I enjoyed this huge portion of this amazing chilli scrambled eggs in the sun!
Expect very honest food here, it’s more about the taste and the experience rather than the standard eat with your eyes artwork masterpieces we see now everywhere! Definitely recommend checking these guys out 💖🌟
Relaxed casual vibe. Asian/Thai influence and they know how to make food tasty. Today I had an Aussie breakfast though. Poached eggs, mushrooms, avo, tomatoes on toast. Twas yummy. Coffee was great too. It wasn’t busy on a chilly Sunday lunch time brunch hour, so I was happy sitting here on my own wid ma doggie. I will go back and try their Thai food next timesavers.
Went for lunch with sister and nephew in pram. Greeted straightaway with warm smiles and accommodated pram too! Much appreciated, thank you!
Café was quiet and nice. We had the crab rice and green curry. Curry was spicy hot for us but nice! Crab rice was yummy!
Nice little spot!
This is my favourite place within my local area. The service here is great and the atmosphere is also nice. Pricing is good considering how good the food is
Fantastic food and service. Highly recommended. A hidden gem in Landcox Street. I recommend the pad Thai or BLAT. Coffee is great as is the casual and friendly atmosphere.
Our local favourite. Zest is a cute restaurant opened for breaky and lunch. the family and i have recently moved to the area and had found this little gem. ZEST IS THE BEST! we have tried a couple cafes in the area but they were nothing compared to zest. customer service is excellent, coffee is Devine and food is to die for!
A little gem in Brighton. We found ourselves looking at a property in Landcox Street Brighton. It was time for lunch and my Urbanspoon app showed Zest as the closest restaurant (only 200m away!) with a high approval rating. The outside appearance was not encouraging but while we were considering our decision, one of the friendly staff came outside and asked if we would like to look at a menu. It was hard to say no to such a friendly approach. We sat at one of the outside tables which was very pleasant on a mild autumn day - thankfully no smokers. The menu is reasonably diverse and we chose the big breakfast and seafood pad thai. While we waited, we enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice. It was not a long wait before our meals were delivered - huge servings, no complaints there. And delightful to eat. Interesting location and ambience, wonderfully friendly and helpful staff, quick service, great food, reasonable price - what more could one ask for?
Great breakfast . Fresh juices . Coffee ok.
Muesli could be better. Service excellent Will come again . Our rating 7-10
Good food, friendly service and atmosphere. They've been consistently good for years.
Great little cafe! Run by great people in a quiet little street. The only complaint is their homemade hash brown, sorry but that is not a hash brown is like cooked up mash potato with a mouthfull of garlic. Besides that I have no complaints though
Best coffee in area. Back from QLD were Merlo coffee rules. Waiting for my fav cafe to reopen so I can get my daily hit of Merlo coffee.
Our local. This is our local cafe and we frequesntly visit it. The breakfast menu is delicious from scrambled eggs to the lotti dotti or BLT YUM. And for luch the thai fried rice is exactly like you get in thailand as is the pad thai.....and the portion size is excellent. The service is attentive, very friendly and they are also child friendly having a great attitide to children and 3 highchairs. We love this place.....oh, and did I mention the great coffee!
Very decent, swiftly produced cup of coffee. Unpretentious and good.
Good surprise. A surprise find, it is the only food place in this appealing neighbourhood. Breakfast is excellent and well priced, my poached eggs with grilled chorizo (~$13) and the coffee were perfect. Also ordered a Chicken Pad Thai on a different day, it was well presented with the various ingredients organised around the plate so you can mix to your liking. A steal at $14.50, it was delicious and so big two of us could barely finish it. Strong Asian influence on the menu, and absolutely charming service.
Great food and really nice owners
Great little place with very friendly staff. Unfortunately they leave water bowls out to attract dog walkers, so there are nearly always dogs near your table if you want to sit outside. It's a cafe for humans isn't it? Dogs should be discouraged.
Great food and good coffee. I love their menu service and coffee, great meal sizes and my favorite salad option. Only $10.50 for a huge salad.
Highly recommended.
The best scrambled eggs ever! I wish I knew what was in them. Amazing.
Great coffee. New owners since late '09
Secret foodies cafe, this secret gem is known to the mum's dropping off or picking up kids from the local primary school. Great food, great atmospher. Lunch from $7.50
Beautiful intimate gem of a café with lovely staff and a busy kitchen. This worthy venue is located next to a hair salon. I got a takeaway hot chocolate and small vegetarian quiche here today, a sunny Saturday afternoon. Hot chocolate hit the spot and the quiche was so delicious! Prices were more than reasonable. The ambience is really nice. Recommend for one-on-one catch up in, with a beloved, or to breeze by for a takeaway. The lady who served me was so gentle and kind.
Nice neighbourhood cafe with Asian and western food plus Dimattina coffee and friendly service. Won't set the world alight but sometimes just what you need. Stiff competition from Bliss in Landcox park though.
Super friendly family busy that make delicious breakfast and Asian style lunches.
My favourite is the bacon and egg roll on Turkish bread. They use a mystery delicious chutney. Yum
I go there once a week and love the food and service
