Totally delish. One of the best Indian dishes in Brisbane that suits my Asian taste bud. One of the few places which really deliver spicy flavour. Would recommend 5/5.

One of the best places in Brisbane. Very good dishes, fair price compared to other places in Brisbane, and good service.

I have been a frequent customer for the past 3 years, back when they were at Bellbowrie and were selling takeaway lunch specials. I have tried their korma, butter chicken, tikka masala, etc., etc. and they are all so delicious.
Wait time for dine in is always pretty good. Always end up ordering a chicken korma, cheese and garlic naan, and rice.

Would recommend taking on their higher spicy levels, it does go higher than "hot".

WARNING: They do takeaway for dinners, so I would not recommend putting Spicy Affair in your contacts list or else you will get in trouble with the Missus.

Good service and excellent dishes.

Always find it strange though when a curry house ask you how spicy you would like a Chicken Korma, a Korma is mild dish, it wouldn’t be a Korma if was red hot !!

Although on the pricey side of an Indian, you pay for what you get and you can taste the value in the dishes so happy to pay the extra.

Will certainly be going back again.

Very nice Curry’s and rice, nice atmosphere, good service and decent prices. My only complaint is the naan isn’t great. Would definitely come back here for the Curry’s

Authentic, reasonably priced and always consistently good. I love this place. A hidden gem that's worth the drive. Arguably the best Indian food in Brisbane.

Awesome food in an intimate little restaurant. It never disappoints, eat in or take away. Do yourself a favour and check it out. Reasonably priced too.  BYO, it ticks all the boxes.

An Affair to Remember. If it's Saturday night - it must be Indian or Vietnamese! We adore indian food, spend time in India on a regular basis and are always, always on the lookout for authentic and delicious indian restaurants in Brisbane. We have our favourites and return to those often, but finding a new place that pleases our palates is like finding a needle in a haystack. There are so many indian restaurants around Brisbane now, which is great, but we know what we like and a lot of places just don't offer up what we are after (truly authentic tastes not watered down for australian palates; interesting dishes beyond the usual korma/saag/tikka masala; goat on the menu - just some of our wants).

Anyway on Saturday night after suggesting our usual Viet, Hubby said he wanted Indian and we decided it was a night to try out somewhere we hadn't been before. A quick check on Urbanspoon and up popped Spicy Affair. A little out of the way out at Bellbowrie, but from the reviews we felt it was worth the minor trek. Well simply "wow" ... firstly it's in the Bellbowrie shopping centre with views of the carpark - but don't let that put you off. We found a delightful restaurant with the most gorgeous ambience and decore ... it's only very small so you may need to book (about 10 tables in total, I'm going to say perhaps 30 people at most) - we got lucky and got one of the few remaining tables. I loved the dark walls with subtle indian touches and a lovely indoor water feature - don't get me wrong, I love my bright indian restaurants with the ubiquitous Bollywood move playing - but it was really nice to dine in such a soothing and refined setting - it had that fine dining feel that you usually don't get in Indian restaurants (wish more places would do this).

The other touch that I loved was the glass fronted doors into the kitchen, seeing the Chef preparing the food while we waited to be seated, just whetted my appetite for what was to come - what a treat. So onto the food. Service was prompt and friendly, with water to our table and our waitress attending to us in short time. We started out sharing the Himilayan Spring Rolls - they weren't quite what I was expecting (if you ever end up in India, order spring rolls just about anywhere, especially from hotel room service - you can thank me later). But what we got was still delicious - a beautiful spicy filling encased in crispy spring roll wrappers - served with a sweet chilli dipping sauce - I probably would have preferred a minted yoghurt or brown sauce, but that's just me. Still totally enjoyable.

For mains I was excited to see both a Fijian goat curry and a Goan fish vindaloo available - both of which I love. We ordered the goat medium spice and the vindaloo hot (as only a vindaloo should be eaten) ... along with sides of rice, raita and plain/cheese & spinach naan. Again I was incredibly pleased with my choice - the goat was melt in the mouth tender in a delicious curry sauce and the vindaloo was fiery and spicy, yet the other subtle flavours of the curry were able to be tasted - just how a good hot curry should be. The naan was just how I like it - a bit crispy and not too "fat" and the raita was the perfect accompaniment to the vindaloo to cool the mouth down a little. Seriously good indian food!

We couldn't finish it all off, so took the leftovers home and they were as good, if not even better (as if often the case in a curry) the next day. Truly delicious and quite a find ... and on the favourites list for a return visit in the very very near future.

Absolutely perfect! Food, service, climate. Flavoursome curries, tender meat. I'm picky and this ticks all the boxes. 10/10

Hidden Gem. We went to Spicy Affair for a family dinner as it is close to my Mother and Sister in Karana Downs. We went in with relatively low expectations, thinking we'd get standard Euro-Indian food from a somewhere way out in the 'burbs. We were blown away. The flavours were amazing. The choice was huge, with a number of dishes we'd never come across before. The Naan breads were gorgeous and light - not a trace of the heavy, doughy, oiliness you often get. Our favourite dishes of the night were the Fish Malabar and Fijian Goat Curry Best of all, the service was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Ordered Take-Away from the Bellbowrie restaurant tonight. The food was beautiful (rivals the best Indian Restaurants in Brisbane) and the portion size was good. Will be eating from here again!

Bookings are highly recommended here, the layout is quite intimate and is always busy so book ahead if you are planning to dine in. They also offer take away so you can enjoy the delicious food from the comfort of your home as well. The service here was friendly, quick and attentive to our table despite being quite busy. Our food came out within a reasonable amount of time and was presented well. The dishes themselves were full of flavour, well cooked and very satisfying. The cost here was very surprising, we ordered an entree, drinks, two mains, rice and naan bread but came out feeling full and paid less than $100. Parking is just around the back with plenty of space at night as most of the local businesses are closed.

Great dining experience and the food was exceptional. The staff are friendly and prompt with their service, given we were a large table, and the drinks were cold. Prices are very reasonable and the menu is extensive and will suit all palates, from no spice to those who like the fire hydrant nearby spicy and hot (me). I had the goat curry and highly recommend it🙂. Enjoy!!

Fantastic restaurant! I worked for the chef many years ago so I know how much he cares about the food he creates. I don't live nearby anymore, but I always make a special trip for my birthday every year. The chicken Vindaloo is my favourite and he can make it very spicy on request 😁

New to the area and after trying some takeaway which was delicious, we dined in. Amazing food, many unique dishes I don't normally see with a highlight being the prawn Malabar. Great service and reasonable prices. A long term local favourite.

Delicious curries and great service. The samosas had light pastry and tasty vegetables. The Fijian goat curry was tender in a rich spicy sauce and the naan bread was hot and fluffy straight out if the oven. The whole family really enjoyed their dinner too.

I've done takeaway and uber eats here. Usually takeaway Indian food disappoints me but Spicy Affair was different. It's not cheap cheap but it's not expensive for the quality and amount you get. I would and do go back for takeaways (it's cheaper than uber eats). I am not sure about dining. Will update once I dine in. Will travel up to 1 hr to come here.

I've been to two amazing Indian restaurants in this world, one in Glasgow and one in kenmore.....spicy affair. On a side note, a big thankyou to the staff last night when we were there. My old man has an artificial leg. He'd lost his balance on the steps going to the back of the restaurant and ended up with a laceration on the back of his head after he hit a chair when he slipped over. The staff were there helping put pressure on the wound and waiting out the front for the ambulance. They were really level headed about it and didnt rush us out while waiting for help to arrive. The 10 star option isn't available so I could only give 5 stars sorry. Thanks again Spicy affair.
