Review Mezes Espresso Bar Restaurant - Brighton le Sands

Good customer service and generous serving sizes! Our favourite dish is the seafood platter (pictured) - lots of variety and value for money! Haven't had a disappointing dish yet the two times we've been. We like sitting further into the restaurant where there are some couch seats as the front can be a bit noisy from the road. Would recommend!

Tasty! Fresh food. Open kitchen so we could see chefs made meals. I asked for just a cup of hot water for warming baby food. A kind waitress provided much better one for my baby's food!! Kind and attentive! Cappuccino was rich and full flavor of great coffee. We will visit again!

This was an okay cafe for breakfast. $9.90 for eggs, avocado and toast however avocado was not ripe and the 'wood fired toast was definitely put through a traditional electric grill.

Gone downhill, menu prices gone up significantly especially the desserts. $12 for a small slice of cheesecake plus I paid more to substitute the ice-cream for berries

I booked a table for a family gathering of 20 and ordered the banquet. The staff were absolutely fantastic and catered to all our needs. They were prompt and friendly. The food was delicious and filling. We had such a fantastic night and had no complaints. Thank you for the great service, food and atmosphere. I and my family members will definitely be back.

Stumbled across this restaurant with my partner after a nice evening at the beach. The atmosphere was relaxed, waiters were prompt and the Mediterranean food was beautiful. Lovely fresh seafood cooked with authentic Greek flavours. Would return here again :)

Went for brunch. Everyone was happy with their food but a definite issue was the heat. We were told that the air conditioning was on but not coping because they had the sliding doors open. Not very pleasant and definitely a negative.

Went here for breakfast with my husband. Staff were friendly and service was so quick! Coffees were nice. Hubby had big brekky which he enjoyed. I had pancakes and was very disappointed.. pancakes weren't nice and I have the impression they came straight out of a packet rather than freshly cooked. If it werent for coffee and service Id rate this a 1.

I’ve heard from the boyfriend about their huge portions, so Felipe Bedeschi Correa Loureiro and I decided to share but still over ordered.

The dip and warm bread was a good start, charred and savoury, it is very delicious.
The pasta is creamy and the fettucine is thick and chewy. Loved it so much!
Thought the salad was more of a side portion, but we were so wrong.
They were very generous with the haloumi!

A great place for very hungry people, menu is also very extensive.

Used to come here a lot in the early 00’s and have been back a few times the last 12 months or so. As always very impressive food, from lunch to dinner & breakfast great food and the portions are a big winner plus the inside restaurant is nice too

I went to this place only for the view it offers. The Brighton-le- sands beach facing me and the calm breeze blowing. Perfect start to a beautiful morning. The menu and the food seemed pretty reasonably priced and quite healthy. They tasted well and we're presented equally well.

The pancackes were quite fluffy and airy just the way I asked for it. The ricotta and blueberry compote option is way better than the chocolate drizzle.

Hot chocolate had the essence but lackef the richness it should have. The chai latte however had nailed it.
The food was good. The parents of children not so much. There appeared to be absolutely no control over kids the night I was here. It was so loud we could not hear each other speak.

Once upon a time this place used to be the leader of cafes in Brighton, now I feel it trades on its pay and has nothing new to offer which is such a shame when you consider its location and setting.

The food is still good but not brilliant and a little over priced for what's on offer

Mezes is a great restaurant specialising in Greek cuisine. Staff are lovely, food is delicious & their frappe rocks on a warm Summers evening whilst watching the sunset views of Botany bay..One dish I order regularly is the mediterranean omellette - chunky omellette with olives, feta, tomato & ham & ample portion size. Relaxing scenery..parking is conveniently located. Been here a few times & felt comfortable every time.

Mezes have very profession service and amazing food but there food is far too expensive and very dirty, last time I went I found hair in mine. Enjoy!!!

Only recently discovered this place despite living in the area for over a year. I initially was put off by the service but gave it another chance because I thought the food was above average; I am glad I did as it seems the bad service I got was a 1 off. Awesome relaxing location with water and planespotting (if you are into that) views.

Update 14/08 arrived at 1140 and was told only breakfast was available for next 20 mins 😳 and that lunch was not an option. Left scratching my head. Went to Neptune and was given a breakfast menu as well, asked for a lunch menu and was given a "no problem sir" Mezes move from 4 to 3.

I have been to Mezes many times over the years as I used to live in the area. The food and service is always good as are the desserts. They make a really good frappe too which not many places know how to make properly. This is a good cafe to go to for breakfast, lunch and dinner or even just for a coffee.

Went to grab food and drinks from Mezes in Brighton yesterday afternoon and the service was horrible, as soon as we walked in they judged us as if we had no money and couldn't afford anything there and the whole experience was uncomfortable and rude. The wait staff were very judgmental and we did not feel welcomed and quickly rushed our drinks so we could leave as soon as possible, we were planning on getting dinner but due to the bad service we didn't think this business deserved our money, unless you're 30+ and look like you're raking in the cash I would not recommend this place at all.

We didn’t have dinner at Mezes, but the big group of us walked all the way to its dedicated gelato section, Sweet Vanilla, for dessert. It was a small store, but there were enough flavour selection like your typical strawberry and chocolate, as well as more summery flavours like pineapple, watermelon and passionfruit. Lower fat options are marked as such. We got a scoop of Nutella and a scoop of cookies & cream in a cup; the others got their big scoop in their waffle cones. That poor staff had to dig out over a dozen gelato balls. As usual, sweet food doesn’t do much for me, but we all still enjoyed it even though the night was getting windy and chilly.

This place has the WORST WORST WORST WORST service EVER!!!!! They get along time to get seated, the staff are just horrible and don’t really want to serve you… When they take your order, it’s like they don’t want to be here… BUT! Their desserts are lovely… I wanted to try because I always got to Bay Vista, and thought it’ll be nice to try somewhere else at Brighton le sands and I wasn’t dissapointed…The crepes were nice…you know how much I love my crepes!! So prepare yourself for bad service, but get ready for very nice desserts!!! http://www.mezes.com.au/

Roasted mushrooms are the winner in this breakfast offering - the BB@ Panini - which has haloumi placed under the poached eggs. Licensed, with an espresso bar, open from 7am till late, Mezes is one of the main stays in Brighton Le Sands. It offers a varied menu, influenced by Greek and Mediterranean traditions and inspirations, but also having a modern Australian core. Andy introduced me to this place, initially with breakfasts but then later with dinner. Guests can sit facing the normally placid Botany Bay but also the varying levels of traffic on the main road to Sydney Airport and the CBD. The most recent time I was there was on a Tuesday evening and I was delighted to find the place almost full. The coffee is strong but has kick, whether day or night. The ambiance is subdued and mostly comfortable. The variety of New Zealand wines is noted but also the friendliness of the staff. Haha, we are almost seated at the same table every time I go there. I acknowledge regulars at breakk

Now called Bianco. Same owner.

A great place to grab some food and a coffee whole sitting back and watching the people around you or the planes arriving and departing from Sydney airport!

Average. Mezes is ok for a quick coffee or have a brunchy bite to eat. The views of Botany Bay and Sydney airport invite you to relax. The food can be very yummy, as can be the coffee, both are reasonably priced. If you sit outside, you'll have to deal with traffic noise from 4 lanes, and inside the music can be a tad loud making it difficult to relax and unwind. Recommended as a eat and run restaurant.
