Went here with my family and we all loved it! My kid couldn't get enough of his crunchy chicken nuggets and chips! My wife didn't share her succulent stone grill steak! And I couldn't stop smiling with my mixed seafood stone grill! To top it all off, the service was fantastic and the outdoor area was paradisiac!
Highly recommend this place for some good local steak!! Service was 5 star and meat quality is spot on!

Visited Mr Brooks tonight with my boyfriend. Initial impression walking towards the venue was incredible. Loved the layout and finish of the restaurant and courtyard. - pork ribs (heaps of sauce, soft & delicious, onion rings crunchy)
- bacon croquette (tasty)
- popcorn chicken (bit bland)
- buffalo wings (good)
- truffle risotto (tasty)
- chicken schnitzel (very juicy soft chicken, surprisingly good!)
- black angus stonegrill (really tasty cut of beef, generous portion)
Overall, a great meal with large food portions and reasonable pricing. Recommended.

I've been here twice (twice with the same group of friends) and it's only fair for me to write a review here. It has been a while ive contributed to Zomato, mr Brooks most certainly got me out of my hiatus.
Firstly- Their stone grill steaks are their highlights- different quality cuts, raw on the hot stones, allowing you to control how you like your steak done, pick your preferred gravy, with the option to add on sides like lobsters, mushrooms. It really is a nice experience to watch the steak sizzle. Taste- 👌.
Secondly- Their non steak dishes are also very good! We love their variety of starters especially the scallops, croquettes, oysters (always plump and fresh).
Ohh save some space for their sticky date pudding! Hands down one of my favs in melbourne (the supper club in the city has amazing SDP too!!). They are soooooo good we ordered 2 serves! Even though we were so stuffed.
Mr Brooks is casual, light and spacious. The ambiance is nice. The staff were attentive and helpful always. This has been one of our fav restaurants in the west and would definitely recommend!
I don't normally like places where I have to cook things myself and judge when something is done or not, so I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the steaks here. The steaks were lovely with a great amount of marbling, and the sides were nice too.
Everything tasted amazing, lovely service and relaxing environment!

This rating should be a 4.5 if there was one. Mr brooks is pretty good, I’ve been here a few times now and I can say they’re very consistent with the quality of food they serve. Portions and great in comparison to price and service was attentive.
The lamb shank was amazing, it was fall off the bone tender and the meat soaked up all the jus. I personally prefer my mash a little bit creamier, this one tasted a little bit on the starchy side and had a few lumps and bumps.
The stone grill steak was delish, I added two scallops on the side that tasted very fresh and was a great addition to the meal. Would definitely be back here.

Mr Brooks - hot hot hot!
Mr Brooks is just off Ballarat road and has plenty of parking and street parking. You enter through a large court yard that leads into the dimly lit restaurant.
My party of 4 came in on a rainy Sunday evening. We were greeted by staff promptly and taken to our booth which was towards the back section. Service here is on point, staff are attentive and walk over to see everything is okay or take your plates away.
They offer a variety of starters and mains such as pastas, parmas, burgers and more.
But don’t let that distract you from their specialty though - their stone grilled steaks.
For a starter, we ordered the croquettes. 4 ham, cheese and creamy mashed filled croquettes with crunchy skins came out and was delicious. It was the perfect serving for our group of 4.
For mains, we ordered an Angus tenderloin each. The sizzling steaks came out on stone grills accompanied by 2 types of mushrooms, roasted cut potatoes and your choice of sauce. The steaks are fairly decent in size. I usually eat a 300-350g steak and this cut definitely filled me up.
I opted for the chimichurri sauce which lacked in flavour as it was dominated by the oil unfortunately. The mushroom sauce my partner went with was a much better option, creamy and full of flavour.
The stone grill was a fun way to eat the steaks, having the ability to cook each piece to your liking. But be warned, don’t wear your favourite clothes though as you’ll leave smelling like delicious steak once you’re finished.
For dessert, we had a creme brulee and a chocolate lava cake. The creme brûlée was a decent serving size and tasted good. The chocolate lava cake however, was a let down - not on par with their other menu items we ordered. The chocolate cake didn’t ooze with chocolate sauce from the inside when cut open as a normal lava cake should. Rather the sauce was poured over the cake, and there was not much of it. In addition the cake was slight hard on one side which made it dry. The yummy part was the ice cream and glazed nuts on the side of the cake.
Overall had a great time at Mr Brooks, great atmosphere, great service and beautiful, mouth watering stone sizzling steaks that I will definitely come back for.

Dined here twice now, eaten the Wagyu tenderloin both times. Wrapped that it’s in the West and don’t have to travel out the burbs for a quality steak that’s better than most steak houses. Little bit more sauce would be good. Service for me could improve, one of the waiters repeated my order and then to find out she forgot to order in the beef salad which annoyed me. P.s: no one order the mash, it’s trash. Other then that can’t go wrong.
As soon as walked through the door, they were as friendly as ever. We were fully acknowledged and seated promptly. The food arrived in timely manner and the stone grill steaks were delicious! Loved the serving size and the sticky date pudding was delicious! Well deserved 5 stars. Will be back again. Keep it up Mr Brooks!

Lovely restaurant in the suburbs! Between 3 of us we ordered the both the stone grills, some ribs, croquettes and the popcorn chicken. This was extremely optimistic for us - we had massive food comas afterwards! The stone grills and ribs were delicious! It’s probably the only stonegrill around the sunshine/braybrook area.
The staff were also extremely friendly! I believe it’s a family run business.

Yum Yum Yum! For a larger table the food all came out together perfectly and was delicious! The entree dips we had were of decent portions and the oysters Kilpatrick were finger licking good.

I’m pretty fussy when it comes to steak but Mr Brooks has my tick of approval. I highly recommend the wagyu cuts, personally I prefer the tenderloin but both cuts are delicious. Steaks here are served on a stone grill so you have control over how your steak is cooked which is great because I like my steak medium rare and it is so easily and so often over or undercooked. I love the mushroom sauce, it’s creamy and thick, the way I believe mushroom sauce should be. For entrees I recommend the croquettes and fried cauliflower. And if you have room for dessert, the creme brûlée and sticky date are the perfect ending.

In an unlikely location that resembles a car yard lies a warehouse converted into a stone grill restaurant. Passing through a large courtyard into the warmly lit place, we were quickly greeted and seated. With so many appetizing choices, we eventually placed our orders and settled back to anticipate our meals while treating our noses to the fragrances wafting from other tables.
The soft shell crab salad and bruschetta arrived quickly and were so big they were meals in themselves. Delicious, crispy crab topped a bed of leaves and shredded carrot on sesame dressing. The Angus tenderloin arrived on its steaming stone-grill together with two lamb cutlets, roasted potatoes and mushrooms. The scent was mouth-watering as they cooked and were turned over after three minutes. The result was a juicy, tender steak. The spanner crab pasta had a little too much chilli for my taste buds but it was still flavoursome.
Our table location was in an awkward walkway. We never said anything but staff voluntarily gave us 10% discount, which was a nice gesture. Service was very efficient and friendly throughout our visit. The high ceilings and dim lighting create a warm atmosphere as groups and families enjoyed the meals. Portion sizes are super generous here so be prepared to waddle out and feel the onset of food coma.
The best burgers I have ever had in the west side. Atmosphere is romantic with open space and high ceilings. Must book in advance. Wagyu beef burger. You had me at Wagyu. Had this burger 3 times. Even when it's cooked well done it's never dry or tough. Absolute mouth-watering experience every time. Soft-shell crab salad and popcorn chicken were good. But the star of the show was the Wagyu beef. Definitely looking back to come try the stone grill.
First time at Mr Brooks and was not disappointed. Tenderloin steak packed with flavour - sauce a nice compliment. Mushrooms off the grill were 👌🏼 and chips were extra crispy! 💯 recommend
Food tasted amazing. Very aromatic, flavourful and tender. I had the seafood platter and partner had wagyu beef. Only issue was it quite hard to maneouver the items on the grill because it was so packed. So it got a bit messy. I was a little stressed I would over cook the food but that's on me.
This restaurant is quite hidden but in a good location as it’s easy to get a parking spot.
The staff were friendly and attentive and the steak tasted very nice, I just wish they gave more sauce.
Came here for the very first time to celebrate Valentine's day. Everything was great, food was amazing - generous portion, good value for money, and people were friendly. The place was spacious, filled with music that was not too loud 👍 Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!!..If any, they run out of takeaway boxes on the day and forgot our tomato sauce order a few times.
Ordered the Wagyu scotch fillet with creamy mushroom sauce as well as some fresh oysters.
The oysters were so creamy and fresh, some of the best oysters I've had in a long time!
The scotch fillet was so tender and melted in my mouth, the sauce was rich and flavoursome and the roast potatoes were the perfect side.
The scotch was a bit fatty so it spluttered a bit as it was cooking on the table, however it was completely worth it!
Staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive and the restaurant was clean and had a nice casual vibe. Inside the restaurant was a lot smaller than expected.

Went down on thursday after being referred by a friend. I was greeted by a young blonde girl who was super friendly, I had no booking but she found a table for me. I ordered the Wagyu tenderloin (highly recommend) and a glass of Shiraz which was beautiful. The meat was so soft and full of flavour, the potatoes on the side were soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. I've eaten at some super expensive steakhouses but this place tops them all, from service to quality of food and atmosphere I cannot fault Mr Brooks. I will definitely be back 👍👌
Nice friendly staff. Personally like my food to be always warm so stonegrill concept is great. The lamb on stone is perfect with rosemary. Medium cook for both is lovely but downside is if u not aware, your meat might over cook. So my advice is let it cook for both side 2 mins and take it out from stone. Cut a slice and warm it when u want a bit. I got the discount 15% offer from total bill, thank you!
Ordered the tenderloin angus steak and mr b ribs today. They both tasted amazing! Staff were friendly and professional, although there was a small mix up on our order they were able to rectify it promptly. Overall, there was great service and food, definitely coming back here :)

Went to have dinner at Mr brooks for the first time as I heard good review about this place. I ordered the tenderloin steak with extra lamb cutlets. The steak was huge but most important it was super soft and juicy. Was like eating a meat butter. Definitely be back to eat there steak again.
Fantastic meals all round. Perfectly marinated pork ribs, immensely tender wagyu and sirloin stone grill steaks. Good value and portion sizes . Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great steak or ribs in the west!
Mr Tang Vo suggested to check out his new restaurant in the west. My girlfriend and I went there for dinner on Friday night and ordered the Stonegrill sirlion steak and it was superb! We got to cook the meat the way we want it. The scallops were delicious & the chips were simply like how it should be cooked :) the staff were friendly and provided excellent service! Last but not least - the atmosphere of the restaurant was very inviting and warm. I really enjoyed it! Great work to Tang and his staff!

I just went here tonight for a Father’s Day dinner and a friend of mine recommended this place to me, the location could be much better as it’s covered by an office but when you are there it looks really modern and the service was great and the food was amazing I had the tenderloin Angus steak on the stone grill and it was delicious, so I highly recommend this place for special occasions as Mr Brooks is a great experience.

Service team were friendly, smiling and enthusiastic.
We ordered 2 sirloins and 2pc king prawn as an add on. The waitress even offered to put one piece on each which was quite thoughtful. Also ordered a side of vegies. Mushroom sauce was nicer than the barnaise. We enjoyed our meal although I would have liked a choice of side.
Lost the .5 stars due to some wait for our food. It was lunchtime, the day before father's day so can't really hold ut againt them.
Once everyone was gone we were quick to get our cheesecake and apple crumble which were both generous in serving.
I asked the waitress to put a candle on my mum's cheesecake as it was her birthday and they offered a sparkle which was a nice touch. Not sure about the apple crumble though, base was thick and like a cake, not much apple and had another fruit mixed in.
Overall a lovely lunch venue to date my mum for her birthday. Ambience offered a bit of fancy but quite casual. Thank you team for being so accomodating.

A newly opened local stone grill joint. We ordered the Mr B Burger, Seafood Pasta, Chicken Parma and Mushroom Risotto.
The pasta and risotto were very cheesy. It was great for the first few bites, then you start getting sick of it. The chicken parma was standard - no different to other pub grub. The Mr B Burger was excellent, with a delicious herby pattie and generous side serving of salad and chips.
Overall, great service, nice atmosphere and good food. I will be back to try the stone grill next time.

Friday night dinner is so good at this cute, west side gem. The restaurant is small but there is a big outdoor area that could be fantastic for summer nights. We dined indoor win a big group and it was a really nice atmosphere with extremely friendly staffs.
Food: we ordered wagyu tenderloin with mushroom sauce, bbq pork ribs, a dozen kilpatrick oysters, salt and pepper squid and onion rings. The wagyu was so tender and easy to eat. The staff will advise you how to cook your meat on the stone grill but it’s fairly simple. My tip is to cut in the direction of the beef in 3cm thickness and turn twice within 2 minutes each side for medium or cut the steak right through the middle medium rare. The bbq pork ribs was a favourite amongst everyone as the sticky sweet bbq sauce and meat fell right off the bone. Salt and pepper squid was tender and very nice too. The oysters were a bit small for their price but they were quite nice with the kilpatrick sauce. Overall it was a really good meal I highly recommend it.
Service: great staff and wonderful atmosphere. We were messy and came in a big group but they were very accommodating and patient with us.

It’s a nice place for stone grill in west suburbs. It’s quite crowed on the weekend. I’ve not booked so there is not table inside, we had to seat outside a bit cold with these days. The ambiance is beautiful.
The night time ambiance was really pretty and cute. Perfect for a first date or catch ups with friends. The stone grill is so cool and really good for people who like to do it their own way. And the staff and bosses are really sweet and lovely. Took my father there and was a lovely evening.

What a surprise! I just wanted to try this new place and I see a familiar face, hmmm... The Kangarilla Shiraz that I love to drink at a Highpoint restobar is here? I don’t care if I am over rating this wine (Kangarilla Road), but having been to the winery at McLaren Vale myself last year makes the connection with this restobar. I had the best experience at the Kangarilla Rd. Estate, and this just brought South Australia in my doorstep.
Tenderloin on that Stone grill was just to die for and kids just love the overloaded burgers. Quick service with a bonus beer on tap! Unusual ambience with a hint of beer garden atmosphere. I shall return - you had me at Kangarilla🍷.
Lovely staff, funky venue. The food tasted great and didn't take too long to come out. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. The only problem is finding it. The staff did say they're looking to get some signage outside which should fix this. Will definitely be coming back!

I’ve been so excited about the opening of Mr Brooks and when I couldn’t attend their soft opening on the 17th Mar, I was not very happy! But I did managed to gather the family and had dinner there on the Friday before their Big Grand Opening day! And the place was buzzing! This is def. dining with a twist and you won’t find anything else like it!
Loving the fit out of this modern industrial restaurant with exposed bricks and high ceilings; and the open courtyard filled strings of magical fairy lights. It’s the perfect location for a work lunch or friendly dinner gathering. Plenty of parking nearby. Look out for the massive but awesome Mr Brooks sign, you can't meet it!
Chilli Mussels - The beautiful flavour of fresh mussels is showcased in this lovely rich and saucy tomato broth. Needed a teeny weeny bit more chilli to give it the ultimate kick. The warm toast helped me polished off the rest of the tasty sauce after the mussels were all demolished by the rest of the family haha!~
Fresh Oysters - OK so I didn't eat any as I'm not a big fan of oysters but they were obviously good as the rest of my family finished them off within minutes...
Family friendly place. Wagyu tenderloin stone grill is recommended. We also had the calamari, mussels and oysters which were good. Wouldn't recommend the apple "crumble" as it tasted like a microwaved frozen apple pie but the sticky date is good!
Finally a awesome dining place on the west side!! The entrees were fabulous! Croquette and scallops were so delicious I wish I had room for more. The corn entree with a touch of lime added such a nice citrus kick which reminded me so much of mamasita 🤤
Steak was very tender and the mushroom sauce is sooo nice! Pasta was delicious as well and the seafood is so fresh!

i didn't know what to expect. but wow, food was amazing. flavours were on point. staff were accommodating and friendly for our big table of 20. The food came out in a timely manner. i will be recommending this to friends and family and will definately come back!

The food: I’m a sucker for juicy, slow cooked and bbq’ed meats and this place plates up a feast! We had basically everything from the menu with our group of 10 and the favourite was definitely the rib dish! I mean what can you say against falling off the bone, sticky, juicy goodness?! And even the burger 🙀🙀🙀. Just thinking of it makes me salivate! Double bacon, double patty and just the right amount of salad! I could go on and on to praise the quality of the rest of the dishes but I want to give you enough time to pick up the phone and book your spot!

Went here with my parents and partner and we were quickly seated to our reservation by the friendly staff. We started off with the tapas which consisted of the popcorn chicken and aioli dip (soooo yummy) that paved the way for our tastebuds for our mains. We had the signature stone grill with wagyu sirloin and tenderloin (Melts in your mouth, no condiment needed) along with the mouthwatering pork ribs (literally falls off the bone). Will come back again for more!
Great atmosphere with food to match. Steak was vibrant and cooked nicely on the stone with top quality meats all round. West side needs a good stone grill and Mr Brooks is legit!
