Review Isles Lane - Brisbane

Great place to get coffee. The staff were diligent and super helpful. Ended up having two coffees because they were so great. The coffee came out very quickly as well which was impressive because they appeared to be busy at about 9:00am. Great experience overall

I love how there is table service at this place. You can get a sneaky beer and not have to leave your chair. The toilets here are very swanky.

Good vibes, nice deco; but average food, and comparatively a bit pricey for lunch. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Great food, service and exceptional coffee. It made up for the fact that if was a little hard to find the place based off Google Maps. It would be great if there was a sign off the road so that people wouldn't miss it. Definitely a place to return to when I'm back in Brisbane.

I’ve come here for morning coffees, lunch and dinner. Always good food and a great atmosphere.

Excellent restaurant for hosting Christmas parties or any special event. The canapes accommodated all dietary requirements. Excellent range of beers on tap, wide range of spirits, extensive selections of wine. Wheelchair and pram access. Restrooms located on premises, unsure if wheelchair and pram friendly.

Have been for both dinner and breakfast now! Dinner menu was amazing, something for everyone and so flexible whether you want to share or create your own plate. I had the Edamame falafel and loved it! Brekky menu is generous and modern with some lovely twists (karaage chicken waffels with miso maple omg delish!). Coffee was excellent!

Couldn’t fault our lunch! Had the brisket and lamb - tried all the condiments because, why not?! Salads - had three: beans, candied beetroot and pumpkin. Everything delicious. Service was attentive and fit out made for a very long lunch with relaxed atmosphere. Will be back for sure.

Nice relaxed bar to enjoy drinks. Located in the inner city, it’s a great place to relax after work. The staff are very friendly and lots of seating indoors and out so you can take advantage of the balmy weather if you to choose to sit outside.

Stroll past the place in the afternoon during break from work and was only intended to have a cup of coffee only. Saw their afternoon menu and decided to order their mix dessert plate to share. I was so pleased when I saw the plates and after having it, absolutely LOVE it. Although it took a while to come but as the wait person explains, everything was prepared upon order. The size was generous, ingredients all fresh and colourful and there is nothing for me to dislike. The services was great with neatly presented shop fitting and seating areas. Took my family there a week after but was sadly told they have changed their afternoon menu and no longer serving the dessert plate. Very disappointed.

2.5/5
Nice fitout & outlook. Food is serviceable with scope for improvement.

My dining partner-in-crime & I chose cooling berry smoothie bowls for brekkie & received semi-pretty/semi-clunky plating which ultimately didn’t *spark joy*. Things could have gone better....

• the coconut yoghurt component listed on the menu was missing;
• there were burnt bits of buckwheat granola; &
• our spoons were unceremoniously plonked together on the side of the bare table. (Hope both were Kondo-clean.)

P-I-C tells me they can do better so might return just for a post-work tipple sometime - historically it’s always been a convenient bar site. Til then: thank you and goodbye.
FOODIE ADVENTURE
Went here for a work function and found them to be very accommodating. They get very busy but the platters kept coming. Their platters are very impressive. Loved the variety. Friendly service and great location.
Looking For The Perfect Bite
So lovely to sit in the sun of a Brisbane August lunch time and feast on some delicious food.
I had the salmon bowl, with a generous portion of charred and caramelised Brussel sprouts and a perfectly dressed salad of rocket, pumpkin and avocado. The salmon fillet was soft, tender pink in the middle and juicy. So often salmon is dry - this was divine. My only criticism is that I thought I asked for aioli, and what came was bland and not garlicky. A minor quibble.
My early grey tea though - a light year away from normal Earl Grey, fabulous.

Came here for a Friday lunch with a friend, it was crowded and I heard it will need a 30 mins for walk-in (when I walk past the line and see my friend who already got a table) luckily I booked a table. My friend went there first but I guess he only get served with the menu cause when I came, I only saw empty cups.
We waited for awhile to order, coffee was quick but the main meal took quite awhile. Oh for the ordering, I wanted the lobster roll, but she said is gone.... so I ordered a salmon salad. Bit when I was having my salmon salad I saw somebody is being served the lobster roll.... ummmm maybe need to preorder ?!?
Serving was generous, we both ordered salad so don’t know why it took so long maybe cause I ordered a halloumi chips as well, the dishes have to come altogether ?!? Food was lovely overall.
Is just too many people on a Friday and is really loud when everyone is talking.

Firstly our waitress was lovely and answered 27 questions and gave me recommendations. Had the Haloumi Chips, Soy and Sesame Califlower with Tumeric dipping sauce, and Eaton Mess.
Haloumi and Eaton Mess were amazing, and I can’t get over how good the cauliflower was. Like nothing I’ve had before but incredible flavours. Highly recommend!

Yum - love the karaage chicken waffles :D Definitely my favourite CBD breakfast spot and great to finally have a place to go for brekky before shopping on weekends.

For those who have been fairly active on social media, it would be hard to have missed the fairly recent opening of Isle Lane in Brisbane City, next to Post Office Square. Offering cafe style food in the morning and gastro pub food later, it is definitely very versatile, and given that flexibility is such a highly sought after, there is no doubt why this venue became so popular so quickly. Always on the hunt for a good brunch venue, especially in the CBD, I decided to take an early break and go down before brunch service was over last Friday to kick start the weekend. Arriving at 11am, the restaurant was fairly empty but it still took a fair while for me to get the attention of staff to be allocated a table.
Peruvian Palate
Came here for lunch pretty late. Only a few tables with some people and it took a while to get someone’s attention. We had to stand up and get someone to take our order. The prawns we got as an entree were nice but we ordered 2 and only got 1. They apologised and went to make another order for us. We said not to worry and to cancel it but it was too late. They took the second one off the bill which was really nice. The Brussel sprout salad was nice and lots of charr flavour from the sprouts. The space is really cool, the city needed something like this at Post Office square.

Went here with a group for lunch. Loved the decor, service was prompt & we were able to split the bill.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals & we all wanted to come back to try more of the menu.
I had the salmon bowl large serving which was delicious included brussels sprouts - who knew they could taste so good. Highly recommend.
Love this new place in city! Interior is so pretty! The sesame waffle with fried chicken is absolutely delicious! Gonna be regular my brunch spot. I’ll also try their lunch or dinner sometime~ Recommend!

New place, busy with a lunchtime crowd. Good food, flavoursome. They’re happy to spilt bills which makes life much easier. The only comment as usual when you create a place with loads of wood it makes the whole room noisey and loud.
