Review Souvlaki Bar - Brighton le Sands

Best place in Sydney for an authentic kabah. I highly recommend going there, you will not regret it. I was told they've been in business for 35 years, and I understand why.

Don’t waste your money here, so overpriced and has absolutely no flavour, just very very salty. Paid $19 for this ‘snack pack’ extra $3 for tabouli and an extra $1 for 2 sauces. Also paid $10 for this stingy skewers.

To begin, this place is not an inch close to it being greek. The lamb plate that I ordered was a snack pack which is of Lebanese origin, not greek. The meat was dry as well, not really impressed. The salad was not a salad, it was vegetables thrown together with no dressing. Not to mention that lettuce isn’t apart of a greek salad. I was disappointed as the food was not traditional Greek food, not worth my money.

The service was very slow. The gyros was below average and the chips were the worst, under cooked and oily. For what appears to be a Greek establishment, the food is a bad contrast to the food served in Greece. Definitely not eating here again.

Do not go here! Visited here last night based on a friends recommendation. Got the lamb yeeros, which was salty AF. So salty I couldn’t eat it, so had to throw it away. The lamb was over cooked and tough/chewy. Our theory was they cooked out all the bacteria to stop us from getting sick. I feel like my chances of heart failure, high blood pressure, kidney disease, kidney stones, osteoporosis, stomach cancer, and stroke have increased 10 fold since those few bites. Service was painfully slow. Don’t waste your time or money.

I have been coming here for 15 year but I will never be back again !!! Wat happened to this place use to be a vibe … now it’s hard enough just to order food without being yelled at by the lady. Been good till now - won’t be back won’t recommend at all.

What happen to this shop? Absolutely rubbish. Use to be a beautiful shop back in the days, the new owners have no clue. The food is salty and extremely over priced We got a $24 combo and a $18 combo and a water and we got charged $55... didnt realise till we got home. Very sad how this shop has become. Very stingy with the meat aswell Sorry i definitely dont recommend this shop go anyone and definitely not a greek souvlaki shop more like a chinese take away shop.

Haven't been there since 3 years ago. I think I'll give it another 10 years before I go again. That should give them enough time to bring their quality back to standard.

Honestly.. I don't like posting bad reviews but I had too.

Ordered a gyro from here, was looking forward to it as I've never tried Greek food.

Well, the bread was burnt, isn't the meat in the gyro meant to be quite thick? Mine were minced. (Prob to save a few bucks)

The lady worker over charged me. It stated on the menu this. Gyro+chips+tzatziki $10.

She made me my wrap with no chips in sight. I'm like chips? She said oh ok. Small?

Mhmm.

She asked if I wanted sauce in the gyro I said no, on the side please.

Well, she charged me for the chips and sauce.

Total $15..

Never again.

Currently sitting on toilet bombing my life away aswell.

Terrible scummy old woman who steals from customers in this Souvlaki Bar. She over charged us our $20 today and stole it! On top of that they charged us extra for the extras we didnt even ask for! Evil woman who calls herself a Christian and a sneaky husband serves a bad attitude and bad food! CHUMA TO THEM! Dont eat here unless you want to be ripped off and have gastro! Only hiving one star because I have too.

I can't remember the last time I had an unsatisfactory Yerros from the Souvlaki Bar in Brighton. Had another amazing beef Yerros with Tzatziki that hit the spot 100%

The place is relatively small but its clean. Tried the gyro and its actually pretty good. Love the pita! Will definitely come back again if i am in the area.

Ordered a chicken gyro and a chicken souvlaki pita.
Portion sizes are small in comparison to other gyro places however the food here tastes good.
They forgot to put hot chips in my gyro but since i've been trying to eat healthier lately i didn't complain this time. My sister liked the souvlaki pita but we both agreed the gyro is the tastier option of the two.
The food is a little over-priced for what you get but the owners are lovely. Whilst there are much better places in Sydney to go for a gyro, i would eat here again if i'm in the area and in the mood for one.

Love the souvlaki's here, great food and friendly staff and also a nice view to eat and watch over the beach. Reasonable prices, also they have renovated the place recently, it's disappointing that it's a long drive just to go and get a souvlaki.

How is this different from a kebab? Not sure, but it is Greek run and there yerros is good but almost $10 each. Had there feta bread and that was great! Overall the food is pretty good

Ambience wise it's a small shop with limited seats

Service wise the guy was very friendly and accommodating

My friend use to drive 1 hour to eat here and I can see why! It's worth it
