3.5 ⭐️ - Great ambiance, not too loud and staff were attentive. Food also came out promptly without long waiting times. We tried the:
♤ Kaarage calamari - delicious, not too heavg and the sauce was amazing
♤ Fried crumbed haloumi - another beautiful dish, can't go wrong with haloumi. Nice touch with pickled vegetables
♤ Corn ribs - quite underwhelming and messy to eat, wished they removed the cob
♤ Korean wings - pretty bland and wasn't enough sauce
♤ Apple & rhubarb crumble - overall dish was too sour for my liking

We had an amazing Saturday night, the service was excellent - we were seated outside and the only table out there and the gentleman who served us was very attentive and charming. We noticed that and how difficult it is to be running from inside to outside just for one couple. He gave us a great cheese recommendation (the lemon myrtle goat cheese) for our charcuterie board which was delicious. We love canvas. It’s always a great night out.

Thank you so much for holding my hens night. The atmosphere was amazing the staff were fabulous and food was delicious. We all loved the cocktails they went down really well and the added personal touch of me being able to rename the cocktails was fabulous. I recently celebrated my 50th birthday in the Canvas courtyard, which had a great party atmosphere. Dan & his great staff were welcoming, accommodating and very professional, with no-fuss planning and easy communication throughout.
The food and drinks were excellent, and I loved having my personalized retro menu.
Huge thanks and praise; I highly recommend this venue for your next function.

Went here with family for lunch. Food was took longer than expected but the service and the food were on point. Really enjoyed our meals and the guys were apologetic about the delay in food but also always were checking water and how we were. Great work guys! We’ll be coming back for sure.

I stumbled upon this restaurant by just chance and the Tuesday Tapas deal sounded great, $10 Tapas. Normally you would need to eat at least half a dozen Tapas plates to fill you up as the size is usually very small, the waiter did stop me and said that just order a couple and then see if you could do more as they are a good size, and he was Wright about that. I ordered the prawns with chorizo and the slow cooked pork belly, all I can say was YUM in capital letters, the portions were nice and the flavour just amazing, I travel and eat at many places but I would defiantly come back here couple times a week even if they were not the Tuesday specials. The funny thing is that people leaving the restaurant were all telling me how amazing the food was before I even ordered, and they were Wright. I did tempt myself and tried the Spanish meat balls and the garlick bread and again Yum, I even got a chance to take half the bread home with a big chunk of garlick butter which you get on the side to apply yourself, it was breakfast. I guess you know the food is good when you want to eat it so fast and also to try and savour every bite and eat it slow. If your near the Gabba or not look this place up, there are not a lot of tables and you could miss it walking by but don't. Next time I'm in Brisbane it's my go to place now.

Loved the special touch of having our own specialised menu for the evening and even got to name our signature cocktails for the event. Would absolutely recommend you to have your next event there. We just held our Christmas party at Canvas - and everyone is still raving about it! Organising the event with Dan was so easy and we were able to add our own flair on the night which just added to the already perfect ambience of the courtyard! On the night, the guys who looked after us were great. The drinks menu had a great variety and the pizzas and platters were perfect for a stand up event. I would highly recommend these guys for a private function - we'll be back! Thanks Dan, Tristan and Bar Dan :-)

Had a friends birthday here and Tristan and Sam were our servers and absolutely nailed it. Remembered us all by name I have never felt so welcome in a restaurant before. Absolute perfection in terms of service and the food and drinks were also tops. Tristan and Sam should be commended for their hospitality skills they are the reason we keep coming back. We were lucky enough to celebrate our engagement party in the Canvas courtyard on Saturday night with over 40 of our closest friends & family.
Dan & his team were fantastic, friendly & on the ball the whole time. From the first point of communication up until we left the venue... nothing was too much trouble at all. These guys rock & all of our guests were raving about the amazing service all night!
The food & drinks were absolutely delicious & the personalised menus were such a cool & welcome surprise!
We loved every moment of the night & cannot thank you all enough for making the party so easy to enjoy! We all had so much fun :)

I've found my special place! Great vibe, could swear the music was picked just for us and our cocktail guy was just superb. When praised he was also quick to name the talent on the bar who perfectly matched taste to my previously uneducated cocktail palate. Hope to come back ASAP (especially to collect the bottle of whiskey we accidentally left behind- oops!!)

The tapas were great, and there was lots of variety (I personally liked the chicken wings the most). There were Calamari, fries ("chips") that had a distinct savoriness about it, prawns, pizzas... And then the drinks! Apparently, they rotate the beer on tap, so every two weeks, you get to try something new!
There are two outside/outdoors areas (by the street like a café, and behind as sort of a private hangout).
So, excellent food, variety, location (very accessible), and ambience... What more could one ask for?
A MUST VISIT (and not just once)!
