Review 10 Greek Plates - Brighton

Vanessa Wong-Lee
Trying out Greek food at @10greekplates, Brighton. Great vibes, friendly staff and great food. We tried their Hellenic platter for 1 which was so filling and full of flavour. The portions were so generous in terms of the chicken and the chips. Pita was so warm and tasty. The Greek salad was quite refreshing and came with a generous block of fetta cheese.

We had a wonderful time celebrating my husbands 60th birthday. There was awesome food, very generous portions, great service and the staff could not be more helpful. It was great value for money. Thanks for helping make our night special. We most definitely will return.

Absolutely fabulous. The food, atmosphere and customer service was excellent. I booked a table of 11 to celebrate Ester with my family. Everyone had such a good time and we are already planning the next function. Couldn't have asked for a better day. Thank you for taking such good care of us. Camelia x

I can honestly say that I have not received such amazing customer service for a very long time. Every single team member was friendly, helpful and just amazing! Food was amazing and very generous servings. Thanks for a lovely night last night.

I rated this place with 5 stars because I had outstanding customer service and food quality there. I had to order a lot of dishes and everything was quickly cooked and organised. Food was perfect. I'd recommend this place to my friend!

So disappointing, have been there twice before and was extremely impressed. Booked a table for 12 today mother’s day and was told we had a 2 hour sitting for lunch so we can only have a set menu, which I was happy about. We where on time and the food started coming out. all was going well until the desert came out and went to order a coffee and the staff said sorry we are out of coffee. Clearly they were trying to rush us out so they could prepare for their next sitting. I understand that’s it’s mother’s day and place was booked out but with a set menu of $80 per head surly they could serve us coffee. I asked for a greek coffee and they told us the coffee machine was broken. Will never visit this restaurant again. Ever!

I love this place. Fantastic authentic healthy greek food The souvlaki is to die for with fresh doughy pita bread wth lamb and chicken or both and the platters generous. A great range of craft beers. It has a modern Greek vibe and charming host and owner Bill who treats you like royalty. Great for a quick meal or large group dining. Week ends are packed so book ahead or if waiting for a table there is a bar inside and a wine bar across Martin St that fires up on weekends. Enjoy

10 Greek Plates is awesome. The food is absolutely delicious and is very well priced for the quality of food that is served. Highly recommend it and I'll be going back again for sure.

Everything we had from the first bit of fish right thru to Greek donuts was excellent as well as the attentive service

It was our first time there. We loved it. The service was extremely friendly and helpful and the food fresh and tasty. Thankyou. We will definitely be back.

Looked at the menu online with a work colleague , google said that you were open until 10pm. We arrive on our lunch beak at 1;15pm and the door was shut, although a male was standing inside there behind the counter just staring at us. 5 minutes later he walked over to half open the door and poke his head out to tell us they don’t open until 5pm. There was another person standing at the door as well waiting, so 3 in total. I told the guy that we saw that google showed they were open and he said “yeah thats old hasn’t been updated” i told him to maybe update it then and he said ok and shut the door on the 3 of us. No customer service. Rude worker. Now eating down the road somewhere else where workers actually have manners

The best place ever. Nothing too much trouble. Food is delicious.
Rebecca Max
Intimate restaurant. Family feel with excellent customer service. Catered beautifully for our vegan guest and made it easy to have a big group. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Richard Pavlov
Busy Greek restaurant serving good quality food. Customer service was excellent! Will be back.
Phat Ninja
A nice Greek place for the area where you can pop in for a meaty souvlaki, and eyeball grilled sausage platters with giant lamb meatballs coming out of the open kitchen. Attentive service too.
Jan
Food was pretty tasteless which is very unusual for Greek food.
Prices are overpriced unless you are getting a $12 souvlaki.
Greek doughnuts were overcooked and were hard as rocks.

Booked our table through the Zomato app, booking confirmation revived , turned up and they said they did not revive the confirmation, was a Saturday night , so crazy busy , but we waited 10 min and they got us a table , it’s very noisy there , but that was ok , the staff are very friendly , the food was ok , I thought the lamb was a bit tough , saganaki was nice and king prawns were very good . Will be back to give another try.

Because of the location, you might overlook 10 Greek Plates, but here's why you shouldn't ... The food is delicious. Ok, so I tend to stick to the same food most times I eat here (the Nana Mouskouri souvlaki, which is Gyros chicken, wrapped with chips, onion, tomato and a chef's sauce), but it's really good and always spot on.

Be warned: the restaurant is LOUD ... and I'd say it's a bit on the small side considering the amount of tables they try and fit in. But the service is good, and the food is on point and parking isn't too hard. The decor is nice and if you love Greek food, you can't go far wrong trying it here. It's not a place for a romantic date or catching up with anyone who's hard of hearing, but it's a nice hidden gem in Brighton, and worth a visit for sure.

We chose the $60 banquet and the 6 of us had to fight over the small quantity of food that was put on the table. I do not think I have ever been to a Greek restaurant and left so HUNGRY!

We all felt like we were ripped off with hardly any food for the cost, we just thought more would come out, we were wrong the small quantity that came out was it. We left disappointed and we all went down the road to have a local pizza. Not happy.
Jodie Pham
This place has amazing meat platters and the serving size is quite generous! Love the loukamedis dessert definitely recommend. Very small venue though.
Danica Tanica
So lucky to have 10 Greek Plates as my local souvlaki joint. The food and decor are great, and prices are reasonable. The restaurant always has a vibrant atmosphere / energy, and the staff are super friendly! 5 stars without a doubt.

Spectacular. We had a group dinner (10 people) with a set menu tonight and we couldn't be happier. Each course was perfectly cooked and delicious and the set menu was very generous. Special mention goes to the freshly cooked pita, lamb and chicken souvlaki and grilled flathead. Yummo). The staff were warm and friendly and definitely added to the feel of the night. Thanks Bill for being so hospitable. We had a fantastic dinner and we'll be back with all our families.

Bad news. Well, recently ordered takeaway. $24 for octopus. I got 2 strips of octopus no salad, no nothing. Bad value in my view.
I felt ripped off frankly.
Totally turned off.
Seems like they are getting too popular and it’s going to their heads.

months ago review...dine in...
Everything was lovely. Great food and plenty of it, good service, nice surroundings and atmosphere. We had a nice time there. I will return. It deserves a better overall score than it has currently. Thank you.

Have since ordered take away quite a few times and unfortunately, they are now using oversalted sausage meat in their souvlakis instead of real lamp meat chunks. How disappointing!!!
It’s turned us off. Sorry guys at 10 plates! ... perhaps you can improve from here.

We’ll, ordered take away, octopus, cost $24 for 2 pieces

Amazing selection of greek food , dory fish special was spectacular . Very swift and friendly service And to finish off order the donuts but beware no one person can finish the dish

Called in here for dinner. The service was excellent, absolutely spot on! For e.g. I accidentally dropped a fork (that I wasn’t using) and it was picked up instantly! Wow...

I had a Greek beer which was nice but it was the food that I was really after. I decided to buy a gyros and it was absolutely delicious. One of the best that I’ve ever had... yummmmm hahaha

The flavours were there, fresh and tasty! It was sooo good. But it wasn’t cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for. Lol

On a hot & balmy Melbourne night 10 Greek plates was a good option. Unfortunately a booking error meant sitting outside, with unwanted guests both flies & puppies from nearby walkers. Reassured that air con wasn’t functional inside the venue we ordered a meat platter & village salad. Salad was delicious! Just really yum. The meat platter was just ok. With Oakleigh only 15 mins away from this venue I say it’s a better option. Tzatziki very notable mention beautiful dill flavours, but a small small pot for a meat platter does not suffice.

Was looking for a local greek eat and found this place. I went for the staple lamb gyros and while it was presented nicely, I felt for the money it was a little on the small side. The flavors were good but a little on the dry side. What you'd generally find in a mall...maybe it was because it was so busy, there's no denying that it's a popular place. However the atmosphere didn't have that "Opa!" I was looking for.
Foodinfocusz
Just after a quick snack, we came across 10 Greek Plates and decided to give it a try. The dishes we had were nicely presented and tasty and we will definitely return when we have more time to try some of their Greek cuisine.

Went here for dinner with my family about a week ago. The service was fast and the food was really good! We had calamari to start with and some lovely moscato. I shared the lamb gyros and a lamb souvlaki with my sister and they were both amazing (and super filling too) !

Super delicious ! Amazing Greek food. Everything is so fresh. The meat platters were sensational and the portion size very generous. The Greek salad amazing. Great atmosphere and vibes. The owner very passionate and knowledgeable of the food and what to order. Will see you again.

Amazing! The owners and wait staff are very friendly, the food is absolutely delicious and the Baklava martini is to die for! Really makes you feel at home!

Fantastic restaurant and atmosphere. Great menu at a very reasonable price. Great food, wine and service. The decor is lovely. Service was impeccable. Will be back again...again...and again. Definitely worth a visit if you haven't been.

Not very pleasant. Gyros plate ( the meat ) tasted like it was a few days old and not hot out. It's a lot of money for that to be happening. Maybe its my fault as i was there early in the night( but we know its not )
Food Lover
An arrogant owner that doesn't listen to his customers and wants to decide himself what they should eat ! Calamari were great , meat was not the best I've had !

Have been here several times and it never fails to deliver. Great local eatery, attentive staff, lovely friendly atmosphere. Just good greek food and great wine!!
Delicious!!! Sat outside but great heaters so wasn't even cold. Great service and food came out so fast. They were fully booked when we arrived and almost had to leave but they managed to find a spot for us before a reservation arrived.

Doesn't allow me to give it zero so a 1 will do. Just made it through the front door only to be told by the manager, that our confirmed restaurant booking was not actually available and most have been an error. No apology, no suitable alternative offer, no intelligence on how to run a front of house operation. Just took a photo of my phone as a souvenir or to keep for his personal collection of how many customers has annoyed. The manager will make some shitty excuse but not interested. You need to employ experienced staff to run front of house, not some mate. I'm sure your food is fantastic from one Greek to another, but will never know with people like that at your front door.

I have just moved to Brighton and started to explore the restaurants and cafes in the area. First up is 10 Greek Plates - as this place is always buzzing!!! And it's literally outside my front door so it being so conveniently located to my house is actually dangerous as the food here is just delicious!!!
I had a family lunch here and the staff were more then accomodating as we had a pram so they made sure we had a table with room for them and for us as it's not all that big inside.

Everyday dish was faltless! The share platters are such a great idea. We shared a platter for 4 between 5 people ( 3 males that a big eaters ) and we had a few entrees also and we were all so full! Couldn't finish it all! The food is generously priced - very impressive!
- highly recommend!
Roger Smithson
Brilliant! The servings are generous. The staff are amazing. They know their menu and can make excellent recommendations. My only improvement would be to open the windows in the evening as the smoke and cooking smell can dominate through the restaurant. But apart from that, yummy!

We ordered via UberEats & the $19 calamari is a COMPLETE rip off. We received what seemed to be the dregs of the fryer baskets - so disappointing.
Elizabeth
10 Greek Plates is booked out every night and when you go there for dinner you can really understand why. The meat platter is always tasty and extremely generous (even between 4 adults we can never finish it), the saganaki is the best I've ever had, the staff are wonderful, and the atmosphere is great too. Keep it up 10 Greek Plates :)

I called to book a table for 2 at 10 Greek Plates and specified that my wife and I are vegan. Despite very little vegan choices on the menu, I was told that they could accommodate our dietary requirements. So, when we arrived we were seated and given menus. The waitress, upon being asked about vegan choices, only found the salads on the menu could meet our requirements. The manager then came out and told us not to worry, he would bring out a vegan meal.
What he brought out was an amazing plate of grilled eggplant on a bed of chickpeas with herbs and spices to delight the senses! I thought I would just get something off the menu minus the non-vegan ingredients but what the chef put together was a whole new meal which would give any vegan restaurant a run for their money.
I very much appreciated the effort and thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
And on a final note, just to complement everything nicely, they have my favourite Greek beer, Mythos.

Loved the food! We shared the prawns and the meat plate! I especially enjoyed the prawns and the beautiful salad that came with it! We both left feeling very full!
Gastrology
To celebrate the festive season, Gastrology recently attended a wonderful Greek island inspired share style Christmas dinner at 10 Greek Plates in Brighton. . To begin the feast, we were treated to some delicious starters such as the fluffy and soft pita breads with accompanying dips, and the traditional saganaki and grilled haloumi which had a lovely texture with the citrus of the freshly squeezed lemon juice cutting through the cheese to perfection. The Yasou calamari was also a delight to taste as the fresh calamari was tender and was complemented by a fresh greek slaw.

This was our first visit. Service was very friendly although I really didn't appreciate them taking our plates away before we had even finished. They came so many times trying to take our plates while we were obviously still picking, especially when it was after 9pm and there were empty tables. They even came a cleaned the table with a sponge while we were finishing off our (very expensive) wine(it didn't need it ), which made us so uncomfortable. The entrees were delicious and everything was nicely presented. For this type of restaurant not to have BYO and charge min $40 a bottle, I would not return in a hurry as it made the cost $50 a head which is a bit of the steep side. The food was good and food prices reasonable though.
Saladzzz
We had the lamb and chicken souvlaki for lunch and they were pretty good. Fast service. Staff was attentive but can be more friendly. We will be back again.

Went here with a Greek family so got given the royal treatment. To start with, the calamari is amazing and fresh, as is the bread, dips are delicious but when are they ever not. The haloumi or maybe it was saganaki you could probably go without. All you really need is a souva though. The biggest mistakes that can happen with souvas are not enough sauce, poor dispersion of fillings, dry meat or too much bread. Here, you won't find any issues. The bread is fresh and perfectly chewy, the fillings generous and juicy and the sauce gets nice and mixed up all in there. I personally always go for mixed even though its not on the menu, they will be happy to do it anyway. Order chips too or regret it forever, they are amazing!

We were unimpressed with our meal. The lamb was dry, the zucchini fritters under cooked. (we informed them of this and, thankfully, they took this off the bill). The fish as described by the staff wasn't what came to the table. Does a Greek salad HAVE to have big huge chunks of bland tomato in it? Where is your imagination? Hasn't a little of George rubbed off on you? We felt we were eating mediocre Greek (takeaway) food and paying top dollar. And with the footy blaring away behind us. Were we in a pub? The place seemed to be masquerading as a restaurant.
Paulinelovesfood
Wonderful attentive service, especially for a busy Mother's Day.

Food was fast, fresh and fabulous and the host was extremely friendly with good explanations of all dishes.

The bread was soft and delicious with the dips. The john dory fish was tender, tasty and cooked beautifully. The salt and pepper calamari was fresh and palatable. The grilled haloumi was a refreshing change to the usual saganaki.

We were too full to enjoy the meat platter but it was presented beautifully. Great baklava and coffee was a terrific end to the meal.

Reasonably priced for a great set menu. Will definitely be coming here again.
Emily
Good Greek food, great even, at times. But overall for a Greek restaurant so close to oakleigh I don't think that it was exceptionally better- considering the price jump.
Coffee And Food Enthusiast.
Definitely the better souvlakis I've had. Loved the bread, was soft and fluffy, love the chips it and the mustard aoli goes with chicken much better than tzatziki so im glad it didnt come with tzatziki. The only things that could use improving is It was slightly too oily and I felt the chicken had a but too much fat for me, not sure if it's a once off or not, would definitely go again.

CAUTION Disappointed/Stung.

Sorry to say I left disappointed and with a feeling of having been stung. Having had a couple of recommendations about this place and having failed to get a table on a couple of previous occasions, a group of 6 of us met at 10 Greek Plates on a Saturday night. Overall the decor was good, it was full and the ambiance OK. The restaurant was hot (exacerbated by being close to heat lamps on service counter).

The food was generally nice and service attentive, but my main complaint is how I felt when the bill arrived. Having barely had the menus for 5 mins, the waiter offered to "help" by suggesting he arrange food for us; Saganaki, Calamari & Zucchini Fritters to start, and a meat platter for 3 as "that would be plenty, their serves being large", some fish and a salad for main. The waiter then left us, and we had a very brief look at the menus. We decided we had not enough interest in the Zucchini Fritters, so when the waiter returned I agreed to go ahead with his suggestion, but without the Zucchini Fritters.

We had and enjoyed the meal, the food was good, but the overall experience felt a little rushed (I'm pretty sure they wanted our table).

When we received the bill $285.50. I was surprised enough by its magnitude to check it item by item (I expexcted $200-$250 max). I found 3 culprits:

1. 2 x serves of Calamari (we'd only asked not to have the Zucchinni Fritter, not to have it substituted) - I fell we received about 1.5 fair serves.

2. The meat platter for 3 was $64. Having looked at their menu today, I can't work out this costing, a platter for 2 is $40 = $20/serve, for 4 it is $75, $18.75/serve, but for 3 (which just so happens to not be a listed menu item) it works out at $21.33/serve.

3. But is was the fish which I though was really a con, it was $84 for 3 serves - that's $28 per serve (again it just so happens not to be on the menu!). For $84 we received six small pieces of fish (albeit very nicely flavoured and cooked) with no sides etc!

I don't recall the price of the salad (Cos lettuce and Cucumber), but I'm seeing a pattern. I suspect, as the waiter went to the effort of telling me the "salad was a new item to the menu", that the unlisted price of that might have been on the high side?

The same waiter also made specific mention of my option to add a tip as I paid with the credit card machine, which I did - Fool! I also somehow ended up without the receipt, which I normally keep?

I didn't complain, mainly as I didn't want to spoil a nice evening with good company, but in hindsight it has left a bitter taste in my mouth. We won't be returning. Beware the 'helpful' waiter!!
Jes
Great service. Very friendly and was pretty much on the ball. Took awhile to get a few drinks and had to ask three times for the bill. Food was fantastic, the starters were Devine but the meat was just ok. presentation was impressive. Beautiful little spot. Was a great night to sit outside.
Darren Borg
I can't say that I've eaten many souvlaki's in my life and it was nice to eat one before 4am, and not to mention this one was pretty damn good. The meat was still juicy and the vegetables fresh.
Peter McConnell
"Have you eaten here before?" - the owner asked us three times at various points. We should have taken this as a pointer to how much he listens to customers....

Our table had dietary requirements - one glute free, one no red meat, one no dairy. As we tried to order, the owner kept telling us what we should have "because I want you to have what we do well". If you don't do it well, don't put it on the menu.

The food came out and was pretty good. We ordered a king prawn main as an entree for the table - $28 for four prawns is a bit steep, don't you think? That aside, the food was good value as is the wine list.

But predictably, amongst the confusion of ordering, the calamari main my wife ordered never appeared. This left her with precious little to eat other than chips and salad. Thankfully it didn't appear on the bill either, meaning that the owner just wasn't listening to his customers, just preoccupied with his own voice. The over familiar joke he cracked walking past our table when we first sat down - at our expense - wasn't appreciated either.

All in all, this is a restaurant that could be sensational. It is let down by an arrogant owner with a tin ear who needs to understand that the customer is (almost) always right.
Lauren Toxy
Was here last weekend and definitely coming back! The food was outstanding - my favourites were the calamari and saganaki for entrees, and the platter for 2 for mains, which has a little bit of everything and is very generous. The atmosphere and service was unfaultable - even when it was busy we always felt we were being looked after. Coming back in two weeks, but with a booking next time! Even though we walked in on a busy night, they managed to fit us in. A fantastic night.

The share plates are yum and great value. Delicious mix of souvlaki meat. Friendly, welcoming service. Looking forward to our next visit. Thanks 10 Greek Plates!
Mark Landells
Had a dinner here with a couple of friends. Service is quite attentive and friendly. We took the advice of the owner on food which turned out quite well. Three entrees to share followed by a mixed main course. Food was tasty but nothing special.
Glenn
The food here is pretty good. The Greeks always do a BBQ well ... We had the saganaki which is always good, the artisan Greek sausage which was moist and cooked well. The Greek zucchini fritters were a little oily and the spiced lamb a little dry, although the flavours were great.
The guy who runs the show is a real character with a great attitude and worth going just for him..
It's not cheap but a good representation of Greek cuisine
Russell Brenner
Awful over cooked, expensive food. Avoid.

Ordered half a dozen or so dishes for takeout, there was little to differentiate them, they were bland and dry.

To top it all off, the pricing for what we received was totally disparate with its quality.

There are $20 all-you-can-eat Greek joints north of the city that have infinitely better food than 10 Greek Plates.
Tommi
VERY DISAPPOINTED ! We have been there twice once dine in and once take out. The meat was so salty it was impossible to eat. We thought ok teething problems but when we got take out chicken and lamb gyros it looked like yesterday's dried up leftovers it was black. And Again it was salty. Never again.

Terrible service & terrible food!. What a disappointment is 10 Greek Plates!
My wife booked a table for 7.00pm tonite (27th May). We arrived just before 7.00 to be told by the owner Andrew 'Oh, I've given your table away, but I will arrange another table...so after waiting 10 minutes he offered us a table right next to the door where the wind blows in. Being a cold night, I said this was unacceptable so he finally rearranged settings and gave us another table that was so small there was no room for the plates. No apology as this was the only option available.
When our food arrived, it was not what we had ordered, then he had the audacity to argue it was what we ordered but he said he would replace it. So after another 15 minutes our main meal arrived, again not what we ordered, but we accepted it. The lamb was very fatty, and they forget the chips and the Takziki. Finally the other bits arrived with the chips being overcooked.
The ambiance is very poor with tables jammed so close to each other, very poor service from the actual owner! My recommendation is go elsewhere if you expect an enjoyable meal.

10 Greek plates 10/10!!. I came here mid-week with a few girlfriends after hearing that they had won the Street Feud this year. I was not disappointed, me and the girls ordered the meat platter for two with the Greek slaw and beetroot salad. The chicken and lamb were divine, tender, juicy and seasoned well. The salads were fresh, the Greek slaw a generous size, lovely and zingy, and the beetroot and feta rich and filling. Would have loved to have tried the rest of the small but adequate menu. Definitely will be back.

We were hoodwinked - and won't be back.. Our party of 6 arrived at 7:55 pm last night and were assured that we would have a table by 8:30. BIG mistake, So we sat at a table outside, in the cold, patiently waiting. At around 8:45 a table became available and other people took it and we were advised that they had booked it. Fair enough, but we should have been told this at 7:55, as this was now almost an hour later. As it was late, we reluctantly ordered food, which arrived in record time. Still no table for us so we sat and ate in the cold.

If they had been HONEST with us and told us the truth at the outset, we could have made an informed decision, but we feel we were deceived into staying. We won't be back.

Great night. Went to ten Greek plates the other night amazing service and fantastic food must have zucchini fritters and prawns

Not sure what's happened to this place, I've had souvlaki there before and it's been very good I had it there tonight and it was absolutely amazing. good work 10 greek plates

Update 11/2
Had souvs from here twice before and they were very good. The one I had today was terrible, full of fatty and burnt meat. Total garbage. Sorry guys, it was so bad I won't be coming back.

Great Greek food, awesome souvlakis, just hope they load up on sauce as there is no lettuce.. The calamari pack is awesome and tastes fresh as
Caslittle
Best Greek to date. Have tried lots of Greek restaurants over the years and think this one even tops George's Tavern in East Malvern.
The restaurant was packed but service was spot on. No waiting for hours, and the food was great. Calamari tender and tasty, Slaw a great touch and the chips well yummo.
Also shared meat platter and dips. All excellent.

Worst Meal and Service I have ever had. Went to the restaurant last night (Saturday 7th). Menu said spice lamb, turned out to be highly salted sausage. Fish ordered by one of the table served with no salad, no dressing, no chips and when we asked, no one cared enough.
I was asked by the waiter if I enjoyed the meal - three of us ordered it, all three left 80% on the plate - didn't care nor did he do anything after said it was poor.
At the till - when we paid - we were asked if the meal was good. I told the lady how disgusted we were. She shrugged her shoulders. And the owner or senior person was there, he also wasn't interested.

Lastly. Asked for coffee told they don't have a coffee machine.

My best advice - give this place a miss. It doesn't even deserve 1 star

Greek Slaw take away size is a joke. This is a serious joke - 9 bucks for a 1/4 cup of cabbage.
It is a massive rip off and I wont be going back...I'll just make my own for 3 bucks!

-----07 Mar, 2015-----

We ordered the meat platter for 2 and I was a generous size. We also added the Greek slaw, which was yummy but the too much oil for my liking. The meat was smokey, the bread was delicious and the sausages were divine. Our chips were still got by the time we go home. Glad we live around the corner from 10 Greek plates.

We love this place. Order your food from the wine larder over the road and have it delivered :) we love the meat platter for one and share between 2 people. $18 for 2 people is amazing value. Saganaki is the best I have eaten.

While the food is ok but horrendously expensive for what you get, the service is appalling. Unless your Greek or a family member of the owners, don't expect any staff to acknowledge you. Such a shame about the actual dining room, you can hear the next table chew their food...feels like a really bad food court.

Simply outstanding in a Sea of Mediocrity!. A few dishes done to perfection. A welcoming atmosphere for the family. Excellent value.

Dissapointed .... Hard to find words... decor A1... does not mean you can get away with over charging for sub par quality and size.. once the novelty of being new in brighton fades there might not be much of a draw left for this place... as far from being the best greek resteraunt I can possibly imagine...

Sooooooo slow. If you are getting take away, add 30 minutes to the time they tell you.

FANTASTIC DEFINITELY GO TRY!!!. What a wonderful evening I had tonight at 10 Greek Plates, Not only is it the BEST Souvlaki and Meat platter I've ever eaten, the lovely staff made our night unforgettable especially the lovely blonde girl with the fringe and the girl with red hair what an asset they are to your restaurant. FANTASTIC WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!!

Not bad if you live locally and really couldn't be bothered travelling to Oakleigh. Servings not as generous in size as traditional Greek restaurants usually are. Saganaki was nice, souvlaki was meh.

Great addition to Martin Street. Went to 10 Greek plates for dinner tonight and it was really good. This restaurant is relaxed and inclusive, the service fast and efficient and although the menu is restricted the food is pretty good. I especially liked the Calamari - it was fresh and crispy. The kebabs look great and would make a different choice for take-away or lunch. The owners are involved with their customers and helpful. I liked the atmosphere here and how it adds to that special vibe of Martin street.

Amazing food, great atmosphere. Went last night and thought, wow, what a great place to have in your local area. Souvlaki was the best I have ever had. $10 super value. Atmosphere was buzzy without being over the top or too crowded. Wine from over the street, beer on tap. The guy running it never stopped, really friendly top service, prompt without being pushy. What more do you want, great food, top service, good value and all in a trendy little part of Brighton. These guys have nailed it.

I just added up what we ordered. Should have cost $84. They changed us $98.
The owner made a recommendation so we didn't even look at the menu, this must have been an invite to overcharge us. Beware.

-----24 Oct, 2014-----

Not a real Greek restaurant just, over priced souvlaki on a plate with a few common side dishes. Food cost about 35 per head for about $20 worth of food. Great service and atmosphere and unique for this area but there are 30 places like this in oakleigh which are as good and better and more fairly priced.

Only ok. Got take away souvlaki. Acceptable, but nothing special. Wouldn't race to return.

Worst service ever!. I was really looking forward to going here as I had heard positive reviews about it. Lets just say I won't be going back. The waiter/owner was so ridiculously rude that we were hardly able to enjoy our food. He even tried to kick us out because potential customers were walking past and he was trying to get them to come in. As a Greek myself I can also say that the food was nothing special. Better off going to one of the many other better Greek restaurants in Melbourne that actually know how to treat their customers!

Martin street needed a place like this!. Awesome food, awesome service, and awesome atmosphere! Delicious share meals and the souvlakis are exactly what we needed around the gardenvale area - definitely returning and highly recommended!

Delicious food... Happy people... Incredible place.. What else could u ask for!!!

Tasteless. Tiny serves, minced meat rather than lamb cubes in the souvlakis, no lettuce. Shocked that this establishment is run by Greeks. I would be embarassed to serve this up as Greek food.

Loving it!. Amazing souvlaki, great atmosphere, byo wine from the wine bar across the road and lots of delicious starters. Highly recommend!
