Just had to wait 2 hours for fish and chips. Absolutely never again. If you knew Easter Friday was going to be busy like most years then please be respectful and organise more staff. 2 hours is 💯 not acceptable.

My first experience eating at the Fishmonger's Wife. We enjoyed the fact it's situated in the Hawthorne eatery hub but off busy Hawthorne Rd. On a winter's day we chose a warming sunny table location. My grilled snapper was very nice. Licensed venue also a bonus. Service was friendly and efficient.
Regular customer, love the food so decided to book our elopement wedding there. Called and got a spot in the private function room. Despite them apologising for being short staffed, the service was still prompt and delicious!
The atmosphere is casual and welcoming , we thoroughly enjoyed the meal and we also recommend the Calamari and Papaya Salad!
