all you can eat specializing in Korean bbq. The meat is marinated very well and tastes delicious. Jap chae is also good here. Other than that there isn't anything else thats memorable.
You get what you pay for. It's really good value for money if you take into account that they don't really enforce the 2 hour session rule. We were there for hours and we just kept eating! The beef was very well marinated, jap chae was good and overall the experience was good for a $30 all you can eat!
Don't expect to receive any sort of service though - everything is self served, but they did come by and collected our dirty plates every now and then.
Go early and line up :(. Seoulia is Korean buffet BBQ restaurant where you eat as you can, take any food from tray and cook it at your own style on hot bbq plate. The restaurant is always full and only accept booking for 4 people or more. As a happy couple with no friend (joking) I always line up 15 mins before the restaurant open with my wife. Whenever I visit boxhill, Seoulia is definitely on my dining list. There are few times some shameless ladies walk and stand right in front of me. I always tell them "did you see this line? you need to line up like the rest" as I really hate anyone who jumped the queue when I am lining up for food, especially for BBQ pork! There was once I've been there and the counter lady gave 1 free pepsi per person. I think she tried to stuff us up with softdrink so we will take less food. Unfortunately I saw everyone (including me), just put the pepsi in the bag and eat the same amount of food. Since then, no more free pepsi, haha. The icecream is just regular, probably get from Coles, but since it's free, I always took 4 when I went out, 2 for me, 2 for my wife. :D
Great warm comfy bbq when it's cold and windy outside and you've had a bad day. It's the kind of place to go when you just want to dig straight into some hearty sizzling bbq no frills attached, expect zero service.
