The food is ridiculously priced. I ordered a lamb pasty and there was one measly bit of meat in it. Worst of all it cost 10.50. It would have been worth it if the quality matched the price.

Consistently good food. The sandwiches, pies and cakes are always of top quality - the pastry being a highlight - and there is a great selection of take home meals. It is not cheap, but worth the extra money. Tea and coffee are also good.
Not very friendly staff. You can get similar stuff from many places in Brighton with very helpful smiling staff
I am not sure if this cafe is good or not but there are no retail prices on the goods on offer listed. I find that extremely pretentious. It is in my local area so I am disappointed, as to what point does not listing your prices serve?
Great homemade food, there's lots of cakes and soups as well, and also, they have one of the best chocolate there is.
