Some of the best salmon aburi and rice bowl Iv had in a while. Got it through Deliveroo and it was so inexpensive, made quickly, still hot, packaged very well by the restaurant (miso soup didn't even spill on the ride over!) and got a free bubble tea deal with my rice bowl as well. Blown away! I'll be a regular customer now �
Great vegetarian sushi! Been going for over 6 months now and sushi is always great and fresh. A big thanks to the staff who served me when I turned up to the shop an hour before opening and made me some sushi �

Seriously amazing sushi! My husband and I came in for a snack, got half way down the road when we finished our sushi roll and had to turn back for lunch it was so good! It was fresh, really tasty AND they have lots of vegan options. I just wish you had a shop North Brisbane : )
Hands down best sushi I've ever had! Being vegetarian you don't get a lot of options when you go to sushi restaurants but I love that the chefs at Sushi Kenzen will custom make you anything you want! I can't wait to come back again 🤤

Further to my experience with getting Sushi Kenzen via Foodora, I received a friendly invite from the owner of Sushi Kenzen to try out their customisable rice bowls. Being situated in Fortitude Valley, it made for a long brisk walk from the city, perfect for a Friday afternoon. Wanting to also bring a foodie friend with me to check out the restaurant, I asked Brisvegustation to come with me for to forage for lunch that afternoon.
Sushi Kenzen is mad and they have bangin sushi and the lady always yells nice things at me when I buy food. Would recommend it’s convenient and their bubble tea is real good.

They said “sushi is not a food, it’s an experience”. I wholeheartedly agree with them as I took my first bite of the kenzen roll and the soft shell crab roll. The rolls are very fresh and delicious! It’s not like any sushi roll joints in town. It’s a bit on the pricier side but totally worth it. I will come back for more!

Went there for lunch last Saturday afternoon for lunch with my friend and I can honestly say, it is THE FRESHEST sushi I've ever had in my life! I had the chicken teriaki burrito and the salmon and avocado sushi roll, the avocado was bright green, the ingredients were cut and presented well and the customer service was amazing! We are going back there tomorrow for lunch! So hard to find quality fast food around the fortitude valley area and I'm so glad we found this sushi restaurant!

Out of all the Japanese restaurants I've been to, Sushi Kenzen is the best yet. The sushi are filled with delicious and mouth-watering flavours and you can even customize your ideal rice bowl. There are a variety of options to choose from. I ordered the chicki avo roll and it tasted wonderfully scrumptious. I will definitely bring my friends along to this little gem.

I have eaten here about 4 times and have been impressed.
I've had various rolls, maki and the sushi bowl, there is always plenty of filling inside and the ingredients have been fresh and delicious. The price point is also quite reasonable.
Only issue I've had was that the seaweed on one of my rolls was a bit tough but I think it was because it was just made.
The staff have also always been welcoming and polite! A weekly lunch option for me now. :)

Great sushi! Easy, quick and fresh! I have eaten here a few times now and it is very consistent! So yummy. If you are in the area and need to get your sushi on, Sushi Kenzen is the place to eat!
Honestly some of the best sushi I have eaten in Brisbane! Amazingly fresh, the pre-rolled rolls are a great size and great value with lots of filling. The tuna is delicious and the trays of sushi for $8.80 are awesome. So much flavour you don't need to hide behind wasabi, soy and mayo. And there's always sushi available if you're like me and eat a late lunch (after 2pm).
Decided to try out this new place close to work. I ordered the bowl set @ $14.80 which comes with a rice bowl, side and drink. A pretty good price for what you get.
I chose the tempura prawn rice bowl with wasabi Mayo, teriyaki sauce and all the toppings, side of karaage chicken and a bubble milk tea. The karaage was freshly cooked and delicious, the rice bowl was great, being able to customise what goes in it. The milk tea was a little bland but overrall pretty happy with it.

Forget the gimmicks of small portion sizes and a train!This sushi is made your way, fresh to order.I was always upset but how much I spent on sushi to find myself still wanting more food afterwards; no longer do I have this problem, the ability to choose my fillings, toppings and sauces lets me have sushi MY WAY :)And it's pretty darn affordable at under $9 for a yuuuuuuge roll.

Sushi Kenzen is my go to choice for a late night snack in the Valley. I definitely recommend going there any time of the day as they make excellent sushi burritos.
I have eaten here twice since they opened and was quite happy with what I was served. In both occasions the sushi tasted fresh and the option to having your own sushi made in front of you gives it an enjoyable twist.
On my first visit I had the chicken sushi burrito which had a good size but was a bit pricey for almost 6 dollars in my opinion but was probably worth a 3.5 or 4.
On my second visit my partner who is vegan asked if she could have a vegan sushi made and the staff promptly helped her offering all the vegetables available for the sushi and telling which sauces she could use. Again, it tasted really fresh and was probably the best vegan sushi we have tried. 4.5

Amazing restaurant and filled with a variety of delicious sushi, it is truly a must-visit sushi restautrant in Fortitude Valley! I had never tasted such scrumptious and mouth-watering sushi ever before until I arrived at Sushi Kenzen. This restaurant is the place to be!
The original sushi roll goes well with my blueberry jelly ice blended. So much needed in the valley, now I can have my bubble tea while sitting in the office.
The Valley was in desperate need of a quality sushi venue like this, specially down that end of Wickham St. Very clever concept and nice set up. The staff are great, super friendly and passionate. I got to sample various dishes but my favourite was the 8 inch long sushi roll (more like a sushi burrito!) which came with high grade salmon, perfectly cooked prawn tempura, avocado, seaweed and their special kenzen signature sauce. That sauce was a hit ! What makes this place so unique is you get to build your own sushi roll or rice bowl. Will be coming soon to try the rice bowl.

I was fortunate enough to go here today and have the best sushi I've had in Australia - in fact probably the best I've had since i was in Japan! The only thing better than the food was the service, it was an absolute treat of an experience. Thank you, can't wait to return.
I have ordered here previously on Deliveroo and thought the food was delicious. I stopped by for the first time on my way home this afternoon, and ordered in person. The lovely man who served me was very kind and had wonderful customer service. As always, my meal was delicious :) It is wonderful to have access to vegetarian donburi so close to home
I grabbed some rolls for my kids here yesterday. They both said it was the best sushi they’d ever had. They are highly critical teenagers, so an unprovoked positive comment from them is amazing. They also eat a fair bit of sushi, so the standard was already high.
I found the service completely adequate, but I wasn’t looking for a deep emotional connection, just some good sushi.
I will definitely be returning for more.
I placed an order online for a pickup one week in advance and had my partner collect it for me. Very happy with the service. Communication was good and the owner friendly and helpful.
Only thing I would ask to change is the online order system. To have a comments box for any changes or requests on the be order. Aside from that very happy. Sushi was delicious and filling!

My wife and I love this sushi, it's the best we've tried. Delicious, filling and not expensive at all. The owner is extremely nice and kind and service is super quick.

Great vibe to the restaurant itself. The fish is always freshly cut, so no bitter frozen after taste or smell which is always a turn off when eating sushi. Sashimi was great. It’s nothing amazingly luxurious like a high end restaurant but the food is well worth it. Recommend a stop.
