Never fails to disappoint! So yummy, I’m just disappointed I don’t live close anymore. Means visits are few and far between but worth driving past every other bakery to get there! Can taste the love in every bite!
I come here every Thursday to buy gonuts and bronuts (croissant-doughnuts and brioche-doughnuts) for the office. We absolutely love the stuff and wouldn't go anywhere else for our weekly doughnut fix!
Over the past few months I've also tried the fruit tarts, eclairs, sausage rolls, ricotta cakes, almond financiers and vanilla slices and I simply can't pick a favourite. They're all delicious! The sausage rolls have the perfect flaky pastry, the choux shells of the eclairs are never soggy and the flavour of the custard is well-balanced, and the ricotta cakes are wonderfully moist and come in delicious flavours.
The staff are also wonderful and friendly even at the early hours of 6:30 in the morning. They take long orders without breaking a sweat and are always helpful when I've been indecisive about what to get. Love coming back here every week and will continue to do so!
Went on a Wednesday and got rhubarb danish , lavender chocolate donut, and fresh cream salted caramel donut( forgot to take a photo)

Went here during an impromptu visit in the area and felt almost obliged to visit due to the high ratings on Zomato.
Following a recommendation from a friend who works nearby, I bought the small flourless cake. It was not too sweet, pleasant chocolate flavour with a good crunch of toffee.
Busy shop. Casual ambience. Friendly staff.

Loved the huge almond/ chocolate/ special Nutella croissants and the cheap ($2!) bagels. Eclairs are a bit too sweet but still delish! Been there for 4 times in the last few months. Have to come back for more. I lost count how many times I’ve been to this place. Their recently opened Northgate cafe is even more vibrant. Make sure you’re early so you can still enjoy the popular almond croissants/hazelnut croissants/eclairs/quiches/fruit tarts/ focaccia 😁.
Loved their croissants and donuts. And make sure that you go early if u want anything good, cuz they sell fast. They only do doughnuts and cronuts on Wednesdays and Thursdays which is a bit disappointing. But if you have the chance make sure you get some.

I went there on good advice from my sister on a cool morning on the hunt for the best sausage roll in Brisbane With Sourdough Bread to take home and enormous array of hand made fresh Pastries all in Brisbane. So yes I crossed the river and she was right I had found the Bomb. The Mother of all French Pastries and cakes Bagels and Sourdough. We divide into the Sausage Rolls first.... absolutely incredible!!!! The Pastry so buttery, so light crispy and melt in your mouth deliciousness!!! Yes I have finally found the best in Brisbane. Once u have had one of these, the rest just can’t stand up!!!
The Raspberry Velvet Bar was a sweet cake light a light pound, with fresh berries hidden in the first layer so when bitten in you have the sharpness of the cream cheese frosting the the sweet cake followed by the taste of the fresh very all in one bite, very good. The bagels were selling at hot cakes listed on a page were u could see what had sold out mine was very good not like a traditional Jewish New York bagel I have tried but really excellent.
So to some it up the best in the business

A definite must to Return... HINT get there early!!! This place sells like a shop I’ve never seen before in this area of Brisbane, Set the Alarm Clock and bring a friend the coffee shop next door is excellent so u can sit and devour your tasty morsels!!!!Jamiesgirl
A very popular bakery/patisserie located in Morningside. This bakery has plenty of baked goods ranging from croissants (around $5) to slices of cake ($7). Flour & Chocolate offers a very tempting and mouthwatering range of sweet and savoury goods. On this trip we ordered two cakes - passionfruit & red velvet. Both cakes were very delicious but I much preferred the red velvet. The cakes are the perfect sweetness and have a very fluffy texture. The price point is quite average for similar types of bakeries. I would like to return and possibly try some of the croissants and other flavours of cakes next time.

The quiche is very flavourful, I can taste the layers of ingredients combined in it. It was not heated but was still amazing. It must be even better if it just came out from the oven.
Fruit tart is also delicious, not too sweet. The fruit, cream and crust were all well made.
Only chocolate cake was ok, it did not blow my mind.
Great Almond croissant 🥐. The only downside for me was, the almond filling was too little.
My favourite would have to be the one I bought from Edwards Specialty Coffee in Brisbane City.
The Cronut from here (cream cheese filling) was amazing. I also adore the attention they give to the overall presentation and even packaging.
Makes it all so decadent and classy. Love it.
Words cannot express the quality of this little Bakery! I have never been disappointed and make a habit of taking some of their croissants with me and share it with folks at work, every single colleague lights up when they see the Flour & Chocolate bag on the kitchen table!
The croissants are excellent so is their sourdough and with holidays around this place does not disappoint!
This place is the best. Such a great quality bakery with a lot to choose from. Always seems to be busy because people know how great it is.
Definitely recommend this place.
