Being one of four children, it is rare that I have the opportunity to dine with my parents alone. An amazing dinner at Bella Tiarnie was that opportunity!. Location, ambiance & service. I picked Bella Tiarnie based on the delicious menu (with no shortage of Italian favourites!), and the fact that it is BYO.
This little Italian find does a hearty breakfast, great coffee and we will be back. The girls serving were just lovely too. Congrats on such an authentic, comfortable yet classy restaurant.
Yep that's a big score but it was difficult to fault. Maybe to much cream in the dishes but the end result was really good Italian food. Byo and $2 a person was great. It's only tiny so maKe sure you book
Loved it! Food, location and service was all excellent!!!! My group each had a different main and we all agreed that it was delicious. We shared 2 desserts that were great too. We were well looked after by Leonardo and his lovely staff. Will definitely go back.
Really really good pizza. We had a chicken pizza that was baked to perfection. The crust was thin and the ingredients on the pizza were fresh and just the right amount. We also had a tiramisu cake and a Nutella cake. The tiramisu was amazing. The Nutella cake however was a little bit too sweet and could have done with less Nutella and cream. Overall a good, cozy restaurant with friendly staff and great food. Definitely recommend it for everyone
5pm and only one table had two people sitting at it. The rest were empty and apparently there were no tables. We went 500mtrs down the road to our favourite Big Fortune Chinese and even after leaving there 45 minutes later, there was still 8 empty tables.. Rude and would never bother again. Go to Big Fortune instead!
One of those restaurants that care about their customers and go the mile. Great sttention to detail and excellent food with outstanding flavour. Will be back I would highly recommend this restaurant
Really good Italian food.
It takes something 'special' now for Italian food to be noticed. The nation's veracity for all things cooking related ie: t.v, books....this app have taught most of us to cook basic Italian at home, & usually at a semi-edible/ decent level.
Bella Tiarnie certainly comes across as a high quality authentic experience, from the food, to the warm service.
The owner plays the main role in seemingly everything, I think it's great, he's soo hands on. It's like being welcomed into someone's house during our dine in experiences.
I've been on a couple of occasions now & takeaway x 2. I'm obviously already a fan considering I'm a repeat customer.
My favourite is the pasta Isabella & definately a necessary addition everytime I'm involved in the ordering process.
The Pizzas are all brilliant with a thin crisp base & high quality ingredients. Less is more sometimes when it comes to pizza toppings.
Everything seems to be be made with *wheels in the cliche wagon* 'love'...... I think care & experience probably better describe it.
I even LOVE the garlic bread which is rarely something I enjoy at all.
If someone asked me for a lo-fi Italian restaurant recommendation in New Farm, this would be it.
Excellent food. Great service. Easy to recommend to anyone! We had the margarita pizza as a starter. Great move- it was amazing. I had the pasta arrabiatta on fettuccine - spicy and delicious. Come to this restaurant if you want to enjoy your evening.
Delicious!!!. The best restaurant, excellent service and the food.. completely awesome and tasty!!!
Wonderful little restaurant. Optimus dishes, well-presented! Nice service, lovely pizzas!!!
Leonardo adds the 'Love Table' best seat in the house @ Bella Tiarnie. After visiting Leonardo in his first week open we enjoyed his hospitable chit chat during quiet times in the kitchen, next visit a few months later Leonardo was fully booked! Good to see a lovely owner/operated/head chef venue being fully appreciated. Recent addition is the 'love table' which Leonardo proudly displays at the front window - nab the 'love table' if you can. We've not made it past the pasta dishes to the pizza in all of our visits but there is always room for that next visit. I would recommend for all parties, family, groups or dates
Great feed, great service. Will be back!!!

Superb food, great service and a fabulous chef!! Well prepared, tasty delicious sauces. Well worth your time for a friendly experience.
Very tasty food and a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. The staff are lovely and the service is great. The pizza is yum!!
Absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious, the restaurant cosy, the service friendly and Leonardo was delightful. I wish him and his family all the success. We will definitely be back
Great food!. We had never heard of Bella Tiarnie before but had read some great reviews and they did takeaway! It was a lovely surprise! Bruschetta was incredible as was the carbonara and the Isabella pasta dishes. Generous amount of sauce which is usually lacking in other Italian takeaways and the large size was massive. Can't wait to go back!
Fall in love with Bella Tiarnie. Would I return?: Absolutely!
Pros: Outstanding service and gorgeous food
Cons: None
We visited Bella Tiarnie on a Saturday night with a group of 12.
This place has heart and soul, that is because of it's passionate and wonderful owner and chef, Leonardo. It's clear that Leonardo makes a point of regularly coming out of the kitchen to welcome, jest and ensure each of his guests are taken care of - he is such a genuine and delightful man.
We started with garlic bread and bruschetta to share. The bruschetta was gorgeous with pesto, parmesan, fresh tomato and balsamic drizzled over it. I don't even like fresh tomato.
Down the table we ordered a variety of the pasta and pizza. Mains arrived promptly, but not without some encouragement from Leonardo that got the table whistling and cheering on the young kitchen hand. Huge bowls of spaghetti, fettuccine and penne with creamy, tomato and spicy sauces were devoured (I could only manage about half of my gnochhi - but the boyfriend took one for the team and finished the rest).
In addition to all this, the restaurant is BYO... so grab a good bottle of red and go see Leo. I recommend for groups of friends, families and casual dates.
Had dinner here on Friday night and the food was delicious. Great service and byo too, will be back for sure
Great food, great service, great experience. I came here for my 18th birthday a couple of weeks ago and we had an excellent time. The food was excellent, I could seriously not fault it. The owner Leonardo was very kind to us, engaging us in conversation and comping my desert for my birthday.
Certainly will return!
My husband and I found this place by accident, and we're so glad we did! We enjoyed an amazing meal and were well looked after by the friendly and helpful staff. Hubby ordered the fettuccine marinara and I had the Chef's Special veal tortellini. Both meals were delicious with perfectly aldente pasta - we scraped our bowls clean! But what really topped of the night for us was meeting Leonardo. He came out of the kitchen and visited each table to make sure we were "well looked after". We felt right at home in this friendly little Italian restaurant - a new favourite for future date nights I think!
Fantastic, Authentic Italian - Excellent Customer Service!!. We just had dinner here and I don't usually write food reviews, but this place was great! Despite being first timers, we were treated like regulars upon arrival. The wait staff went above and beyond to make sure we had an incredible dinner. The chef/owner came out during our meals just to ask if we were enjoying it! So many places these days don't care about customer service, and I think this is one of the most memorable parts of a dining experience. The food was sensational and reminded us of our time in Rome. 10/10 Bella Tiarnie!! We will most certainly be coming back very often!
Amazingly authentic Italian food. Best I've had for a long time. Owner & staff are great. Really great atmosphere and very child friendly.
Superb night out!. From the moment we approached Bella Tiarnie's owner, Leonardo, to book for my husband's birthday dinner, we knew we were in for a treat. From the balloon arrangements to Leonardo's lovingly home made chocolate birthday cake, the personal touches were there. It was the perfect location for our celebration. Leonardo advised that we leave the menu in his hands and he would do a traditional Italian banquet - it made it so simple, and we got to try a great variety of dishes as a result.
We started with tasty garlic bread & moved to a selection of pizzas that were all so flavoursome; it was hard to save ourselves but we knew there was more to come. The main meal did not disappoint with a great selection of pasta dishes along with beautiful moist and tender veal and chicken dishes, all accompanied with fresh salad and vegetables. Leonardo even made an eggplant and meat dish especially for the evening. The service was friendly & efficient, and the courses well-timed.
Whether a celebration dinner or a casual night out for two, I would recommend Bella Tiarnie. Leonardo and his mum working in the kitchen give this restaurant a truly authentic and personal touch. We are already planning our next visit.
What an amazing little resturant ... Great food, great service, reasonable prices! Easy off street parking at rear of building. Definitely on my "go back to" list.
Authentic Italian food!!. We have just been to Bella Tiarnie for the 4th time, the food is so good. Our second visit we went with a group and Leo cooked a selection of the menu, everything was very nice. Tonight I had the Isabella, a signature dish, excellent flavors, very delicate. My sister, a visitor from Christchurch had a veal dish, it was delicious. My partner always has a pizza, cant go past them he says. For dessert we had the Tiramisu, it is the best and it is our favorite dessert when eating out, so we've tried a few. The owner Leo is very affable and staff friendly and efficient, very well priced and great ambiance. We will be back soon. Ailsa, Richard and Marjie.
The finest Italian dishes. I came here last Saturday with my boyfriend who also live in New Farm. We passed the restaurant, he was surprisingly saw one of our classmate working there and she asked us to come and try as the food is good.
We didn't regret (though at first, we was hesitant). He had Cabonara which he said the best one he has ever tried and he has tried these a lot before, to me, it was good too even the first few bites he gave me were a bit strange to me since I haven't eaten lots of creamy stuff before but he forced me to give it a try and I started to like it more than un-like it. I had Tiramisu, it was so good to be honest, the mascaporne cheese with kalua was great, even though the sponge base was quite too soft to me (maybe it was dipped in chocolate-coffee liquid mixture for a bit long time, however I prefer lady finger biscuit more than sponge cake but this is how they do it as real Italian so I do not have any comments for the expert, chef) but still like it,
A chef came to us and asked for our opinion, he was nice and talked about other customers nearby us and their thoughts were good too. As my observation, the chef is Italian whose cooking skill is pretty nice, nice talk and just look at how he dressed then I would know definitely he's Italian chef.
I was kind of amazed of the price (we are still students), $18 for Cabonara and about $ 9.50 for Tiramisu plus 2 free cool glass water bottles. Definitely worth it, Cabonara was quite big for one, my boyfriend could eat it all by himself (he was hungry after went back from bio trip) but shared it with me.
Overall, everything was so nice, food, decoration and music are all so Italiano. Will be back here soon
The best carbonara. My wife and I discovered this little gem in New Farm. We are the pasta lover and we can guarantee the carbonara here is the best in Brisbane! well done chef :)
Eat in or take away. We went in to order take away but we were convinced that we should sit down and eat in, by the friendly chef. I'm very happy we did. We really enjoyed the pizza, the service and the atmosphere. It felt like we were in Italy.
Amazing Italian Food! I ha.... Amazing Italian Food!
I have eaten at Bella Tiarnie numerous times now and the food is always amazing! I would recommend any of the signature dishes but in particular the etna di mare. The marinara pasta is always a winner. You also can't beat the pizza. Leonardo, the chef is warm and friendly! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Fantastic Italian restaurant. I have been there many times. The food is delicious yummy and tasty, perfect italian style. I love every signature dish and the pizza is amazing. The chef-owner is nice, friendly and his dishes are owesome. The staff is really good. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody
Italian pizza lover. Loved the atmosphere and food. Was just like being back in Italy. Ciao
This restaurant is beautiful, had a great atmosphere, the staff were very friendly I had the seafood pizza the best I have ever had, I would recommend this to anybody.
Delicious Italian Meal. Three of us discovered the very recently arrived Bella Tiarnie at 620 Brunswick Street last night. The seafood, veal and pizzas were excellent and very moderately priced. BYO which is great and the staff were friendly and attentive.
We will be back to either eat in or take away. Thankyou
