Review Limon Turkish And Mediterranean Cuisine - Brisbane

Read everyone’s review before you check in. I actually bought my food through uber and thought I’d see if they’d give more than they give in restaurants. I didn’t think I’d receive a small portion for what I paid for. A skinny slice Moussake (2cm wide) covered with tomato sauce with two piece bread underneath and a small salad with lots of red onion/beetroot. And the cheesecake was small but very thick and it didn’t taste like cheesecake, it tasted/smelt something like plaster or glue. Wasted $39 + delivery & service fee… Dont recommend them

I enjoy coming to this Turkish restaurant. Their food is nice and I like the quiet environment. I can always enjoy a good time chatting with my wife leaving with a very full tummy. The service is good and friendly. It takes a long time for them to cook though, perhaps because they make everything fresh. Slightly pricey but it’s acceptable with voucher.

We had the best sisters night out here last night. Dinner was fantastic for sharing and the drinks menu was extensive. The waitresses were so lovely and attentive. Great atmosphere!

Staff were very friendly. Parking is available right in front of the restaurant. There is indoor and outdoor dining. The restaurant is also dog friendly meaning you can bring your pets with you as long as they are on a leash. We started off with Dip Platter for 2 and for mains we had the Limon Signature Mixed Grill for Two . Good serving but flavour wise it didn't really hit home. I had better. It was average. They had a dessert list but most of the dessert I was after weren't available. ⭐⭐

A bit disappointing... The place looks a bit rundown, which is a pity, cause the original decoration and atmosphere looks really nice. The portions size or quality doesn't make up for the price. We arrived around 8:30pm but they already started to close and pack up the place, turning off almost all the lights as we were eating. Kinda ruins the experience and made me feel uncomfortable, in a rush to finish my meal. The two main deserts of the menu were sold out. I had the fish, but it was small and the sauce was too buttery and not nice. My partner had a morrocan lamb but it was so tiny and tough... Both quite expensive for what they offered. The house white wine was the best I've ever had though, gotta give them that. But overall, I wouldn't come back.

Great service, amazing food ordered a few dishes to share for the table out of which mixed grill was an amazing choice as well as pistachio chicken was just amazing too. Luckily we went there on the day when there was belly dance performance as well so altogether it was a great experience and a dine out. It was cooked to perfection and staff was very friendly Went back recently and still the same quality and very friendly staff, ordered mixed platter for two and it was super good Would definitely go back for another round:)

I visited this place after the overwhelming reviews for the Turkish food it served. My expectations were disturbed a lot after coming here. First of all the lights in the restaurant felt very dim . There was no ambience at all at this place. The most important factor for this rating is the service. The staff was very rude and unfriendly. We were not provided plates even after the mains were served and we had to ask them for it. The food though was really fresh tasty but was very over priced for the dishesh they served. I would not recommend this place if you care about hospitality and would not recommend for individual or students. Good for family and groups.

This place is quite popular, always packed on weekend with live belly dancing. The shop is old school and feel a bit tight when it's full. Their food is not as good as their price tag I think, easily 30-40 per person. And you don't get the same amount/quality for the same food.

From our first dealings with this family run restaurant right through to being welcomed in & seated to having our orders taken, the attentive staff & owner looked after us like honoured guests! We were given the choice of still or sparkling water straight up & thenour beverage order came out quick smart followed by our entrees! The lovely wait staff must have been keeping an eye on us because they gave us a sufficient time & our mains came out, much to our delight! The pistachio chicken that I had was perfectly cooked & presented as was my husband's pepper steak! The meals were very flavoursome & were seriously amazing! We were a little sad to not be able to sample any of the great sounding desserts because we were so full just from entrees & mains. Have decided next time just to share one entree Ro leave room to sample dessert!! You have definitely won us over & we have found our go to place for our date nights! Thank you everyone at Limon!!

I would highly recommend it to a anyone who wants a nice night out. The food was great, the staff were wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a good place to go to celebrate with friends.

This place is very humble in its decor, however the awesome hospitality and quality of your food is amazing. Our family were celebrating my milestone birthday tonight and you have made it very special.Thank you so much for your hospitality.Have to say I'd rate your food equivalent of a fine dining experience. We will certainly dine here again.

The food was so flavorsome and came in generous servings, the atmosphere was warm and cozy, the service - amazing! We celebrated a birthday there tonight and the staff was attentive and thoughtful even though they were busy - they made us feel like valued customers! We had the best time and will definitely be back!

The food is something to die for, very flavorful, delicious and yummy, I definitely recommend anyone coming here

A must try people... Food was tasty, plentiful I shared a mixed grill for two and we couldn’t finish it, but me being me had to get pudding to which was Devine
Derin Brisb
Terrible the food was extremly salty and so expensive. Would never recommend it

We’ve been to so many Turkish/Mediterranean restaurants in NSW and QLD and THIS is by far the best food I’ve ever had so so impressed!! Can’t wait to eat here again!

We had a delightful dinner and were surprised at the superb quality of all meals from entree to dessert. The home made dips and Turkish bread were outstanding and the request for extra bread was well attended For mains we had the outstanding barramundi and the Moroccan lamb backstrap Even the respective accompanying rice and cous cous were exceptionally good. Only slight negative was some desserts were a little overpriced for the serving. Additional to the delightful food which is all home made with great preparation and presentation was the outstanding service by very friendly staff. A 5 out of 5 experience which surprised us nicely
Fiona Thomas
Enjoyed every bite of all our very delicious meals. Each & every one of us at our table of 5 adults & 1 toddler. With good company & friendly staff, a great night was had by all. We will definitely have to dine there again
Jodi Landers-Glasson
The wait for food was quite lengthy, although it was worth the wait! The staff were lovely and friendly

The food is spectacular, as is the service. I love this place and am now a regular!!!

Very good, nice place, nice people, nice food. Very cosy. Have returned and will again.

My family and I came to this incredible little restaurant for dinner tonight to celebrate my aunt's birthday. I cannot fault ANYTHING. The atmosphere was on point with the very clever and charming belly dancer, the service was second to none with the staff not over-crowding us and genuinely seeming happy to be there, and THE FOOD!?!? Oh my goodness. - I had the linguine marinara. This dish is usually more miss than hit, and even when it's a hit, the seafood is still a little overdone... Well not in this case. Everything was perfect. Everything was exquisite. We will definitely be back. Thank you for having us!!
Dina
Ok, I think the food is pretty okay. I would rate it 3.5-4. But my partner who knows the authentic taste beg to differ. He thinks the food are too heavy, lots and lots of cheese. I ordered a lamb stew. It’s a bit too sour.
Debbie
The staff service was very accommodating. We asked for a change to our drink to make it sweeter and they were happy to do so. Staff were very friendly. <br/>We had the entree special of the night which was very tasty. Loved the sultan chicken possibly one of the tastiest sauces we have tried. Also loved the lemon creme brûlée. <br/>Will definitely be coming back. So glad to have this restaurant in our area.
Sinan
Okish Turkish food. Not sure what the big fuss is about. Most of their grills are not authentic at all. Lamb tikka should never be cooked medium its not a steak and kebab lacked flavour and fat
Grounded Gourmet Globe-Trotter
I’ve been here plenty of times since it’s my colleagues fav dinner spot. She’s got quite a few dietary requirements and this place seems to cater to all of them with their amazing variety. My go to order is their mixed grilled platter to share! Also a great dessert I enjoy is the Turkish delight creme brûlée. Make sure you pre order the dessert in advance. The staff is always friendly and love the ambience.

I had not been here for over a year and a half. I can not remember why.... I popped In for dinner after Sabbath had finished, I was welcomed by a friendly owner and waitress, I commented on there not being too many vegetarian dishes, but the owner had a plan in place to fix this. It was a great plan. <br/>I ordered the Mezze Platter , from the vegetarian menu. It was a selection of various Turkish, salads, grilled vegestables, marinated olives, house made Turkish bread, dips, falafels and stuffed vine leaves. <br/>The chef and waitress were very helpful with my no dairy requirements and very accommodating. <br/>The soy chai latte was also delicious. <br/>I'll be back for a feed. <br/>With such a Warm, cosy and welcoming restaurant. I'd be a fool not to. SARDS.

medial quality food, terrible waitress , i would give 0 star of there is an option.<br/>paid $80 for 2 dessert + 1 entree + 1 main, kiwi looking waitress is terrible in customer service, asking you every 5mins to rush you to order more food so you cannot have a chat with you friend, then start packing everything around you loudly to "kick" you out at 7:30pm because there was no other customer there, so can close.<br/>treat customer like dirt. no respect at all. no wonder there was no other customer at 7:30<br/>people who comment not specifically would be their family friends

Lamb cutlets and chicken tagine both were to die for. Amazing atmosphere and great location. A big shout out for the turkish girl who served us, excellent hospitality and sheer professionalism . Good value for money. Will definitely come back soon with more friends!

Delicious food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Was very busy when we went there on a Sat night. Plenty of generous servings. Aromas spilled from the kitchen. Nice to see a little middle eastern restaurant out in the burbs.
Kelly Tran
Great food and vibe! We had the Harissa Bread (🌶🌶!!), Grilled Halloumi and then Mixed Grill. Portion size is pretty good, the Halloumi was small though. There was also a Belly Dancer (we went on a sat night)!<br/>The service was a little over-attentive and it was a bit hard to find parking in front of the restaurant, so we just parked across the road.

Took the family for dinner on Saturday night. Food was very good and serving sizes were generous. Shared dips were all great - baba ganoush was the stand out favourite. Of the mains, Chicken Tangine, Fish tangine, Mousakka and Mixed Grill were delicious, Lamb shish was a little dry but still tasty. Enjoyed the Turkish Coffee, and Apple Tea served with small pieces of Turkish Delight - only issue was that we had eaten so much of the entree and mains we could not fit in dessert - but we will go back to try them. The belly dancer was good fun - engaging patrons in the dance added extra enjoyment. Parking is not so great outside but it is possible to park in the shopping strip next to the restaurant.<br/>The service was attentive and requests for takeaway containers was no problem.
Trish
Normally the food is really good, and reasonable portion size. We ordered take away, and the portion size was a fair bit smaller for the pistachio chicken then we have ordered before. There were alot less vegetables and sauce. Normally you get whole pistachio in the sauce but this time there were none. We were very disappointed by this meal considering we pay $28 for it.

Everytime I bring ppl here they really enjoy the food.<br/>I've had the mixed grill but today we had entrees harissa wings, dips and chicken penne. Dessert was kunefe. I had heard a lot about khafeh (especially from Sydney foodies) which is similar but type of cheese differs depending on which region in the Middle East. First trying it, very sweet and nice cheesy texture.<br/><br/>The service was generally attentive even though at times it was busy feeling on a Sunday night.<br/><br/>It may be hard to find parking outside but you can just park in the adjacent shops parking area.

Had dinner at this restaurant last night with Entertainment card offer. Service was very friendly and we took the advice from the lovely waitress to have their daily special entrees of Lamb Ribs and Eggplant. The former was perfectly done with very strong lamb flavour that matched well with the beetroot puree. The eggplant was also deliciously matching our taste buds, perfect! When our share platter of mixed grills was presented on the table, we were shock with the generous portions of grilled chicken thigh, lamb cutlets and lamb pieces with lots of dips and breads. We did try our best to enjoy as much as we could, however, there were still two take-away containers to accommodate what left over. What a happy dinning experience, we definitely will visit it again!
Dorothy
Very good efficient service. Tasty food with ample servings. Dips and bread highly recommended. Turkish beer delightful. Mains on the expensive side for the situation and ambience. We will go again soon and sample all the entrees instead of having mains.

Been here a number of times now and it totally bets Ahmets! The food is amazing, very well cooked, the meat is always tender and sauces soo delicious. There is a great atmosphere to the restaurant, with a belly dancer on a number of occasions. They staff are super friendly, the only thing I don't like is the constant interruptions from the waiters asking how the food is. One of my favourite restaurants around Brisbane!

My boyfriend and I had dinner at Limon last night and absolutely loved our meal! We ordered the Hummus dip and a garlic and cheese bread and some calamari to share for an entree. The calamari was perfect and the hummus dip and bread was so delicious, I don't know what extra they put in the dip but it was fantastic. I ordered the Moussaka for a main and my boyfriend had the mixed grill, again the food was wonderful the meat was cooked to perfection and the rice with the meal was delicious. My moussaka was very yummy but the mixed grill was the winner. We have decided that we would prefer to go to Limon instead of Ahmets in Southbank to save the drive and to have a wonderful Turkish meal. The food can be a little pricey when you are not just having one meal, but the food is certainly worth the price. The staff were very friendly and gave great descriptions of the food and drinks- the waitress suggested I try the Turkish style lemonade which tasted like a mixed berry sprinkling soda and I am so glad I did because it is now my favourite soda. Limon we will be back very soon!

Food here was okay. The lamb that I ordered was slightly over cooked and tough which was leaning towards the bland side in terms of seasoning. The sauce was creamy but also a bit bland. Recommend the mixed grill which serves a bit of everything.

Delicious! Loved the chicken in the pot thing and prices are reasonable. Definitely would recommend trying this place. Only downside is the lighting is a bit harsh in places.

NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN.!!?<br/><br/>We went there to celebrate my husband's birthday, with my sister and her husband so it was 4 adults. My husband was not feeling well, His tummy was upset so we just ordered 2 mixed grill ,1 chicken pistachio both main meals and 2 entrees ( chicken wing and dips platter) , it was late dinner so 2 kids ( 2 yo and 12 yo) already had their dinner at home.we have entertainment book and want to redeem 25% disc up to $35 value. The staff wont accept it because everyone didnt order main meal.how ridiculous is that. The portion was so big . it doesnt say on the entertainment book that we must have main meal for each person in order to redeem the discount. Restaurant offering discount thru entertainment book because they want to promote their business. But with the service like this definetely customer wont come back.

Without a doubt, Limon is my local. More so than Seoul Bistro was due to its proximity with my home. Just a quick nip down the road for a place where we will always have a table, an excellent feed for a cheap price and where everyone we bought has had a good time. I have probably been here about six times, most of which I have stopped taking photos because I end up ordering this same thing. I've also tried nearly everything on their menu. The only thing I don't like about the place is parking is limited.
The Quiet Critic
The food was fresh & tasty. However, quite expensive for what you get. Nearly $80 for 2 people. There are many other Turkish restaurants selling similar food for much less.

We went on Friday night in a group of four. We ordered bread and an entree to start. The bread was average. The entree very good. Then our main meals came out. They were all very good. All four of us were pleased with our choice. <br/>The staff were helpful and attentive. We talked with the owner when we paid and he was most helpful and gave us plenty of helpful information. <br/>We will be back.
Eric Mills
We were amazed with the fantastic food served by the friendliest staff. The harissa bread, crispy calamari, mains of Adana shish and Sultans Chicken just the tastiest we've ever eaten. Kicking ourselves for not visiting Limon sooner. Look forward to a Saturday night visit very soon. Special thanks to the two waitreses who made the night so memorable.

My favourite middle eastern restaurant in south Brisbane, nice atmosphere, excellent service and most importantly all the dishes I've had there always had a well balanced flavour, meat dishes are tender and omg the mix platter is worth the money you pay for it! Very authentic , everytime I've been there, I've been well looked after :) thanks Limon!!!
Foodgirl
What a charming restaurant! Good, prompt service and well cooked, flavourful meat. The mixed grilled is everything you would want and the portion was very generous as well.

Been here twice now and each time the experience has been most enjoyable. We celebrated a birthday dinner on a Saturday night with a big group, the restaurant was pretty busy but service was efficient and most pleasurable as always. Whatever food we ordered came out within a very reasonable amount of time and everything was fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere was very inviting as well , we were even surprised by a belly dancer. Since the friendly waitresses asked if we were celebrating any special occasions they even supplied a happy birthday Turkish delight surprise. Overall this place is awesome, food is amazing and service is always wonderful

I am looking forward to going back so I can try more of their menu. Calamari was fantastic so garlic and herby. Excellent curry fish. The chair was uncomfortable. I wanted Turkish coffee but they were too busy. Definitely going back again soon . Thank you. 😄🌻

Hooray! Finally somewhere else decent to eat around the Springwood/underwood area. Ordered takeaway last night with my husband. We ordered garlic and herb bread, Harissa chicken wings with blue cheese dipping sauce and lamb Shish kepap (this was lamb, salad, almond rice and bread). When we called to order we were asked how we like our lamb. We said medium and it was perfect - tender and pink in the middle. The chicken wings were also cooked well - not dripping in fat. Flavors were beautiful. Will be back. (The photo attached is the takeaway food on a plate at home- not how the restaurant would present it I'm sure)

Great food and great service! Will be back. The dips and the trading all plates were outstanding. <br/><br/><br/><br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/>

A rainy Saturday night at around 6.30pm, Limons was already bustling. Our waitress was absolutely lovely and went to the effort of recommending certain dishes, explaining the flavours and just being all round awesome! Problem: took about 45 minutes for the food to arrive and a further 15 minutes if we wanted it to arrive together.. So maybe 1 hour for all our mains. Service was just too slow. Food: yes it was delicious- but was it delicious enough for me to forget the wait time? Probably not. As an avid foodie I have not waited that long for dinner to arrive.
Cheryl
Everything we have ordered is very fresh n tasty, the Moroccan lamb steak is so juicy , I don't normally order lamb steak and this is absolutely yummy!! Staff are too friendly and very helpful introducing the menu to us .
The Pretend Foodie
Legendary! Some of the best Turkish food out! I have dined here countless times with family and friends and I can't fault it! The service from the waitresses is always fantastic! The food! Oh the food! Just try everything! Delicious authentic taste, quality ingredients and great portion sizes!
Theitalianfoodie
The best Turkish I have been to! Visited this place three times now and cannot fault. Once on a Thursday night which was quiet, but the experience was still delightful and two times on a a Saturday. If you are looking for a real middle eastern vibe define go on a Saturday As they have belly dancers. They provide very generous servings of food and it is very tasty. I would recommend the dips to start as they are authentic and it just oozes flavour and the meat has a delicious charcoal flavour. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Cannot wait to return

So delicious. Can't fault it. The service was wonderful as well. Went there for the first time with one of my gfs, ordered the pistachio chicken and it was absolutely amazing. The pistachio sauce went perfectly with the chicken. Went there for the second time with my bf and still couldn't fault it. Ordered the chargrilled chicken kebab dish and it was so good. The chicken was tender and smoked to perfection. The pilaf rice was nice and fluffy and had the perfect sweetness to it. The bread that came with the dish had this nice sweetness to it that accompanied the chicken kebabs very well. My bf ordered the lamb from the chargrilled menu and he said he really enjoyed it too. Will definitely be back for more! Best Turkish place I have tried! The only bleh part was the Turkish drinks that wasn't anything special but that's just being picky because the dishes are amazing.

All I want to say is:"Thank god for letting me to eat sooo delicious food, it was art!" First time come here, and definitely will be back again. Only thing is my tummy is too small and I can't have them all
The Invisible Food Critic
Been here many times and this is one of the best Turkish Restaurant I have tasted so far in Brisbane. Authentic dishes packed with flavors and never I had been disappointed with service nor food quality. Love each dish, and love the atmosphere here in a small hidden area of springwood.

Customer service was awesome! Jasmine really took care of us tonight. All the staff were exceptional. Food was great! We all enjoyed and had a good night out.

Was surprised at how good this place was! I ordered the Moroccan lamb and it just melted in my mouth! Perfectly cooked and had beautiful flavours. Service was on point. If you're shy, watch out for the belly dancer she might ask you to join her! Lol.

Delicious! Really tasty food so nicely presented. Friendly caring staff. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend pistachio chicken and baklava!<br/>

Amazing food!  Super delicious.  We will be adding this to our must visit regularly list!  Very friendly staff and meals were quite quick to come out even though the restaurant was full.

GREAT QUALITY BUT DON'T DO THE BANQUET. We dined at Limon with a group of 15 in January. It was recommended by a friend. We were the only group and one other couple dining. The atmosphere is authentic and relaxing. The food was superb. We asked and were swayed to have a banquet at a cost of $35 per head. It was a special occasion and what was described in the banquet sounded delicious - a variety of each dish. The food was delicious but the quantity was ridiculously short for our group. There was enough food supplied for 8 people. We were told we would need to pay extra for more dishes. In the end they bought out another platter so the males in the group were not left hungry. I would definitely return for a meal as the quality was great - I just recommend DO NOT order a banquet.
Johnviv3
Excellent. Best Turkish Restaurant in Brisbane. Food was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent. Can't wait to go back.

Possibly the best Mediterranean restaurants in Logan. Tried mixed grill and spicy kofte. This was an unexpected visit for us and it turned out amazing! Loved both dishes! Nice staff too! Well done!
Deborah.case
Rude with a side of bad service. We came before 4 tables and one other table even had an entree and main before we asked where our food was. They then tried to lie to our face about the situation as if we did not pay attention to people around us. When we walked out the manager came out the front and yelled at us to not come back. Don't worry, we won't! And we recommend no one else go either.
Stephanie.harris94
Amazing. Where do I start haha the food was excellent lots of variety which is good cause my partner is fussy and the customer service was great felt so welcomed and like they actually cared about your dining experience even the owner asked if everything was good. They also have belly dancing for entertainment couldn't ask for a better experience. Definitely coming back and trying some dessert next time.

An absolute gem in Logan! We ordered take away and everything was delicious! It is difficult to find places in Logan that serve quality food! Definitely will be a new regular for us! :-)

Great food at a great price. We had a group booking for 12 and all had a lovely evening. The food was great and at a reasonable price and we didn't have to wait long for our meals. The servings for the entrees and the mains were very filling. The two girls that served us during the night were friendly and accommodating. We will be returning here in the future. Just note that it's one bill er table and we were not able to split the bill which can be a bit chaotic with a group besides this we enjoyed our evening and our food!
Ame
Best service I've had and best meal I've had in a long time. Staff were attentive and kept asking about how our meals were and if we wanted drinks. Was very impressed.

Stingy on takeaway. I had takeaway from here this is apparently $4.00 worth of chips. Not happy!

Great Food, Great Service. We had a great time here. The food was all great, I ordered Lamb Shish Kebap (the lamb was tender and tasty, the rice was perfectly cooked, the cacik sauce is to die for, and the salad was fresh), my daughter ordered Marrocan Lamb kebap (she said it was delicious and she loved it) and my husband ordered Chicken Shish kebap and he too loved it. The girl who waited on us, Jasmin, was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Will certainly be back for more. Good job guys.

Lucious Limon. We ended up here by accident - we had sought out another turkish place in Upper Mt Gravatt that was highly recommended on Urbanspoon, only to find it closed - and up for Lease! So we were at a bit of a loose end ... we don't often eat Turkish ... but had that tickling our tastebuds so the hunt was on for something else in the general vicinity. We were heading to yet another place when we passed Limon and it tickled something in my brain about having seen good ratings for it on US, so that's where we ended up and thank god we did.<br/><br/>Okay so first it's in a very small little set of shops on Logan Road - but it looks inviting enough (even if your outlook is the carpark should you choose to sit outside as we did - still with the "grapevines" hanging from the eaves, you can shut your eyes and almost imagine you are somewhere on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean - yes I have a good imagination)! Anyway the place is inviting and the fit out is nice and there is, of course, the ubiquitous belly dancer to throw in a bit of ambience.<br/><br/>None of this is actually needed as the food and service speaks volumes. We were sat quickly with menu's and water straight to our table and an offer of drinks while we decided - we both went with cider. This was at our table in good time and our order taken. So far so good. The menu sounded great - as did that night's specials - and we had a bit of trouble deciding but ended up sharing the dip platter to start and some stuffed vine leaves (can't remember what they are called as opposed to the greek Dolmades) ... anyway the dips were great, with such a generous serve of bread (I hate it when you get a miniscule amount of bread with your dips - drives me crazy) and the offer of more bread if we needed it. And the vine leaves were just yum!!!<br/><br/>For mains I went with the Sultan Chicken and hubby had the lamb. Totally delicous - both dishes, I did pinch some of his - my chicken was perfectly cooked through yet still tender with an amazing sauce loaded with sultanas and flaked almonds on a bed of the best pilaf I've ever eaten - a very generous serve too that I almost couldn't finish. Hubby had the lamb and it was perfect - cooked medium as he requested (although he said next time he would go med-rare) and with the most wonderfully complex mustard sauce served on a bed of cous cous. It was divine. My only disappointment was desert as I had spied the signature desert (Kunufe - which I had to google) and it sounded fantastic - upon ordering we were told they had run out. I'm not much of a desert person and often when I do decide to order desert they don't have the one thing I actually want ... bummer ... however I decided on sharing the baklava and it was amazing - best I've eaten since the one my first serious boyfriend's (who was Greek) mother used to make - 30 years ago!!! Along with a couple of excellent turkish coffees, we thoroughly enjoyed the entire meal.<br/><br/>The service throughout was fabulous - attentive but not intrusive ... just how I like it. In all I was hugely surprised about the whole experience for a suburban restaurant not exactly on Brisbane's dining radar. We will absolutely be back as there is a lot yet to try on that menu and knowing how well it is cooked (with true love) I can't wait.

High hopes..... crash n burn. Sooooo we arrived at the restaurant and greeted very well, not long after they took our order, now just waiting...... And the entree' arrived within minutes..... Great tasting dips and bread however the hummus was Abit bland.<br/>Mains arrived.. <br/>chicken parmagana,, cold through out no taste<br/>vegetarian mezza plate....... vine rolls hard as rock (uneatable) very dry tasted like old sushi ..<br/>the interior was very nice but the food was very disgusting.<br/>If I wanted frozen food I would of stayed home and the price was very steep .

Consistently delicious food. We have been here weekly for the last 6 weeks (to work our way through the menu as it looked great!) and each time the meals were consistently delicious. Good flavours, good portion size, good value for money and good service. Sometimes the wait staff can get distracted with the busyness of the place, but with such well cooked Mediterranean food, a little wait is ok. Although licenced, a BYO option would be nice.

Great food and friendly staff. First impressions <br/>Resturantly parking is shared with another resturant and was fairly full but still got a park. De core was pleasant and authentic looking.<br/><br/>Seating<br/>Promptly seated and offered menus, wasnt to fond of being seated next to the sliding door as it was a fairly cold night and we were constantly listening to people open and close the door. <br/><br/>Menu<br/>We were advised that some menu items were not available but really it was only a few out of a heap to pick from, so not really an issue (at least they told us up front).<br/><br/>the staff were very friendly and knew their stuff, in fact i'd have to say I've not met such nice staff in a long time.<br/><br/>Pricing<br/>Everything was very reasonably priced especially considering the quality of the food.<br/><br/>Food<br/>The food came out in a timely manner, and it looked fantastic and tasted great. I had the mixed grill (all great but not really a fan of the steak), also had the vegetarian pasta (not sure of the name sorry) this was also top notch and very tasty, unlike so many other pasta resturants these days *cough*....fasta pasta ( what a let down that place is). <br/><br/>Overall<br/>8/10<br/>Some minor things to change but overall would happily visit this restaurant again. Would also like to say thank you for the free turkish delight, it was delicious!

Authentic and very yummy. Visited the Underwood restaurant last night (3/9/14 and )It felt like the people cooking this food have grown up eating Turkish food. The service is really good. The food is fresh, all of the meat is cooked to perfection. Build up an appetite before hand because the serving sizes are big. Try the dips platter and Harissa chicken wings for entree.

I now live locally and had heard wonderful things about this restaurant.....they are all true.<br/><br/>Mr FH and I went one night just dropped in on a whim where I had a beautiful lentil soup. Mr FH had the pistachio chicken everything was wonderful. I wondered would I get the same amazing service twice in a row???<br/>I most certainly did this place is now has a permanent part in my favourite restaurant list not only because the food is just superb but just as important to me the staff are 5 star all the way. We had this wonderful girl who has served us both time with a complete knowledge of the food and OMG STOP THE PRESS she actually eats there knowing intimately how the food tastes. That girl is amazing.<br/>Then we have the owner who trained back home in NZ and invented/tweeted all of the dishes. He makes us feel like family and I was so impressed when after Mr FH paid the bill he shook his hand as is the custom possibly from where he's from and unfortunately one we have lost here.<br/><br/>We both love this place on the FH scale it's simply a 5 out of 5 for us - <br/>Bon Appetite

Worse service ever!!! The service was that bad it made the night depressing. The head waiter even apologised while we were paying the bill, blaming it on being busy even tho it started getting busy after we got our mains. The food was good, but not enough to make us come back.

YUMMY :). A few weeks ago, I went to Limon upon recommendation from a close friend. When walking through the front door I immediately felt like I had walked into Turkey! The Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern theme was interesting and well represented. My partner and I were surprised to see how many people were in the restaurant considering it’s a relatively hidden location. We ordered the dip platter as an entrée and for mains he had the Mixed Grill and I had the Fish Tagine. I can honestly say I have never tasted anything like it. My partner and I have had some pretty bad dates because of food and we both strongly agree that Limon Restaurant will be our first thought when planning date nights. The food was delightful, cooked in such a way that we could taste a perfect balance between the wonderful mixes of flavours. The night all up was one of the most affordable nights out with the prices being very good for the quality and amount of food received. The wonderful meal was accompanied by lovely waitress, who provided excellent customer service throughout the evening. Over all, I would definitely suggest Limon to anyone who wants to enjoy a nice, relaxing dinner out.

Authentic Turkish Food with a bit of twist!. We dined in last week. My fiance is a typical Turkish man and I have been to Turkey twice. We have tasted home cooked, fine dining, and street food in Turkey. We had Moussaka and mixed grilled that night and they are utterly enjoyable. Portions are huge and meat are well-seasoned. Service is excellent. The waitstaff was constantly checking if everything is okay. We ended the night with a complimentary dessert from the owner of the restaurant. If you have not tried Authentic Turkish food, we would strongly recommend this one!

Great restaurant and family friendly.. I had heard about Limon from a couple of friends and took my family there last week for dinner and was very glad. The interior of the place looks really fantastic and the staff was very friendly. We ordered the bread and dips first which came out fast and was great. My wife got the Adana and I ordered a mixed grill and the meats were absolutely delicious as was the rice/salad. For dessert, we had the creme brulee which in itself was on another level. Great restaurant, recommended for everyone! They have a new regular now.

Absolutely loved it!. I was there last Saturday (16th of August) and I must say that I loved it. The inside decor was really beautiful and the restaurant was full with customers. Even in the busy time the foods came out quite fast and they were delicious. I ordered the lamb cutlets which were really amazing and bread/dips for the entree which was great too. All round it was a great experience, with beautiful food, service and atmosphere. 10/10 from me. I will surely be back again!

Do not go!!. Very average tasteless overprice second time I've been there and it was just as bad the second time... Service was ok... But seriously don't waste your time

Some what let down by the service. My husband and myself hardly go out but tonight was the exemption we celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary ! I done the right thing of finding the restaurant address and e-mail address , I e-mail them in regards of the booking tonight for 6 pm and as I ask them to ring us back to confirm the booking of which they did this morning .<br/>We show up on time 6 pm sharp as we walk in the counter my husband told the girl we have a booking and waiting for her to take us to our table as you do but instead she just casually say you can sit where ever you want!<br/>Anyway here is my take of running a restaurant :<br/>Greet the customer with the biggest smile and welcome them <br/>Established if they book or not still take them to their table with menus and address or ask customers name and introduced yourself to them <br/>Take their order promptly at the same time multi task look around you if empty plate ready to clear out then do it <br/>Follow up customer needs all the time<br/>Remember first impression is very important to the owner of Limon you have responsibility to have a quick talk in regards of service before your staff start <br/>My experience tonight dining out was dissapointing the food is alright the ambience of restaurant is nice but could use some heater ! it's cold inside .<br/>But most of all Customer Service it's our first dining out so give me a reason to come back and by my whole family experience tonight I don't think so .

Never coming back. We came in for breakfast today and waited about 15 mins to order our coffees and breakfast.. We were told there would be a wait as a big table was there, which we could accept. We did however say if they could just make sure we had our coffees whilst we waited then that would be ok... Another half an hour went and still no food or even a coffee... I went and asked if we could please have our coffees soon.. I was looked at as if I was saying something foreign.. Another 20mins passed... Still nothing... We walked out.. You may care about business from a big table, but don't forget your smaller cliental, we have been coming to you since you opened and have brought you many many customers... You have now lost us and our friends... Very disappointing.. You need someone that can organise your waiters... Your female staff member was walking around aimlessly she could have been making our coffees...

Staff were friendly and very accommodating for my dietary requirements. Lovely environment. Overall a good experience!

Delicious food! The staff were very friendly and the whole atmosphere was great. Some of the best mediterranean food I've tasted! I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Best Mediterranean In Brisbane. After many favourable recommendations my family went to Limon on Mother's Day for dinner. We have been to many Mediterranean and Turkish restaurants around Brisbane in the last few years and this place in my opinion is by far the best. Despite being hidden on an obscure corner of Logan Road Limon to me felt like it belonged at Bulimba or West End. They have done an excellent job of creating a warm Mediterranean feel, and the location was perfect for us as we came from only 5 minutes away. I had the Limon Style Istanbul Kebab and it was amazing. I also looked on enviously as my cousin and brother were served the Moroccan Lamb, and have sworn to myself that I will be going back there soon with my girlfriend to try it. <br/>If you live on the south side and want somewhere excellent away from the usual busy dining precincts than I highly recommend you give Limon a try.

Amazing! Time and time again Limon never fails to impress. Tonight we celebrated my boyfriends birthday and had bread, entrees, mains, wine, dessert and coffee. ALL of it was superb. Full of flavour and perfectly cooked. Not only is the food incredible but the service is next level. Friendly, informative and personable. We are so lucky to have such a quality restaraunt so close to home!

A Carnivore's Delight. Went to Limon for the second time with a group of friends on Saturday 23rd March.<br/><br/>Once again the food was delicious, the 'Four Dips' is excellent, the lamb perfectly cooked, and the Crème Brulee was "to die for" according to Herself.<br/><br/>Unfortunately the service for both food and drinks, was patchy and slow which is a shame, as it takes the gloss off a good restaurant with excellent food.

Mediocre service. Had the lamb cutlets, lamb koffte, ish kebab...orders did not come out together...cutlets were small but good, koffte good too much salt, kebab dry... cost $70 dinning experience ok wouldn't go again try somewhere else.

Love it!. There are hardly any good restaurants in the underwood-springwood area. So we are quite thrilled to have found this gem of a place. The dips are lovely, served with toasted turkish bread. Loved the special of the night moroccan tagine. My husband too loved his moroccan lamb. He is a hard one to please when it comes to meat...so that is a big compliment. It was very tender. Our 2 year old toddler was made to feel very welcome with crayons and a colouring paper. <br/>In short food wise i would put limon in the same category as Ahmets in the city. Just missing the belly dancer ;-)

Very friendly staff, and the food was absolutely delicious!! <br/>Will definitely come back. :)

Yum, loved it!. We probably dine out regularly two-three times a week and Limon is now one of our favourites. Last time dining we had antipasto (seving for 4 really means a serving for 4!) followed by Inegol Kofte - great chargrilled and mediterranean spiced flavours. Prices were very reasonable for the portions. No room for dessert...<br/>RoseGeorge

Food fantastic - Service beautiful. My son and I went to Limon on Friday the 15/11 and the service and food were both amazing.<br/><br/>My son had the Lamb cutlets and I had the Moroccan Lamb. The staff were extremely friendly and my son actually gave one of them a $20 tip out of his own pocket money because "she was really helpful"<br/><br/>Will definitely be back!

50/50 A Little Disappointed. The food was good, the belly dancing OK if that's what you want with dinner (though the music was so loud conversation was close to impossible whilst the dancing was happening) and the restaurant itself was very nicely decorated with rather mixed Mediterranean/Middle Eastern themes. The service, when you could get any, was friendly if a tad unprofessional (leaning across the face of a diner who is eating to serve the other diner at the table isn't good form). Trying to get service towards the end of the evening wasn't the easiest as the staff made a point of looking everywhere except towards the diners. Special requests were all but ignored. My dinner partner has an allergy to onions and we were assured her meal would be onion free so she was surprised (!) to find lots on onion in her salad which she didn't notice until she had started on it as it was mostly at the bottom - luckily she only consumed enough onion to make her mildly unwell later. When the onion was pointed out to the staff we were told that "a different chef prepares the salads" so the message must have not got to him. This is a small restaurant so communication shouldn't be a major problem. No attempt to rectify the problem was made. I understand things go wrong sometimes but even after the onion issue it was almost impossible to get anyone's eye for very long periods and I had to go to the cash register to get anyone interested in selling us desserts (which were, eventually, very nice - loved the baklava). A bit of effort and this would be very nice,

Authentic. Great service and yumm delights. Mixed grill if you cant decide it was so tender. Was so good I went two weeks in a row..

A little slice of Turkey in Brisbane. Well, where to start. The staff was friendly and attentive. The owner served us himself and was happy to talk with us and tell us stories of his trips to Turkey, and even give us a brief education on the history and stories behind Turkish Coffee. A+ on smiles, service and friendliness in a great atmosphere.<br/> The setting, The little minaret shaped lampshades and the wonderful Turkish patterned linen do tend to transport you to a different place. It is well set out and not cramped, you don't have to fear bumping into other diners here. Again A+<br/> And the real reason one would come here, The food. Well it is the tastiest freshest best restaurant food I have had in a very long time. Cooked to perfection by a genius in a kitchen. <br/> Prices are understated. This is REAL value for your dining dollar.<br/> Would I return? Yes and I am bringing friends with me too. If you haven't already been here then you are missing out on something truly wonderful.

Went there tonight with my husband and all courses were delicious. Very nicely spiced and well cooked. The atmosphere was relaxing and authentic with excellent and friendly service.

Left a bad taste in my mouth. The staff are great but the rude disrespectful owner is another story! <br/><br/>I recommend that if you are after better service then you should go to the closest maccas. <br/><br/>Food is over priced for what you get.

Hmm dip is indeed a food group. Went on a voucher but will definitely be going back! The dips were beautiful, not enough bread provided to eat the dip with, so had to get more, worth it though, the bread was amazing too. Main meals were all very generous and cooked beautifully. Great flavours, can't wait to go back. Have to leave room for dessert next time.

Perfection. Best dinning experience since moving to Brisbane 2 years ago. I have found that the options of good and different food hard to find here compared to other major states. But when we stumble onto this little gem I was blown away by the warm and friendly welcome only to be equaled by the very authentic and delicious Turkish food! Right down to the best Turkish coffee I have EVER had not even slightly burnt! 5 stars !!! Warm welcoming and wonderful!

My partner and I went there with the Living Social deal. Food was amazing, great portions and service was friendly. It was a good experience. Definitely give them a try!

AMAZING FOOD! We are visiting from Melbourne and stumbled across this gem! We ate here on two occasions and the food was sensational. Really generous serving sizes and friendly service. Try the chicken shish and mixed grill. Marinara pasta was also delicious. Sticky date pudding is 100% homemade and to die for!

One of my favorities. Always extremely happy with the food and service. Breakfast, lunch or dinner all amazing.

Sunday Breakfast. We are always on the hunt for good breakfast, with good coffee, ample serving and perfectly cooked poached eggs. Well we found all the above at Limon yesterday. Cant wait to come back for lunch and dinner. P/S: The grapes on the vine are a nice touch :)

Disappointment +++. Had a meal with friends last Saturday night and after really looking forward to some great food, I was really disappointed. I ordered the Moroccan Lamb Medium Rare and it arrived well done - when I spoke to the male waiter the response was "well you get that" and then " you probably got some one elses order" not at all professional in my books.I<br/>I then ordered Baked Cheese cake for desert - which turned out to be whipped Philly cheese which has never been baked.<br/>We arrived at 6.15 and ordered soon after to be told one of the main courses had run out - it was the same with 2 of the deserts.<br/>I and my group of 6 people will never go there again and will not recommend it.

Great Food, Great Value!. I had dinner here with my family and friends and I have got to say one word: WOW! Previously an Italian restaurant I was surprised with the new theme but the food was fantastic. I personally had the Moroccan Lamb and Creme Brulee and they were amazing. My friends also really enjoyed their pasta dishes. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. Great tasting Mediterranean food. Can't wait to go back!
Kat
Didn't hit the mark. Firstly this place really needs to fix it's decor - wow! Not quite sure what the theme is supposed to be but it ain't Turkish. As for the food - some good and some bad to be said. I loved the haloumi and the dips, some of the meats weren't too bad but they seemed to be lacking in spice and a couple of skewers were well overcooked. Probably won't be back.
Katarina
Terrible service. Unhelpful waitress. <br/>My family waited 1 hour 15 minutes for dinner and when asked for compensation it was denied- even though the waiter admitted there was a miscommunication in the kitchen. Won't be coming to Limon again .
Halil Karatas
Limon. Very good food and company. Will be there again soon.
Evan Green
I went there with high expectations, unfortunately I was disappointed. My main meal was too dry and tasteless, to the point that I spewed up on the way home. I won't recommend this place as there're better Turkish restaurants elsewhere.
Love Food
This place is the BUZZ. What a transformation from an Italian restaurant that was failing, to new owners who have changed the name and the theme, and this change is fantastic.<br/><br/>Food is very well priced. If you can find food this good for cheaper, youre doing well.<br/><br/>The food is absolutely cooked with brilliance. We have tried a few dishes and never a complaint.<br/><br/>Atmosphere and service is 10 out of 10. The whole family is involved in the running of Limon, and this gives it a freindly and happy feeling.<br/><br/>Go there feeling hungry and leave felling happy.
Fred
Yum! The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was great. We came here for dinner about two weeks ago, and it was a very generous serving of deliciousness. Just had breakfast there this morning (eggs bennies), and it was again a combo of great food and friendly service. We'll come back again ;)
Annmaree Theresa Harris
Food was lovely but a little pricey. Restaurant let itself down by having a 10yr old girl answer the phone when I rang and also serve us when we ate. Not impressive in that aspect.

Great food + service!. My partner and I had dinner at the new restaurant 'Limon' in Underwood last week. They have a great selection of food on the menu - all home-style Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. I had the lamb cutlets with mustard sauce and they were delicious! At $24.00 it was a very reasonable price. Yummy home-made dips and warm turkish bread were also a great starter.<br/>Top marks to all the friendly staff also!<br/>Will definitely be back!
