Lovely cosy cafe! Warm and friendly staff. Amazing coffee and food! Would definitely recommend :)
Such a lovely breakfast here - mushrooms on toast doesn't begin to describe the wonderfully layered flavours in this dish, and the vegetarian breakfast burrito (despite a delayed start) was a taste sensation. Our tip is add sides of mushroom and halloumi. The only down side here (and don't let it put you off) is that it's a little noisy. But the food and friendly service is so very good.
Cosy, casual little cafe in the heart of Bright. The coffee was the best I’ve found in town - far better than other, higher rated cafes around town - and the baked beans were delicious. The kids breakfast box (mix of cheese toasty, boiled eggs, and cut fruit) is a great idea although would be better with warm soft boiled, rather than cold hard boiled, eggs. The walls are stacked with carefully selected local foodstuffs (honey, jam, bread), and I love the “tread lightly” ethos infused through the place. It also opens earlier than some of the other cafes. If I have one suggestion, it’s that Bright can be cold and a little more warmth would go a long way, particularly near the window. All up, this place will now be providing my daily caffeine fix while I’m here.
Such a cute little spot for breakfast. We ordered the Muesli & the bacon and egg bagel. Both were very nice. In hindsight I should of got bagel toasted, I think it would of been even better.
The coffee was great and the service was super friendly and quick.
My only other suggestion would be for the menu to include the good old eggs benny or a similar option.
Stopped by this cosy cafe for coffee after checking out of our place in Bright. Staff are extremely friendly. Good strong coffee to kick start the trip home. Crispy croissant that comes with a lovely raspberry jam that’s not too sweet. So good I had to bring a jar back!
This is a lovely little cafe with simply delicious food. The service is prompt and friendly. The kids pack is very good value and the menu offers some great options for a reasonable price.
Food Wine Friends
Slightly confusing name as it doesn’t seem to be open to have a wine at night as we discovered last night. It seems to be more of a cafe that can serve wine. It’s a small brightly decorated little cafe. You get a good feel from it. The coffee here is very nice, probably the best we had in lovely Bright. Substantive and nicely flavoured. Service was brisk and amiable.
Extremely good spot in vivid for some brunch lunch or afternoon snack! This location became a superb locate. might notably advise the smashed Avo on sourdough with goats cheese. additionally they do a brilliant grazing plate with masses of yummy cheese meat and antipasto! My buddy had the banana smoothie which turned into delicious too. Wait personnel are friendly and have lots of united states charm and the area looks like it might be comfy in a Melbourne suburb. Has out of doors seating and big tables for corporations or sharing in addition to couches which is nice. in addition they sell clean bread and yummy connoisseur food stuffs like jams, relishes, teas and espresso which I always spend my money on. truly well worth a glance subsequent time you are in vivid!
Lovely little cafe with friendly staff and delicious sourdough! We had the toast plate and the smashed avo and they were both very tasty :) would definitely return next time we are in bright
Such a welcoming cafe. Always fresh food, made with local ingredients. The coffee is exceptional, the best in Bright. Declan and Bec are so welcoming and kind. Will definitely be a returning customer.
Perfect bacon and a warm and happy environment!! We have been coming here for years and will continue to drop in every trip! Bright can be a cold and breezy place in winter, there really is no better place to drop In for a hot meal or just the perfect hot coffee. The new decor is bright and bubbly just like the new owners. It's great to see young peeps stepping up and creating that great Bright vibe, it's such a great place to come back to.
A change of ownership has made a big difference here, if past reviews are to be believed.
The staff are very friendly and I had a few interesting and intelligent chats with the young staff. Often in these small towns there's a tendency to ignore visitors in favour of chatting with locals but I didn't find this to be the case. These girls truly get "hospitality". Always a good experience at an owner/manager place.
Simple rustic modern decor with quirky details. Inside isn't huge and probably not pram friendly. (Some of us think that's a good thing, amiright. I've done my time there)
I stopped in for a coffee on a quiet wintery Monday and ended up with a yummy treat and a second coffee. Would def return for a more substantial meal at another time.
Great place for a coffee or breaky. Great coffee and food and very lovely staff. Comfy couches. Also have good wifi. Definitely recommend it
Sunday morning bacon and eggs were excellent and great value. Nice old school feel to service and staff. Coffee latte was average and a little on the milky side.
Delicious food. Really well thought out menu. Friendly staff. Fast service . Great coffee, milkshakes and even a cheeky bubbly! Bathrooms had games and facilities for moms and bubs. Would return
Open at seven and great coffee 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👊
Amazing.. Great fashionable food. Incredible coffee!
Heatherjeanb. My favourite place ever! Amazing coffee with wholesome fresh food!
House made cakes and local wine and cheeses! Yummiest!
Consistently good coffee every time, and friendly service.
Stopped in for a coffee and GF cheesecake and was not diss appointed, staff friendly and served up a complimentary coffee after a mix up with the order by my partner.
Popped in for lunch after buffalo return ride. It is hard to do better than a pork and fennel burger (on the big side) and an iced coffee (a few places in bright are serving the espresso shot on the side - love it). Wish I'd visited this place before my last day here. I will return.
Happy to recommend. Arrived in Bright ready for some afternoon tea of some kind, and having checked out Urbanspoon we headed straight for this cafe/ providore. My husbands orange and poppyseed cake with cream and icecream got an enthusiastic nod of approval. I opted for a toastie of ham, cheese and chutney and while it sounds very basic it was far from. Himself couldn't help raiding my plate and getting most of one of the slices. Coffee was good too. We were so pleased we turned up for breakfast the next morning and enjoyed every mouthful then too. Lovely chap owning the place looked after us well and we wished we lived there so it could be our local.
Great coffee, beautiful food (and very generous portions), friendly and quick service on a Saturday morning. Dog friendly too. Loved it.
Impressed. Just visited for the weekend from Melbourne and chose this place for brekkie yesterday. Was not disappointed! Small, relaxed fit out with few tables and one large communal table which would not be out of place in inner Melb. Simple, rustic but wonderful food and great coffee. Awesome crusty Milawa bread. Friendly service and accommodating for our bubs. Service a little slow but the place was busy and overheard staff being upfront and informing patrons of wait times. Hey its the country and who's in a rush anyway? Look forward to visiting again soon next time we are in town.
Just called in for coffee, but very impressed indeed. Very friendly service and great coffee. Looking forward to returning for lunch soon.
The best coffee providore shop in Bright. Staff are friendly, coffee is exquisite and food is tasteful.
In The Country.... Natalie, I am as disappointed as you that you had a less than satisfying experience and also very sorry that wait times were not conveyed by staff accurately. I will point out that Easter is the busiest weekend of the year in Bright with a local population of 2500, that swells to 20,000 people in 2 days. Local business rely heavily on the help from family and friends who do not work on the premises on a regular basis and do exceptionally well to cope with the needs of holiday makers, whose clientele we appreciate greatly. While it may not have been apparent to you at the time, your order was the last of a long line of breakfasts. I will also point out that there were 7 orders placed in between you and your friends earlier orders and orders were originally on different tables. The lack of communication was inexcusable & again I do apologise for this. Happy holidays.
Fantastic food and fast quality service. Obviously a place the locals like to go which is telling! The food is amazing. A very comfortable atmosphere and child friendly - our new favourite place in bright!
Nice food & staff. A very nice lunch, reasonably priced and friendly staff! What more can l say. Delightful
Just undergone a massive face lift. Shop looks fantastic and coffee and food remain excellent. Best Chai in Victoria!
Great coffee, small kitchen so breakfast is basic but excellent produce. I had a selection of Milawa gourmet toast, my husband had smashed avo and feta with sardines, delicious
Best Bright option. Consistently good coffee, nice selection of gormet grub to browse while you wait, and a spectacular hiring policy.
Two Bears And A Fork
+4.5
With the lure of abundant mushrooms calling his name, he ended up ordering one for himself. It's not enough to say he enjoyed the so
If you are looking for satisfying bkfst and coffee (or a snack / cake, etc), you will love this place and you will not be disappointed. Soy latte / Chai latte were just amazing. You must try the egg and bacon toastie on sourdough bread, it’s brilliant. The staff is very warm and friendly, and the food was served very quickly. We will be back! :)
Fresh orange juice, yummy. Bagel was super tasty. Eggs and bacon cooked to perfection. Friendly staff and atmosphere cosy. Highly recommended!
Whilst on our adventure my partner and I decided we were hungry for lunch, we walked past Food Wine Friends and I saw they were rated pretty high so we stopped in, it wasn’t busy when we arrived and we were able to pick any table we pleased, we got a couple menus and sat down.
We browsed the menu and I decided on the rueben bagel with a green superblast and my partner got the pancakes with a mango smoothie, the drinks came out within 10 minutes. The green superblast was good, very refreshing and had that healthy kick to it, the mango smoothie on the other hand wasn’t that good, it was more of a mango milkshake without much mango flavour..
The food came out not too long after. The pancakes were soft and fluffy, lots of compote on them making them fairly sweet, the strawberries were nice and fresh and the ice cream finished it off, it could definitely double up as a dessert. The bagel wasn’t too bad, the bagel itself was more of a roll instead of a bagel, it didn’t have the dense-chewy texture of a bagel but more of a soft bread roll, the taste of it whole was good but I just wish there was more than 2 extremely thin slices of corned beef, it would definitely make it better if there was more meat. Overall would rate this place a 7/10
What a gem of a cafe, we had breakfast here and the coffee, food and service was top notch.
Especially was impressed by the Breakfast Burrito
Recommend a visit if in Bright, you won't be disappointed
Best coffee in town!! Yummy breaky with lots of options. Cozy vibe and always good tunes going
Great food with great pricing. Loved the coffee and the fresh juice as well. Water cups are in different colours which I found pretty and the staffs were really helpful.
Seriously delicious hot chocolates - extra hot just as we like them plus lactose (if you want)free as well plus one of the best shepherds pies to match. Highly recommend.
