Review Wicked Corner Cafe - Brisbane

Lovely corner cafe. The food is delicious, excellent value for money, and the place is clean & comfortable. Above all, the staff are the real star of the show. Cheerful, accommodating, and absolutely lovely people. Very patient, cheerful and full of energy, with excellent attention to detail. One visit and I'm a regular. One of many, I've noticed. Never been so impressed by a cafe before. I definitely wish I could give it a 10/5.

What a delightful little Cafe. My daughter , 2 granddaughters and myself came across it accidentally whilst looking for somewhere to have breakfast on a very short and special gettogether this morning. The food was delicious and the service was faultless, the proprietor made us feel very special. Also very very reasonably priced, especially being in the centre of Brisbane. So conveniently situated for where we needed to be. I will definitely visit again at any opportunity we have to be in the city. Thank you.

The service is extra extra friendly! The owner is so enthusiastic and passionate that I am like hit by an energy bomb, which is great! A great way to start the day! Coffee is average, but not bad! Milk could be frothed better. Some latte art would be a nice. It is very comfortable sitting there and it’s not too crowded as it’s tucked uphill of Edward street away from the busy shops.

This little cafe in the CBD is nicely situated, with views of some beautiful historic buildings, and also with lots of shade and greenery around. The service is very friendly and the food and coffee are well priced. The decor and ambience is simple and functional, so not one for artistically minded, or for making big impressions, but perfect for a catch up with friends or some time out to yourself

It may not have the prettiest presentation, or the fanciest layouts. It does have the BEST customer service, prices are very reasonable but most importantly the food and coffee taste amazing. Been about 5-6 times now and will continue to keep coming back. Love their work!

Much more than we would eat for breakfast most other days and the service brilliant with very reasonable prices.

Visited this cafe early in the morning, which is located at a prime position at the corner of Wickham Tce. & Edward St. Walked in and was greeted by the friendly owner. Ordered a flat white and a Triangle. Coffee was made of Segefredo brew, which is one of my favorites. Although there was no nice latte art, the coffee was practically perfect in terms of strength and depth of flavour. Triangle was heated up perfectly with steaming hot diced chicken mixed with plenty of mushrooms and onions. Taste was spot on to go with my coffee. Another nice day! Thank you!

Lovely coffee spot. Breakfast is cheap and plentiful. The owner is such a lovely man he always welcomes you with a smile. I have coffee here everyday and it is the most consistent coffee I have ever had. Never had a bad coffee!

I love this place! It is s hidden gem
I come here all time for lunch and get the satay or the Thai green curry and they are both probably some of the best I had had
Three steps down and some delightful crossaints. Why not everyday!
On wick(am) and ed(ward), the name is intriguing too!
The food was decent too.

Although it's not a 'trendy' or gourmet cafe, this place is a great stop for a quick breakfast or lunch if you're in the area. The outdoor seating area gives you a great view and some nice fresh air right in the heart of the city without being too loud. The staff here are nice, the food is cheap and everything is made fresh to order and comes out quick. The breakfasts here are cooked really well, and you can get them all day which is a bonus if you're craving breakfast for lunch, or if you find yourself crawling out of bed around midday with a hangover that only bacon can cure. I've also had a couple of the Thai meals which I enjoyed. The satay chicken was really good and I thought the pad Thai was good but it was far too saucy for my liking, it made the dish a bit of a gluggy mess but I will continue to visit this place regularly, it's great. I would highly recommend the vegetarian breakfast and the fresh fruit frappe.

Ate a late breakfast with the wife here. Wonderful customer service. The gentleman was very happy and joyous.
Coffee was good and a nice outdoor seating where they don't let people smoke. BIG PLUS!
Wish I could give it a 5 star but my poached eggs weren't all the way cooked and they were a little cold. Everything else was great.

WickEd Cafe - Brisbane CBD. This might be among the least ostentatious of the cafes from around the surrounds, WickEd is sort of like that little cafe that can. My brother in law was up from down south again, and asked me if I could think of a place to go for breakfast before work. This ended up being the chosen spot, and it was probably the perfect choice for the situation. At anytime that this is open, you can easily waltz on in.

WickEd's cafe space is elevated from the road. This helps the tiny area not feel so cramped; choosing the outside tables, the majority of them take place under one giant umbrella. A few tables are inside, and the look of it is that it is cosy. Each table has a tiny jar housing sugar packets complete with a bin to put them in once they are empty. To encourage pedestrians passing by, from the balcony they hang banners touting "all day breakfasts" among other quality boasts. When is is sunny outside, this is perfectly located.

At breakfast, the menu is really simple. Later on in the day, you can expect some of the basic cafe fare, including various sandwiches and even a modest Thai menu. Additionally, goodies are displaying on the counter and in the cabinet for further enticement. Adding on to that, there are some great smiles from the lovely, efficient staff at this cafe. They transform this place into something truly homely.

For breakfast, I was feeling really hungry so simply went for the "Big Breakfast". On the plate was crispy bacon, two eggs done any way (I went for the usual poached, requesting the yolks to be runny), hash browns, sausage, half a tomato, mushrooms and two pieces of toasted Turkish bread. As a fixed price, this comes with the choice of coffee included in the deal. This idea is fantastic, and more places should certainly adopt it. At the time, I was off coffee (it was Lent) so instead I went for a pineapple frappe.

Well shoot me if this was not one of the most satisfying breakfasts out in memory in terms of simply hitting the spot. It was wholesome, simple and straightforward. The biggest compliment is how well they complied to the request with the runny yolk; on prick with the fork had it oozing all over the toast. That was fantastic. In addition to that, the eggs were really plump, soft and delicious; these must have been sourced really well. The taste of it was really good. For the rest of the breakfast, it was all good as well. The amount of bacon they gave was moderately generous, and a decent crispiness with the right amount of fat on it. Not being much of a tomato fan, this is saying quite a bit; the tomato was well cooked, plump, sweet and at just the right texture. The mushrooms were also delicious, plus the sausage and the hash brown. Cooked in butter, the mushrooms were soft and had heaps of flavour, the sausage was an odd choice having a diagonal cut. However, this was also good with a greasy bite to it. The hash brown was very crunchy, and the potato on the inside was soft and fluffy. Finishing it off, the toast was crusty, soft and perfectly toasted. With the pineapple frappe, it was made from simply blending pineapple and ice together. This was the right beverage for such a hot day, cold and refreshing which was what I needed at the moment.

There are a number of reasons why WickEd works so well. First is its location, right outside a major train and bus station in a busy part of town - just on the boundary between the central business district and Spring Hill, what matters the most is that the food is a holy trinity of quick, cheap and tasty, then the service is really good. It won't be anything that is going to top the lists, or even have inclusion, of the must try places to get breakfast. However, I will give them that. They are good, wholesome and honest in what they do.

Great for Breakfast. We had a Saturday breakfast here - the vegetarian breakfast, coffee, OJ. Very good meal. Good prices. Nice breeze in the outdoor area, Recommend it if you are staying in the area - ie don't eat at your hotel - go to WickEd Café!

Best breakfast I've had in Brisbane in 6+yrs of searching. Lovely staff lovely pancakes, perfect big breakfast and the best tropical frappe ive ever had. Genuinely can't fault this place.

Really apalled by people who make an effort to review and say something like average! Classic Narcissists! Lovely little corner cafe. Always open early for tasty bfast & coffee. Always warm and friendly service, helpful, and importantly, good quality food.

Good Value. We had Breakfast here on a Saturday morning. They have a nice little outdoor area and we were greeted with a friendly smile from the staff. Whilst their food is simple, it was tasty, good value and delivered by happy staff. Their coffee was great value and of high quality. When we are in Brisbane next and up that end of CBD, we will be returning for more.

Great coffee!! Good staff and recognition of regulars. Breakfast is average and priced accordingly. Recomend for a quick coffee but there is better close by for breakfast. :/

Great breakfast every time. Petite vegetarian and piccolo coffee never misses!
The food is fresh and tasty. The coffee is always good. Home made italian biscotti! The owner and staff are about the nicest people on the planet. If you bring your dog, they'll give it a bowl of water.
There are comfy outdoor seats to do the crossword.
Very good value and a surprising, relaxing haven near the medical centres.

Really Friendly Service. Handy little cafe at the base of Observatory Towers in competition with other more pedestrian efforts on Wickham Tce. The food is serviceable cafe fare, with some tasty foccacias at lunch and healthy, well portioned salads. The Big Breakfast is a little underwhelming though. Coffee is strong and well made.

The most endearing quality at WickEd is the service. Friendly and welcoming waitstaff and hellos from the kitchen on arrival. I'm not a frequent customer, but they remember my coffee order faithfully and appear to do so with other customers as well. Even offer to hold a coffee reward card behind the counter for your next visit - nice touch.

The chorizo surprised me a little, it was way better than I was expecting for the price and was well cooked with a decent caramelisation that really enhanced their flavour. There was plenty of bacon to go along with the chorizo and it was great too, cooked just the way I love it (not quite crispy).
