I’m so happy to have found this Gem. Not only is the atmosphere so lovely but it is a family run business who are clearly passionate about the industry and know what they are doing.. the staff are all so lovely, service on point and the food is amazing, I’m trying not to have the same thing every time as hard as it it is and every time I’m pleasantly surprised. Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed our dinner on Saturday night. Food, atmosphere & staff were all outstanding. We loved the hustle & bustle of the place. The staff were fun & very attentive. I'd like to mention how great the service is at this restaurant. We came here for the first time on Sunday night and our waitress was nothing but amazing and all smiles form the moment we sat down to the moment we left. This is a rarity these days, especially when a restaurant is as busy as it was on the night. The food was excellent, a little on the pricey side but nonetheless, pretty damn tasty. The only issue I had is the amount of salt on the pizza, a little much however, can I just mention though, that base...it's all about the base...thin, crispy, crunch, true Neapolitan style.

Came in for a nice lunch. Food was amazing, service also really good. The mango passion fruit mojito was delicious. Partner had the rump steak, said it was fantastic.
This place is great. Prices are very resonable, the pasta is all so fresh and well made. Dessert was delicious and everything is high quality. Very much enjoyed my experience here and would definitely go back again

Lovely delicious pizza! A really authentic Italian style restaurant with a wide variety of pizza's, pastas, etc. Definitely worth a try. Perfect for a first date or family dinner. Whatever it may be this is an awesome place to visit!
Came for brekky for our first visit after hearing some great reviews about this place I ordered the ricotta hot cakes. They were pretty good and well presented but they were missing maybe a dollop of yogurt or ice cream. The service was friendly and atmosphere was welcoming. Great place. Will def return for a lunch or dinner.
I absolutely love this place! The food is authentic Italian... the pizzas are just to die for, and the atmosphere is so cozy, but hip. Their bar serves a great range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and the service is mostly great. It’s such a perfect place for a nice occasion dinner too.
Meat Flour Wine’s rustic interior can make a wonderful dining experience for any occasion. My friends and I came here for a casual catchup and were spoilt for choice from their extensive menu. After much deliberation, we finally went with the Chef’s tasting board to share along with our own separate mains. The tasting board was the perfect amount for the 3 of us, and included 3 delicious arancini balls, some calamari, bruschetta and polenta chips, all equally enjoyable.
For my main, I chose the Funghi risotto, and was pleasantly surprised with how yummy this was. Portion was erring on the smaller side, but this was just enough for me considering the amount we had for our entree. Overall, the combination of great food and lovely atmosphere most definitely means that I’ll be revisiting sometime in the future.
Meat Flour Wine provided excellent food & drink, atmosphere and service! The cocktails were amazing, as were the ribs and pizza! Highly recommended!
Some of the best italian food in the Melbourne area. What a hidden little gem! Beautiful setting. The carbonara was well made, al dente, not gluggy. Amazing! Minimal ingredients on the pizza, but so much flavour! And a beautifully balanced dessert! Will definitely be coming back!
It was my first time at Meat Flour Wine to celebrate my birthday. The food was absolutely amazing and there was not one issue. The staff was super friendly and nice! They also came out with a small dessert singing me happy birthday. It was truly magical and special! I definitely will be back and would highly recommend! Thank you!!

This place has become a local favourite. Highly recommend the wood fired pizzas and pasta dishes. The carbonara is always a favourite go to. Tried the mushroom risotto for the first time and it was delicious. The pizzas are cooked very well - no soggy bases! Great Italian food in the suburbs.
Service here is amazing something you’d expect in CBD fine dining restaurant. Have come here twice and both times were enjoyable. The specials are probably something to try more than something off the menu as there were so many options and the specials board was simple. The pizza’s here are go to!

Great local Italian restaurant with lovely service and a great atmosphere. Very busy even on a weeknight so be sure to book ahead!
Came with a few friends and sampled a lot of different entrees and mains including the Arancini, meatballs, the Eye fillet steak (cooked wonderfully!) and the Diavola pizza (good thin crisp but very spicy- so not for the faint hearted!)
Food was delicious, but I did find the restaurant a bit warm and stuffy and imagine it would be even worse on a hot day; and it can take a while for food to come out from the kitchen. If you’re happy to go to really enjoy your night without worrying that you need to leave by a certain time then you’ll enjoy an experience at MFW.
Best pizza & pasta in town, and the starters are great too! Staff are always attentive and friendly. We keep returning time and time again as it’s consistently good. Highly recommend :)
Very good service, staff very friendly, food is very nice! Meets my expectation! I love the environment too, except we were unlucky that there were about 5-6 flies keep disturbing us.

What a neighbourhood gem. Meat Flour Wine offers five star, Melbourne-level quality around the corner.
The staff are lovely, friendly and passionate. The food is impeccable.
For the first course, we ordered the Tutto Carne pizza, which ticked all the right boxes – crispy, soft, thin, fresh base; premium quality meats. However, I would try something with more colour next time, such as the Prosciutto pizza, which has fresh rocket, cherry tomatoes and shaved parmigiano.
The next course, I chose the lamb ragu reginette, and my friend chose the prawn linguine.
Wow.
I don't typically order pasta at a restaurant, but it is compulsory here. I can honestly say that I haven't had the pleasure of eating pasta like this before. Discard your memory of any pasta you've had before, because this will blow away all expectations.
For dessert, we ordered the chef's tasting platter. Forget trying to choose from any of the numerous tantalising options – try them all with the platter. Trust me – you won't regret it.
I will certainly be returning soon, and recommending it to all my friends. Keep up the great work, MFW!
Reginette with the Lamb Ragu, must have although where is the automatic offer of freshly grated parm and cracked pepper. Scallop ceviche, delightful could’ve used some ice with my mineral water. Can I find a place that does Braciole? Maybe on a specials board. Margarita pizza pretty sweet as well definitely gonna go back.
We had eye fillet steaks and they were soo terrific! I ordered margarita as well and it took quite long to land on my table but I was like “even if they forgot my margarita I wouldn’t mind cause the beef was so amazing”. Thank you
Went here for the first time tonight after trying to get in for 2 weekends and I could honestly not fault the place! The service is fantastic, friendly, honest and helpful. The food is that traditional italian food and flavours and made with all fresh and delicious ingredients. I am a bit of a pizza snob and I can say that the pizza was definitely up there with some that I have tried! The food is a bit on the pricey side but it is honestly so worth it. What a great addition to the area and I am sure they will do very very well!
Came here for my birthday dinner with my partner. The food was delicious and service fantastic. Great decor as well. The pasta special was amazing ( creamy garlic and mushroom) and the scotch fillet cooked to perfection. The margarita pizza was perfection. Will definitely be back!!!
Had breakfast and dinner here, both were nice but wasn’t too keen on their style of poached eggs they needed cooking more. Big menu so lots to choose from. Friendly helpful staff. Pizzas are nice. Very busy on the weekend, recommend booking!
The food was pretty good we got the chefs tasting board. I loved everything on it. We both got pasta meals for our main my friend had the lamb ragu and she loved it. I got the carbonara It was good. The only thing that I could really complain about was the noise level and the little room the waitresses have to move around I got bumped into 3 times while eating dinner. It was no biggy but it seems like an accident waiting to happen. I’d definitely come back again.

Great warm and inviting ambiance on a cold Winter’s night. Met by a display of cured meats, special cut steaks and Italian groceries as you walk in. Ordered some pizza to share which had great dough and classic toppings. Steaks were tasty and cooked to order. Thumbs up guys for the friendly service and good food!
Good food and beer. Music on the loud side, especially if sat right under one of the ceiling-mounted speakers, which we were the first time we went (lunch).
A cute restaurant. Probably a new favourite in the area! Ordered two smashed avos, bowl of chips, hot chocolate and coffee.

Really excited to have a new local italian restaurant in the area! Have been twice now, once for brunch and another for dinner.
The ambience of the place is really cool, it has a nice vibe, dark with really good lighting. Staff are friendly and knowledgable about the produce.
For brunch i had an omelette which had beautiful buffalo mozzarella. The coffee was also really nice.
For dinner I shared a mushroom risotto and prosciutto pizza. Both were amazing.
Would recommend a visit, and a booking is a must on a saturday.
Things to improve:
- food was a bit slow, but they've only recently opened and it was exceptionally busy.
- the music was a little bit loud which didn't suit my parents.
Once these are sorted I can definitely push the rating up to 5*.
This has got to be the best restaurant I have ever been to in a very long time. Food is so delicious. Pasta is made in house. Everything is fresh. Shop is clean, looks really good and the service is impeccable. The steak was so tender you could cut through it with a butter knife! We went in a big group and I had nibbles of everyone’s dishes from steaks, pastas and breakfast. All AMAZING!! Coffee was also great, I cannot fault anything. Definitely 10/10 for food, 10/10 for service, 10/10 for cleanliness and I loved the old school rnb and hip hop they weee playing! I will definitely become a regular here
I've been wanting to check this place out! The vibe in this place is on point complimented with some great service. The place is so well styled and I loved the details in plates and cutlery. I absolutely loved the pasta dish I ordered is was simple but well done. The fresh pasta was on point

Been here numerous times now had to make this a 4 star rating instead of 5 sorry. The place was raving with corporate people at lunch time, enough staff on the floor standing around however slow service and food took ages. But it was well worth the wait for my woodfired pizza forgot the name of it, but had ham and prosciutto on it was lovely and the base was quite thin.

I've been to this place twice, great feel and lovely vibe to this place. I notice they pay attention to details very much with their table setting. The napkins are linen they have a vase of fresh flowers on every table that must cost them a lot. The cutlery and plates are very modern to date. We got a free glass of prosecco I'm not sure why but little gestures like that go a long way for me. The waiter Sapphire was quite nice and very helpful. I had the margarita pizza I thought I would have more mozerlla on it but oh well. Would definitely be going back again. 5 stars for me :)

Kate was our waitress for the evening. And she definitely deserves a pay rise after the service she provided! Absolutely outstanding! She was the nicest girl and fantastic at her job and making us feel welcome! Please tell her how great she is! The food was incredible and so delicious! Have been here few times. Best italian restaurant in south east. They make their own fresh pastas. Was very busy on mother's day, make sure to book in advance on occasions. Narrow space between tables if you are on wheelchair or have a pram.
Top quality and very unsuspecting restaurant in this part of town. We arrived without a booking and the maitre d very kindly gave us a table advising the time we had as the table was pre-booked. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful and that really topped the night for us.
We ordered the morton bay bug entree, pasta special, diavola pizza and small dessert board. Everything other than the entree was delicious! The morton bay bug was maybe overcooked and while visually well presented, we couldn't actually taste any flavours from the other elements on the plate. The green sauce was tasteless.
The dessert board was very generous and could definitely serve 4 people especially if you had a good feed already.
We'll definitely be back to enjoy this wonderful fine dining that is most certainly on par with Melbourne's top restaurants.
Great place for both a group dinner and couple dinner. Sat in the outside courtyard and that was great with the warmer day but with the new breezes coming in towards the night. Portions for the pizza were expected, pasta was a little smaller but it definitely had a lot of substance.
Pictured is the Rigatoni and Prosciutto pizza. Pizza was the highlight.
Parking within can be tight and limited room for movement, if you have a big car you may have issues.
Big portions, delicious food and a lovely venue! Staff were very attentive and polite too. We had pizzas, risotto and wine/beers, and the food was out promptly despite it being very busy. Definitely book ahead as it gets very busy and there's limited parking nearby. Both indoor and outdoor seating available, and would definitely recommend.

Took a chance on booking this for my biz first ever team mini conference. The Mordialloc room was perfectly recommended for the size of our group. Perfectly set up. Service was great; Food was stunning; Coffees spot on. Well priced.
