Review Seaview Restaurant - Brighton

A great place for dinner. The staff are wonderful: attentive but not intrusive. The menu is broad and the food is delicious. They look after groups really well too. The views over the bay are great.

We had a group booking for a dinner on Saturday night. The food was great and the service was phenomenal! Matthew and the other restaurant staff did a wonderful service.

Came to this restaurant a while ago to have dinner after going to Brighton beach. This restaurant is inside Brighton Savoy Hotel in Brighton. <br/>I enjoy the food here. The price was good and the portion size was good too. The customer service that day I went was good too. 😀

Went mid week. Parking on site was easy, staff greeted us, we had one waitress who was friendly, she got us water straight away, gave us a bit of time to select drinks and our entrees. We had a pram so she helped us with moving chairs around to fit it in. Very courteous waitress. <br/>Food was delicious and the meals were huge.<br/>Nice ambience.<br/>We could see the sea from our table and the passing cars but it didn't put us off the experience.

I had my christmas dinner at the Seaview Room on Dec 25th 2015 and was a complete disappointment. We paid $140 each and there was hardly any christmas carols played, we were squashed in, the desert custard was cold and the staff interupted us three times to see if we had any dietary requirements. Since then I have got in contact with the restaurant/venue manager and her response was we apprecaite your response but there is nothing we can do. What terrible customer service. My family and I left as soon as deserts were served as we did not want our christmas evening to be a complete disaster.

The experience at the Seaview restaurant was mixed. The place was completely empty on a Friday night. The waiter was very friendly, but that couldn't make up for the lack of atmosphere. We got a table near the window, but since the restaurant is ground level we got to see the cars passing by on the Esplanade rather than a view of the sea. The menu comes laminated, which is more fitting for a cafeteria than a restaurant. The food was pretty good but nothing to rave home about. The selection is quite limited. All in all I wouldn't recommend it.

Both meals were extremely good. J’s steak was perfectly cooked and he also commented on good the potatoes were.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>I concurred on the potatoes, and found my veal to be tender and full of flavour. I have to admit that I think we were both pleasantly surprised by the quality.

Thankyou. Staying at the Savoy for 4 days and had had an amazingly cold, wet, stressful day. Dining alone is not usually fun or met with much respect. Thankfully Ian the restaurant manger here changed all of that tonight. I was treated like a queen in a friendly but subtle, non intrusive, empathic, gentlemanly way ... Thanks very very much! You made my day!

Great place. Enjoyed a nice evening with friends, watching the kite surfers on the beach with a glass of bubbles and a nice steak

Great Service. Had a great evening the night before my wedding reception which was also held at the brighton savoy .. i felt so special

Valentine's Day Dinner. The menu was set but love the entry and main couldn't fault it other than it was so yummy we wanted more. Dessert was a let down, as I don't like coffee their Tira-moo-su I only had one option which was so sugary sweet I couldn't eat it (and I have a sweet tooth). Then we were asked if we wanted tea or coffee, I asked for a hot chocolate and was told this wasn't in the package and would have to pay for it.<br/>So first 2/3rd's of the night were fantastic, however they were let down right at the end.<br/>Lovely maitre'd and waitress, friendly, smiley service.

Great Food . views and service. A group of us had our christmas breakup dinner last night, they handled the 12 of us giggling ladies with aplomb, Food was tasty and well presented, the views of the water were stunning, and they had an nice outdoor area for us smokers, the waiting staff and manager were so helpful offering to take photos, and calling taxis, to get us all home safely

Very enjoyable dinner. We had a lovely evening at The Brighton Savoy. Great food - both taste and portion size. Good service - very friendly and attentive. Overall it was a great night and we will be returning.

Great. Fantastic time, great staff and great food, place was busy but never felt uncomfortable me and the wife anjoyed it all, and staff would have been stressed but looked comfortable and in controll A+++

Terrible service, slow slow slow! I waited 2 hours for my steak and it was cold. And to make things worse they had almost NO choice in drinks.

Could the service be any less attentive? I doubt it. Slow, slow slow and a long wait for reasonsable food. With Melbourne awash with decent restaurants (for a lot cheaper) give this a wise berth.

Great place to eat and stay. Had to leave the home whilst being painted and thought stay somewhere local.. but we were more than surprised about the hotel AND the restuarant.. <br/><br/>Would thoroughly recommend staying and will certainly go back for a meal... and the views were just a bonus! Parking was a breeze and it is great to see a quality place out of the city.<br/><br/>A++++

Stayed at this hotel with a Scoopon $140 for one night plus $40 dinner voucher. Loved dinner!!! Will be returning soon for another meal. Meat was perfectly cooked.

Great night, great food & service. Came to stay the weekend at the Brighton Savoy and didnt expect everything to be as good as it was. Restaurant was surprisingly good and what a view! Service in particular was exceptional and we loved having some drinks in the courtyard before we sat down for dinner. Menu pretty straight forward but didn't have trouble making choices and I reckon we'll be back with friends pretty soon, nice change from the noisy cafe scene

Fabulous service. We stayed at the Savoy for two nights this week, and had a lovely meal one night. The steak we ordered was actually overcooked, so we mentioned this (politely!)to the waitress who was wonderful and got us new meals. The replacements were perfect, and the restaurant manager came to apologise and offer us complimentary desserts. The restaurant is in a lovely position overlooking the beach and is very stylish and modern. The wine list was reasonably priced too. I would definitely eat here again - it would be great for a special occasion as they have large circular tables for 8, beautifully set. The reception was always staffed by friendly, welcoming people. Great place!

Service impeccable!. What a lovely evening. The staff are very attentive and super friendly, nothing is too much trouble. There was a good choice of dishes and the food is delicious! The setting of this place is gorgeous and we will definately be back. Good prices for a hotel restaurant.

Exceeded my expectations of a hotel restaurant. BF says he had the best steak EVER, and my lamb rack was devine. Roasted tomatoes were so herby and delicious. Service was friendly. Will definately be back again

Nice night with friends good service and nice food

All at sea. The restaurant decor and general layout had a 3 star hotel breakfast feel. <br/><br/>Ordered the lobster and steak and I must say I was really really really disappointed. The "lobster" was more of a moreton bay bug (but smaller) and the steak tasted like a piece of roasted beef that had a coles special red sticker on it. Never again.

My meal took two hour to come, it was cold and my medium rare steak was done medium. So no, I was not impressed.
