I go here often with my Fiancé. Always amazingly delicious food and friendly, accomodating staff!
Very Hospitable hosts. The food is fresh and so tasty and amazing. Brilliant
It's fantastic every time I come here. Thanks, Luck!
Love it every time we go. Family favourite
Great jap food. Lots of choice. Located on a main road. Make sure you book at least day before.
Had the sashimi boat, decent serving.
Stay away from the waygu and aspagus, it's very tough.
Will be back!
Went in for a casual dinner and we got a truly authentic Japanese experience. Staff was friendly and food came out quickly, with generous servings. The agedashi eggplant seemed to be a popular choice and for good reason, it was flavourful and well cooked. The sushi was fresh and chicken Katsu curry had generous servings of curry with thick pieces of chicken. Keen to return to try other items on their menu!

Late at night, Yet Still very fresh
I visited this Sushi Take out post 9pm. I thought this would have been quite late and perhaps the sushi may have not been as fresh, however to my surprise it was very delicious. I also appreciated the fact that the staff and waiters were all happy and smiling.
We ordered several dishes and if it was not late in the night, I think we would have ordered more.
One thing I should recommend to Luck Sushi is they should have pictures on the Menu. It makes it easier to place orders. This is a sit down or take away sushi restaurant. very quite side of Brighton away from the headache and noise yet still enough to enjoy the city.
Excellent Japanese restaurant. Food was served very quickly and the sashimi pieces are a generous cut. Food is cooked perfectly. I have no complaints at all. We ordered 5 dishes and a sake and it came to $99.
Food 2/2
Service 2/2
Atmosphere 0.7/1 (rounded down to 0.5)
I honestly love this place. Came here for the first time last year for my 20th birthday and even though I haven't tried a lot of the dishes that they offer the ones I have had were so amazing I even ate the types of food I usually hate *cough* vegetables *cough*. So props to the chef.
The service is nice because they aren't down your throat but they do keep an eye on you and don't leave you hanging around for long. They all have nice welcoming smiles which is something I personally don't usually see in restaurants.
The price isn't bad, I think it's actually reasonably priced for a family business that need to make a living off of this. There are two reasons I took .5 off, the first being I haven't eaten all of their dishes so I can't rate those, the other reason being there is no decent on site bathroom, though it's understandable considering the size of their store.
Have been going there frequently since moving to Brighton and will continue to do so, if you want to eat in don't forget to call and book a table because chances are there won't be any available if you show up randomly. I also suggest not going alone as I've been doing, it can get awkward if you're alone.
Invited here by my friends who know the owner. Had an awesome experience. Staff were extremely friendly and service was great. We ordered plates and plates of sashimi, with people at other tables staring at us each time we ordered. The staff helped us order so we got the fish boat which had an assortment of nigiri. We also got complimentary matcha icecream because of our connections. Would definitely recommend!
Love this place. Friendly service, great Japanese food and great prices. One of brightons highlights! I can only 100% recommend Luck Sushi for lunch or dinner
Came in here for lunch and chose the spicy chicken bento box and the salmon avocado roll. The meal was prepared fresh and was quite nice for what it was. Make sure not to over order as the bento box is quite filling.
Massive fan of this place. Highly recommend.
Not sure about the other reviews but I came in just when they were about to close for lunch (2pm by the way!) so service was prompt and food did not take long. Staff were really friendly.
I ordered a Karaage bento box takeaway, not sure if it was because I was starving but it was delicious! Rice was steaming hot just the way it should be, chicken was crunchy but not oily, really enjoyed their greens and seaweed salad.
Filling meal for $12, would bring my friends here for a good happy meal.
Best Sashimi. Came on a Saturday night and luckily is wasn't very busy.
Shared a sashimi which was served beautifully on ice, and was very fresh and tasty. The sushi rolls were also fantastic, and staff were very friendly and polite, explaining the sashimi when they served to us (and also after we asked for it be repeated because we got confused with two of them). One of the freshest sashimi plates I have had in a Japanese restaurant and a, defintely going back for that alone. Also had the Katsu Don (Rice with Crumbed Pork and Egg) which was genrous size and also tasty.
The menu was good and had a nice variety and wasn't too limited (like some Japanese restaurant can be) and the prices are very good for what you are served. Recommend.
Beautiful food!!! highly recommend :D
I've tried a lot of different sushi places but this one price and quality is definitely the best
Everything was good from the marinated ginger salad, sashimi, tempura to the beef and pork. Quality was a bit above average and service was good. The Japanese lady was very polite. The environment was quiet, good sound-proof store. I couldn’t here the noise from outside, that was the main road and highway. Suitable for small family and couple who enjoy quiet dining experience.
Fantastic family run restaurant. I went for dinner on my own and I was welcomed warmly. Great informal place to chill out and enjoy lovely food. I had 3 small courses and 3 glasses of wine. The sashimi was excellent quality. Helpful polite staff, I felt very comfortable and the food was excellent. Recommended!
5/5 stars. Me and my family have been coming to this restaurant for more than 12 years, and have never disappointed. Their amazing food as well as their extremely kind service is the best in the area. Best Japanese cuisine in Brighton and surrounding area! 10 out of 10!!!
The food of Luck Japanese Restaurant is delicious and the sashimi is fresh in taste. The delivery of the food is fast and the staff are nice. I have tried the sashimi, sushi, roll and undo, all of them are recommended. As the roll are made with rice and the size is big, if only 2 person can consider to order in 2 times in case too full, because we felt full after eating half of them. If you are 2 people, the sashi dragon boat would be a good choice for you. The last thing is the price is little higher compared to the other Japanese restaurant nearby.
BYO, authentic Japanese flavours, relaxed atmosphere.
The sushi boat, takoyaki and katsu don were delicious. I’ll be coming back to try more of the menu for sure.
My go to Japanese spot in Brighton le Sands. Food is authentic and yummy but ambience is ok. Also service isn't the fastest but I put it down to them focusing on food quality
