Small and warm community cafe. Delicious family made creative meal. Best coffee I never miss when pass the area. Thank you Chris and Catherine and wish you can survive in this hard time!

Wonderful service and delicious coffee! Although I did think charging $10 for a portion of scrambled eggs and a slice of bread for bub was a tad bit pricey! Nonetheless, a cafe I would still swing by for the service, the coffee and some delicious treats that I saw on display but didn’t get to try today!

This cafe is lovely. Such friendly and helpful service, able to offer gluten free options when required. The cauliflower and blue cheese soup was amazing, and the pumpkin frittata was delicious. Thanks !

A favourite place: caring kind cheerful owners. Tasty food carefully prepared. Love the coffee. I’ve also bought soup, little quiches and cakes as gifts for friends. Always well received! A local gem of a cafe.

Very good coffee here. Also the pancakes are good too - they garnish with fresh berries and ice cream.

The best corn fritters I’ve ever had! Coffee here is always amazing and the meals are gourmet with fresh, high quality ingredients. Love taking home the delicious muffins and cakes too. The most friendly and welcoming service on Hampton Street!

Great breakfast here, really good bacon, eggs and seedy bread toast served by friendly staff. And good strong coffee. What more can one want?

Hot chocolate was delicious. Otway bacon and egg toastie with relish very tasty. Eggs cooked to order. High quality ingredients, good prices. Best of all, customer service is amazing! And so friendly. I was even given water while I waited for a sandwich! Definitely will return.

What a lovely little dog friendly cafe.. Thought I'd give it a go after reading a few of their reviews and I'm happy to say I wasn't disappointed. Fantastic coffee, great food and absolutely lovely service. Will definitely be bk :)

Great cafe - try the pancakes. I know people come to the Citron for the coffee but the pancakes are excellent, garnished with fresh berries & ice cream. Also quite inexpensive given the quality

Worst coffee ever! Couldn't even finish drinking it. Don't go here and don't listen to the other reviews

A little gem!. The new owners have added some great dishes to the menu. I had smashed avo, with toast and haloumi cheese. My friend had the chicken pesto salad. Both were great and beautifully presented. I also loved the lemongrass and ginger tea.

Great place in Brighton. Had a very tasty roasted vegetable sandwich, enjoyed it very much. Service was fantastic, friendly and warm. Recommend going back, and will do so very soon, and take more friends along.

The poached eggs with smoked salmon, hollandaise, avocado and rocket is fantastic. Best coffee in Brighton/Hampton.
Fair But Honest
Yum Yum & Yum again. Best corn cakes in Melbourne (maybe even Australia) (( Maybe even the world)) - go there - order them - eat them and I dare you to say you've found better
Got To Be Yummy
Peace, quiet and corn cakes!. I have been coming to this unassuming cafe on Hampton Street just before South Road for 7 years. Catherine and Chris are such sweet hosts, coffee is good, corn cakes are fabulous, cheese on toast with homemade tomato chutney, breakfasts, soups sandwiches and little quiches on the counter. It is not fancy but it is lovely to be in a cafe with the newspaper and some classical music and feel at home.
