Review Fox In The Box - Brighton

Scott Puddy
Great concept, but patchy quality. 4 of us dined this week, entrees and mains arrived as they were cooked so 5-10 minutes between first and last person served. The salmon was lovely, but the steak very disappointing and the calamari was more like a plate of chips with a few bits of calamari and I can get better GF bread from the supermarket that doesn’t go rock hard in 5 minutes

First time in Fox in the Box, and you have to give it a try! It’s the cutest little spot with amazing FODMAP - suitable for my hubby who has IBS. The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again.

Wonderful and kind service, delicious food and how amazing to have a place with a menu that delivers on so many dietary requirements. Even purchased the FODMAP friendly 100s and 1000s!

Amazing. Worth driving a few extra clicks to get here. Haven't been for a few years but it's still excellent!!!! Had GF Parma. 10 out of 10. Had Lemon Meringue. 11 out of 10.
Judy Kelly
Friendly staff, for those who have dietary requirements this cafe is a very good option. The award winning “lemon meringue tart” was terrific.

As a GF Plus Other Stuff person this place is great. Fine dining food but relaxed casual atmosphere. No worries for me, no compromise for my partner! The reason is simple, they know their stuff and it is fine dining level, great tasting food!

Tried the Fox in the Box's homemade *Butter Chicken sauce, *Red Thai Curry Paste and *Teriyaki Sauce - all were AMAZING!!! Made cooking a breeze knowing it was allergy friendly and great quality - and the curry was mild with lots of flavour which I loved. I returned the jars tonight, stocked up on some more and will be back again! Thanks for allowing us to fine dine all week FITB!! Can't wait to try new sauces! Keep it up! :) ps. also loved the (gf df onion and garlic free) chicken parma tonight w fries - absolutely delicious as always!!

The food was delicious, beautifully presented and the menu was full of choices I felt very at ease to eat anything regardless of being on a low FODMAP diet and having a corn intolerance. The waitress knew exactly what went into the food and was very helpful and hospitable. Would definitely come again and perhaps order some pre-made frozens too!

My friend (non gluten free) and I (Coeliac) just had dinner at Fox in the Box ... and it was yummy!! Both of us thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent food and it was so nice to be able to go to a restaurant and order anything from the menu (we had crumbed calamari, chicken parmigiana and a vanilla slice with ice cream for dessert) and I didn't have to ask about cross contamination or quiz the waitress about whether there was gluten in my meal ... great food, great service, great company, great night! Will def go back!

Amazing food! So very tasty! So lovely to find such a gem where we could eat everything on the menu and for it to be sooooo flavoursome, the chef is amazing to have come up with such wonderful food that’s intolerance friendly as well - I’m in awe! Even those without intolerances would rave about the food - it’s that good! So thrilled to have found this place. Needs to move to Perth though ;)

My first visit was a huge let down. My 20 hour steak worth $37 was literally a huge chunk of chewy meat with 3 polenta chips which were so overcooked it was like a oily brick. And that's it no green or anything. The other food served on my table was not much better. Very poor presentation-- eggplant schnitzel was 2 slice of crumbed eggplant on a huge bed of fries with a clump of rocket and 1 cherry tomato. Very poor pub food disguised as fine dining! Then at the end after complaints they charged us $5.50 cakage per person for the cupcakes we provided for our birthday celebration when all they did was carry the cupcakes to our table. Service was also very slow for such a small place our group did not all eat together. Would never go back!

I literally cannot remember the last time I was able to look at a menu and be able to select anything of off it. And what a menu. I deliberately selected something that I haven't had since I was first diagnosed - chicken parma - was so good! And the lemon meringue pie, omg if you touch my serve you're losing a finger! Service was great and had a good ol chat to Tim. Thanks for choc chip cookies - totes demolished!

Ordered the calamari. Chips were significantly over cooked and brittle to bite into. The rocket salad was well past it’s use-by. Most leaves were very wilted and some brown.<br/>Calamari itself was better, and the three sauces were okay (except the guac - was that from a tube?) <br/><br/>Prices on the menu are extremely expensive, so it’s not ideal for a family. Plenty of nearby restaurants and cafes that can offer better and cheaper meals by asking them to take out garlic/onion etc so that the meals are FODMAP friendly.

Excellent service. They knew we wanted to share the soup so they placed in 2 bowls, which made the whole dining experience easier and more enjoyable! The food were served in large portions so valued for money. Food tasted not bad too.

We’ve been waiting to eat here for quite a while and finally got to have lunch. We ordered the pie of the day (steak), salt and pepper calamari, and slow cooked lamb salad, these were enough to fill 3 stomachs. <br/><br/>The pie of the day was quite filling, the mince inside was a little bland however it was better with the ketchup. The crust was good, no complaints, not overly crispy or flakey and definitely didn’t fall apart. Overall it was pretty good and filling. <br/><br/>Salt and pepper Calamari was amazing! There was a heaped amount of calamari and came with three dipping sauces so definitely worth what you pay. The calamari wasn’t over cooked and ended up being a favourite to share with everyone. <br/><br/>Both dishes above came with shoe string fries and a moderately sized salad. The fries were crisp and delicious, a nice touch to everything and the salad was just the right amount, not too much that you can’t finish. <br/><br/>I love a salad but I’m always scared to order them in case I don’t like them, either because they’re bland or have too much vinegar. The lamb salad had a nice aioli dressing and the salad to meat ratio was surprising, there was quite a decent amount of meat (again, bang for your buck). The slow cooked lamb had crunchy and soft parts that were enjoyable and most importantly never dry. Definitely a highlight of this meal. <br/><br/>The atmosphere was comforting and home-y, a nice dining place and the service was terrific!

Let me start by saying I wish I could give a more positive summary of our experience. Supporting coeliac safe restaurants is so important. What’s more reviews like the following are avoidable when issues (bad days) are dealt with appropriately. <br/><br/>We have eaten at this restaurant 3 times as an extended family. Some of the meals are worth returning for - like the calamari. Others are really not. Whilst everyone can experience a bad day (like the lack of a barista so complete inability to make drinkable coffee) - it is not ok to ignore, downplay or excuse inedible meals as the customers fault. <br/><br/>On our most recent visit 2 of our 5 meals were inedible. We tried swapping dishes to see if other family members would eat them... but we were unanimous in our opinion. Upon collecting the plates the owner asked what the problem was and we attempted to discretely share our feedback. We were trying to be helpful. The owner proceeded to argue with our feedback (including clarifying ingredients with the kitchen). We were then advised that was our taste (ie our problem) and that the dish had been made 200x before (back to my original sentiment- everyone can have a bad day). There was no apology for disappointing food. There was no offer to return and try again. There was no suggestion of discount or recognition of any form. There was disdain and frustration at a legitimate attempt at helping a business I’d actually like to support. <br/><br/>Unfortunately, we will not be returning (not because of one bad day of food and coffee) but because of the awful response. <br/><br/>I wish this restaurant all the very best and hope that they can learn from this experience. After all, we desperately need good coeliac safe options.

Delicious food, lovely service. Amazing to have somewhere I can eat safely. The food is very tasty - the chef really understands flavour. The restaurant is kept nice and warm which is also lovely!

I am still learning this gluten-free schtick and can't claim to be able to tell what is "good" gluten-free from "average" gluten-free yet. However, I do know my calamari and this version was OK; nothing special, a little over-fried and rubbery for my liking. Mrs B had the warm lamb and quinoa salad and that was much better. What was *real* good was the lemon tart we shared afterwards. That is almost worth crossing the city for.

been wanting to try this place for years as they are always busy and the food concept seems interesting. was not disappointed. food was delicious and owner is friendly and staff helpful.<br/>thank you for the lovely dinner we had.

A real treasure find for those with food intolerances (and their friends who want to eat out with them). A delightfully varied menu to select from. Meals beautifully cooked and presented with eye appeal as well as taste. Healthy servings to leave everyone satisfied. Take your time to enjoy and you’ll leave smiling.

I have been meaning to check out Fox in the Box for years. Every time we head over to that side of town, I mention how we need to stop in but something seems to come up. So when I was over that way for the opening of Allergy Train I made sure there was nothing that would stop me from enjoying a delicious lunch.

Went out for a 40th and ordering meals for my wife can be a challenge. Tim (the 'intolerant chef') went out his way to make her dining experience wonderful; creating 2 completely off the menu dishes (he spent the time talking to her the day before to make sure all her needs were catered for). The dessert was so delicious I wasn't even offered a taste! It was the first time my wife had been excited about going out for a meal in more than 2 years. We will most definitely be going back. My Main and dessert were also amazing; some of the best ribs I have ever had.

This restraunt is fantastic!! The food is delicious and full of flavour (the pasta and parma are especially great!!) . As a person with an intolerance to onion and garlic, it is so nice to be able to order anything on the menu! The staff are so friendly and helpfull. I highly recommend this place!!

Great options for celiacs and people with lactose intolerance. Everything we had tasted great and found the staff to be very friendly. A restaurant closer to the city would be great.
Nick Lassig-Cutler
We shared the calamari entree then the duck and penne pasta for dinner between 3 of us. Then we shared two desserts - the dark chocolate pudding and the lemon meringue pie. It was all delicious - i loved every bite. My wife was particularly on cloud 9 as she could eat it all being gluten and lactose intolerant. Seriously, she was glowing for some time after the meal. It was even the first time she had had lactose free ice cream with a dessert in a restaurant - let alone a home made one like it was here! The staff were very friendly too. We wish there was a restaurant like this at home in Brisbane.

Was coming here monthly with a group of family. One night at fox in the box we had another group attack us, yelling and swearing at us. Keep in mind we had a 17 year old with us who suffers anxiety. The other groups behaviour was completely abhorrent and clearly alcohol played a part. The worst part though? The manager spoke to the other group for approximately 20 minutes and gave them free dessert, then waited until they’d left the restaurant to come and apologise to us. The way that he handled it was awful, and we will never bring our business to such a terribly managed restaurant, there are other FODMAP friendly restaurants where the food is better and the place has far friendlier management. Worst. Experience. Ever. If I could give this place a zero I would.

Worst grilled calamari salad ever. <br/>Chicken Parma was bland. <br/>Coffee was ok. Service was good. <br/>Haven't tried the rest of the menu so can't judge.

Best Parma I've ever had (granted I haven't been able to eat one in the 3 years since being diagnosed as Coeliac). Even my pub-Parma-loving partner agreed it was the best he's ever had. Simple atmosphere, great food and outstanding service. My new favorite local go-to!

We arrived at our booking time to a very friendly and hospitable waitress. We were given our menus and when she returned to take our order, I ordered salmon and she replied 'Oh I forgot to mention we are out of salmon'. We then changed our order and waited for a full hour before our meals arrived. <br/>My husband had ordered medium/well done steak and it arrived 'rare/medium'. My chicken schnitzel was dry, overcooked and tasteless with cold fries. After being reminded, our side order of beans arrived 15 minutes later when our meal was nearly finished. Understaffed and overpriced for what we got. A very disappointing experience.

Slow service on a very quiet night. The Chicken Parma was above average; however the 'Rustica' pasta dish was full of chunks of fat (approx 1/4 cup set aside & I only ate half the dish!). When I politely suggested that the waiter advise the chef, he returned to tell us "that's just the cut of meat". Disappointing as I have previously enjoyed the food at this restaurant.

So very disappointing. We came for a Saturday lunch with the Fodmap-challenged guest of honour, plus The Vegetarian. We had a voucher, but on arrival no one explained what was and wasn't included, which meant we spent an additional $45 we weren't expecting. To top it off, more than four items were unavailable, and breakfast stopped being served before 12. This left little choice to The Vegetarian, and he had to settle for a very light salad. Wines were very ordinary, as was dessert. I appreciate the sentiment behind this specialised cafe as it allows those who struggle to eat out a great alternative. But it's only great if it meets the usual standards you expect elsewhere.

My wife and I had dinner here and must say it's pretty good. The menu is completely FODMAP friendly and the services was great. The only down side about dinner was the quinoa side which was part of the roost lamb dish tasted a bit too lemony and was out of place next to the sweetness of the sauce.
Christine Stragalas
Fantastic! I had the lamb and my fiancee had the pork belly. Both were incredibly tasty. We then finished off with coffees and the lemon meringue tart and loved every bite. The staff were incredible, the atmosphere was great and we could not taste the lack of gluten, dairy and other allergens. We loved not having to ask what was in each dish- truly great not to be 'those people' at dinner. Would recommend to our friends for sure. Many thanks!
William
I love the Fox in Box!! Great Parma, amazing salmon! A salted caramel slice from out of this world! Ryan did a fantastic job serving us, we will be back for sure!
Sylverine
Awful! So disappointed - sloppy scrambled eggs smeared on nasty store-bought GF bread, horrid pesto, sour lukewarm coffee - charged $30 even though I hardly touched it and expressed my disappointment to the uninterested waitress. There's a reason it's empty...
Chelsea Fleming
The food is exorbitantly overpriced & underwhelming. $25 for a salt & pepper calamari that was little more than a bed of chips with salad, the mark up on this dish would be outrageous.<br/>The idea is wonderful, however in our experience lacking enthusiasm & unwilling to address issues/feedback, which in this industry would be a minimum expectation.<br/>Will not be returning.

How amazing is it that this unique establishment exists just a stone's throw away from my new home. Having been recommended to eat a dairy, gluten and fructose free diet it's almost impossible to eat out in a nice restaurant. This place caters to all my needs though! I had the beef ragu pasta and my boyfriend had the parma, both were really good! Very flavoursome meals thy had generous servings. I will say that I didn't feel like the gluten-free pasta was any different to what I'd buy from the supermarket and cook myself, which isn't that great..... It was highlighted in the menu has being pretty amazing so I guess I was disappointed with this. The chocolate pudding was gorgeous though, and especially the rice cream it came with! My boyfriend loved the caramel slice, but admittedly there was too much caramel in it for my liking as it was too sweet.

I am quite shocked to find so many negative reviews of this place. Last time I went there, which was on a whim about 2 weeks ago, I left feeling quite pleasant. Food was great. I ordered the Chicken Parma and asked if it was made using any onion or garlic at all and was very pleased to hear that everything was fodmap safe. The wait staff was very helpful and cheerful. I couldn't really find anything that was particularly wrong with the place. I personally think that perhaps it would be wise to apply empathy and to place your grievances forward to the staff members before blowing up in the reviews section. Everybody, calm down.

I was at Fox in the Box yesterday with 2 girl friends after seeing beautiful photos of their food on Urbanlist. I love the FODMAP concept as I have IBS and constantly need to watch what I eat.<br/><br/>I saw some bad reviews before coming but thought I'll need to try it for myself before judging. Upon arrival, the decor was so dated and not a cafe/restaurant that stood out if I was walking by. There was simply nothing special or creative about it.<br/><br/>I was first in and was seated with 3 menus. When my friends arrived, we ordered 2 beef pies (served with salad and french fries) and a traditional lasagna. The food came with no cutlery, it was very hard to wave down the staff, eventually I was able to get the waiters attention with my big wave. I wasn't sure what they were doing behind the counter but there wasn't many customers during the time I was there (12:30pm on Saturday).<br/><br/>The pastry on the beef pie was very nice but the filling was just plain "minced beef", no vegies, no gravy, so it was very dry. The pie was accompanied with a salad, it came with was just rocket leaves and 3 halved cherry tomotoes with a plain dressing (balsamic vinegar maybe).<br/><br/>The combination of dry pie, salad and french fries made me very thirsty, I then realised the waiter never offered us water on arrival. I then asked for water and ordered the affogato, I waited more than 5 minutes before seeing the waiter serving another table, and the other waiter cleaning empty tables! I waved at the waiter numerous times before catching her attention to ask when my water was coming. She responded with "oh we remember, we're just 'making it' now". The water eventually came and the affogato came shortly after.<br/><br/>The affogato was listed under the "dessert" menu, it surely wasn't the "dessert" I expected for $8.50. An espeesso shot coffee was served in a latte glass (not a small bowl) with the smallest scoop of vanilla ice cream I have ever seen. A standard coffee there was $3.8 so I felt ripped off that I paid an extra $4.70 for a small single scoop of ice cream (the size of 50 cents).<br/><br/>My friends long black came and it was the first time I saw a long black served in a latte glass, it was too hot to hold, a cup with a handle would have been so much easier.<br/><br/>The lasagna was also not as described, the menu stated "layers of pasta sheets again and again". The lasagna was flat served on a bed of rocket, only 1 layer was visible but maybe 2 layers maximum. I tried the lasagna, it wasn't horrible but definitely not memorable.<br/><br/>If the owners improve their service and add flavour to their menu, I'll gladly return as the FODMAP concept is great. However, after the first experience, I won't be returning in a hurry.

My husband and I just came in for a quick lunch and we where blown away!! The service was fantastic, The chef really knows what he is doing with the food and his knowledge of Allergy's / intolerance. He put my mind at ease, I knew what I was about to eat wasn't going to cause me any issues! We had the risotto and Parma, both where incredible! My husband doesn't suffer from food like I do and even to him the food was yummy. It's nice to know have somewhere I can take my family and they will enjoy the food as much as I do. - Thanks for your service and expertise today :)

Was so very excited to come here for dinner, but on arrival was very very disappointed! Restaurant itself is very uninviting, decor and presentation very tired. 5 minutes after getting our menus we were asked if we were ready to order, hadn't even had time to pick up and look at the drinks menu by this point. We ordered calamari to share for an entree which wasn't too bad, then had to wait over 40 minutes for our mains. I ordered the pork belly, much to my disappointment on its arrival. There was more fat than meat and what meat was on there was very tough. <br/><br/>The service was also unacceptable, the two wait staff were very happy to stand behind the counter and chat whilst plates were left sitting on tables for ages after meals had been finished, I noticed this at other tables too. We were never even asked if we wanted another drink, or if everything was ok with our meals. <br/><br/>I was also a bit taken aback by the price of the food. Understandable if the quality of the food was excellent, however not the case here. <br/><br/>Won't be going back and won't be recommending this place to my friends!

Worst restaurant food and service ever!<br/><br/>We got a voucher from Groupon and made a booking for which we got a confirmation only to get there and find out the restaurant was actually closed.<br/>We made a a booking a couple of weeks later only to have the worst experience ever.<br/><br/>The service is more than awful! Totally ignored l, drinks and food took a very long time to coMe. Waiter and owner really could not care less about their customers. They only had one vegetarian option which they were out of we had to order something else.<br/>The avocado toast was plain tip top bread with avocado and the salad we ordered was completely flavourless! Luckily we had a voucher from Groupon but after looking at the menu and considering that the prices are actually really high for what they are serving makes this one of the worst restaurants I have ever been.
Lydia Armstrong
Ian the owner was fabulous! He catered for all of our dietary requirements. Haven't had beer, lasagne or a sausage roll in forever!!!! One extremely happy customer.
Sarah Hall
Food is amazing and was so nice to be able to choose anything without the worry of cross contamination. A must visit if you have a gluten, dairy or fructose intolerance. Booking a table is probably a good idea it was pretty busy. The staff could have been more attentive this the reason they lost a point on this visit but it looks like the owner was training up some newbies so perhaps this problem is a thing of the past!

Went here for the first time this evening. Quite excited as it caters to a lot of dietary needs. Unfortunately i was a little disaapointed.<br/>Positive aspects are the servings were large and we all left full. The staff are kind and friendly. The parma and pork belly were very tasty as well.<br/>On the other hand, the carbonara was tasteless, the staff seem a little uninformed about the menu items and dietary rules, we had to return a glass because it was dirty and it was overpriced. The prices for the desserts were quite exaggerated which left us wondering where the value was. <br/>As a person with dietary needs hard to be met by standard restaurants, it was a shame this place just fell under par. It seriously has so much potential. If they could perfect their flavours perhaps we wouldn't mind spending the amount to enjoy a stress free meal here. We might give it another go a few months down the track.

The food was good for restrictions, ambience was average, waitstaff bubbly but uninformed. Big bill for 5 people. But left happy. Will be back again

These guys are angels for people with intolerances, coeliac disease, fructose malabsorption and other allergies. <br/><br/>I visited last night for my birthday dinner with a girlfriend, both of us with diet related autoimmune conditions and we were looked after with the utmost care, diligence and attention to detail. <br/>Not only was the food and drink absolutely divine, but the chef even created fresh savoury sauces and a whole new dessert for my friend from scratch. <br/><br/>I can't explain how lovely it is to feel 'normal' in a world that thinks our health conditions are a fad diet. We love you guys. Can't wait to come back again!

We LOVE this place! My daughter who is gluten, dairy, corn, salicylate and amine intolerant can't eat at any other restaurant. This place caters for everyone with food intolerances no matter how tricky. Last night (Thursday) was pizza night and we ordered a pizza with a pumpkin sauce instead of a tomato sauce. It was topped with roasted root vegetables and grilled chicken. It was absolutely delicious. My daughter left with a smile on her face and said on the way home I can't believe we live so close to a restaurant like this. We will be back. Thank you.

I absolutely loved Fox in the Box! My Partner surprised me by taking me here and I couldn't recommend it higher! For the past year I have been suffering with stomach troubles and been placed on a low fodmap diet. I am able to stick to the diet quiet well at home, but have struggled for the past year going to restaurants and ordering out as there is often little for me that is safe to consume. Fox in the Box Caters for people with food allergies including wheat, gluten onion and garlic (all of which are irritants to me especially the onion and garlic). I was able to comfortably sit and order from the menu knowing that there would be no onion or garlic used in my meals, as Fox in the Box does not even have onion or garlic on the premises! I ordered the Chicken schnitzel, which was Delicious! And my parter ordered the Pork Belly which he loved! He does not suffer from any food allergies or irritants and he mentioned that even though gluten free flours and different herbs are used to cook with, it does not compromise the flavor at all! He loved his meal! The service is also fantastic! I was made to feel so comfortable and relaxed and any questions about the food or ingredients were answered straight away. They are so understanding of your needs and go out of their way to make sure you can enjoy a safe meal when you go out😊 I couldn't recommend them any higher! We loved it! THANKYOU SO MUCH FOX IN THE BOX!😊😊😊😊😊🎀

Warning, rant ahead!! <br/>So very disappointed and very very annoyed. Our beautiful daughter Brittany with special needs, Coeliac disease and Fructose and lactose Malabsorption turned 25 yesterday, and to celebrate family and friends went to a highly recommended allergy free cafe in Brighton. They were very happy to take our booking of 25 people. The meat was very very tough, chewy and fatty. duck was very fatty, people who ordered the same dish had items missing on their plate, pollenta chips were un edible. Four dishes arrived long after everyone else had finished. drinks were mixed up, The service was terrible. We had bought in our own gf cupcakes and we put them on a stand then Britt handed them out. When we got our bill there were extra things on it they we really had to stand firm to have them removed. A friend bought her little girl a coke and was charged more than it was on the menu, when she queried it was told I charge extra on Saturdays, and we turned away 16 people tonight because of you, What the heck did that mean when we were all paying customers!! Then he said I should really have charged you venue hire as well. worst of all, everyone was charged an extra $5.50 Cackage, they did not supply any plates, had nothing to cut up and no serviettes were given to us. When someone said they didn't even eat a cup cake, was told bad luck. And did I mention Britt kept wacking her head on the meter box everytime she stood up. Everyone left feeling very annoyed, what a shame when we had thought we had found a good place. <br/>Rant over.

Amazing !!! Was very impressed ! I find it so hard to find places to eat where I don't have to pick half the ingredients out of the salad . Fox in the box has so many different options , no gluten in the kitchen what so ever ! I feel as though I'm not missing out now on food I see others eating. Can't wait to come back !! <br/>The pumpkin and feta salad was great as was the Lamb sandwich that had a curry sauce inside . Delicious !!! 😍😍 very happy girl haha

Loved it!. The negative comments on here are all false. I had an amazing dinner with perfect service. I am fructose and lactose intolerant and they catered to all my needs. It was a perfect meal and I was extremely happy with it. I walked out so full and content. The portion sizes are fantastic! Great job guys, will definitely be returning!

Food very good, Service extremely Disappointing. Having a girlfriend with food intolerances, wanted to go somewhere she could enjoy <br/>Service was slow had 2 ask twice for our wine <br/>Never recieved glasses for our water <br/>Forgot to bring out bread rolls which they charged us 4.50 <br/>Never felt welcome at any staged<br/>Staff where undressed with one waitress wearing ripped jeans and the other looking like he needed a a shave and a comb <br/>I was more than happy with the food and even thou its a bit expensive because it specialised.<br/>The whole experience sadned me as I look for a place make my local that can handled food intorences <br/>Suggestion to make this a truely wonderful place <br/>Sack the serving Staff and employ people who care can smile at least once in a night
Jimclarke-world
Bland food, appaling service, over priced. All very sad.. The most satisfying experience at our visit to Fox in the Box was closing the door behind us as we left.<br/>We took my mother-in-law for lunch as the cafe's FODMAP home meals seemed to offer much, considering they are gluten-free etc. Not only will she not buy home meals from Fox in the Box, none of us has a desire to return.<br/>Other than our party of four, there were only two other people at one table when we arrived. The woman who directed us to a table was absolutely uninterested and we were made to feel that we were intruding upon her time. The limited menu potentially was adequate but we were not advised that half the dishes were not available until we attempted to order them - including the lasagne, which the woman said had "run out last night".<br/>The flathead was quite an achievement: it was tough! And bland! The pasta was overcooked.<br/>Again, not all deserts on a limited list were available.<br/>It took 50 minutes for two cups of coffee to arrive - and that was after I twice asked about progress. There were other negatives during our 2 1/2-hour lunch, which would have take one hour had we been given efficient service.<br/>This place has significant potential and really it would not take much to make it a stand-out needed café. But, for now, the proprietor should take a look at waiting staff attitude, quality, pricing and efficiency.<br/>I would be struggling to give Fox in the Box one on any points rating system.

The coffee sucks. The coffee in this joint tastes like warmed up dishwater

Celebrated my daughter's 21st here. It was fantastic for her to be able to have many food options. Those in party without allergies similarly enjoyed their meals. The special order FODMAP birthday cake by Tim was absolutely delicious and special.

Used a cudo voucher here and I was pretty disappointed unfortunately. I had he lamb salad which was really bland and got pasta of the day - veal prosciutto and olives in Napoli sauce. Pasta and the small amount of veal that there was were both over cooked. I really want to love this place because it has so much potential for those with food intollerances but after several visits it just hasn't delivered for me.
Yuppiehippiechick
Slow and unresponsive service, unwelcoming decor, overpriced food and menu items dont turn up as listed. This place has so much potential but it completely fails to deliver. Microwaved gluten free bread rolls for god sake, crispy skinned salmon that turns up without the advertised pippies and of course without any substitute or explanation and still priced at $35!!!!!!!!!!! Wait staff (I think the wife of the owner), sullen, ignores people, is self absorbed and unfriendly. It is the only place in Melbourne serving FODMAP friendly food but by god I wont be rushing back...
Madeleine.charisis
Best FODMAP-friendly restaurant around!. We dined at Fox In The Box on Mother's Day and enjoyed a special 3-course meal that was entirely FODMAP friendly, which is fantastic for my mother, who manages her fructose-malabsorption. The food was delicious, especially considering the entire menu was gluten and fructose free, which isn't always as pleasing for my brother and I as it is to mum. The zucchini pasta with eggplant meatballs was wonderfully seasoned, the flathead tails and moroccan lamb were especially yummy, and we finished the afternoon with a rich chocolate mousse and a passionfruit tart, both of which were incredibly satisfying. Well worth the 1-hour drive from our home, I'm sure we will definitely return to sample the rest of their menu and we could not recommend this restaurant more for those managing a gluten intolerance, fructose malabsorption, or those unable to consume dairy.

Overpriced slow service, rude lady at counter, five star prices at a cafe. No atmosphere.. My wife likes this place as it is gluten and fructose free, and obviously cater for people with this intolerance. I have been there a few times over the years but it continues to disappoint me. A parma with chips cost 29.95 which seems to me a bit pricey, yeah sure its gluten free which is rare to find but 30 bucks for one meal that resembles not much more than cafe fare in a restaurant that has all the atmosphere of an empty cafe!<br/><br/>The salmon dish at $37 was really out of our price range, you could be expected to pay this at a much classier place Brighton Baths! A slice of cake $17!!<br/><br/>The lady was also extremely rude to us when we asked for Aoili for our chips (even though they were part of the meal. Then she asked "which one" like as if we know?<br/><br/>I paid for the meal in cash as I suspect most places prefer it, only she couldn't find change so she started digging out 5 cent coins from the tips jar!<br/><br/>Been there a few times now to please my wife and now I vow to NEVER EVER go again!!

Absolutely delicious. Came here with a friend on a voucher & we were treated so nicely. Food was yum, place was clean & service was great. We shall see you again fox in a box

Great Experience. It was great to find a gluten/lactose/onion free restaurant as I have a daughter who has significant food intolerances. Food more than met her needs and was thoroughly enjoyable for the rest of the family. First time she's been able to eat a decent pasta dish in a restaurant for ages. Well done!
Tahlial
Disappointing. Poor value. How on earth do they manage to cut the haloumi and pumpkin so small - we couldn't find it in our salad. Salt and pepper calamari was shaved thin and cooked in batter - yuk. Chairs so jammed in, seat kept getting whacked by passing staff. Would not recommend.
Isabelle
Overrated. Went to Fox in the Box as it is a rare completely fodmap friendly cafe however was very disappointed. Average food - I recommend the parma only (the pie was tasteless, the bread average gluten free supermarket quality and the open sandwich just a mix of vegetables piled up). It was overpriced for the amount given and the service was shockingly rude. No explanation and barely a greeting, we waited 5 minutes before menus were thrown in front of us, then waited a further 5 minutes for water and to order our set menu. I worked 5 years in hospitality so am usually quite tolerant but this was just embarrassing for the owner.<br/><br/>NOT worth it.

Overpriced and small portions. Im a coeliac and to be honest it's hard enough to find food that i can eat let alone good food. I have never really had an issue with the taste of the food at Fox as i'm a plain eater anyway but my god the portion size for what you pay is ridiculous!<br/>$16 for a wrap with 3 ingredients and nearly $20 for a HALF filled container of pasta. Yes i expect the food to be a little more expensive because it's not as widely produved but seriously it's more than double than normal food in some cases.

Awesome schnitzels! Better than most with breadcrumbs and they're gluten and fructose free. Great to have so many choices when you're on a restrictive diet. Highly recommended.

I went to this restaurant today and although the food was not amazing I thought the Lamb Salad and Traditional Lasagna were tasty, of a good portion size, satisfying and above all SAFE for me to eat. The latter is a luxury for me. Paired with a great Grigio it was a nice meal and I would go back.

Terrible food, terrible service, terrible atmosphere!! <br/>I bought a cudo voucher and I must say I will never go back to Fox in the Box again! <br/>There' was no flavour in the food and the prices are such a rip off! <br/>The waitress didn't care much either. <br/>Never again will I set foot into this BOX!!

DON'T GO THERE. My husband and I went to Fox in the Box today for lunch on a Cudo voucher and I would have to say it was one of the worst meals I've had.<br/><br/>We had to share a salad (which is OK) and it sounded delicious. Succulent lamb and quinoa with baby spinach and silverbeet pesto". The lamb was quite tough with fat on it and the dressing on the salad was tasteless. No seasoning whatsoever. Very boring indeed.<br/><br/>For main course I had what they called "Traditional Lasagne". Traditional for whom?? It was the worst lasagne I have ever tasted. The meat was really fine and layered with pasta and chopped tomatoes. I don't recall seeing any mozzarella cheese or bechamel sauce at all. Traditional lasagne is always finished off with bechamel sauce on top. <br/><br/>My husband had the flathead tails and these were really dry and tasteless as well.<br/><br/>We both said that if we had paid full price for this meal we would have sent it back. <br/><br/>The standard of the meals was second rate to say the least. We dine out a lot and I would say to the owners / managers that they need to lift their game if they want people to come back.<br/><br/>I see that there are a lot of negative reviews for this restaurant on Urbanspoon, so the owners need to take notice and start offering tasty and hearty meals not tasteless and bland ones.<br/><br/>I see that the restaurant serves gluten free meals and that those customers are quite pleased with the food.<br/><br/>All in all, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Ptoohey
No good. Went for lunch, ordered salad pumpkin spinach and cheese, Very nice. ordered flathead tails, yuk! The shape and texture was unlike any flathead tail i have eaten before. It was dry crumbly and had a strong smell. Left most of it on my plate. Terrible, dont go there.
Happy Katherine
Worst cafe in Melbourne. Of the menu they only had 2 things available at lunch time. Wound up just ordering a bowl of chips, 40 mins later and still no chips we just had to walk out. Don't bother!!

Great Night. We went to the Fox in the Box on Saturday night, we had a great night <br/>The food was wonderful and the staff where really helpful<br/>We will be going again as soon as we can<br/>Thanks guys

Could be so much better!. I love the concept of this café/restaurant - one that caters for gluten / other intolerances. The owner is so lovely & clearly passionate about providing food that everyone can eat.<br/>So it's a shame to encounter the same issues over & over again - that with a little bit more attention to detail & staff training - could be overcome.<br/>Firstly - the menu has all these little abbreviations on it, (like GF/DF/SF/FF) yet no breakdown as to what they stand for. When we asked the waitress - she had no idea. Not helpful. Since its only a printed A4 piece of paper - how about updating it to reflect what they mean?!<br/>Next - the wait staff haven't been on the ball the times we visited. How about staff training. Like on the basics - offering water at the start as a standard, bringing cutlery to the table after taking the order, actually writing down the order & repeating it so they confirm they have it right!<br/>The prices are steep for the food quality being offered. Do you really need to be charging that much, when your kitchen is already gluten free prepped? The chicken parma has been consistently the best dish off the menu, and is good value in comparison to the rest on offer. The salt & pepper calamari however is appalling. I don't quite know how the chef manages to make it so dehydrated, but you should update your menu to reflect that it's very thinly sliced & then deep fried - if you must persist in cooking it that way!<br/>And that's the thing - these days you can go to so many other cafes/restaurants who will happily cater to a food intolerance, that it just seems like this menu makes a mockery of it. Seems to be an over reliance on oil / deep frying.<br/>I'd like to go back some stage to see improvements made & an updated menu, but sadly I don't think it'll happen, nor will my friends return with me after the last visits.

So wonderful!. After suffering from food intolerances for the good part of 5 years, it was fantastic to find a place who caters for all of my low FODMAP needs, and also understands them!<br/>Both my partner, who is non-FODMAP, and I had the parma and it was so delightful! He even went on to say it was one of the best he has ever had! Great size and great taste, which normally isn't associated with low FODMAP.<br/>I couldn't finish my meal so they boxed it up for me to take home which was great.<br/>For dessert I had the Belgium flourless slice, though small it was just enough as it was so rich and decadent.<br/>Overall a 10/10 experience!!
Tom
Great food and awesome service. My wife has multiple intolerances and finding a restaurant that is able to cater for those is always tough, let alone one that serves consistently tasty food. This has never been an issue when we have visited Tim and the staff at Fox in the Box. We have always been delighted with the food, service and general knowledge of food intolerances and ability to cater for them. I myself enjoying the parma or the pork belly on multiple occasions. Another great aspect is the ability to take home meals. We often stock up on plain pizza bases that make for quick and tasty meals at home. Thanks Tim for a great time every time.

We chose this restaurant as a friend is on gluten free/ low fodmap diet. Went on Saturday night and after waiting for 1hour and 20 mins for our main meals to arrive we were very disappointed on quality. My sister in law ordered calamari and chips.. What came out looked nothing like calamari! It was flattened pieces of calamari which tasted like oil! My husband and one of our friends ordered pork belly and were not impressed whilst our friend on the GF / LF diet had the duck which was chewy. Seems mine was the only half decent meal(grilled Atlantic salmon with risotto) such a shame ! And the meals were overpriced for what we got! My hubby even had to order a pizza down the rd after we left . Won't be going back!

Friday night dinner. Having a family member with a restricted diet thought we would go out to dinner at this local for us.<br/>Disappointing, expensive unimaginative food. Too many chips, and eggplant parmigiana greasy, was just crumbed eggplant.<br/>Maybe we ordered the wrong things, the menu sounded interesting but the calamari and the steak also didnt deliver.
Katie
LOVED this place; will definitely be back! Excellent for those with food intolerances AND those without. Delicious food, lovely staff, fab service, great atmosphere. Very highly recommend!!

Yum. First time in my life I've had a Parma and was well worth the wait, no food envy here, complete guts finished it all and really enjoyed my meal, had chocolate pudding for desert and took a brownie home for later. Staff were really friendly from the moment i made the booking. Seriously pleased to have found a place that's completely gluten free as so often I've been told my meal is gluten free at restaurants and had to deal with the side effects of it not being so.

Had been wanting to try out this place for a while. Finally went there for lunch and I was disappointed. The food wasn't terrible but it wasn't amazing either. The prices are high considering the scant portion sizes. My mother ordered a wrap which was tiny, like half a wrap cut into three pieces. My breadless burger was nice but hardly worth the money - considering it was merely the inside of a regular hamburger sans bread - I left hungry. The prices can be what they are so long as the food is worthy of them.

Heavenly Food at a Hefty Price. Went here for lunch - was thoroughly impressed by the food (extremely delicious!!), and fantastic that it caters for so many food intolerances. However, I was really disappointed when I saw the hefty prices. I ordered the chocolate fondant dessert for $17 thinking it would surely be big enough to share with a friend, but it was tiny. Service was also quite poor, very inattentive and slow, which isn't really acceptable when there's only a few customers dining in. Overall, such wonderful food was let down by high prices and insufficient service - such a shame!

Don't go when it's busy. I have been to Fox in the Box twice, and the first time the restaurant was very quiet (saturday 12pm) so food came out quick and was very tasty i had the lasagna. The second time i went (saturday 12:30) it was very busy with many reserved tables however there were only two staff on which was not enough. my meal took about an hour to come out and 4 tables got served before us even though they had come in after us. By the time we got our meal at least 2 of the tables had already left. The plate and the parma were searing hot and you could not enjoy the taste of it. Very disappointed and staff weren't attentive.

Great food!!. Love it!! Can't believe it's all LF/FF and GF! Will be back a lot more times!
Kate
The best. This is the best restaurant! The staff are fantastic, never felt unwelcome or like someone annoying who needs to change everything off the menu. That's because I can eat everything on the menu and everything is delicuous. My Mum is the same as me and we love coming here. My partner can eat everything and he loves the food too. It's because it's real food and it's tasty. I think people get scared of gluten free and no onion or garlic. They think it can't possibly taste any good. Well the chef is a genius and everything tastes amazing. Especially the deserts :)
Cathy
Great!. Have been living in Brighton for years, and also living with food issues.. little to my knowledge a restaraunt living in my neighbouring suburb of Gardenvale was a fox living in a box! <br/>catered for all my issues, including ZERO onion, without the worry of cross contamination. Im just so excited in having a 3 course meal without having to worry about anything! <br/>the chef was fantastic as he came out and spoke to us. I enjoyed the roasted pork so much i finished off my daughters! haha! <br/>friendly staff and cute interior. will be back

Select carefully, but plenty of choices. I loved it for the ability to choose every single item from the menu.<br/><br/>With fructose malabsorption, I love it when I can eat out where I chef has developed dishes without relying on onion for flavouring. The salmon pattie was enjoyable, with tempura style salad leaves (strange, but effective, adding a crunchy dimension), sauce and a beautifully poached egg. Lamb and quinoa salad was fine, but not overwhelming. I would have loved to have tried more, pity that Brighton it half an hour's drive for me.

Went for the FIRST & LAST time last night. Waitress was EXTREMELY rude and unfriendly. You DO NOT treat paying customers like that<br/>Never again. If youre after fantastic gluten free with MUCH better service try Pizza Piazza in Windsor instead.
Discerning Diner
Friendly, knowledgeable service, good food and a menu which offers plenty of variety. Somewhere you could take non food intolerance friends and they'd enjoy it too. Owner spent a great deal of time and offered helpful suggestions for my current dietary situation. Much appreciated, thank you!

Excellent food! lovely food! great atmosphere! FLAKY GLUTEN FREE PASTRY!! thoroughly impressed and will be back for more!

GF, FF, DF, LF shouldn't mean flavour free too!. Had lunch at Fox In The Box today and despite our high expectations we were really disappointed, especially for the price we paid (nearly $90 for lnch for 2!!!) We ordered the lamb salad w quinoa & greens ($22.90!) and the breadless burger. Both were really lacking in seasoning & flavour. Burger serving was quite small too. <br/>Desserts were equally disappointing. The flourless choc slice, while pretty tasty, was a tiny serve and certainly not worth $17.50!! The Lemon Meringue serving was more generous. Coffee was really average and expensive too ($4.20 for a long black!).<br/> Service is really slow and we were the only couple in there for quite some time!! Expensive and disappointing. The only saving grace was the lovely, friendly waiter (the owner I think) who was helpful with menu suggestions.

Great food especially the chicken Parma. The service was a bit disappointing though. We weren't offered more drinks when our glasses were empty and didn't get offered desserts so we ended up just leaving when they could have had more business.
Princess_1102
Went here maybe two months ago and havent had a chance to write my review but here I go. Do not order the lamb, you will regret it. Also not the best service. My lamb was practically untouched and the chef came out to ask if there was something wrong, I explained that it was so tough that I just could not chew through it. They didn't charge for a dessert but still charged for the lamb that was twice the cost of my dessert. Here's a tip, next time don't charge for the horrible main. I wouldn't even feed it to my dog.

ONION FREE...... YES REALLY. It is true.... ONION free for dinner.... Yes!

Yummy!. Great food, finally somewhere that offers onion free parmas! amazing
Lilian
I went there for lunch and the chicken parma was amazing but I was really disappointed with the service. I waited 20 minutes for someone decide to take my order and after a very long wait to be offered the dessert menu I gave up and left. Terrible service, don't go if you are really hungry or you will starve!
BC
Terrible. Gutted at spending so much money and a Friday evening on such poor food. This is possibly the worst place I've eaten in Melbourne in this price bracket. As per previous reviewers the steak and calamari were not good. Pork was nice but very small portion. Overpriced and mot good quality. Been there, done that, won't be back!

Fox in the Box. My husband and I went there for lunch yesterday om a voucher.Must admit this was great food everything was perfection and when we ordered dessert, we thoguht they may have forgotten but we were told that it takes time to make things fresh. The lemon tart came out and I couldn't fault it. My husband does not suffer from any allergies but I do and he said that if someone didn't know that the lunch was gluten free they would not have known the difference. Will be going back again, loved it

Awesome for take aways. I have 3 boys, all are dairy intolerant, two are gluten free as well as minimal sugar. It is virtually impossible for us to do a Friday night take-away meal like most other families. I've recently asked Fox in the Box if they could do one of their pizzas for a take away, that they normally do on their Italian night. It is perfect! My boys think it's such a treat and I know the food isn't harming them. Outstanding flexibility to meet this customer's needs! Thank you for our family night.
Tamara
Good quality accessible food at last!. I was at the Fox in the Box the same night as Matty J and had the opposite experience to his. <br/><br/>Myself and other family members have food intolerances and I really enjoyed being able to go out to dinner with my family, order whatever I liked off the menu and not have to ask questions about ingredients. I enjoy good quality food and am happy to pay for quality over quantity. The food I ordered was all of high quality, I had the venison and the flavours were superbly matched. For dessert I had the vanilla slice which was equally enjoyable. Other members of my family (without food intolerances) also enjoyed the meal.<br/><br/>The atmosphere was nice and our waiter was very knowledgeable. If you want a $12 parma as big as your head, go to a musty pub. If you want high quality, accessible food and a pleasant dining experience, then you will like Fox in the Box.
Susan
Couldn't be happier!. I was At Fox In The Box last night with my boyfriend. I could not disagree more with Matty!! ( maybe review McDonalds)<br/>Our food was incredible! My boyfriend had the schnitzel which was delicious! I had the special which was venison, it was amazing! We shared a pudding noir and it was yummy! The place was very busy and full the waiter was on his own, he explained that he had two sick staff member yet still managed to make sure our glasses were topped up! We saw them turn away eight people, I'm so glad we booked! I can't wait to go back!!!<br/>P.s Fries are better at Fox in the box!!

The worste restraunt i have ever eaten at! I was soo hungry and looking forward to this "fantastic restraunt" when i saw the menu and the prices of all the meal i expected the food to be top notch, we had a large group of people dining there, service was terrible we had to wait what felt like forever to get acknowledged for another drink, the waiter made weird jokes that would make u feel uncomfortable, we had saganaki for the entree $19 wen it came out there was no more than half a slice of bread on the plate, big let down! For the main i had the scotch fillet cooked to well done, it was red raw and the tiniest piece of meat, i felt soo ripped off at this point the steak being $36.00 looking around the table i can guarantee no one was even close to happy with what we were given. Calamari was soggy all meals were so small, the only thing i would go back for is the fries and aoli sauce, we skipped dessert and stopped off at mc donalds for a sundae! I will never go back!!!
Burbianfood
Fantastic! Eye catching decor, great service and delicious gluten free foods. AND NO ONION! I'm in heaven. Keep up the great work. :)

I recently visited this restaurant while on holiday from Echuca with my life partner. I was absolutely overwhelmed that this small and cosy business offered such a wide variety of fantastic meals (both allergy-conscious and not so). I had a delicious bowl of pumpkin soup that was cooked to perfection, and the owner was more than willing to share his knowledge of the vast variety of wine that they had available. I was served by a gorgeous young woman who was incredibly polite and sported a quirky, Jane Turner-like personality. I definitely recommend this restaurant at any time of day or night for anyone who is in the area.

Visited The Fox last night for a special dinner menu "A winter warmer". The food was fantastic, a had eye fillet and it literally melted in my mouth. The price was great, $65 per person for a three course meal, in which left myself and my husband feeling full and for once not feeling sick! The service was efficient, friendly and the owner was extremely educated in FODMAP & food intolreances. We were lucky enough to be seated in a booth, but I'd advise to call and book, as this place filled up fast. Overall, a great night out & highly advise everyone with an allergy, (or not one!) to visit!!

Not satisfied. Went to Fox in the Box with friends for dinner, but was very disappointed. 1. The waitress took our drinks order and then never came back with them, had to ask her and she apologised for forgetting. 2. Very limited vegetarian dishes, eggplant "schnitzel" was very oily. Spinach salad was drenched in what tasted to all of us like soy sauce, though was rest assured it was balsamic (tasted balsamic at home soon as got back and completely different taste). And $5 for bread roll! I queried this with waitress and she said could feed 4 of us, when it came it was a dinner roll sliced in 4. 3. Menu had heading "light" but that's it, no main, nothing, so should probably just remove that heading. 4. Two toilets but not marked male and female, when have 2 toilets diners preference is not unisex. 5. House wine by the glass was only $1 cheaper than the options for wine by the glass so why bother? 6. No-one came and took our dessert and coffee order after giving us menus because the waitress then finished her shift and left! And we all wanted coffee and 2 were going to have dessert. And this is 10pm Friday night. Who we assumed was the owner wasn't interested in approaching us, so we approached him, paid our bill and left.

Just Awful. I came across the reviews for Fox in the Box while looking for a nice G/F resturant. The reviews sounded very positive, so booked for a party of 6. How very disappointed we all were. With menu prices that would rival some fine dining resturants, the Fox is nothing more than an over priced cafe. The resturant was almost empty, and still the service was poor. Without exception, the meals did not live up to the standards promised in the menu, nor to the reviews on UrbanSpoon.<br/><br/>Starters:<br/>Salt & Pepper Calamari GF/DF/FF was cold and soggy - worst I've ever been served, but with a hefty price tag. $20.90<br/>Dinner Roll GF/DF/FF with olive oil, rock salt and olives = 4 small 'soldiers' of G/F bread, not a dinner roll @ $4.50<br/><br/>Mains:<br/>Duck Confit GF/LF /FF. This is the dish that convinced us to try the Fox. Unfortunatly, it was sold out.<br/><br/>Tim’s 20 hour “serious” Scotch Fillet GF/FF. Looked great on the menu. What we recieved was quite disappointing. The 20 Hrs Scotch was a grey slab of meat, sitting on two slices of G/F bread spread with mustard. As someone who likes a rare steak, this was not appealing. This plate was served to me with the waitress's thumb sitting in the sauce as it was placed on the table. $36.90 did not represent good value. <br/><br/>Italian Pork Belly GF/DF/FF: Chewy pork served with a parmesan flavoured rissotto. There may have been other flavours there, but everything was overpowed by the parmesan cheese flavour of the risotto. Pork and Parmesan are not great partners. This main was almost ineddible. $29.90<br/><br/>Desserts: You've got to be kidding. After such appalling entre and main, we chose to cut our losses and head to a local cafe. The deserts of Sticky Date Pudding, Gluten free apple and rubarb crumble and warm chocolate cake were fantastic and less than 1/2 the price of the Fox's deserts. <br/><br/>The adage of ' You get what you pay for' certainly does not apply to the Fox in a Box.......

FANTASTIC!! Came across this place via Urbanspoon. THE most knowledgeable staff in relation to food intolerances. Had a great BLT and coffee whilst there and ended up buying (online from Amazon) the best food intolerance book on the market by Sue Shephard. Will def be back to Fox in the Box :D

The Best Place on the Planet!. I have just been diagnosed with fructose and glucose intolerance, and wondered not only what I can eat, but where on earth I can be catered for without feeling like an outcast! Well what a gem of a find! An amazing menu, that caters for everybody, and specializes in food intolerances. Tim is awesome! Very friendly. He cooks up an absolute storm in the kitchen, and the food is not only delicious, but beautifully presented. I can honestly say that I ate like a King, and it was the first time in a year that I didn't feel sick after eating. My friend who does not suffer from food intolerances loved it, and can't wait to return.
Kate
Fox in the Box. Amazing! All food allergies are dealt with brilliantly but the meals are great for everyone - my friends with no allergies are now going back there without me! The pudding noir is the best dessert I have ever eaten. Tim is a wealth of knowledge re a low FODMAP diet and the staff are always very friendly. But best of all - the food is just so tasty!

Great coffee! Fantasic food and sensational service! I have been there 3 times and each time it keeps getting better. The prices are brilliant and the gluton free options are there for pretty much everything on the menu including their chocolate pudding! Fun and friendly staff. A must visit!
