Review Coffee Anthology - Brisbane

Irene
This is a place where everything is simple yet perfect. Padre roasters single origin (it was Colombian this week) and freshly baked pastry. Sitting in this coffee shop is an experience in its own right, as it is located in a historical building with exposed brick work inside, spacious and cosy nooks and the feeling of space and attention to small interior design details. The sitting space is multi-level and multi-style - small nooks, tables, benches, split level sitting which adds to the diversity feeling. The kitchen is still being built, really look forward to it's opening.

This place used to be in another location, but now located in a FANTASTIC heritage building at 155 Charlotte st. Great coffee and they are currently opening an amazing little pastry kitchen in the middle of the building where you can watch them make fresh croissants. Very cool!

Absolute vibes this joint, great coffee at optimum temperature, great service, quiet and relaxing space which is great for any work needed away from the office

Great coffee and good service. I would have given it 5 star but they only have drinks at the moment. Very nice staff Located at the beautiful Rio Tinto building Very nice ambience, fast wifi with comfortable seating and great lighting of the place.

Absolutely loved this café. Located on Margaret Street in Brisbane, they serve awesome coffees and a range of breakfast and lunch menus. On arrival, sparkling water is served which is great. I've ordered the roasted mushroom and it's amazing. Delicious with a generous amount of mushrooms, avocado puree and spinach. The iced latte is easily one of the best in the city, with an amazing roasted aroma of the beans and sweet balance from the milk served perfectly. Ambience is lively and bustling with the morning crowd having their cup of coffee.

The coffee is delicious and the vibe is everything we could have wanted and more. Service was incredible. Highly recommend!

Great coffee but a bit of a wait because it's so popular. Also $5.50 for a regular (I get alternative milk) so it's just a bit much for my daily dose.

Was really looking forward to the coffee here, unfortunately it was one of the worst espressos I've ever had. The expresso was so astringent, it was undrinkable. Astrigent and a very odd bitterness. Don't know how they got the grind and extraction so wrong.

Had a cappuccino which was top notch. The scrambled eggs on sourdough with extra bacon however was a little underwhelming. Breakfast and brunch options were also limited. Can't really complain though, since they call themselves Coffee Anthology and not Scrambled eggs anthology.

Sit down and sip on a short black 1/4 teaspoon of coconut sugar and a glass of complimentary sparkling water and alternate between the 2. When your done, grab a takeaway flat white extra shot :-) They have a range of different coffee blends to try. Each have their own unique taste. Food, attention to detail and taste great is the sour dough bread with avocado sprinkled with crushed nuts and a piece of lemon if you choose to use it. #coffeeanthology

Absolutely horrible. It was me and my bf's first visit and we were disappointed so much. We ordered two coffees and i asked for it to be extra hot (specifically) but it came out warm (not even hot) and my bf's was cold. The focus is more on asthetics than it is on service and quality. Their beans tasted alright but when served cold it ruins the experience. Also the food is quite mediocre when the price is that of a lunch and hardly we recieved a third of a plate with food on it.

Best coffee I have had in Brisbane! Didn't have food but everything being brought out looked lovely. I'm a very picky coffee drinker and I had to come back for a second coffee before leaving town:) friendly, bubbly staff.

Best coffee in town with good food to go with it !! :D & for such a busy restaurant the service was super friendly and very personalized! Will definitely be making a regular visit

Easily the best coffee in brisbane. Great staff who know their stuff and are always welcoming. Keep up the good work :)

Never had a bad coffee, coffee is always on point. Have been coming here daily for the last year. Impeccable customer service and attention.

Guys, you've always got great coffee but what on earth happened to your Avo toast???? You used to have the best in town so I didn't mind paying $7.50 for it but this morning I got some and it was only 1 slice of toast! And the Avo had big streaks of brown rotten bits through it! I can forgive a bit of brown on occasion, I'm not fussy, but who in the world eats one slice of toast for brekkie and pays $7.50 for it?! Granted, it's been a while since I've ordered food from you guys so this might be the new normal but far out, it is so not on. Get it together and bring back the second slice. I had to pinch a bit of bread out of someone's freezer stash (sorry whoever you are, I will replace!) to make sure I didn't starve. You only get 3 stars because my coffee was good.
Olivia Spasovski
Food looked and tasted great. Service was amazing. The staff made the place - friendly, efficient and happy! Not a bad word to say.
Iñaki Goñi
I come here often for lunch. I always get a great coffee and the food and service is top notch.
Leslie Pinzone
I ordered the gnocchi and a coffee then and one to take away...so glad I did for both! The whole meal and service was well done! Thank you kindly!

Beautiful food & coffee. Fabulous customer service. Highly recommend

Awesome food, amazing coffee and very friendly staff !

Coffee Anthology always take great care. Fantastic coffee, always hand-picked different beans from some of Australia's best roasters.

I ordered chili scrambled eggs with roasted king mushrooms and when the food was served I was really amazed by the amount and it’s delicious! The mushrooms were juicy and the sourdough was good! It’s a pleasant brunch time in here:)

June 2020. Went here for walk-in weekend brunch with the partner. They also accept table reservations as well, in light of the COVID-19 dining restrictions.
We ordered the Breaky Roll and Chilli Scramble with smoked salmon. Both dishes were hearty, with soft velvety eggs, a nice punchy sriracha-mayo sauce and generous amounts of salmon and thick cut bacon.
The coffees were smooth and well-made as well.
Friendly and efficient service. Casual ambience with limited indoor and outdoor seating available. Reasonable prices.
Overall, a solid cafe for breakfast/brunch and coffee.

Been meaning to try out this cafe for the longest time! Finally visited on a busy Saturday morning. This lovely cafe has both an indoor and outdoor seating area. Firstly, the selection of coffee is wonderful! Coffee anthology offers a selection and variety of beans every few/week.
The croissant Benedict was to die for! Delicious flavour and texture from the garlic almond crunch, and the creamy 63⁰ egg topped off the dish! Chilli scramble eggs was also perfect! Both dishes were well priced and very generous servicing as well.

Definitely recommend this place for a perfect start to your morning! Pip Ondadip
The worst pork belly I’ve ever had.
Gus O'Neill
Excellent service, delicious coffee and wonderful avocado toast. Eggs were undercooked even for a runny egg (undercooked whites); but I’m willing to chalk that up to the mystery and variability of eggs and would come back again.
Lauren Green
Delicious breakfast with perfectly cooked eggs. Coffee is consistently perfection.
Gordon
Green scrambled eggs with pork belly $18 - 5/5

Simplicity can sometimes be better and this was certainly the case here. Every single element was executed to perfection which made it impossible to fault this dish. The creamy scrambled eggs were heavenly and the quantity was monstrous. The pork belly was cooked perfectly and every bite melted in my mouth. The pork crackling was a delicious surprise - crispy and very well seasoned. The tangy pesto mayo complemented the pork belly excellently, but the tiniest flaw would be that the pesto flavour could have been stronger. Nonetheless, this dish definitely made my day and Coffee Anthology is a must-go if you happen to be in Brisbane.

Just on the outskirts of the Brisbane CBD this little place is worth the walk!

Well presented and friendly staff who we so welcoming certainly set the tone for this place.

With some lovely light lunch options I picked the green paw paw and chicken salad. The salad was great, with a hint of spice to remind you of that time you went to Thailand and that authentic salty/sour flavour, it was a meal that was delicious on a hot summers day!

I would certainly come back!
Mei
The food was not good enough. Too cheesy. I don't get why the ratings are so high. Overrated.

Everything made with passion😻 I can easily say that this place is the best place to have a lovely boosting morning!
Amazing coffee, we ordered two long black coffee with two different flavors, both were tasty, fresh, and perfectly served.
The breakfast was so good, the spicy scrambled egg was delicious, a little bit oily but yummy.
Excellent service, happy staff makes you feel happy 😉
One Full Spoon Of Sugar
Friendly service, food quick to be served, coffee was excellent. Ordered croissant bennedict, very satisfactory. Love the crumbs, the sauce, every element of the dishes
Lizzie’sFoodventures
Was not disappointed by the number one best brunch in Brisbane! We tried the waffles, the pasta, and the avo on toast with smoked salmon 😊 Amazing service and loved the environment too! Definitely recommend for the fantastic food 🤩

Always been an amazing place to go. Coffee has always been great and the staff have always been incredibly friendly. Could never recommend this place enough.

This bustling cafe is oddly tucked a few streets away from the CBD but it is well worth the detour!

We ordered a savory and a sweet dish to try and we definitely were not disappointed.

The presentation of the dishes alone would please any insta-foodie, but the food was also packed with flavor and just as delicious as it looked.
The caffeinated Waffles were perfectly balanced in contrasting but complimentary flavors, textures and elements.

And the coffee! These people are true connoisseurs of the cup and the brew was outstanding.

The menu is on the small side but Coffee Anthology does this best. Simple dishes, executed well.

Service was efficient and attentive.
Definitely one of my favorite Brisbane Cafes.

Sophie
Travelled from Melbourne for work and wanted a nice brekky/ brunch to enjoy whilst I was here.

Service was on the slow side, though I was seated on the bench so it could be that I was constantly being missed.

Unfortunately I couldn’t order coffee as they don’t do offer a decaf which is surprising for a cafe that prides themselves of their coffee.

Avo on toast was ordered this took over 35 mins to come which is far too long for a place that has maybe 8 items on their menu. It was okay but not something I’d wait over 30 mins for and the berry sauce was nice but didn’t complement the dish just sort of sat there for decoration and some colour, eggs were near impossible to eat with the the rest of the dish and the quinoa puff was over kill, way to much of it.

Definitely in need of more staff or better preparation.
Emilie Klitdal
Lovely atmosphere and outside seating! I ordered the nutella waffle and a chai latte. I might ask for the chai latte to be a little hotter next time (as they suggest on their menu). The waffle itself wasn’t impressive, as most cafè-waffles I try. Loved most of the decorations, though, especially the peanut butter mascarpone! The chocolate sauce was a bit too bitter for my liking. Hope to be back and try the avo toast or croissant Benedict.
The Gluten-Free Foodie
Having been a Brisbane local I never decided to venture in to the CBD on the weekend. When I was in town for a conference it was time to finally try and Coffee Anthology did not disappoint. Being gluten intolerant I was aware of the good range of dietary friendly dishes on the menu. I chose the Breakky Bowl which was excellent with one poached egg added. The almond chai was also quick, hot and enjoyable. I will definitely be back.
Law Yong Heng
Yesterday been there with my friend, we were having good time there sit back and sipping flat white, their service was quick and excellent, not to mention the atmosphere of the place was cosy and good
Avinash Rajah
Fantastic venue in the city. The red puff quinoa really complimented the avocado setting it apart from the many variations of the dish that I’ve sampled over time. I chose to add bacon, which wasn’t the best choice. Would make a different choice next time like salmon. Otherwise the coffee was OK and the service friendly.
Jennifer Issa
Coffee was nice Although it took a while to come out, service was great although I don’t suggest coming here for food, not so tasty and not worth the price, left hungry.
Andrew Monteith
This is the only place in Brisbane I have found that makes REALLY good coffee. The food here is also amazing. I got the savoury mince last time I was here... delicious
Melbourne Foodie
Absolutely loved the Benedict croissant- it was perfect and the nut crumb took it to the next level. Best coffee I’ve had away from Melbourne. Will retun again before we leave Brisbane.

At 9am on a weekday, this cafe was fairly busy, brimming with people in suits and blouses preparing for a day at work. I probably wouldn’t come here again at this time - I prefer a more laid back atmosphere that is more conducive to sitting for a while and having a conversation. Also, it didn’t help that the seating options are rather dismal if you have more than two people. You can either drag a chair up to a table for two if you managed to snag a table on the end of the row (as you can see in the photo) or you can sit at the bar table, as we did, which wasn’t exactly comfortable.

The food was really good though. I got the banoffee waffle ($17). The crunchy topping composed of cinnamon, sugar, and nuts were a perfect texture contrast to the softness of the waffle and the banana, and the two different types of cream (whipped and something else) balanced out the whole dish nicely.

Sadly, the chai latte ($4.50) was made with powder. The waitress (who was absolutely lovely, 10/10 service) informed me it was better quality than most. There was a unique note of something that I couldn’t quite identify, but in the end, powder is still powder. It was less sweet than some other places though (looking at you pane e vino).

I’m definitely going to come back at some point to try some of the baked goods. Or to get another waffle...

Been wanting to here for ages. There was a line up for coffee. The service was excellent. Cafe is gorgeous. Very fresh and vibrant. We just ordered coffees to go. We. Were serviced pretty quickly considering the line. I love barista that actually make eye contact. Means they care about their service. I love strong bold taste of coffee. Unfortunately for me it was too milky. But l can see why people come here. Will be back to try breaky next time.

This is a tale of 2 parts; in short the coffee (to my taste) is weak and cold (2 stars) and this is not the first time so I feel comfortable in saying this. Further the barista refuses to make it according to the customers requests and I am a coffee snob and appreciate the art and the science but ....this is not a competition so please listen to your customer.
In contrast the food was super (4 stars); on this occasion I had the miso scramble with no additions and I read a review below and I love salt and even I didn't need to add anything, that is a compliment coming from me because chefs should season the food perfectly and I do this was accomplished. It was heavy in sesame oil which made this a very rich breakfast dish. The thick slice of sourdough was not toasted and neither did it need to be - it was perfectly fresh and unadulterated making it a ideal companion to the unctuous generous serve of miso (3) egg scramble. My dining companion had the avo on toast, with an almond tarator on the toast and a blackberry chia relish on the side. Only one slice and that is reflected in the price $11.00. It is his staple so it must say it is good. Service is above average for a cafe.

It was a nice, bustling cafe in CBD. The waiting staffs were friendly and the food came pretty fast. Ordered chai latte and tiramisu waffle.

The chai latte was nice and not too overly sweet. The waffle was pretty delish and looked beautiful but tasted a bit too sweet for me. Loved coffee mascarpone, but the chocolate and ice cream kinda made it too heavy. The berries were a nice balance to counter the sweet flavour. I could use more berries for that dish 😆
Traverse
These guys are masters in coffee brewing.
Not only do they make the best damn coffee, they are also a walking encyclopaedia on everything coffee. From the different beans, different flavour notes, perfect temperature for the perfect shot etc.
Melissa Richmond
Friendly staff. We were seated immediately despite being almost lunch.
Lovely food. Had the croissant Benedict. Yums! Amazing coffee.
Definitely worth the visit.

Very good coffee, good food and quick service. Amazing staff👍🏽
Good Vibe.
Offers different coffee blends which suits for everyone. Food is always good.

Phenomenal coffee, very knowledgeable staff and amazing venue. I wish I worked closer so I could make this my daily. The bkon brewer makes such an unforgettably smooth coffee!

Being from Melbourne which is the capital of divine cafe culture I had to visit this place given it's rather high ratings. I thought it was ok but nothing really to rave over unfortunately. The menu was very different to what is published on zomato so I suggest you use it as a guide. I had the miso scrambled eggs on sourdough with ham and a soy chai latte. The miso scrambled eggs and ham were salt overkill so definitely not for those with a low sodium diet. The chai latte was ok but not overly impressive compared to the other places in Brisbane. I do have to admit that the waiting staff are very polite and attentive which was lovely to see.

Walked past this cafe after having our coffee and breakfast in Beach House. We decided to try the coffee here as it’s rated 4.8. We had espresso which neither of us is used to. But I’m sure espresso lovers would approve it.
We should come back here to try food. They look very nice and well presented.

Came here for lunch on a Wednesday. The place was busy but there was still plenty of seating available. The waiting staff who served me were very prompt and friendly. The flat white I ordered was smooth and had a lovely fruity undertone.

I ordered the Croissant Eggs Benedict with tumeric hollandaise and pork belly. One word: Wow. The tumeric hollandaise was one of the best I've tried. Perfectly balanced in flavour. The slow cooked eggs were melt in your mouth. The croissant was just as a croissant should be and that buttery texture was a match made in heaven with the tumeric.

The coffee and food came out fast, which was impressive considering the time of day.

Great house brews. The outdoor seating area is surprisingly cosy and great to people/dog watching. Inside decor is beautiful. Food is delicious here with deceiving portions. Very filling but makes me want to order more. Wi definitely be returning to try their whole menu.
Sasha Rebekah
best coffee in Brisbane, hands down. Its always busy but never a bad cup of coffee which is very hard to do. A great spot for breakfast with family or catch up for a meeting outside of the office. keep up the good work
Koni Chi
Went there twice and both with pleasant experience. Staffs are very knowledgeable with their coffee and they recommend different beans according to your preference. Food is great although the menu is small. Would certainly be my go to whenever I come to Brisbane.
@lydiaeatsbrisbane
Visited Coffee Anthology for brunch on a Thursday for lunch at 11:00am and was surprised with the number of people in the cafe. This cafe seems to continually be very popular and is always packed with lots of customers. We were seated after a short wait and served with some table water - the table water however turned out to be sparkling water which we were not a fan of so we requested regular tap water which the staff were able to accommodate.

I ordered the daddy's girl waffles which were really delicious. You could definitely tell that the waffles had a hint of coffee in them but the flavour was not overpowering. The white chocolate marscapone was delicious and not too sweet which was a perfect addition to the waffles. Overall, all components of the dish complemented the others very well.

The bagel was one of the cheaper items on the menu. It was definitely worth its price though. The smoked salmon on the bagel along with the capers and creme fraiche brought out some of the flavours you wouldn't expect of a regular bagel.

The croissant eggs benedict was slightly disappointing and is probably the low point of our visit. The eggs were extremely runny - it seemed as though the whites were barely even cooked and so, the yolk was completely runny too. Apart from the extremely runny eggs, the croissant was well toasted and the turmeric hollandaise was very unique. We ordered this dish with ham and were very pleasantly surprised with the thick cut of ham. This dish would have been a winner had it not been for the eggs which are a vital part of the dish.

The iced latte was slightly disappointing for its size. Nevertheless it was very tasty. The chai latte was also very delicious but once again the size is quite small for its price.

Overall, some tasty aspects at Coffee Anthology but just some disappointing points. Would love to revisit to retry some dishes and try out some others!

Finally got around to checking out this popular brunch spot a few weeks back and it did not disappoint! Everything from the service and ambience to the food and coffee was on point. I ordered a pork belly eggs benedict on croissant because it sounded like the most unique item on the lunch menu. It was served with a turmeric hollandaise and beetroot puree which added an extra dimension and depth to the overall dish. Can’t wait to check out their breakfast menu soon!

Came here on a Sunday morning as it was recommended by a lot of people and I’ve always wanted to try this place out. The place was packed but still managed to get a seat for 2 people. We ordered the “Croissant Eggs Benedict”($17), the “Warm Couscous Salad” ($16), passiontwist, carrot & apple juice (from the bottle) ($6.5) and a Cappuccino ($4).

Food:
The food was amazing, very unique in their ideas and very tasty. The “Warm Couscous Salad” was my favourite, it had a lovely balance between the cherry tomato, the feta cheese and the balsamic glaze sauce. The “Croissant Eggs Benedict” was delicious as well, I love the twist of putting croissants instead of the classic sourdough bread as usually I find the bread to be too dry or dense that it makes you full easily. The crispy croissant adds more flavour with the runny hollandaise sauce and the sauce was excellent (not too salty). The beetroot purée was a very nice touch as well, very smooth and the beetroot flavour was very subtle but still added flavour to the eggs.

Price:
For the portion of each dish, the costs are quite average for a classic eggs benedict dish (usually they are at least $16). But definitely worth it for these dishes as it does fill you up and they were very flavourful and unique (with their added twist in making it different to other places).

Staff and Service:
The waiter staff were friendly and very patient when taking our orders. I was a bit disappointed that the coffee was brought out cold and we did have to wait a bit for the food and coffee to come. I wouldn’t blame them because it was very busy at the time and there wasn’t a lot of staff. We were also seated more towards the back of the restaurant so not a lot of waiters would walk past (only when bringing food and drinks to other tables near us) so it was a bit hard to get their attention.

Overall:
I really enjoyed the food, they were delicious and at a reasonable price considering the portion of the dishes. I would recommend to try the Couscous Salad and Eggs Benedict. I wouldn’t mind coming back to try more on their menu.

Very good service and good for coffee corner but not specialist in food. Just drink coffee.
Anyone who looking for breakfast ,I do recommend to find somewhere else.

I have been here couple of times in the past but they have completely changed the structure it’s now expanded
so on a very tired morning almost half a sleep , I went to this cafe to grab a coffee and a bite to eat
As soon as I got there the waiter running in and help me get a seat got served chilled water in a second and a menu
The service is absolutely their part to remember so quick and so professional
As expected the coffee was absolutely amazing and the breakfast was delicious
I felt like I finally woken up
I definitely recommend this place and I will be back and won’t forget to take a photo next time. 🙌🏻
Winnie Fu
My friend highly recommended this place but I was a bit disappointed. The coffee was good, but just a bit weak for me. Food was okay, nothing impressive /special. Melbourne definitely has better coffee and brunch places than Brisbane.
David Borginho
Really great coffee with pretty good food. Although, incredibly presented food but just lacking that something special. Completely understand why they say its best coffee in town though!
Bun's Food Diaries
Wow I haven't had a dish decorated with so many flowers before but the presentation of the poppy seed and orange waffle was just so pretty. I'm not usually a fan of citrus in desserts but this wasn't too much at all and the different components went together well. The savoury mince with pork belly was also yum, well cooked. Seems their menu changes as the menu we got wasn't the one on zomato. Staff welcome us pretty much as soon as we walked in and service was pleasant. Would recommend.
Igor Anany
Very nice and beautiful place. Food and coffee is amazing!!! Loved it so much. Definitely must visit spot when you are in Brisbane. New York Cheesecake is baked and tastes gorgeous.
Nicky Lim
Just popped in for a latte. The coffee was good and the staff were nice and helpful. Making the experience so much enjoyable. Loved their coffee art.

I only wanted coffee. I read some reviews saying the coffee was good so had to try it.

I drink long black so good coffee is a must.

it was worth the walk the coffee is amazing. It was smooth and a great temperature.

I'd definietly recommend.
John Smith
The service was good and quite quick, however i was disappointed with the menu. Different menu to the one posted on here, with only about 5 options for breakfast, which is frustrating when you choose a menu for dietary requirements only to find out that you can't actually order anything when you get there. Wouldn't recommend if you are eating with any vegans. The coffee was good but honestly was a little disappointed considering the hype around this place. Would return again for a coffee if i was in the area!
Bonnie Yang
This is my second time to enjoy lunch here, everything is good. The staffs are always helpful and smiling:)
The cappuccino is my favorite ! Just one thing the table need more attentive cleaning :)
Yoyo
I don't understand why they sweeten their iced lattes. They should ask the customer first if they want sugar in the coffee...

If they are going to put the word "coffee" in the shop name, they should serve it the right way.
Michael Ball
Great busy though calm atmosphere. Love the coffee...the choices make the difference. Fantastic staff...knowledgeable and friendly. Keep up the great work
Ani Elle
The coffee was good, we had a lunch there with hubby who ordered eggs benedict with salmon, the eggs were undercooked thus too runny. I had the pork belly burger and I had the impression that the pork had been reheated in the microwave. The service could be better, but the coffee great:)
Jo
Was visiting from Melbourne for the weekend and came across this gorgeous place. Being from specialty coffee background, this place sparked my interest and did not disappoint. The staff were lovely and attentive, quick service, food was awesome and even better coffee! Thanks Coffee Anthology for a great Brisbane cafe experience.

Very attractive plate as well as taste! The chai latte is perfect. I really enjoy having this nice breakfast here and begin a new day with a good mood.

Have been staying in Fortitude Valley for the past week and noticed there wasn’t many places for brunch and the ones that seemed decent were closed over the new year period, so we headed to Zomato and found this lovely place!

Cute little place that seems quite busy for obvious reasons!
Staff were lovely and welcoming, and didn’t have to wait for a table which was good.
Kudos to the one chef doing all the orders. What a legend!

Our order included smashed avo and a poke bowl with apple juice, coffee. Oh and a side of haloumi as always.
Very tasty although I probably would love to see feta instead of ricotta on top of the smashed avo (personal preference though)
@Foodieguide_lily
Great coffee and great service - I love that you get sparkling water for free here although if they could leave a jug of water with you (any water) rather than a small glass it would be good. Staff are friendly and I love the quality of the breakfasts too even if they are a bit small. Prices are good and it's a very pleasant spot to be in.
LAC
Fast friendly service and yummy food!
Come here a few times for breakfast, had the avocado on toast which was great!
Also tried the salmon bagel, which didn't disappoint!
Definitely recommend!
Cherlyn
Exceptional food, coffee and service! Their gnocchi is absolutely heavenly, the ambience of the cafe is simply lovely. Would recommend this as a place to get some work done outside of home or a chill afternoon date. They do coffee like pros here, and you’ll not be left disappointed. Only drawback is the lack of WiFi for customers, but I’ll live! :)
Xuyi3791
It is the best coffee I have tried in Brisbane, excellent fusion of milk and espresso, really love it!Good service, close to garden point campus of QUT
Kate Mei Lin Cooper
Love this place, would recommend! Came here for a coffee last week, will definitely be back. The brew is top notch, and service is stellar. Everything came out quick, and prices are a bit steep but worth it.

When you get asked if you want a more fruity or chocolatey coffee, you know you're in good hands. This place has fantastic coffee! The staff are so attentive and friendly, you are greeted within a second of stepping foot inside the cafe. They have two coffee machines - one for take away and another for dine in. The coffee and food came out within 10 mins of sitting down so you're definitely not waiting long if your stomach is rumbling. Serving mineral water is a plus!!! Awesome cafe!
Tracy Law
Had a really nice breakfast here with friend. The food and service are both really good. We ordered their winter menu. The waffle is really tasty and fancy while the omelette is really fulfilling as well (the serving surprise me 😆). However, a little tip here for someone going for the omelette, a wedge a lemon will go really well with it 😉 They are also really passionate to get your coffee right, at first I feel the coffee isn't hot enough so they make me another one and make sure I like it (for the staff who might see this, heat up the cup before making the coffee will make coffee stay hotter for longer 😉)
Jas HUANG
Awesome experience. The foods were very well presented. Waitress are friendly and looks very tidy.
Wanted to try mushrooms next time. Recommend to have meals here before or after walking around botanic garden.
Danelle Lim Yun
Really great coffee and brunch dishes. We ordered the truffled eggs Ben with pork belly, smoked salmon and the smoked salmon bagel, mocha, iced latte and flat white. They all tasted really wonderful. I loved the truffle flavour and the eggs were slightly solid but slightly runny. I'd definitely come back again to try their breakfast dishes.
Mea
Caffeinated Waffle from @coffeeanthology - the seasonal berries goes really well with the waffle, a must try if you are visiting Coffee Anthology👍
Great and quick service. Food was tasty however eggs were a little sloppy. Only open until 12:00 on Saturday’s.. Very reasonably priced and coffee tasted good, good to see bonsoy in use!

The only brunch we had in Brisbane. Attracted by good reviews [Australia’s Best Cafe 2016😧] and the name of the cafe seems like they can make a hella good coffee ☕️ shallow much!?😂
.
The environment was a bit letdown. I wasn’t expecting such a small cafe venue right next to a little office building in a wide open space, people are constantly walking by which wasn't relaxing🏃🏼🗣
.
I really wanna try the truffled omelette but it only serve till 11pm so we went to TRUFFLED EGGS BENEDICT with pork belly ($16) + extra bacon ($4) instead 🐽🍳
.
It was good but not as outstanding as the hype. I can’t seem to find any truffle in the dish too. The menu is quite normal, would be better if there were more options. On a positive note, the 63° eggs were well made, I really enjoyed the pork belly and thick cut bacon and the presentation was decent.
.
Coffee was alright, could be stronger tho. Not as good as expected. I guess you jus can’t compare it with the coffee in Melbourne.☕️
.
I am curious about the taste of ''the Paris Hilton" would like to try it if I had a chance😂😂

Lovely, smooth coffee with a steady stream of customers. These guys know what they're doing. And sparkling water when you sit down! You've got me.

Long queue for take away coffee.
Order an iced latte but it was sweet? wondered whether did they use coffee syrup or sweetened milk in this? not what coffee lovers like...sweetened coffee
not impressed...
food was good though, loved the 63 deg eggs!

Never had a bad coffee here, EVER!

However, the food we were served today were a tad cold. They still tasted fine, just wished the food were cooked slightly longer.

Again with the runny White in my egg 🍳 benny. It was ok but not fabulous. Staff were very attentive and even though it appeared to be extremely busy I was serviced quite quickly. Coffee was excellent.

Loved this place so much. The iced latte was such a small serving, but the eggs benedict with pork belly was quite an experienced having something like that for breakfast! Loved it. Seemed so busy with the coffee rush in the morning.

Espresso and food were superb. Service staff was friendly and efficient. I'll happily go out of my way for a return visit on my next trip to Brisbane.

Fantastic & friendly service. Fantastic food. Fantastic coffee. We're from Perth where genuine service can be hard to find. This was a breath of fresh air.

Good Vibes, and staff was succinct and quick with orders. While there was limited food items on the menu, the food we ordered was very, very good, especially since it was cooked and ready within 15-20 mins on a busy lunch hour. Coffee hit the spot, and was well brewed. Good place for catch-ups with friends and will be back again.

First of all. Coffee was excellent. We just loved it.
Food was nice as well. Especially the salmon confit.
Service was quite good, friendly and professional. Will definitely come back again.

Came here this morning for breakfast. The cafe itself has a cool vibe and the staff all were very friendly and attentive. Although unfortunately the coffee was just OK very warm and the food was below average... the eggs were pretty much not cooked- none of us ate them, and there was only a few options on the menu to choose from in the first place.
Will not be returning and am mainly writing this post so other people don't get fooled by the high rating.

Always a line for coffee and if you are a serious coffee lover, this is definitely the place to your morning caffeine hit. Not a great range of food but each dish is beautifully presented. Service was friendly and attentive.

The coffee was creamy and made me feel happy inside. My morning was made instantly better with a coffee that wasn't burnt or foul tasting. Better yet, it's been near perfect every time I've visited. The only problem is lack of air-conditioning. I would be happy to return at a moment's notice.

Coffee Anthology has quickly become one of my favourite breakfast places. It's a shame they don't open on Sundays as well! Upon arriving we had to wait for a table but staff were accommodating and brought us water while we waited as it was a hot morning. We didn't have to wait long and were seated outside. The coffee was great and the pannacotta was the perfect consistency - not too firm, not too soft. Flavour were well balanced and not too sweet. I'm looking forward to returning soon!

I have to go against the grain here after standing in a queue with great expectations my flat white missed the mark. I only had time for a take away so ordered the strongest blend ( think it was -7?) The coffee was very smooth, no bitterness & creamy hence the 3 rating, but definitely missed out on the strength aspect. Also missed the mark on the presentation upon removing the lid there was no pretty coffee art as shown in the dine in pics. Also eftpos only for take- aways (unless you go inside & wait again) which was rather inconvenient for me being in a hurry

Needed a place nearby for lunch and with the strong Zomato rating we thought this place was worth a try. We weren't disappointed.
My colleague ordered the salmon bagel and coffee, and I ordered the roast pork roll. The salmon bagel was the better dish. I wasn't a fan of the bread for my pork roll but still enjoyed it overall. The coffee was reported to be good.
Reasonably priced and well located so certainly worth at least another visit to try other items on the menu.

The coffee line is usually busy in front of the place. So people know this place for a good hot brew. I went there for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised as a non coffee drinker that they value their teas equally.
Top. The service was excellent, friendly, welcoming and speedy.
The truffle eggs Benedict were yummy. I will be back.

We met relatives from out of town here for breakfast. What a great place!!! Excellent coffee, fantastic food and attentive staff. I hadn't booked for our party of 9, but they accommodated us without a fuss. All meals were beautifully presented with edible flower petals adding vibrant colour. I will definitely be visiting Coffee Anthology again!

After looking at the reviews, I tried this place not once but thrice. The coffee tasted pedestrian every time. I still want to give them the benefit of doubt but all the three experiences have been disappointing. Neither the coffee nor the service was anywhere close to what I would call good.

This is in the collection of great breakfasts in Brisbane, so it seemed only appropriate to come here. The venue is gorgeous, open and spacious, also amazing that they have a coffee stand at the front for those just swooping by to order coffee. the almond latte I ordered was AMAZING and I can see why people hang here for the coffee!!!
Wait staff seemed very busy and a little flustered, we were approached 3 times to have our order taken despite that one of them had already done it.
The menu is different from what is here on zomato - current menu is a little too simple, but otherwise offers the most basic of what you'd expect to get for breakfast. I ordered avocado and eggs while my parter ordered the pulled pork benedict. I especially LOVE how they do the eggs here! So unique! and flavours were brilliant, couldn't fault it, including their fresh produce.
If im ever back in Brissy id come back, and recommend this place to others!

My colleagues come here for coffee every day, but not being a bean hunter myself have never tried their fare. Came for breakfast this morning with a group from work and whilst the menu didn't particular inspire me, I have to say I was impressed with my eggs Benedict which I had with the pulled pork option. The mix of flavours and textures worked superbly and I was happy that the food exceeded my expectations. The only thing I didn't like was the crust of the sourdough which was too hard, and thus difficult to cut.

Hands down, the best coffee in CBD Brisbane. You might end up in a queue starting 0730 hrs and there is always a bit of rush for that last coffee - which I believe is served at 4 pm - we have missed the bus a couple of times. They serve spring/regular water to everyone which is great!

When it comes to coffee you cannot go past this place!! There is a reason they for the best coffee in Brisbane award! I have had a few of their blends now and they continue to wow.

One of the Brisbane city's leading and finest cafes. When 63 degree poached eggs are on the menu you know you're in for a good time. Don't forget the coffee either
Rebecca
A nice little spot for brunch in the city. The coffee was very good and seems to be what they are most popular for. The matcha waffles were tasty but a little on the dry side
