Had a quick lunch here on last Monday. We have not been back over five years due to the fact that our last visit was not quite impressive.
Walked in and occupied the first table of the day at 11:30am.
Perused the menu and found that the price was overall slightly dearer than its competitors around Sunnybank area.
Ordered a Seasoned Chicken & Rice meal and. Stewed Pork Knuckle meal. There were two free milk tea drinks offered, which made the CP higher.
Taste of both protein are good and texture are juicy. Portions are reasonable. These are certainly its competitive factors.đź‘Ť

Fresh and authentic, reasonably priced.
Located in the corner of the shopping area, I accidentally found this restaurant as I was strolling through. Well-lighted with simple decoration, the place mostly operated by self-serve system.
Ordered the Taiwan Beef Noodle Soup. The soup tasted too herbals; like an oriental medicine. Moreover, the hotness of the spice burnt my tongue and throat. However, the beef was tender and the noodle texture was chewy. Also ordered the Stir Fried Noodle and Stir Fried Rice. Both tasted not too salty and balanced, along with the big portion size for the price.
Would love to come back and try out other menus!
Great place for a quick eat of a simple plate of meat, rice and vegetables. Loved the variety of side vegetables served and loved the help yourself pot of soup. The venue is a little run down, but it’s the cheap, convenient meals which you come here for anyway! We will be back.
5 stars for tasty authentic Taiwanese food that is unpretentious, affordable, quick and so satisfying. Even the kids ate their full without any fuss. Appreciated the free soup appetizer that helped ease the wait on hungry stomachs. The pan fried dumplings and deep fried tofu were highlights.
First time trying taiwanese noodle style so I have no idea how it should taste. For me the soup taste was similar to herbal soup, it was good but a bit bland for me so I added a pinch of salt and problem solved! It was tasty! It came in a big portion so if you are small eater, please bring along your friend. They gave alot of beef and it was so tender. For the noodle, it was a type of thick noodle and it was cooked nicely.
The staff was very friendly and nice. They smiled a lot. The food came fast and the place was also clean. What a nice experience.. can’t wait to try another dish.
More than 5 tables of customers even at 1:45pm on a Thursday after the Xmas and New Years rush.
Plenty of homely Taiwanese dishes here - family-friendly and laidback environment.
Next door to popular bubble tea bar Excellent Cup, so your drink is sorted.
Note: Cash-only premise.
Yummy yummy yummy. Super good dumplings. I swear I ate 15. Really authentic and such a delicious treat. Rice and meat dishes were pretty good too. I have been wanting to come back since the first time I ate at Yang's. Delicious.
Nice and simple decor, perfect for “lazy to cook” kind of days.
They closed on tuesdays, but plenty of other next doors restaurants to choose from.
Most of the menu is an option between rice or noodle soup, which is served with 3 different stirfried vegies dishes on the side, and which meat options you are going for (fried chicken, pork chop, stewed beef, stewed pork, etc). They also provide “help yourself” plain broth soup station (great for those cold days).
Been coming for years. Comfort food cooked to the same high standard every time. From yang Ma Ma to the girls at the front cashier, service with a smile is always guaranteed. Ordered beef noodle soup, squid noodle soup and fish rice set tonight and again enjoyed the food thoroughly.
It's just awesome. Great value of money and the food was beyond words to describe! Will come back if I have a chance. Service, quality and the quantitiy of food are simply on point.
Taiwanese beef noodles is relatively new to me. But on exposure to it in HK recently I decided to ask around friends if anything was available locally. Although not purely focused on this dish, Yangs seems to offer Taiwanese home-cooked cuisine which was hearty and homely. Ordered takeaway here as lunch before a members meeting. Stewed pork came with a standard bento box containing rice with mince pork garnish and 3 veggie sides (of which 1 veggie varies depending on what's available) and taiwan beef noodle soup came as is. Both were homely delicious meals. The soup has abit of zing but otherwise passable. Prices were good value based on portion sizes.
One of our favorite bento places. The portion is fulfilling and I can't finish one most of the time. Usually very busy so it's recommended to make a phone call and place an order beforehand for takeaway.
ordered their beef noodle soup and was not disappointed - fully flavoured soup with chewy noodles and huge pieces of beef brisket. service from staff was friendly. will definitely return
Ordered:
1. Beef noodle soup- I order this every time I'm here, it's one of their best dish and I have this when I crave for beef noodle soup, it's not the best I've had but it is the best in Brisbane
2. Cold tofu with pork gloss- love this refreshing dish
Will I go back: yes as I always do, I don't tend to like their rice dishes, for me it's too oily and too much meat in it, but my friends do. The good thing is that they change their side vegetable dish all the time and they taste so good! I wish they have this store opened in Sydney.
Probably the best kou rou fan I've eaten in Brisbane that is closest to authentic. The pig trotters is also good. Only the noodles were a regretful choice as it had a really strong nasty aftertaste. Each set comes with a big plate of assorted vegetables. Free soup available too. Staff are always friendly and nice.
Yang's is very canteen-like in that you have to go up to order your meals and have to collect your own cutlery and bowls. However, they do bring your meals out to you. If you come in expecting full table service then you're in for disappointment. If you come in with an open mind that this is a small business which is run very efficiently with meals coming out quickly then you will leave feeling very satisfied. Staff are very friendly and greet you as soon as you come in and thank you as you're leaving. The food is quite good and packed with flavour. The beef noodle soup with dumplings was a highlight for me while the stir fried noodles with lamb tasted okay, some bits of lamb were a little sinewy. The herbal pork ribs with rice was okay in small portions but I don't think I could finish off a whole dish as the herbal medicine taste was a little too much for me. There is also free chicken broth that you can help yourself to. Overall, it was a good, quick dinner and reasonably priced.
Yangs is a real gem. It's simple, very cheap and fast service. The decor is nothing fancy, the location is nothing swish but it's all about the food.
The Taiwanese beef soup was really really delicious, the beef tender and flavours well done. The fried chicken set was tasty and the fried chicken itself is absolutely delicious, very reminiscent of the Taipei.
The place gets really really busy so be prepared to line up!
This place never disappoints. It reminds me of the awesome food I hsd while visiting Taiwan. I always get their beef noodle soup and it tastes amazing each and every time. Soup is super hot (temperature), and the wait is never too long for food. Highly recommended if you're hungry, don't want to wait too long for food or just want nice food :) cash only.
Satisfies a craving for my taiwanese cuisine! Today had the Salt & Pepper Pork Chops with rice. The best of it's kind I have had for a long time!
Large portion of meat, with 3 different veggie dishes on the side. Free soup provided that you dine in. Service is nothing amazing, but gets the food to your table - and that's the best bit.
For those of my readers who have heard of my friend, the Burger Connoisseur, he is not merely a burger fan, but also a devout lover of Taiwanese Food. With this in mind, last time we had dinner, we went to Yang's Cuisine on Pinelands for authentic Taiwanese food. We grabbed a table, and some menus. Just like Shin Yuan, we had to order and pay at the counter before food would come. Interestingly we did not get a number, and they were able to bring out our food without any hassle.
The best Taiwanese food. This places continues to impress. The food is flavourful and the servings are satisfying. Great service too.
Good food; good value. Previous reviews are hopelessly out of date & fail to reveal the present good food & good value provided by this restaurant.
Six of us went to this restaurant recently. Amongst the dishes we ate were - braised lamb, stewed pork knuckle, grilled chicken fillet, pan fried dumplings, deep fried bean curd, pork mince with rice, deep fried spicy Thai chicken, and stir fried vegetables. Each of the dishes was very tasty. Service was speedy.
This is a very basic restaurant - no frills - it has an order & pay before you eat system, Formica table tops - nothing fancy in the way of decoration. The food, however, was very good. Wine glasses were available readily as this is a BYOB. All in all a very positive dining experience. The place was buzzing with happy diners.
Simple good food. Price-7, Service-6, Food-8, Atmosphere-6, Overall-7
Good simple food
Amazing, cheap, good teas and fast service! Highly recommend the yogurt tea and beef brisket noodle soup!
Longing for a hearty traditional Chinese meal but it’s so windy tonight, suddenly I remembered there’s a new eatery just opened around the corner at Centro Pinelands. This Taiwanese eatery used to be at Little Taipei Foodcourt but recently it has relocated at Sunnybank Hills, what a fantastic news to the neighbourhood!
