Review Navala Churrascaria - Brisbane

Sonia
Hot-view place to go. Had a good time with good view and good meat served by friendly staffs. Just quick tip here is, might as well let them know what you would want to have from their selection of bbq, otherwise waiting time will be long. The staff will bring what you wanted once said.

I went there for my birthday dinner and it was amazing. We sat on the balcony and we absolutely enjoyed our view. The food was delicious and very plentiful. The sides are great but small portions and its unlimited so you could always ask for more. We missed out on Cinnamon Pineapple but we enjoyed everything else. This place is best for special occasions. It’s affordable, something different, great ambience and with breathtaking views.

Went here with the lads for a night out. Was not disappointed. If you are a meat lover you will love this place. The place was very busy but the food kept on coming. Nice place right next to the river and clubs for a night out.

All you can eat BBQ was amazing & juicy and fresh. Didn’t like the calamari and fish. There was nothing coconut about the coconut rice. Crumbed banana and cinnamon pineapple must try!! Staff was super friendly and atmosphere was excellent.

Good portions, great service, wait staff and hosts were funny, personable and eager to please. Views are great. Open air seating is a winner in a pandemic. We visited while the restaurant was offering banquet only ($55 all you can eat meat). My criticism is that some of the meat was undercooked (chicken and pork specifically), the waiters served people in the same order all the time and rarely started at the back of the restaurant with fresh meat. The meat was also somewhat flavourless, as other reviewers have said. Very little seasoning. That said, we ate our body weight in meat so definitely got our moneys worth. Cocktails were excellent too. Great vibe.

My wife and I had our wedding reception at Navala. We have no words to express how grateful we are for the fantastic time we had there. The staff were super friendly and provided world-class service. The food was beyond delicious, and overall the experience for us and our guests was the best we could ask for. We highly recommend Navala to anyone, either for dine-in or an event. The best restaurant in Brisbane.

Went for a friends birthday dinner. Had nice seating for a small group and nice atmosphere. The meat was very delicious and come out in such large quantities that some of the group ate resulted in food level commas. This made the buffet purchase a good chose for us. I enjoyed the cinnamon pineapple.

Absolutely amazing food and service. 10/10. The staff even offered a kids version of the unlimited meat and sides service for our 4 yo. Our daughter loved that the serving staff were asking her if she wanted more food. We're used to restaurant staff talking over our daughter, but Navala Churrascaria went the extra mile to create a memory she'll remember for a long time.

The food was good .but dint get any calamari or garlic prawns . They took the plate away before.it came to be served The pork was very dry . Love the fired bananas. The staff.seem to be confused maybe they should just appoint same staff from tables number to serve their own table . Than customers get to try every sort of bbq .

Food was great! Atmosphere good! Cocktails were awesome! We got the all u can eat option for $55 so seemed worth it for the price. Would definitely recommend.

I don’t know how this place has the good ratings that it does. The manager that was on is an absolute fool, started off with been told to wait whilst they get our table ready when we had a booking and the place was half empty. Than once we got in there it was so noisey with the back ground music, had run out of some of the menu items. I ordered a drink in which they gave me the wrong thing and I approached the manager telling him it was the wrong thing and he just said “ yea cool” and l left the drink with him and he still tried to leave it on the bill. Not the mention they are so careless and just splash oil all over your clothes. Don’t waste your time much better Brazilian bbq places out there, I don’t usually leave but reviews but this place was worse than average.

Amazing staff and food, had a nice view of the bridge. BBQ buffet was sooooo good! We all went home full and satisfied. We will definitely come back!

Great experience Amazing view Yummy food Meat was perfectly cooked an juicy it just melted in mouth. Quite pricey but worth the splurge once.

We walked in and were seated straight away. We had a wonderful view of the river which my family loved. The food was delicious and there was always more coming along at a frequent rate. I particularly enjoyed the pineapple and chicken brain.

Thumbs down to the staff and management! I had a full bottle of coke tipped over me they couldn't even give me a discount off the bill! Service is not great. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

The food was so delicious & such a great variety that it was difficult to stop eating. All the staff were incredibly helpful, polite & friendly. To top it off gorgeous river views. Cannot wait to go back!

This was my second time at navala , food was delicious both times , easy to book over the phone , friendly staff , excellent service, overall one of the best Brazilian food in brisbane with a beautiful riverside view, will be back shortly.
Bianca Martin
The staff were really friendly and asked us what type of meat we wanted to eat so we got the full experience of the Brazilian BBQ. I couldn’t praise them enough
Amanda Christie
Fantastic service, food was awesome and Hubby was impressed which is rare when it comes to food especially meat lol Will definitely return again 👌🏻

Customer service by the manager was terrible. The meat was ok, some was quite fatty needed seasoning. The sides quite bland and uninteresting. The chips and salad were probably the best of the lot. Service was fast and efficient almost too fast, interruptong the flow of the dinner conversation. Unfortunately the waiter was not experiemced in opening wine. They broke the first cork which didnt matter as it tasted corked too. The manager grudgingly let us choose another bottle. This time we chose another bottle twice the price. The waiter broke the cork in that one too. Didnt notice though until i found cork bobbing around in my glass. When we complained the manager said "what do u want me to do? Wouldnt give a discount cause we had drunk half of it. He offered 2 glasses of wine, pretty sure it woukdnt have been fro. The same bottle

Food we had was nice, limited choice came around with the same three meats, then cut us off, charged us for extra at the end too, this is the s cond time we were over charged here. But i will sress the food we had was good just not the full selection
Humberto Lodder
Having been in Brisbane for just two months, I went there on both Sundays on which there were feijoada. I have to tell you just how good they tasted. I'm definitely coming back here for more brazilian music, great food and friendly service.

Yum. Great food great venue great staff. We will be back!!!

Exceptional as always 😉 Staff are always accommodating and the good is always divine The caipirinhas!! Omg!! Amazing!! Always make an effort to go when we are in Brisbane and this restaurant NEVER fails to disappoint 😘

I’ve got to say I was disappointed with the service, the quality , and the amount of choice. I know it was a Monday night but if it’s still the same price, you should have the same amount of choices. Been before and loved it but on this occasion it was very boring food. Nothing of note. Nothing special at all. If this was my first time there, I doubt I’d go back. As it is, I’m not sure if I’ll return anytime soon anyways. Would’ve had a much better meal and time at one of the other numerous restaurants in the area

Lovely staff and nice food along with riverside views.

Wow the meat here was simply delicious. Enjoyed all the different cuts they offered and the service was also top notch.

Warning - if you want to eat here and get your parking validated - make sure you park at the Wilson Parking at 123 Eagle Street. NOT the Wilson Parking at Eagle St Pier. Otherwise you don’t get the $9 validated ticket after your meal.

Anyway not holding that against them. We came for the lunch BBQ all you can eat for $55 per person.

How it works is you order sides - eg chips, sauces etc. but in terms of meat, a waiter comes and carved different selections of meat and you use your tongs to grab a piece. Sort of like getting freshly shaved kebab meat - but of better quality.

Some of the meat was amazing eg the Crispy Pork. Others were ok. You have your piece and then snack on the sides until another waitstaff comes with another skewer of meat for you to grab with your tongs.

A bit novel in terms of experience... but is it worth $55. In my opinion not really, especially since the sides were literally just chips, black beans, salsa and different sauces... nothing special.

Ambience was really nice, and the views are amazing of the Brisbane river.

As a result 4/5

I LIKE THE CHURASCO AND VIEW BUT NEED TO SERVE MORE ENTREE BECAUSE WAS EIGHT OF US
NEXT TO US WAS FOUR PEOPLE THEY GOT SAME AMOUNT OF ENTREE
Alex
Lovely setting, had the all you can eat.
Second time to this restaurant and a nice bottle of red goes down with the beautiful meat selection, service was quick and friendly, well priced, definitely a place to check out.

atmosphere - excellent

service - great. constantly being served meat.

food - as I used to work in Brazilian churrascaria, my expectation was very high. the quality of their meat was not bad, but not impressively good either. not worth that high price. I liked their variety of menu such as seafood. However, while getting offered chicken so frequently, we needed to really wait for beef and better quality meat. Coraçaos (chicken hearts) were quite small and tasteless for an churrascaria.
Ken
After a recommendation from a friend I decided to give this place a go. I went with the meat buffet option where you keep getting served BBQ meats until you cannot have anymore. For $55 it was definitely worth it. Most meats where cooked well with great seasoning however some seemed a bit over cooked. But overall as a great experience.
Abhishek
Had a nice sumptuous buffet dinner. This place is a must visit for carnivorous folks where pocket gets lighter by $55 per person. The grilled meats in skewers keeps on coming generously even before the first serving gets finished.

The best bbq meats among the lot were picanha (rump cap), despite being less salty and lamb rump. Coconut fish, calamari and pork leg were also good. The sides were not too overwhelming. Coconut rice and potato salad were ordinary, banana frita and black beans were fine, but completely enjoyed the hot sauces- Murupi and Malgueta chilli.

The drinks weren't great either and bit pricey. Tried Amazonia and Caipirinha and without beating drums, I somehow manage to make better Caipirinha with the same cachaca at home.

The staffs were friendly and courteous, outside seating ambience is excellent and I would love to visit again for the bbq meats.
Ahmadloubnani
Very nice churrasco meat and they have big variety and they keep bringing food for you till you tell them I can’t see meat anymore plus nice view
Sarah
Great variety in food but also huge on the meat, wish there where more vegetable options but apart from that was delicious. The haloumi, chicken thighs, pork and cinnamon pineapple where a huge delight and the pine apple was absolutely delicious. Went here for a christmas work party and would definitely go back. Very popular and great view, service was slightly slow waiting for people to come around at first but once they started you got a huge variety of everything.

Huge disappointment unfortunately. Being Brazilian I always wanted to visit Navala but since it's very expensive I was holding for an special occasion. Last Friday we went there and and they served very small containers of food which you can order again however the container fit 3 teaspoons of rice, or farofa so you need to be reordering all the time. On the first half an hour we were served 1 sausage and 2 pieces of meat one which was undercooked. The manager came to ask how everything was going and we said that we weren't so happy. After that we started being served more often however most of the meat was tasteless and the Picanha was saltless and though. You are charging $55 per person please serve your customers enough food! Sorry for the bad review but it was very disappointing. I have been to the monthly feijoada tough and it was really good.
Matthew
Lots and lots of food .., the consistency of the cooking let it down ..... 90% of the food was perfectly cooked.... some calamari was under cooked and one serve of beef was tough .... other then that perfect and it would not stop me going again

My husband and I brought our friends to your restaurant on Friday night, who were on their honeymoon and were visiting us for a couple of nights and it was the last night they spent in Australia. We had a reservation and went there, it was crowded, we ordered two cocktails and a vodka on the rocks, but one of the waitresses, her name was Maria, brought us a glass of champagne so I asked my friends if they ordered any champagne in our own language because they don’t speak English then the waitress said ‘Answer yes or no please’. I was confused why she was upset so I asked ‘what?’ and she said something like our behaviour was rude so I said ‘I couldn’t hear you, this place is loud’ then she said ‘I spoke loudly enough, I don’t think you couldn’t hear me’…. she put the cocktails on the table and walked away. From that moment, my husband and I felt very unpleasant and upset and I couldn’t even understand why she tried to argue with me. I called the general manager and talked about everything and he said sorry and I told him that we wanted another staff member to serve us because I didn’t want to ruin our last dinner. I wanted to hear the reason why she said that and tried to teach us, but there was no explanation or even a sorry from her and she kept pointing at us and saying something to her colleague, staring and walking around us. We were furious, and upset, and we don’t want to visit your restaurant again, but we wanted to let you know why. It might be a good idea that the staff have better customer service training.

On the whole an unpleasent experience!
My wife and I had a nice seat on the balcony overlooking the river. Great! The service was fast and the quality of the food was really good.
Just dont order wine there.
The first bottle was corked and after that we switched to a nicer bottle $112 they charged.
The young waitress was not experienced at opening wine and broke the cork while opening the bottle she went a way to fix it. She came back and poured our wine. After a glass each we noticed what we first thought was sediment actually turned out to be bits of cork. I look in the bottle and there's a large piece bobbing about. When we mentioned the cork the manager came and said "well you have drunk almost half of it what would you like me to do?" Um filter and decanter it. So off he went and came back later. The wine tasted much nicer.
When we went to pay we offered a suggestion that in future if that happens to filter and decanter is before serving to the customer. His response "yeah, oh well sometimes it happens". No discount offered and poorly handled complaint/suggestion for improvement
Great food with a lovely atmosphere. My partner and I have been several times. It has a lovely outlook of the story bridge a large range of food to satisfy even the fussiest of eaters.
My only disappointment is that they no longer serve the cheese bread when you arrive.
Driving from Brisbane Airport this evening we were deciding on our options for dinner. A steak dinner at Moo Moo or a meaty buffet at Navala Churrascaria. As we approached the City we decided the variety of meats from Navala was more appealing.

I parked below the restaurant and 5 minutes later we were seated with a nice view of the Storey Bridge, provided with menus and a cold jug of iced water. As expected both of us opted for the $53 buffet which the menu promises 20 different types of grilled goodies & seafood and an interesting selection of side dishes and sauces. Topping up these side dishes and sauces is complimentary.

The side dishes arrived within 10 minutes and we started snacking while waiting for the grilled meats to arrive. A short wait and the grilled meats started arriving. Various cuts of beef, lamb, pork, chicken were brought to the table with grilled prawns faster than we could swallow. I was curious when we were offered breadcrumbed basa which I politely declined. No Mekong catfish for me thank you.

My dining partner hit a brick wall and meekly ceded defeat after 40 minutes. Ten minutes later I twirled the dial on our table to red signifying "surrender"! We finished the meal with a slice of grilled cinnamon pineapple which did wonders for the palate.

The waiters and meat servers were polite and friendly which made us feel very comfortable. Navala is a beautiful restaurant with a nice view of the Storey Bridge and Brisbane River. I would recommend this Churrascaria buffet experience to my fellow meat loving reviewers.

I thought I was mature enough to go to buffets and not destroy myself...I was wrong. I went here with my partner and her Brazilian friends, the food is delicious (apparently the chicken hearts were a highlight, but I was too far gone to try them by this stage), the view is great and the experience is fun. I left here feeling a good kind of terrible and down a fair chunk of coin...but happy.

Great meat dishes even some options for vegetarian. Their preset menu is very filling and as much as you can eat. Must try once to experience various animals and this style of dining

Awesome Brazilian BBQ. Excellent selection of meat and even better service. The meat just kept coming.

Highly recommend and make sure you ask for the rare bits of meat!
Nicole Butler
ATROCIOUS! Obviously meat is the star at this restaurant but everything we had was inedible. Truly the meat was too tough to eat. The prawns and fish were overcooked. The sides were BAD, just plain BAD. The polenta was tough and tasteless, the potato salad lacked flavour and was topped by store-bought French fries - something you'd see in a foodcourt. The side salad is as basic as they come. I can't emphasise enough - the meat here is TERRIBLE!
Millicen
Omg I love this place! I've been here a few times and it's a fav. They have a huge selection of yummy meats and also a good selection of sauces and sides to compliment them.. It's great for big eaters.. Drinks - well the sangria is so delicious and homemade and the staff are always super friendly and helpful.
Tom Collin
What a fantastic place to eat! Having eaten at another Brazilian BBQ restaurant in Brisbane this is by far the superior! With an amazing array of meats and sides you will eat until you're hearts content. The staff are all fantastic and we were looked after really well!
SpicyRamekin
If constantly circulating food being served to you at ridiculously high speeds is your thing, then Navala Charrascaria is for you. Stress and chaos aside, the meat was perfectly cooked, and there was a wide variety available to suit most palates. To be honest I don't remember too much from this restaurant except leaving extremely full and having enjoyed everything, so I would obviously suggest you drop by for the buffet at your earliest convenience.
SweetRamekin
This is an exciting but daunting experience – for $53 you get unlimited bbq meats and sides. The drinks list is extensive, moderately priced and well paired to the meats, and the service was mostly prompt and polite. The location along Eagle Street is nice but the venue is very busy and noisy; there were 5 other birthday celebrations when we went so be prepared to feel lacking in uniqueness if you’re celebrating. Some of the dishes were unexcitingly mediocre and clearly tailored for more basic palates (chips, coconut rice, garlic bread), but others were terrific, particularly the pork ribs and beef ribs. Waiters constantly bring food to tables and carve meats straight onto your plate which was, as a personal detester of the usual physical demands of buffets, a huge plus and greatly enhanced my consumptive capabilities. The range of foods available is somewhat overwhelming, so carefully constructing a strategic plan of attack is definitely advised. Overall a great meal for the price, and worth a visit for group dinners.
Mark Trayner
Meat overload!! Do not come on anything less that a completely empty stomach!! The staff just keep coming with yet more types of meats on a big skewer and cut off portions to your plate... and again... and again... and.......
All the staff are Brazilian, which adds that authenticity to the place.
We went with 3 real Brazilians, and they said it was all authentic, so that's as good a vote as anything!
Carly Caspersz
Delicious, meat Is amazing , cooked to perfection. The views are fantastic and it was very fun. A different eating experience for me. The staff were also lovely.
Dale Norton
Navala Churrascaria is a super cool place to eat, especially if you're hungry and love meat! You get to pick from a huge variety of sides but the meat tastes so good on it's own that you don't even need any condiments! Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommended!
AnitaOnChi
Prepare ze stomach for this one if you're going to Navala, because with unlimited meats, and a wide range of sides you're going to want to maximise. The favourites are of course Rump Cap (can't go wrong with a Rump Cap for a Brazilian BBQ) - we do however wish there was a bit more flavour to the meat. Exquisite views of the Brisbane River from this place, and really is a good choice if you're wanting something hearty and indulging but still want the picturesque views from Eagle St. Customer Service is fantastic.
Andrew Pratt
Not an authentic Brazilian grill at all.
In spite of some efforts put by the waitress, the quality of the drinks and food was very mediocre.
The caipirinha served as the true Brazilian drink was made with soda water and definitely has got nothing to do with a real one.
Meat cuts were ok, but half of them showed on the menu werennot served!???
It seems there are only serving this cuts occasionally...but nothing is explained on the menu.
This is frankly dishonnest to me.

An expensive experience for a very average dinner. Stay away!
Danni
Yum yum yum!
The haloumi was amazing and so was all the meat!
The staff were great, except towards the end of the night when they seemed to not come around a whole lot even though the place was still busy.
Espresso&Matcha
Last week happened to be the 7th of the 7th in the lunar calendar, marking the lantern festival. To celebrate that, a couple of friends and I decided to have dinner somewhere nice to commemorate the occasion. To that, we picked Navala on the Riverside, where we could appreciate the river view and enjoy a nice dinner with friends. As with my previous posts on buffets, I will try to keep my commentary to a minimum, and speak with my photos instead.

Compared to other Brazilian BBQ restaurants I've been to, I was let down. The atmosphere is really bland and unimpressive and the room was quite ugly to be honest. Even the views couldn't save it. The food was okay but nothing great. The service was fine but once again, just average. I won't be going back.
Ronnielui2003
It was the second time to visit this restaurant in five months. Went there to celebrate friend's birthday in a group of four. Only be charged for $53 per head, we had tried a lot of different foods from the BBQ degustation including Rump Cap, Flank Steak, Lamb Rump, Lamb Leg, Brazilian Sausage, Garlic Prawn on and on and on. They will continuously serve you till you say "stop" , so generous with attentive service. I did not forget to have the signature ABACAXI (Cinnamon Pineapple) , they are soooooo good. I was disappointed to miss the Brazilian dance which I watched last time. Maybe they only perform it in the weekend. However, it is a very nice culinary experience.
Level-headed
Reasonable effort. I've eaten many better Brazilian BBQ's than this. Some meats were tasty but most lacked the real churrasco flavour. Service was good and location great. Actual restaurant decor was a bit drab. Overall I wouldn't go back but wouldn't condemn them either.
Investigative Foodiest
Terrible service, Cold Unseaoned meat that resembles left overs. Anyone who is considering this place over the other options because of the view/location... Think twice.

The service is terrible here. Regardless of making a reservation we had to wait over 20m then taken to a small table when clearly there were other tables available. When we asked about being moved the server was extremely rude and even started to raise his voice. Definitely not trained to act professional.

Some of the meat that came to our table was already cold from making its round around the restaurant. Worst part was that we ended up with a bloody piece of meat with no seasoning.

The side dishes were terrible. Our fries were literally wet. Again no seasoning. Salad was a boring vinaigrette without any flavour... How you ask... It's possible with this place.

The only thing that was remotely good was the sausage. Then again that alone should give you an idea about what sort of brazilian "bbq/steak" place this is.

2/10 service
4/10 food
7/10 cocktails
8/10 location
Warning... Avoid this place at all cost.

Fantastic!!. Lovely setting, mouth-watering food, cooked to perfection. No complaints whatsoever.

Meat heaven !!. So much food! So many varieties and all cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend and this makes a nice change from usual steak restaurants on the riverfront.
Read so much -ve review, dunno why would u order a la carte when the true enjoyment of such places is eat ur heart out and with soo many different varieties on platter.

Its perfect place to eat, drink , chit chat, eat, drink , chit chat, and so on, no need to rush for anything and drinks are awesome too.
Cara Turnley
We came here for a work lunch with approx 16 people - while the food is tasty I couldn't enjoy it due to the sweat dripping down my face. The peacock feather fans are useless and when we asked the waitress if it was possible to crank the air con, the manager came back saying that they couldn't do anything because the door at the side if the restaurant was open..... So close it?
So uncomfortable inside if you do go, go in winter
John Woolnough
Absolute crap. Crap food, crap service, crap atmosphere, crap music, crap hygiene.

Oh and this is my shortened review. They delete most of the bad reviews.
Michael
Brazilian BBQ on the Brisbane river banks. If you like meat, this is the place to go. For about $60 you will have the wait staff come past your table with a variety of differently cooked meat which is cut off the skewer right in front of your eyes. They come past every few minutes with culinary delights that will certainly have you salivating within minutes of entering the restaurant- but be warned, you better be hungry!!! If you are expecting a lot of seafood to be flowing out the door, get ready to be disappointed- not that I really minded as I am fairly picky with the creatures from the sea.

The drinks are somewhat pricey, especially the soft drink. Why this place has not gone post mix, is the question of the day.

There is also entertainment with drummers and dancing girls which was a good highlight to the night.

Well worth going as a group & is kid friendly. Just be warned that once you have been there for two hours, they will quickly try and throw you out the door for their next session of customers.

How NOT to treat a patron!!. I've been to many a Brazilian BBQ before and know the score...a set price for all you can eat delicious BBQ meat. But when you're not that hungry and a menu is presented to you, a la carte is a great option - IF you can actually order from that menu...haha!! I pointed to the rib dish on the menu and placed the order with our waiter and when it did not arrive after 40mins, I asked another waiter how far away it would be...only to be told that you cannot order a la carte. Confused, I asked why was I offered me a menu then?? Next thing, I was met by a manageress, screaming at me and not willing to accept my recommendation to not offer your patrons a menu if you actually cannot order from it...her response? Don't tell me how we should do things in our own restaurant!! And blaming her staff for 'not being able to speak English very well. What took the cake was her pointing and gesturing to her staff to cease any form of service to me. What a joke and disappointment!!
Tonym33
Terrible. Without doubt the worst dining experience I and our table of 20 have ever had. Overpriced food which is cut from skewers in either a part raw, burnt or just fatty portions. Side dishes when you could find one were plain, undersized and infrequently placed throughout the table. The highlight, at one stage, chicken heart offal was brought around the table as a treat......insulting. The room is noisy, you cannot have a conversation, the live music volume is ok although it is muffled and poorly mixed. Our larger table was poorly managed by staff. People were missing out on meat courses and when skewers did arrive it was all unclear what was actually being offered. At no time did my plate look like it had a meal on it. After cutting away fatty bits, there was little to enjoy. The sausage was ok, only because it reminded me of the chorizo sausage I can get from Coles for $4.50, not $53.00. We will not be returning. It is not a degustation experience. It is a disgusting trendy con. Save you time and your money and dine somewhere else
Renata
Absolutely fantastic!!!!!! Staff is absolutely lovely and just really good people. Good people and good food what else could you ask for. BEST BRAZILIAN BBQ IN BRISBANE. And this comes from a brazilian

Amazing food.. Fresh mouth watering meat, amazing side dishes to compliment the meat. Great service, very attentive to the customer. Great atmosphere with vibrant colours, view of the story bridge and brazillian vocal entertainment. All staff friendly and happy to help.

Finally a great Brazilian BBQ in Brisbane. Great food, great atmosphere!
It has a perfect location and atmosphere for either casual dinning and corporate dinning.
Service is great, staff is friendly and helpful and food is delicious and fresh.
Sue Jenkins-Marsh
Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. Three of us popped in on a Friday night. Staff were very friendly, explained everything clearly. Food came round at regular intervals, no delay in food experienced as others have said. Meat cooked perfectly, moist and tender. Probably would agree that some people wouldn't get their $53 worth of food but we had no complaints.
Rewright
POOR SERVICE. I went to Navala with no expectations and was sorely disappointed - The service the table and I received from not only staff, but the MANAGEMENT was terrible.

A large group and myself celebrated a MILESTONE Birthday at Navala - the birthday girl was in TEARS not long after guests arrived, as management told guests if they were not ordering the 'all you can eat option' they had to leave the restaurant. The only alternative to this was to drink at the bar, away from the birthday celebration. It was a long night trying to rectify this.

As a group we understand where the restaurant is coming from, HOWEVER to treat paying customers who had spent close to $1,000 at Navala, with such disrespect is beyond insulting. Needless to say, myself and the large group I dined with, will not be returning, nor promoting anyone else to. I would much rather spend the $53 dollar price paid for the main meal (which was also the only dinner option available); elsewhere along the Eagle St Pier.

So much food! So many varieties and all cooked to perfection. Service a little slow with drinks etc. but certainly cannot complain as rest of experience was very good. Would definitely recommend and makes a nice change from usual steak restaurants on the riverfront.

O-Some!!. Food was Awesome, unlike another review... all the food was juicy, tender and delicious. service was good and I will be going back to enjoy their fare again.
Lashez
Was just ok. Nearly everything was over cooked and dry sides were good though staff were friendly think the Brazillian BBQ at Bardon is better meats more tender and medium rare rather than well done...

Proper Brazilian Churrasco now in Brisbane. This is probably the closest to a proper Brazilian churrasco I could taste in Australia.
The meat was cooked the right way, the staff were very friendly and attentive and kept us well served throughout the night, both with rodizio meat, sides and drinks.
Didn't have any problems with meat temperature, as others here complained, and, yes, the music is loud, but that's the whole point, Brazilians are loud. But I found it to be case only during the samba show. The rest of the night I could hear the live music being beatifully executed and at the right volume.
Read about the experience before going to this place, as it might not be for everyone. Unless you really love meat (and eating lots of it), this is not the place for you.
Adey
Great fun!. We went for a late Saturday lunch ($53 all you can eat) and am so glad we tried it. Our table was covered in little dishes full of yummy sides and condiments which were lovely with all the different types of rotisserie cooked meat, fish and even cheese which kept coming and coming and coming and coming...... The staff were very very friendly and we had none of the problems other diners have mentioned here. It was fairly quiet and the food came quickly and was hot and succulent. I will go back.

Agreed with first review. Basically what the first reviewer said sums up Navala Churrascaria perfectly. The food is quite expensive for what is essentially "fancy pub/tarvern roast". I ordered the Lamb Leg and others on my table had the same or the Lunch Special (lamb, beef or pork from the roast) and sides of mash and chips. The portions are not huge and whilst my Lamb Leg tasted good (the saving grace was definitely the eggplant and sauce), the quality of the meat was what you would find at a good pub/tavern. Avoid the potato mash as it is $7 for a small bowl which was sub-par (not creamy and quite watering/inconsistent in texture).

Overall, the staff seemed disorganised - they waited a long time to give us menus/not familiar with the menu and fiddled around with iPads/our bill.

As with the first reviewer, I would say the "all you can eat" is not worth the $50+ (you could almost go to a buffet for this price). Some people on my table chose this option and was regretting it after 30mins as it was clear that the staff were slow to offer the meat for carving and by the time we left, I am very sure they did not get their $50+ worth of food.

The view and ambience is very nice though and if you must give it a try, I would recommend the pulled pork burger which looked quite nice and was bigger in portion.

Deliciously Brazilian. There's not very many Brazilian Churrasco options in Brisbane - I've been to Mundo Churrasco & Leema's Lounge - neither was as good as the new Navala. The range of food was huuuuge - not just meaty, but also had seafood offerings and the ever so succulent cinnamon & sugar covered pineapples. They also have the biggest range of sides - my favourite being these parmesan mochi-like breads. I could eat a mountain of those. All the dishes were nicely balanced in flavour. I find with the other restaurants I've been to the meats tend to get too salty and that's all you taste: salt.

The place does get quite noisy - but that's only because people were enjoying themselves and fits in with the atmosphere. It's not suppose to be a fancy fine-dining experience. It's a fun, social, all-you-can-eat experience!

I didn't get to try the desserts, but they sound delicious - must return to try them. I got too eager with the sides and meats and was too full to try anything else.

Give it a miss. Must say we were so disappointed by this restaurant. The concept is great but is extremely poorly executed. After paying $53 a head for the "all you can eat" we left after 2 hours still feeling hungry. Staff are so disorganized and just do not seem to know what they are doing. Most of the meat was cold or luke warm at best by the time it gets to the table. We never managed to try the ribs because they never seemed to make it to our table. Staff definitely seemed more interested in the large tables than the couples and other small groups. Music was overly loud making it very hard to talk. Will no be returning. Such a shame.

All you can eat meat is a statement that rings sweetly to my ears, I love barbeque, I love nearly all cuts of meat and I love a challenge... liked the fact that Navala had no time limit on their food and no seating times....we followed the smell of smoky meat to the sign. We admired the fire pits at the front of the restaurant immensely and wondered what the fire pit specials were for the night. Here is their menu.
Dolce Bunnie
We devoured that meaty goodness like barbarians whilst listening to some relaxing live tunes and downing cooling fresh coconut water. I should also mention that the service that we received on the night was upbeat, friendly and efficient. We absolutely enjoyed our dinner at Navala. The only downside was, the other travel bunnie and I were so full, we almost rolled all the way home.
