Always been my favourite steak restaurant. I tried their beef short rib for the first time tonight, it taste amazing!! Beef was very tender and with great flavour. Portion is very good (they divided it into 2 portion because no share plates during Covid). I ordered OP rib on the Bone, which is delicious, it was slightly overcooked (first time it ever happened) but it taste heavenly regardless. The waitress wanted to change it for me but I didn’t want to waste food and plus it’s still a wonderful piece of steak, so I told her I’ll keep it. My partner ordered the fish of the day (I believe it’s Cod) it was very very tender and tasty. Black Hide never cease to impress and amaze me.
The owner came out at one point during the dinner and told everyone he’s so happy to see us again in a very genuine and emotional way. Very cute moment, I was very touched😭. The waiter and waitress are very polite, efficient and friendly as always. 10/10 highly recommend.
I was lucky to have a successful booking at this award-winning restaurant last night after the first stage of releasing dine-facility in restaurant.
To celebrate my wife’s birthday, I have pre-arranged it two week’s ago. It only served a pre-set three courses dinner. The restaurant was occupied by two group of diners. Our table of two and another table of eight. Two professional gentlemen looked after the whole spacious dining room.
We were arranged to sit far apart to the other group so we were comfortably enjoyed our dinner with privacy.
Entrees of Arancini and the signature beef rib earned our appreciation, particularly the beef rib was so tenderized that melted in our mouth. Incidentally, we had the same sort of steaks as our last time - Wagyu Sirloin MS 5 and Wagyu Eye Fillet MS 3. Both were requested in med-rare and they accompanied with toasted Wagyu fat potato and pumpkin with salad. Portions of steak and culinary skill of the chef were flawless. While we were full up to neck, the deserts came with our requested chocolate mouse for the birthday girl and my apple tarte tatin. We have not had such full on dinner for a while and thanks for the hospitality from the whole team.
👍😋👍
Came here on my birthday, which falls on a weekday, thus the place was not too crowded. The staff were super friendly and attentive; they noticed it straight away that I brought a cake, proceed to take it for storage, plated it prettily and even added fresh fruits as decorations, then served it as my dessert after my main meal.
For the main meal, I ordered the Wagyu Marble 5+ steak, with mushroom sauce. The steak was tender and easy to cut, melting in the mouth. The mushroom sauce was also great; perfectly seasoned and a great fit for the steak. I’d recommend tasting the meat by itself first before dipping it into the sauce, just to savour the actual taste of the meat.
A great place to enjoy a fulfilling dinner with your significant other or to celebrate your special day.
Third Birthday dinner from the end of last year. He decided to take me to Black Hide on Caxton Street, having really enjoyed our last dinner at the Casino and wanting to explore the other branch. . With the extremely busy holiday season (and the curse of being born between Christmas and New Year), I was pleased that he remembered to make a reservation to ensure we could get a seating. In contrast to the refined elegance of the Treasury, this branch was a lot more rustic and relaxed. The menu was largely the same between stores.
. Plenty of choice for both the palate and the cuisine preferred. Top level aged beef, grass and grain fed and dry aged. Hospitable waitpeople and up to or exceeding the Gambaro excellence. Relaxed comfortable attentive quality and value. Well done.
Black Hide by Gambaro sits opposite the Gambaro Hotel on Caxton street. Street parking is scarce but parking is ~$11 up at the Barracks for approximately 3-5 hours or free for 2 hours or less. Entering to a quite, intimate bar, we had drinks before our reservation. Recommend the Black Forest cocktail -it really tastes like the cake! Behind the bar is the seating area. It feels intimate and exclusive, its calm and offers a great atmosphere. I had the scallops which were mind-blowing, especially since I’m not a seafood eater. I had the 350g sirloin which was cooked to perfection, with delicious potatoes and garlic, a gorgeous sauce and mushy peas as a side. Dishes are well priced and well worth it and table service is amazing-highly recommend. Black Hide also has a ‘sister restaurant’ at Brisbane’s treasury casino with an almost identical menu. Would definitely go again!
My boyfriend brought me here for lunch as a surprise for Valentine’s day. His workmate had recommended this place to him. The staff were polite and greeted us when we came in and then took us to our tables. They then explained to us the menu and gave us recommendations. We both ordered one of the wagyu steaks but different cuts and then a side of chips and some beer. The food then arrived after an okay amount of time. Both my boyfriend and I took our first bite of the wagyu and just looked at each other like ‘wow this is really good’. I would say it was the most juiciest, softest steak I’ve ever had. I had the wagyu eye fillet which was quite fatty so would only recommend for people who really love their meat fat or else my boyfriend got the sirloin which was less fattier. Only thing about the steak was that we both felt there was too much salt on it so if I came here again I would probably ask for less salt or just none at all. The chips were really good as well and it came with this really good and strong flavoured aioli dip. Overall would definitely recommend but more on the pricier side so maybe for special occasion or if you’re just really feeling like some good steak.
Best place to get wagyu steak in Brisbane! Highly recommended, service is fabulous! There are two private rooms that's great for small groups. Been here twice and both times very enjoyable, allow for a pricy meal but the quality is worth is.
Beautiful restaurant, delicious food and very friendly staff. I'm not a Wagyu fan so had the Angus eye fillet it was a perfect medium rare, soft and full of flavour. The chocolate, passion fruit and macadamia dessert is a must try as well.

What a delightful restaurant! Located in the heart of Caxton Street, this restaurant adds a bit of class to the otherwise bustling pub scene. I booked easily through the Dimmi app, and received a courtesy call to follow up my booking.
I love the decor and feel of this place, it’s classy and boasts “special occasion”! For me, my special occasion was my university graduation and my parents flew up from Perth to be with me. My mum is a tiny Asian lady who could always do with a delicious steak!!!
Such wonderful service, thank you Stephen for your efforts to care for us this evening. My Score 3+ Angus Rib Eye was delicious, my mum loved the roast pumpkin side and wine, and dad loved his Score 5+ Rump Cap. Mum of course ate her Rump Cap, some of my Rib eye and all of the pumpkin and seasoned veggie sides. Bless her!
Love this place, I will be back for my next special occasion!!!
Absolutely loved the steak! Picture doesn’t do justice.. the steak was cooked to perfection - juicy, so soft it melts in your mouth, a must try when in Brisbane. Very friendly staff. Loved the sorbet too!
2nd visit
Customer service was very good.
Loving the steak here, I’ve got no complains for the dessert. It was the best creme brûlée I’ve ever eaten. Would definitely come back for the dessert!
Nice food and good service. Restaurant was pretty dark for some reason which made it difficult to see how the steak was cooked.
Tuna salad was brilliant!! We enjoyed our mains and desserts too.
Will try the Gambaro seafood restaurant across the road also. Nice and close to a couple of bars for pre-dinner drinks
This place is not only about the amazing service, but this restaurant serves up some seriously amazing steak. I find it hard to eat a steak I love in Brisbane, but I'm never disappointed here. Crispy and salty on the outside and tender on the inside - perfect.
Bone marrow is also a must try!
Went there with my friend for a formal dinner experience as I’ve been away from steakhouse fo so long. Decorated in black theme, the place had a good reflection on it name. We ordered lamb tongue for shared starter, Angus sirloin and Angus rib on bone for the main. Did not order matching wines as drivers.
The starter came fast and had an astonishing taste. Soft lamb tongue slices were cooked just well, without any stinky smell of lamb. The Rib on Bone was indeed a big serve and the grill was done just well, leaving juicy tastes. The sirloin was also done excellent and the outstanding meat quality can be easily taste out.
Awesome steak experience in Brisbane. Everything was beyond the expectation, on yes including the price....

Great steak flavour and cooked well. Nice ambiance and customer service was great as well. Nice place for a dinner for 2 and suppose Friends as well but a bit more private for couples.
We found the service at Black Hide to be top notch, our waiter new about all the foods and recommended most of the dishes we chose, which we where happy we took his advice. We had the Tomahawk which was packed with flavour, nice marbling fatty flavour and cooked medium rare to perfection. What we expected for this cut of beef. We ate there with Friends and found it easy to have conversation and the lighting to be perfect. It is quite pricey but we thinks its worth it for the whole experience you get. I would put this place in our top 5 when it comes to favourite Steak Restaraunts. Ps. The beef short ribs entree and the chocolate liquid desert is highly recommended.
We had an incredible experience at this restaurant only a few weeks ago for my birthday. We decided on the day that we were going to go for dinner that night and the restaurant staff kindly accommodated our request. We ordered a beautiful bottle of Shiraz. Complimentary bread was served to us at the start. For entree we had natural oysters which were lovely. For main I had the Angus eye fillet with a side of onion rings and garden salad. The steak was divine. You probably don't even need to order too many sides and the steak is filling. My partner had the Angus Rib on the bone which was also delicious. He had it with the Bone Marrow which was completely worthwhile. For dessert we had a chocolate cake which was thoughtfully presented with a sparkler for my birthday. Service was impeccable. Carl looked after us and ensured we were looked after throughout the evening. Wonderful night out.
We enjoyed an outstanding evening here for a special occasion. This is my new got to. The service was exceptional. We had the most magnificent dinner in the private Wagyu Room. You go for the steaks but the entrees are sooo good. Beef short ribs, italian meatballs, arancini, oysters kilpatrick. Just the best. We all enjoyed beautifully cooked Angus meat cuts for mains and don't miss the sides, grilled zucchinis and heirloom carrots. I thought the wine list was very good. It's been a long time since I've been to a restaurant that has gone above and beyond. We will remember this evening for a long time. Thank you so much!
Best eye fillet in years
Perfectly done
Service and venue great
Calamari entree also great
Highly recommended
We had lunch but would definitely have dinner for a special occasion
Best dinner out in Brisbane! Started off with complimentary fresh bread. Ordered beef ribs as a starter to share. They were so tender and full of flavour. Ordered the ribeye wagyu which was also cooked perfectly and is undoubtedly the best steak ever! The pork belly wasn't great. It was a bit dry and despite looking like crunchy crackling in the picture, it was a bit chewy. Will definitely be back though for the beef ribs and steak!
$100 for 2 is conservative but the cost was well worth it. If you're into your steaks then this is the place to go. Excellent and cooked to your liking.
Great experience! Awesome service, nice set up, some of the food takes long to cook but it is advised on the menu so you can order in advance if you've booked in advance. All food was good quality, this is a grastronomic restaurant so don't expect low price here. The massive Tomahawk steak is just the best and jucy steak I have ever eaten. I recommend only if you have the budget for it! The entree eare good, vegetables as well. Nothing to fault them on.
Black hide steakhouse. Gambaro group's signature steak house on Caxton street. Have you heard of it? Here's what I found.
Wagyu!! Well, F1 that is ( 50% full blood and 50% something else ). I couldn't find the info on Stanbroke beef's website. ) but the restaurant staff assured me it was F1.
The entrée menu is awesome, nuff said.
The steak.
F1 is not without it's charm. 'Cross bred' Wagyu although not as highly valued as 'full blood' can still have some amazing flavour characteristics. It can also be total crap! Black Hide offered a few cuts, the two I tasted were the sirloin and rib eye.
'Chefs recommendations' this time landed my steak at a pinky medium rare. Not what I would have chosen but I dug in. BOOM! All the tenderness, all the moisture, it was definitely a 5+ but something was missing. Flavour. Don't get me wrong it was a great steak but I have a sneaking suspicion that it was too fresh and the flavours had still time left to develop. The rib eye however was on point, truly divine and it wasn't hard to tell the difference.
The experience over all was great. All the sides were impressive. The service was lovely and the wine was what it needed to be.
The Hack will be back - for the organic next time.)
My partner and I had a night out on the town and choose to have dinner here, great choice it was that's for sure! Best steaks we have had in a very long time, great desserts, tasty cocktails and excellent service. Highly recommended
The food was so amazing! The short ribs were so delicious and tender, falling apart! All the steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were all delicious! The only reason I wouldn't give them a five is their poor service, when we arrived, on time for our booking, our table wasn't ready and instead of being offered drinks by the bar they left us standing around awkwardly. Furthermore, when we finally got our table there was one setting too little and they didn't even apologise when they squeezed in another seating at a table obviously too small for our party. Throughout the night the service was pretty cold and unfriendly so I think this is an area for improvement for them
Beautiful. When we heard we were going to a steak house for a friends birthday, we thought oh ok it's just casj. We were so wrong. This place is lovely. Walked in greeted pleasantly and given the "Royal" treatment; compared to other restaurants. Service was fantastic and we never had to ask for water or menus or when our food was coming.
My friend and I had the beef ragou which was generous serving and tasted quite nice. The others had steak and the pork cutlet and they devoured it in no time, saying how much they love steak! We were one of the last to be there for the night and did not feel rushed or unwelcome.
Overall pleasant and more than expected. Will be back!
You must order their signature steak! Literally to die for. Best steak in Brisbane by far. Always consistently good service and good. One of my favorite restaurant in brissy
This place never fails to impress me - the wine list is magnificent as it is well supported by the long standing Gambaro's Seafood Restaurant across the road - the service is exceptional and well driven by the Maitre d, Vincent. The steaks are absolutely magnificent - always perfectly cooked and of the highest quality. The variety is well selected and not excessive. The sides are well proportioned and at a standard to be expected of a Gambaro's restaurant - magnificent French mushy peas. Do not sit in the back table in the little amphitheater - the lights are outrageously bright and there is little to no circulation. Easily the best place to sit, surprisingly, is near the bar.
Slick Chef Extraordinaire. Gangster Of Food.

This is definitely one of (if not the best) steak joint in Brisbane. Very suave restaurant that has great service, nice decor and amazing food (especially the steaks) and wine to match. Love this place and definitely worth spending the extra $$$
Nice swanky place that reminded me of one of those upmarket New York restaurants. Staff were attentive and professional. Cocktail and wine list were superb and menu was good! Steak was juicy and cooked to your liking and they got it right!! Sides were good too.

The words running through my head as I take another bite of the steak au poivre at Black Hide Steakhouse are 'this is one of the best steaks I've eaten'. Meltingly tender Angus eye fillet with a marble score of 3+, it comes accompanied by bone marrow removed from the bone onsite and wrapped in potato. I'm alternating between the marrow and the steak and combining the two, luxuriating in the smooth texture and greasy goodness against the buttery flesh.
Try the rib Enteree. Good dinner great service. Wasn't all that I had hoped for the steak was good, the rib entree was sensational.
Was under whelmed with the restaurant layout. If the main (ribeye /bone/aged), was as good as the entree it would have been 10/10.
Incredibly delicious!. So delicious! The steaks were absolutely perfect, top three I've tried in my life. The ambiance is formal, romantic, and intimate. The service was super attentive and knowledgeable, so impressive. And on a busy Friday night, too. Can't wait to go back!
Marvellous. Food - Yum!
Service - Excellent!
Will spread the word and be back for sure!
Well done!
First Encounter. I went here for a birthday and left slightly deflated. I was expecting the place to blow me away and reign supreme as the new place for me to enjoy a good steak. Believe me, no expense was omitted (mates dad, big chief paid for everything) and it was good- but not mouth drooling great. Had everything from the wagyu, rump, porterhouse a range of sides and I just couldnt get past the pretentiousness of it all. Overall it wasn't a bad meal, but for the price (nearly $500 for all meals and 6 glasses of wine) it just didn't demand my attention to return anytime soon. Had better steaks elsewhere throughout Brisbane for cheaper!
Great birthday. We visited for a friends birthday & we blown away by the food, the service & the extensive wine list. The entree/tapas of beef short rib was amazing! We are all still talking about it - meltingly tender and served with fresh herb salad - yum! For mains, Most of the table enjoyed steaks, which were all cooked perfectly, although no one was impressed by the single roast price of roast potato that accompanied it. It was the size of a large grape! Hardly a generous portion. I chose the barramundi special that was served with smoked oysters & oxtail. Unusual but exceptional. The service was professional & efficient. The maître de went out of his way to offer the "birthday boy" a complementary shot of liquor & the staff sang happy birthday. Great night! Thoroughly recommend.
Good steak. Went to this restaurant for lunch and loved it! I had the organic eye fillet and the meat melted in my mouth. It is a bit expensive, but definitely worth going if you like steak. Our waitress Hyemin was great.
An exceptional experience! The whole meal of Oysters, Champagne, Steak with Bermaise sauce, Shiraz, Profiteroles was impressive! The service was also a step above - one of the best dinning experiences we have had in Brisbane - hard to fault!
Lovely dining experience. Ordered the organic eye fillet (rare) with bone marrow and mushy peas. If im being picky, the peppercorn sauce was a bit sweet, the potatoes that come with the meal weren't particularly generous by any means, and the bench seating isnt great for your back - but these are not things that would stop me coming back. The meal was delicious and the service was great. Will be returning.
Simply the best. We had a table for four booked at late notice and were given a time to be there in order to accomodate us. We arrived precisely at the time and the table was ready to go. We got led through the restaurant to one of the private rooms with a round table for 4. The room itself was cosy and welcoming. Our waiter took the time to ask some questions around what the girls like to drink and recommended a wine to suit. Boys got a couple of beers.
We couldn't decide on whether we wanted a half doz or a full doz of the natural oysters, so our immaculately dressed waiter suggest 8. Perfect haha. The oysters came with a red wine & eschallot vinegar. The best oysters I can remember eating.
After some deliberation on mains the boys went with the chef recommendation of OP rib on the bone. This is where simply the best comes in. I am almost an exclusive steak eater and this was the best I've eaten. Melt in the mouth style.
Also being devoured around the table was the barra, more OP rib and something else I cant recall.
We did have dessert which was also magnificent, the profiteroles and the creme brulee.
Overall I can not stop raving about this place. The food was magnificent, the service equally so. This place is the full dining experience.
Everything about this restaurant was perfect!
Great ambiance on arrival and throughout the night, excellent service by the wait staff which were incredibly groomed in a nice uniform. And the most important aspect of the restaurant- the food was excellent. All four of us who dined here had a lovely steak and desserts.
We will be back!
I will rate it 9.9 out of 10, why?. We went here on a Wednesday night. I want to keep this short. I have ate at many restaurants, many at Southbank, Portside, Emporium, Gold Coast etc, the list goes on.
This place, the Cut Steakhouse and Tapas tops all the categories, from professional staff that genuinely care for you, especially the gentleman in the suit (I'm sorry I forgot your name) to the absolute exquisite tasting food. Service was absolutely A+, never had better anywhere in my entire life. It was that amazing.
We ordered the Salt and Pepper Calamari, 2 X Wagyu Steak, 1 side salad, 1 steamed vegies and and absolute off the charts Creme Brulee.
For the people looking for reviews about this restaurant. We may have different points of standards when it comes to food, But if you want A+ service, A+ food and an A+ experience, Cut steakhouse is the way to go.
I do not work for Cut nor do I have anything to do with them, I am plainly a very very satisfied customer who would not even hesitate, going back to them.
the 0.1 I leave, is for everyone, theres always room for improvement, and I'm sure I would be even happier the next time i go back.
If theres one thing I need to pick out on, which of course is very very minor. Is the way our steak was served. The steak was cut for us when served. I personally do not like that as it leaves out all the juices and makes the steak cool a lot quicker.
All in all, this restaurant is a must go. If you've come this far to look at this review, you wont go wrong.
Thank you to the gentleman in the suit, and the rest of the staff, I will be back with my girlfriend, not just for our anniversary this time, but just because you guys are so good at what you guys do and the amount of effort you put in to make our evening so happy.
All the best!!!
Great dinner on a busy Saturday with exquisite food and well executed service. ( Thanks to the Wonderful man in a suit for performing such a charming Birthday song and looking after us ) Will definitely be back to try their Tomahawk and dessert selection.
Steak perfectly cooked. Juicy and tender. Staff eager to please. Only thing that let them down was sauce on pork spare ribs for starter was average
Amazing!. We decided to have a few tapas and then share the Tomohawk and it turned out to be perfect! There were 5 of us and we had the beef ribs (amazing) pork ribs (amazing) beef skewers (amazing) polenta (amazing) squid (amazing) and meatballs (okay) then moved onto the 1.2kg Tomohawk with was plenty to share between 5 (not 1-3) like they suggest, we got a few sides and the pumpkin was the stand out.
Will definitely be back and I recommend to all
Fantastic!. To say this restaurant just has great food is an understatement. On top of the excellent, qualty food, you're embraced with lovely staff and services which ensure that you have a great dining experience. All in all, great food, great people and a great way to spend a friday afternoon, or any day of the week really!
Staffing detail still pretty average. Attention to detail a bit lacking after 5 weeks of opening. The steak was by all accounts good, but my $35 truffles were inexplicably cooked and tasteless. Others with me liked it, but I prefer Moo Moos, but this is better value and may well sort out.
Great Food, Excellent Service. I dined at Cut on Saturday for a Birthday and every part of my experience at this restaurant was exquisite. The tapas, steaks and wine were all amazing! The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, particularly Dave! The restaurant has a beautiful ambience. I usually find with a larger group something is always lacking, but not at Cut. I will definitely be dining here again soon!
We dined at Cut on Saturday night & had an amazing experience! The food was incredible & as there were a few of us we had the opportunity to try many of the sides & tapas! The staff were extremely helpful & happy & I will definitely be returning & recommending Cut to my friends!
Cut Steakhouse - Amazing..... First time at Cut on Saturday night (29/6) and what an amazing experience! The food was spot on from the entre through to desert however it was the steak that was certainly the best in Brisbane by a long shot. Lets not forget the great service we also received from all the staff but a shout out to the guy that looked after us so well (Dave). Lastly great fit out......
Fantastic. Dined at Cut on Friday night and all i can say is FANTASTIC. Great menu and hands down one of the best steaks i have ever had. The staff are very friendly and give you the feeling that they actually like doing what they do and made us feel very welcome. Great atmosphere. Will definitely be going back and recommending this restaurant to my friends
Delicious! Few teething problems with service but will definitely be back!
Do yourself a favour!. This restaurant is THE BEST. The steak was perfect, the tapas have amazing fresh flavours and the dessert is to die for. You must do yourself a favour and go try this place, you will not be disappointed. The BBQ ribs are my new favourite so don't forget to order these.
Could this be Brisbane's best steakhouse?. Being the opening night, we arrived at Cut Steakhouse tonight anticipating some teething problems. There was a long wait for someone to take our drinks order; the restaurant didn't have some items on their menu (for example, the James Squire beer which was on tap); no pen was provided with the bill to sign for the credit card. Small things which I'm sure will be ironed out in the next few weeks. (To be fair, there was also a Reds game on to add to their stress!)
Teething problems aside, the steaks were simply fantastic. Up until now, my favourite steak was pretty much anything David Blackmore wagyu (from Moo Moo's Brisbane and Rockpool Bar & Grill Sydney), with Master Kobe from Moo Moo's Broadbeach a close second (no longer available there as far as I'm aware).
The wagyu rib fillet or sirloin at Cut Steakhouse is now my favourite, taking into account the very reasonable price. The wagyu is sourced from Stanbroke, and it is exclusive in Queensland to Cut. Most importantly, the steaks are full-blood wagyu and not the inferior F1 wagyu you get at most steak restaurants. At first, my fellow diners were skeptical given the wagyu only had a marble scoring of at least 5+. However, our steaks were testament to the fact that you don't need a 9+ marbling score for an amazing steak.
The sirloin and rib eye were $59.90 (300g), which is exceptional value for the high quality steaks they were. They were so good that you didn't need any sauce or extra seasoning - and that in my opinion, is the benchmark for a great steak (just as well though, as I didn't think the wild mushroom sauce was any good). They were so tender that you could cut them easily with a normal table knife (which I had to do, given I embarrassingly dropped my steak knife). It is melt-in-your-mouth, flavoursome goodness.
Cut also offers a huge 1.2kg Tomahawk Angus steak, which is on the bone and designed to be shared (unless you're really hungry!). We will be returning to try this cut next time.
For sides, we had beer battered onion rings (average) and green vegetables (not much you can do with steamed vegies, but they provided a good balance to the richness of the steaks). Would probably try the potato puree and baked pumpkin next time.
For dessert, our table had the mud cake (incredibly dense and moist, for those chocolate lovers out there), apple and raisin crumble (also divine) and creme catalan (basically a creme brulee but not a great one).
The restaurant interior is simple and stylish with a warm ambience. All in all, if you are a steak lover, do yourself a favour and try the wagyu at Cut! In my opinion, Cut will easily be the best steak restaurant in Brisbane, surpassing the likes of Cha Cha Char, Moo Moo's and Vintaged.
PS. Cut is located opposite Gambaro's on Caxton St (owned by Gambaro Hospital Group as well) and so you can park in Gambaro's car park.
First up was the steak tartare with cornichons, chilli, eschallot and crostini. The wonderfully symmetrical raw beef came presented with a quaint little quails egg right in the middle and the the accompaniments along the side, waiting to be mixed in for taste. It's unusual to see a steak tartare with chilli, so we were a little circumspect when mixing the lot together, just starting with a small amount. The thin pieces of crostini were perfect for spreading the tartare mix on to provide a little texture to go along with the beautifully flavoured raw meat.
I was really happy with the dinner. The well-marinated beef short ribs were juicy and extremely tasty. The wagyu rump was delicious and it was certainly good enough to satisfy my hunger for some decent meat. It would've been perfect if the wild mushroom sauce was creamier.
