Relying on rave reviews of friends, I booked as a friend stepped off an international flight. Luckily, we booked early for dinner as Greenglass was quickly filled with obviously regular guests. Service, food and wine (a highly recommended pale pink Pinot Noir) were marvellous. Suggest:- take anyone with confidence. Definitely 5 Star!
Beautiful lunch!! The food was fresh, fast and delicious and the rustic attic feel of the restaurant is very charming.
This place is a must for lunch.
Great location, lovely food and excellent wine selection. The top notch service and concise menu are where the joint really shines. Thanks for a wonderful evening
What a lovely place! Really enjoyed our evening with wonderful food, great service and wine! Lots of wine.
Love the place! They housed me and my mates for my birthday and had exceptional service. Wines were delicious and food was just as complementary, but if I was being honest I would say the deconstructed lemon meringue tart was one of the most delicious deserts I have ever tried. Thanks again!
Faultless! Paired back but awesome menu (for great value), good service and excellent wine in unique venue. All the ingredients for a brilliant night! Will definitely be back and will recommend to others!
A busy Monday lunch service, and yet service nor quality was compromised. Beautiful space with a carefully considered wine and food selection - you've ticked my boxes. I'll be back.
What a great space to enjoy a glass of wine. Ever time I come in I get to experience some I never known before. Such a great venue.
Cauliflower & Potatoe soup is very tasty & refreshing. Medium rare eye fillet steak is excellent- melting in your mouth- with French fries and salad, it went very well with a glass of boutique wine offered by Greenglass. We enjoyed our lunch tremendously.
Best find in Brisbane and I’m always looked after. The space as well as the food is beautiful.
We had a dinner for 22 people at Greenglass on Friday night and the food, wine and service was outstanding. From the initial planning stages until the last guest left on the night everything was executed with professionalism and style. Thanks to you Brian and your wonderful team our event was a huge success. Merci
One of the best places to eat in Brisbane! I need to go back!!
Embarrassed to admit I spend most my lunches here- unbeatable value for such delicious and wonderfully balanced meals (...oh and I love the wine too, guilty!).
Thank you Oliver for excellent advice
Cheap eats in a stunning setting! Do it.
Beautiful space and lovely staff! Can’t wait to return. I had the gnocchi in many cheese bechamel sauce and pumpkin, it was amazing! 😍
We loved the ambience, the service and the food! Wonderful!
A great lunch from the same people who bring you Happy Boy (my fave place in Brisbane).
Great vibe in the room, can imagine it gets NOISY but we had a two at the window and it felt so Melbourne - heritage building, exposed brick, high ceilings, old wood floors.
Service prompt and really professional, allowed us a wine taste before ordering a bottle of reasonably priced very yummy gamay noir. Both order the steak, perfectly cooked and tender, nice rich dipping sauce/jus and salty fries. Really glad I went cheese for dessert, both the goat and the ... other one terrific, served with grapes, chutney, nuts and quality bread. So, didn't try much, but very satisfied.
Want to go back all the time but the restaurant is always full!
Went for dinner on a Friday night. Had the beef tartare for entrée and loved it. Main was the salmon and my partner had steak frites. Enjoyed our wine too! Will return.
Went for lunch today with three coworkers. Great service and food. I ordered the snails for a starter. The presentation was not as expected (in a snail dish) but they were well cooked and flavourful.
For main I had the prawns on saffron rice served in a bisque. It was good but the bisque was a bit too thin. The coworkers all enjoyed their generous meals.
The biggest drawback is the noise factor. The Greenglass main dining room is a large open space with absolutely no sound abatement. Even a few tapestries on the wall would help quiet the din. Maybe next time I'll bring my Bose QC25s.
All in all a good experience. Could have been a 5.0 but minus 1 for the noise. Two appetisers, four mains, three coffee, and one desert costs $120.
Really enjoyed the dining experience here. The entrance is quite subtle to the casual passerby, with the dark toned foyer pleasingly juxtaposed with a minimalist white dining area. Dishes were politely described with a hand held chalkboard. The place has a certain undiscovered vibe as the dishes i tried indicated that the thought and skill that accompanied the food preperation, comforting serving size and reasonable pricing exceeded the current zomato rating by a long way.
Small, dark, nondescript doors that lead to a staircase are generally mysterious in either an exciting or a foreboding kind of way. . Maybe it was all the black paint, or maybe it was because it was next to a topless bar (you know the one), but when I got to the entrance of Greenglass, I felt a little apprehensive.
With our rare opportunity to be working on the other end of town for a couple of days, I definitely took advantage of the situation and headed to Greenglass, which has long been on my list, but my extreme laziness had prevented me from walking across the city during the lunch hour. Going with Iron Fist, he was temporarily confused when I mentioned where I had intended to have our lunch, thinking that I had actually wanted to go the establishment next door instead ∑(O_O;). This misunderstanding was quickly addressed when I lead him up the dark stairs leading up to Greenglass.
I come here for lunch whenever I am in town (or if I am driving past and can get a park along Turbot/Herschel) and I love it. It's great value for the quality of food and a good place to go weekly as the menu changes. Have tried dinner once and got the steak - definitely recommend. YUM thank you guys. oh and had a really good cocktail one Friday night too!!
I have been to greenglass twice - once for dinner and once for lunch. Both times the experience was excellent.
The food menu changes from day to day and they have a great selection of Australian wines to choose from.
The atmosphere and the staff have always been kind and attentive to me. I highly recommend it for a different dining experience you that won't find elsewhere in Brisbane.
Great little bistro in Brisbane. Feel like I'm in France when I'm there. A welcome addition to the city and excellent value! Looking forward to coming here many more times.
A former omnibus of vocations and callings including recently a ballet studio, a travel agency and law firm this circa 1890 conglomeration of chambers and studio in George street Brisbane has had an interesting ownership since the seventies. It is now Greenglass and has a French chef who presents classic French bistro fare. But that's just the start. Always changing menu, just come and ask for food. The wine list is interesting, eclectic Australian and considered without being inaccessible. Taste here and buy for home allows one to follow ones nose. Arcanely named for the green transom light. Beautiful, thank you, and while not quite ballet practice, there is high art here. The food is good but ask for help with the wine list because there are hidden treasures.
Beautiful French restaurant with great food, venue and staff.
I haven't been to many French restaurants and I was blown away with pureness in the flavours and elevation of ingredients such as the salad.
Was my first creme brulee and was the highlight of the evening.
For my birthday dinner, I and wife, we went to this restaurant. Very nice french restaurant, staff very friendly and atmosphere is great & nice deco.
However food was quite salty for me.. :(
You may need to ask them do not put too much salt on food.
We had steak frites & eye fillet steak.... steak frites was good and okay but eye fillet, compared with price. Taste and quality weren’t that good.

We went to Greenglass for a birthday dinner and I can’t rave about it enough! The staff were absolutely amazing, the food was delicious (would recommend the Pomme dauphine to a friend) and there was a lovely selection of wines. The space itself is very minimally decorated, which adds to its charm.
This restaurant is situated at the edge of CBD, not as busy at the heart of queens st mall. The low-profile entrance did give me a surprise of the inside setting.
The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering starters and main courses that will appeal to youngsters and adults alike. Everything we had was fresh and delicious. The French wine recommended was of great value.
The highlight of tonight’s dinner was the creme brûlée - good portion size and probably the best in town. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is brilliant.
Beautiful little hidden gem on George Street with a nice atmosphere. They have a nice French menu collection with good wines to complement. I had the braised beef cheek followed by the creme brulee. Both of which were generous portions. The beef cheek was well cooked, with a lovely rich sauce and side vegetables. The creme brulee was silky smooth with a hint of salt to pair back the sweetness. Very enjoyable.
My partner recently surprised me on a dinner date here and it was Such a divine experience! I was blown away from the get go, waking into the stunning atmosphere. The vibe here is to die for. The food menu was spectacular and I wanted to try everything – ended up narrowing it down to a few delicious items from a duck entree, chicken mains, broccolini sides, finished with a espresso, chocolate and crème brûlée! Each dish was absolutely tantalising, so much flavour so tasty and such high quality! Plentiful drinks menu too. Nothing but smiles left on our faces! Have been raving on about this place to our friends, can’t wait to dine here again! Such a beautiful spot
Do yourself a favour. Brilliant service from our waiter. Great food and atmosphere. My salmon was cooked exactly how I asked for it. I was visiting Brisbane, but if I lived there I would dine here frequently. An excellent night of dining. And do get a dessert.
Went here for dinner last night with my work colleagues and we were all so impressed by the unbelievable food & atmosphere.
Everything we had last night was simply sublime & could not fault any of the food.
5 out of 5 stars!
