Delight House continues to impress. With service that is pleasant and flavoursome roast meats, it's always a real delight to come by this place.
I popped in on a Sunday afternoon and purchased a range of meats. Soya chicken, roast duck, salted free range chicken, sausage and cuttlefish. The meats were chunky and the accompanying sauces were delicious! Hats off to the sausage - it was addictively savoury.
With so many restaurants selling roast meats in Boxhill, Delight House is slightly ahead of the pack.

The roast duck at Delight House came highly recommended so we decided to give it a go.....and we were delightfully surprised!
The duck was lean and full of flavour - the all important secret spices came through loud and clear. The cuttlefish was perfectly QQ and not rubbery. The accompanying vinegary sauce gave it another dimension.

This restaurant has been opened awhile and we have yet to try it. So last week, we went in for lunch. We ordered a combination of two meats, the steamed free range chicken and the roast duck. Vow, the steam chicken was so tasty, the flavour comes with a little bit of a salty and chicken taste. The meat was so tender and easy to bite and chew. The roast duck is juicy and meat is tender. Overall we have a very satisfying meal. Will definitely come back to patronise this restaurant. Will recommend their free steamed free range chicken come with an additional charge of $3.00 than the normal steamed chicken.

As I said earlier, I will be back to try my favourite steamed free range chicken. I ordered a plate of rice with it. I must say that it is really good. I just loved it.
Nice place to have lunch if you're in Box Hill. Had the Preserved Egg and Sliced Pork Congee, paired with Chinese Fried Donut (Yau Char Kwai). Washed down with a hot cup of milk tea. The congee was smooth and tasty, loved the ginger bit they had in there.
We had 2 main dishes and 1 bbq pork with rice. All taste authentic like home. The lady who served us is attentive. A satisfied meal for canton food.
Pleasantly surprised by Delight House. We usually go to Roast Duck Inn, but thought we’d try something different. The place was less crowded, seatings are comfortable. No need to share table with other diners. Service was quick and friendly. Roast duck was very good. Skin was crispy, duck wasn’t too fatty. Fried salt and pepper chicken ribs on rice was very good too. Not greasy, really enjoyable. Will definitely go there again!
Absolute gem for those hunting for the best roast duck and roast pork in Vic. Restaurant may not be spacious, but food overall was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.
This place is fantastic!! For starters, seats comfortable, good air-con, only tiny thing is it’s quite noisy inside. Staff were very friendly, always brought everything we wanted promptly, and spoke really good English! Then the food came, everything was fabulous!!! I saw another review say the duck was dry and I have to strongly disagree the duck was my favourite, juicy with beautiful skin and the sauces to accompany were divine. We also reallly loved the sweet and sour pork, not at all oily and heavy and just delicious. Will return! Oh and free soup and tea!!

Bbq pork - skin super crunchy (my favourit)
Roast pork - very nice
Tofu claypot with chicken and salted fish - abit tasteless for our pallete
Cube beef - beef cooked perfectly, and on top of that they serve it with brocolli
Dry noodle with roast duck - noodle was perfect but roast duck was just ok
They give complimentary soup and tea.
The place is nice, toilet is clean. Staff was very helpfull.
I recommend for the bbq pork, roast pork, salt pepper ribs and the cube beef.
And their portion is decent as well.
Can’t believe I forgot to review one of my hidden gems in Box Hill, if I could, I would give them ten stars where fives stars represent the top score. Trust me, no matter what dish you order, you won’t regret as they are all wonderfully prepared. The flavors are always magnificent and the ingredients are always fresh. God bless them, they survived the pandemic, otherwise I don’t know where to find a compatible and similar one. I would recommend always order normally dishes rather than a quick bite or bentos.
Have come here several times, good pricing, roast pork and duck is excellent, they offer Chinese soup and tea when you seat
Tasty duck and noodles! Will be back to try more items on the menu. It lost one star as the company I was with did not enjoy their meals quiet as much. Mind you they did not order the duck which seems to be their specialty.
Although Its not quite the same as 大家樂 in Hong Kong which is a fast food/cafe style food, this one in Box Hill has its own charm.
We arrived quite late but the staff were happy to serve us and made us feel very welcome. Soup came straight away and it was great to see the traditional Cantonese soup being served with dinner at no additional cost. We ordered fish fragrant eggplant with chicken, drunken chicken claypot soup, xo scallops and salt and pepper tofu. The scallops and the chicken claypot soup were particular highlights but all the dishes were great.
We will be coming back to try the bbq meats too!
Had takeaway here. Very quick service even though place was pretty busy. The only issue is they have surcharge for credit card use. Even eftpos requires minimum of $40 to avoid surcharge. Apologies for the photos. Already started eating it before remembering to take photos :p
